This week's Deals with Gold are in, as always thanks to Major Nelson, and they have a selection of good things on sale (stranger), with a spotlight sale, an huge selection of DLC add-ons and a horror-themed summer sale.

Titles such as Hitman: GOTY Edition, BioShock: The Collection and Alien: Isolation are a huge 80% off, making this the perfect time to pick up those blockbusters if you haven't already. The Add-On Sale covers a wide variety of games, with season passes for Arkham Knight, Ace Combat 7, and Tekken 7 among others heavily discounted. If you were eyeing up any DLC packs recently, it's probably worth checking to see if they're in the sale now.

There is also a 'Shocktober in Summer' sale, with plenty of horror (and horror-adjacent) titles available at big discounts. Blair Witch, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, all the Dead Rising games, Dying Light, Little Nightmares, Hunt: Showdown, Sea of Solitude and Zombi just some of the many spooky games available at a lower price this week.

Make sure not to overlook the Xbox 360 side of things as well, with some gems like Alice: Madness Returns, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Dead Space, Dante's Inferno and the Silent Hill HD Collection all up to 75% off.

You can check out the full list of games on sale over at Major Nelson here. I think I'll finally pick up Lords of Shadow and Alice: Madness Returns to give them a try, but are you tempted by any titles in the sale? Let us know down in the comments.

  • I don't know why Baldur's Gate has been on sale on every platform at least once now except Xbox.
  • @1, I've seen that happen with other games too. Nintendo Switch has Phantom Doctrine on sale practically every other week, and yet I've never seen it go on sale for Xbox. I want it for Xbox, because general consensus reviews say it can get a little sluggish on the Switch. I have a feeling it has to do with Microsoft taking a bigger cut because whenever you see sales or even pricing for a game across the three platforms, Microsoft in most cases, has the higher price.

  • Dead Space 2 Severed DLC is finally on sale. :)
  • Grabbed Get Even and The Sinking CIty for £21 total, not a bad sale. @2/3 - I think that MS, Sony and Nintendo all subscribe to the standard 30% cut.
