Introduction:

Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking grunt of a low-ranking yakuza family in Tokyo, faces an 18-year prison sentence after taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit. Never losing faith, he loyally serves his time and returns to society to discover that no one was waiting for him on the outside, and his clan has been destroyed by the man he respected most. Confused and alone, he embarks on a mission to discover the truth behind his family's betrayal and take his life back, becoming an unlikely hero for the city’s outcasts on his journey.

Experience dynamic RPG combat like none other. Switch between 19 unique Jobs ranging from Bodyguard to Musician, and use the battlefield as your weapon. Take up bats, umbrellas, bikes, street signs, and everything else at your disposal to crack some skulls!

Step 1: Complete the Story

Your first main goal when going for this completion should be to simply finish out the main story. Because no achievements are missable, you can enjoy the game and worry about everything else later. However, it's obviously helpful and will cut down on some grinding later if you do keep a few things in mind:

Watch your party member's bond (friendship) progress, and whenever someone maxes out a level of their bond, visit the Survive bar for a scene to allow them to level up and continue to progress.
Feel free to do any substories or part-time hero quests marked on the map as you travel from place to place for the story.
Use and upgrade at the Romance Workshop often to keep your damage output up.
Chapter 5: Complete the entire Business Management mini-game as soon as it becomes available. This will give you 50-55m Yen which will take care of any money worries for the rest of the game, as well as getting all those achievements out of the way.
Chapter 11: You will now have access to all party members and nearly all side content. This is a great time to take a break from the story and knock out some of the optional content like watching all movies, doing table talks, upgrading bond levels and personality traits, doing some of the dragon kart races (some are locked until Ch. 15), more substories and part-time hero missions, etc. This is totally optional of course.
Chapter 12: Complete the battle arena and get four sets of dragon armor as rewards, which will outfit your party for the rest of the game, including all post-game content.

Step 2: Premium Adventure

All side-content and new dungeons will open up once you complete the story. You should use the level grinding method to get all your character levels and at least one job per character to max level as well to prepare for the next step and make the new dungeons easier as well.

Step 3: Millenium Tower
If you leveled up as described above, this shouldn't be terribly difficulty. The grinding takes a good 20+ hours on its own, so that's the "difficult" part. See the associated achievement below for tips.

Conclusion:

The Yakuza series took a huge shift as far as gameplay goes with this release, moving to a fully fledged RPG with turn-based combat. It's my first experience with it for exactly that reason and I really, really enjoyed it. All the trappings are there, including a decent grind and really tough final challenge in the Millenium Tower. Luckily, it avoids any missable achievements, so aside from a time sink, the completion is fairly simple.

Viewed more than 20 Table Talk scenes.
Table Talk scenes are conversations you might have with party members after ordering food at one of the game's restraunts in Ijincho. There are a total of 42 of these, and different food combinations will trigger each talk whether the party member is in your active party or not. I'd suggest waiting until you have all your party members, then go to each restraunt and order the items below one at a time. Once you have seen every talk at a restraunt, move to another until the achievement unlocks.

To reach Executive Hero rank in the Part-time Hero sub-game, you must receive a total of 300 stars from various tasks in the game. The easiest of these quests to complete are SOS Rescue quests which are just a quick battle and will be marked on the map as they unlock. Delivery quests can be a bit difficult depending on the item requested, but most you'll have the items from regular exploration, and all the battle ones can be bought from the black market shops in Kamurocho. Special Delivery bathroom quests require 21 pocket tissues purchased as rewards from the Can Collector vendor (see Can Quest Hero (15G)). Missing Person locations can be found HERE. Missing Cat locations can be found HERE. Kappa Statue locations can be found HERE.

Once you complete a quest, if it doesn't reward your stars right away, be sure to report your success to one of the people at the blue helmet locations on the map, and once you reach a total of 300 stars the achievement will unlock.

You will likely get to Level 50+ just from completing the story, but will need to grind out the rest of the levels to unlock this achievement. You realistically need to hit the level cap of 99 to complete the True Millenium Tower anyway, so this will come along the way if you plan to get Victory of the Millennium (80G).

