Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – All Crystal Tear locations

Josh Wise

In Shadow of the Erdtree, you will find a number of new Crystal Tears, which you can mix with your Wondrous Physick and get cool new powers. That's the good news. The bad news is that all eight of these new Crystal Tears are held by Furnace Golems. Those are the enemies that you find lumbering about the place, who are a few stories tall and look to be made out of of burning wicker.

If you want the Crystal Tears, you will have to track these lads down and kill them all. Below you will find the locations of all eight Furnace Golems, as well as the Crystal Tears that you will get from each of them.

All Crystal Tear locations in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Gravesite Plain

Difficult to miss this one. You will see him walking in the distance as soon as you are in Gravesite Plain. If you can kill him, you will get the Deflecting Hardtear, which boosts your defence and damage negation when guarding.

Ellac River

You will find this one walking on the Ellac River, just minding his own business. It's just before you get to the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace. Kill him to unlock the Viridian Hidden Tear, which makes your stamina limitless for a time. Great if you're an active melee build!

Charo’s Hidden Grave

Head southwest from the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion Site of Grace, and you will find this Furnace Golem walking in Charo’s Hidden Grave. Kill him to receive the Glovewort Crystal Tear, which boosts the potency of your Spirit Ashes.

Scadu Altus 1

You’ll see this lad as soon as you enter Scadu Altus. He’s visible right from the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. He will drop the Crimsonburst Dried Tear, which gradually heals your allies, and also your Spirit Ashes. Very useful in boss fights.

Scadu Altus 2

This lovely fellow is hanging out on the eastern side of Scadu Altus. Start at the Bridge Leading to the Village Site of Grace, and, as you ride through the narrow passageway that takes you out onto the large plain, he will be there to greet you. Kill him, and you will receive the Cerulean-Sapping Cracked Tear, which restores FP when you land attacks.

Ancient Ruins of Rauh

You will find this guy on the other side of the shattered bridges that lead over to Rauh Base, and be careful when crossing the bridge, too, because he shoots a flamethrower burst right down the middle. Kill him, and you will get the Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear, which restores your HP when you land attacks.

Ruins of Unte 1

This is the fellow that surprises you by rising up out the water to the southeast of the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace. Killing it will net you the Oil-Soaked Tear, which lets you soak your enemies in oil; combine that with any fire-based attack, and you will do big-time damage.

Ruins of Unte 2

There’s a bit of a trick to this one, because you actually have to bring it to life, in order to then kill it again. In order to bring it to life, you need to throw a Hefty Fire Pot into the open bowl of its head. Once you’ve killed it again, you will get the Bloodsucking Cracked Tear, which temporarily boosts your attack at the expense of your HP, which starts to gradually ebb.
