Introduction:
Welcome to Forza Motorsport 3. Most of the achievements can be obtained offline and the online achievements can easily be obtained with a friend. Changing the difficulty of races does not affect achievements - only the amount of bonus money that you receive after the race. The reason for 100+ hours of gameplay is the Solid Gold achievement, which requires finishing first place in every single race in the game. Since there are 220 separate events with anywhere from one race to six races, it will take some time to obtain this achievement.
Step #1: Season Play
Season play in Forza 3 involves a race in the Championship Series every two weeks with an event of your choosing in between the event. There are six required seasons for the achievements and each one increases in car level and length. For instance, the first season involves E class cars for three races, while the sixth season involves R1 cars for 13 races. Play through all six seasons and you will gain most of the achievements because many are for increasing your driver level and for completing seasons.
Step #2: Miscellaneous/Online Achievements
If at this time you do not own at least one vehicle from every manufacturer, buy the cheapest ones to obtain the Connoisseur achievement. The online achievements are pretty self-explanatory. If you need help selling a car or tuning setup, check out the achievement trading thread here. Get the simple Lapper achievement by completing any time trial. There are various achievements for taking a picture of your car and making a movie from a replay. Lastly, obtain the Drift Lap achievement, which arguably is the hardest achievement in the game. Check out this thread for more help.
Step #3: Solid Gold
Here’s the time consuming achievement. By now, you should hopefully be level 50 or close to it. If you want to play each race, you can, but the simplest way to obtain this achievement would be to go through the event list and use a hired driver for each race. For instance, races in the professional category can take up to twenty minutes each and each event has six races. Although not hard, the achievement will definitely take a long time to obtain.
Conclusion:
Forza 3 is a very fun game and although some races tend to get boring, especially endurance races, Forza 3 is not that hard to 1000