The preferred method to grind out levels would be using the Kamurocho Sewers dungeon. You can find "Invested Vagabond" enemies inside groups of enemies here which essentially mimic "metal" enemies from many other JRPGs and offer huge experience bonuses if you can defeat them before they run away. Each group of enemies with a Vagabond inside will yield nearly 450k level experience and 400k job experience. These enemies however will only take one point of damage per normal hit (more for a ciritical), so be sure to use multi-hit skills to maximize your damage output such as Nanba's Pyro Breath or Joon-Gi's Rapid Shot. Use the route below to kill all four Vagabond enemies (running from all other fights with ), then go back up to the first floor of the dungeon to save, then return down below to respawn the enemies and repeat. Make sure you equip a Dragonfish Tenugui on Kasuga (found HERE), and two job xp boosting items on everyone else to speed up that process). Whenever you max out a job for a character you should leave and switch to a new one, prioritizing learning new elemental skills so every character has fire, ice, and lightning abilities. Leveling multiple jobs will give permanent stat boosts to your characters even when that job is not equipped, so it's helpful to continue doing this even after hitting character Level 99.

Kasuga's personality traits are broken down into Kindness, Passion, Intellect, Charisma, Confidence, and Style. These affect which jobs he can equip, various side-quests, and who you can hire for the Business Management mini-game. To unlock this achievement, you must get all six to Level 10. You will get most of the way to this goal simply by completing other achievements such as Dragon Kart racing, Table Talks, watching all the movies, finding all Honk-Honks, doing the certificates at Ounabara Vocational School, etc.

If you still don't have this after completing most of the rest of the achievements, you can win a bunch of Dragon Kart races to purchase the "Rise Up!" item for 2500 rings each which gives +50 to all six traits.
Job Hopper

As Kasuga's personality traits increase, more jobs will become available at Hello Work to switch to. Once a job shows a level by it, that means you've equipped it at least once. You will need to get Style and Charisma to Level 3, Kindness and Passion to Level 5, and Confidence and Intellect to Level 7 for all jobs to become available. From there, just switch to all of them once to unlock the achievement.
Career Counseling

This one is pretty simple once you get the ability to change jobs at Hello Work. Simply switch everyone to any other job (doesn't matter what, so long as it isn't what their job was when they joined your party), and move Ksauga to Hero and then leave Hello Work and roam the streets to find a random battle. Win with everyone assigned to their new jobs to unlock the achievement.

For this achievement, "max" rank is actually Level 30 for each job (the original max in the Japanese version of the game). Jobs now can go up to Level 99. You only need seven different jobs across all characters to hit Level 30 as well, so assuming you have diversified your characters, you'll get Rank 30 with each of them around the same time and unlock this achievement.

To accomplish this, you will need to donate a total of 22.25m Yen to the workshop. This sounds like a lot, but you should net yourself about 50m or more by completing all the achievements related to the Business Management mini-game. See Presidential Power (15G) for info on that.

There are a total of 252 Sujimon in the game, with some being exclusive to various substories or other content. Assuming you are going for the completion, this will come along the way.
Pound It

Poundmates are Yakuza's version of a summon, with Kasuga calling for help from various characters you meet on your journey during battle. These are very powerful, and more will unlock as you complete the story and side-content. Each summon will cost a certain amount of Yen, which can get expensive, but they immensely help when available (sometimes it will be blocked in dungeons or certain areas). Use this option in battle 30 times to unlock the achievement.
Heir to the Legend

Beat the Sotenbori Battle Arena.
This will unlock during Chapter 12 of the story, and consists of 30 different floors with harder and harder fights. You will get a checkpoint every five floors, and losing a battle just boots you back to the street where you can then go heal somewhere and return to try again. It may take a few tries to complete right when it unlocks in Chapter 12, but it's advisable to do it then to make the rest of the game easier and help prepare for post-game content.
Fulfiller of Dreams

This achievement is unlocked by completing the Final Millennium Tower. You will face a harder version of this for Victory of the Millennium (80G) so see that solution for preparation tips.

