Introduction:
Welcome to Bayonetta, from Platinum Games. It features a tuned and improved game play mechanic from the Devil May Cry series and can be quite challenging for those, who are new to hack-n-slash games. None of the achievements are missable as you can replay any chapter.
Step#1: Normal Playthrough
Do yourself a favor and start the Game on Normal, so you learn how to dodge, which weapon works against which Enemy, and which Combos are useful. Note that you can train during the load sequences and prolong them if you hit

You can and should do as many Alfheim challenges, collectibles and Fighting related achievements during this playthrough as it makes the game easier if you have larger Magic and Health Gauges and enemies are a lot more aggressive on hard than on normal.
Recommended weapons are Shuraba+Durga(eletric), do unleash Wicked Weaves with long range, damaging charge attacks with the Durga and instant kills for small angels by charging the shuraba. Use whatever you see fit as second set.
Step#2: Hard Playthrough
Basically the same as normal. The major difference is damage taken, the overall enemy aggressiveness, and added enemies like grace&glory in the vestibule. Hopefully you maxed your Health and Magic gauges by now, collected all LPs for the weapons and learned how to dodge. If you are not aiming for a good score, just be persistent and use Items to replenish health or boost Attack/Defense. A good piece of advice is that you utilize the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa as you can block/counter attacks, giving you an edge against the angelic hordes and if you real trouble beating certain enemies/bosses use the yellow lollipops to become invincible.
Step#3: Infinite Climax Playthrough
Finally the last real challenge. Witch Time is completely deactivated and I recommend that you equip the Evil Harvest Rosary as it damages Enemies if you dodge their attacks successfully. Be persistent and use yellow lollipops.
Step#4 Mop up
If you haven't already now is the time to do the Collectibles, Alfheim Challenges and Fighting related achievements. Check the guide how to get the ones you are missing.
Conclusion:
Bayonetta is a great game with a a challenging game play mechanic and a lot easier 1000
