**Very Missable**

In Dragon's Dogma 2 there are 10 vocations, AKA classes, ranging from the traditional Mage and Warrior classes, to the more offbeat Warfarer and Mystic Spearhand classes. And for those 10 classes, there are 12 “Maister teachings,” which come in the form of tomes, and contain the game's most powerful special moves for each class.

Now, learning all 12 teachings on its own will not only require you to unlock all 10 vocations (you can't read the tomes unless you know the vocations), but it'll require careful planning too. That is why we've marked it down as “very missable.” 

That's because some of the Maister’s teachings are locked into timed side quests (although we found a way around that) and others require the same items to complete multiple different people’s side quests (see Spellbound and the Sorcerer's Appraisal). Heck, some can be locked out if you get unlucky too, like Sigurd dying in the lesser dragon fight at the top of Dragonsbreath Tower, and despite resurrecting him, he might not want to get to know you or accept any gifts so you can’t raise your affinity with him. So, just be careful with this one.