After obtaining Rank 1 in the Business Management mini-game, you will need to grind out a few more periods of business to have a total of 10b Yen in earning inside the mini-game. You should be averaging about 800 thousand Yen per period, with one shareholder meeting in between each run. I think every third period you'll get an opportunity to run a television ad which doubles your revenue, so be sure to always do that, and make sure you keep up employee happiness to maximize your earnings as well.

Raised Kasuga's company into the top company in Yokohama.
This is unlocked by reaching Rank 1 in the Business Management mini-game. This opens up as part of the story during Chapter 5, and I'd highly suggest doing the entire thing right away. You will get 50-55m Yen in rewards from completing it, which should set you up nicely to buy anything you want and be stocked well for healing items and crafting materials for the rest of the game.

I used this guide as a template for when to purchase/sell certain properties, but other than switching those out from time to time, the gameplay cycle is the same. You want to continue to invest all your money into upgrading businesses and assigning the best possible employees to run them. Be sure to keep 10m Yen available if possible in case the option to purchase advertising comes in, as that will double all your earnings for that period. You'll start out with bronze colored (Normal) ranked employees, and eventually have the chance to hire R, SR, and SSR employees in ascending order. It doesn't matter that much which businesses get which employees, though there are symbols on the cards and the business you can match if you want.

Continue running the profit earnings and after four of them you will have to do a shareholder meeting, which ends up being a bit of a rock, paper, scissors battle. This is really where the employees matter a bit more. You want to make sure you have one of each color: green, red, and blue. Remember that green (stacks of money) beats blue (a building); blue beats red (a person); and finally, red beats green. You will have to do this twice per chairperson. First, they will stand up and yell something at you, and their speech bubble will be a certain color. Use the corrosponding winning color to break their defense, then they will have an associated color on their health bar as well, so use the corrosponding winning color against that. Sometimes the speech bubble and their health color are the same, but that's just random. Defeat enough board members to get your approval to 100% and then you can simply play defense if you'd like, breaking their speech bubble and waiting out the clock for a successful shareholder meeting.

Repeat this process of upgrading businesses, hiring better employees, and nailing the shareholder meetings to continually raise your overall profits and your business ranking. Follow the guide I linked above to help assist in when to swap out business to continue becoming more profitable. Eventually you will reach Rank 1 and unlock this achievement.
Aggressive Executive

You should unlock this naturally if following the suggestions in the guide I linked under the Presidential Power (15G) achievement guide. You will eventually have a total of five slots for businesses, and will likely swap out at least five of those for better ones as you build up your rankings.
Man About Town

For this achievement, you must interact with ten unique places that are marked by the pink controller on the map. For instance, you can do karaoke at the Survive bar, do the Dragon Kart races, etc. You will play at least five of these for other achievements, so you'll just need to try out a few more to finish off the achievement.
Certified Genius

Obtained over 10 certificates from the vocational school.
The Ounbara Vocational School is introduced as part of the story. This places offers quizzes that can help raise some of Kasuga's personality traits. Some of the tests cost a decent amount of Yen to take, so wait until finishing the Business Management mini-game to do these. I'd suggest completing all of them to help raise your personality traits to max. A complete list of all possible answers for these tests can be found HERE. Each quize will require a total of three out of five correct answers to pass, except for the final exam which requires a perfect score, and pulls questions from every quiz before it.
Pop the Cork

Beat all Dragon Kart cups and rival races.
This mini-game will be introduced as part of the story. There are a total of four grand prix cups to complete by getting first place (each with three races) and a total of six rivals to beat. Some of the rivals won't be available to challenge until Chapter 15, so you can just leave this until then. Once you beat the first three grand prix cups, make sure you talk to people are the race track entrance to challenge them to unlock the fourth cup. After completing that, you can challenge the Dragon Fighter from the mini-game's menu.

