In Shadow of the Erdtree, some areas are pretty difficult to get to – just like in the Elden Ring main game. It’s worth trying to get to as many areas as possible in Shadow of the Erdtree, because of the Scadutree Fragments. The Abyssal Woods is a bit of a tough one, because you have to go through a dungeon to get there, and even that dungeon is pretty tough to get to. Here’s how to get there.
How to get to the Abyssal Woods in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
In order to get to the Abyssal Woods, you need to first do a couple of other things, but they don’t take too long, and they’re not all that difficult, so bear with. The first thing you have to do is get to the Darklight Catacombs, so check out our guide on how to do that. In order to get to the Darklight Catacombs, you need to find the Hidden Coffin, so check out our guide on How to find the hidden coffin in the Shadow Keep to get there.
Once you are in the Darklight Catacombs, you need to make your way through to the far end. Fortunately, this isn’t a tough dungeon at all. It’s very linear, and all you’re ever doing is making your way downwards.
At the end of the dungeon, you will run into a fairly tough boss, called Jori, Elder Inquisitor, and this guy is basically an arsehole. Check out our guide on how to beat Jori, Elder Inquisitor to help you get through it. Once you have beaten Jori, you will be able to exit the boss chamber into the Abyssal Woods – huzzah!
