You'll unlock a crossbow during the Haus DLC story, but you'll unlock a much stronger one at the end of the DLC story. Return to the cul de sac, step on the grass to spawn zombies, then maim their legs to turn them into crawlers. Once you have enough zombies, line them up and start hitting headshots as fast as you can.