I'd suggest using a fully upgraded Navy Fang kart until the Rapid Phantom kart unlocks, then use that for the remainder of the races. It doesn't have a super high top speed, but it handles really well and not crashing should be your main goal. During the races, prioritize getting the green speed boosts, and secondarily getting either of the blue power ups (one is invincibility, the other is a space laser). Use your speed boosts to go through sand or electric traps as short cuts, and use a jump slide with around any tight corners. The driving takes some getting used to, but you'll routinely be getting first once you manage to avoid crashing.
Can Quest Hero

Beat all the can-collecting courses.
This mini-game is introduced as part of the story very early on and can be completed right away. It basically mimics a game of pac-man where you'll ride around on a bike collecting cans, avoiding other characters who can knock you out and steal your cans. You can speed boost into them and steal their cans though! There are a total of three courses to complete, each requiring a larger number of cans. You don't have to go over that total to get credit toward this achievement, but larger totals will reward more points to use in the Can Collector's shop.
Sleep Sheep Slapper

Watched all the movies at the theater without falling asleep.
After completing substory 8 at the Seagull Cinema (you unlock it automatically) you can "watch" a total of ten movies, which is actually just a DDR-style mini-game. Sheep will pop up and try to cast a sleep spell on you as you watch the movie, and you'll use the D-Pad for any on the left and the face buttons for any on the right to knock them down. Some will say "rapid" and you'll have to press that input five times. You'll want to watch out and avoid hitting any chickens, as this will "hurt" you, as will pressing the wrong input multiple times. Getting "hurt" too many times will have you fall asleep and fail. You don't have to get any certain scores in this game, just survive all ten movies.

Side note: bringing a friend with you to watch the movie will increase your bond, so be sure to do that.
Playing With Fire

This achievement requires finishing any two of the following substories: 14, 47, 48, 49, 50, or 51. You can see the requirements to unlock and complete these HERE.
Honk-Honk Hero

Found all the people who will give you a honk-honk.
Honk-Honks in this game are similar to the Dragon Quest "Puff-Puff" but here they will increase your personality traits. There are a total of five people to find for this achievement, and unfortunately the person will not always spawn when you go to the appropriate location. If they didn't spawn, use a taxi for another chance and repeat until they show up. The locations of each person can be found HERE.
Fight on the Sidewalk!

Someone got run over by a car in battle.
This one is more difficult than it should be. I tried for it multiple times early in the game, then eventually got it during a required story battle right outside the entrance of a building. Basically, you want to start a battle near a busy street, but make sure none of your characters are in the street when the battle starts or all the cars will automatically stop. Once the battle starts, use any skill that will send enemies backward (such as Kasuga's bat swings) and hope that they end up in the street and a car continues to drive straight into them. You can even get the achievement if the enemy is defeated already and the car hits the despawning body. It will also unlock if one of your party members is knocked into the street and hit. You should get this eventually by luck, but if not keep fighting enemies near Tsurukame Highway.
Victory of the Millennium

Beat the True Final Millennium Tower.
Alright, here we go. This is the final test in the game. This optional dungeon is unlocked in Premium Adventure (post-game) by completing the regular Final Millenium Tower and ratchets up the difficulty with all Level 99 enemies. It mirrors the final dungeon of the main story, but is obviously significantly more difficult. I would highly suggest being Level 99 yourself, with at least one job maxed at Level 99, and a few others to Level 30 to learn their permanent bonus skills, as well as getting some of the passive stat buffs from having more jobs leveled up.

My final party ended up being the following, with the first job listed as their primary equipped job:
- Kasuga: 99 Hero, 57 Freelancer, 30 Breaker, 30 Devil Rocker, 30 Foreman, 30 Chef. Devil Rocker is from paid DLC, so that's obviously optional, and I realized too late I should have also done 30 Host for an Ice damage skill. His weapon was at EX+3. He had Quixotic Helm/Armor with Dragon Boots. The Dragon Boots are a must for the extra agility even though other armors have better defense. More turns is key. Accessories were Courage Pendant and Eye of the Dragon.
- Adachi: 99 Enforcer, 41 Detective, 30 Breaker, 30 Host, 44 Chef, 30 Fortuneteller. His weapon was only EX, no plus at all. Could have benefited from upgrading it, but I switched him in after working on Nanba first and realizing Nanba kinda sucked. Gear was Viking Helm, Dragon Armor/Boots, Transcendent Insoles, and Courage Pendant.
- Saeko: 99 Idol, 99 Dealer, 30 Night Queen, 30 Matriarch, 30 Hostess. Matriarch is paid DLC, so that can be switched for more levels in anything else. Her weapon was EX+1. Her gear was Viking Helm, Dragon Armor/Boots, Dragon's Binding, and Bracelet of the Four Gods.
- Zhao: 99 Gangster, 40 Host, 54 Breaker, 30 Fortuneteller, 52 Enforcer. His weapon was EX+4. His gear was Viking Helm, Dragon Armor/Boots, War God's Keystone, and Courage Pendant.
The basic gist of this is that I made sure to have each character with as much defense, HP, and agility as possible by leveling their other jobs. I also made sure to have each character with an electric skill that could hit every enemy if possible. I tried the tower at many other points, such as with only a single job at 99 and no others leveled, and again with only two other jobs at 30, and those ended badly. The extra time grinding is key.

As for the actual dungeon, you'll want to bring in a ton of healing items and especially items to replenish your MP, as well as putting backup items in your item box to refill if needed. For every battle, make sure to use Peerless Resolve on Kasuga so he can survive if he somehow gets targeted twice in a row, and renew it on his next turn if it's used up. Saeko should heal every single turn if anyone has lost health, or use Lovedrunk Typhoon to lower defenses if not. Zhao should focus on doing damage, either with Fulmigating Forcast if they are weak to electric or doing Ladder Acrobatics and Phoenix Blade depending on other weaknesses. Adachi should use Paralysis Prongs to deal heavy damage to the most dangerous enemy, or use Electromagnetic Storm if all enemies are weak to electric. Repeat for every battle and you'll be successful. Just focus on healing over damage at all times.

The final test against Amon can go south quickly, so be sure to bring in Miracle Kimchi items which will give you extra turns, and focus solely on Amon until he is dead, even after he summons the extra three enemies. Have your Idol focus only on healing. Kasuga should use Peerless Resolve, then his damage buff shout, and finally he can then do his best bat technique. Adachi will use his Prongs while Zhao does Phoenix Blade until the summons come, then Ladder Acrobatics. The battle is identical to all the normal battles for the first 50% of his health, then it changes considerably. Use your Miracle Kimchi at this point to get extra turns, as burning down his health is now a big priority. After he switches to Beast Style and summons the three ghost entities, have Kasuga begin using all the Poundmates you have, starting with Mr. Masochist for the defense buff. This is the only way you'll survive his Orbital Laser attack. From there, you should be able to kill Amon quickly, followed by Majima, Saejima, then Kiryu. Even after Amon goes down, don't get comfortable and forget about your healing, that should still be your top priority at all times.

If you die to any of the normal enemy encounters you'll be kicked out of the tower. If you die fighting Amon you can retry at the cost of half your money. If you continue to struggle with the setup I've outline above, consider returning to the sewers and leveling up more jobs to at least 30 and maybe even one other to maximum for the extra stat boosts.

Maxed Zhao's Bond Level.
Bond levels are essentially your friendship level with a certain party member. Fighting battles with them, initiating random conversations when walking around the city (press whenever you see a green box on the left of the screen), eating food together at restaurants, watching movies, etc will all contribute to increasing your bond level. Once the progress bar for a level reaches its end and they stop getting bond points, you will need to visit the Survive bar to have a conversation with them to move to the next level continue increasing your bond. Once you reach the end of Level 5, you will fight a battle to completely max out the bond and unlock the achievement.
Friends From Work

Maxed Eri's Bond Level.
Eri's bond is a little unique compared to your other party members. Her bond level increases in direct relation to your status in the Business Management mini-game. Once you reach Rank 1 in the mini-game, you will also max our her bond level. See Presidential Power (15G) for info on accomplishing this task.

Creeps can be found inside any chest in the Ijincho or Kamurocho sewers, and is a guaranteed spawn in the first safe you come across during the story in Chapter 6.
