Ii never buy pre-owned but trade my games there towards other games. Seems like a dumb move and i think they will lose more customers than they think. The game where i live is prob 70% toys and collectibles now and upstairs in sports direct bizzarely. The GAME by me is also part of Sports Direct. They seem to focus more on their gaming hub where they change people to play on their PCs.

UK retailer GAME has officially announced that its ‘Trade-In’ programme will be coming to an end next month, meaning you'll no longer be able to hand over your unwanted games, consoles, or accessories in exchange for store credit.
As such, GAME will also cease the sale of used games and consoles, both in-store and online, once existing stock has run out. “We haven’t taken this decision lightly and we are extremely grateful for your loyal custom throughout the years and remain committed to continue to give our passionate gaming fans the best customer experience,” GAME states in a message issued to consumers today.
The closure of the GAME Trade-In programme will also mean the 2% Game Reward points earned by Game Elite members for trade-ins will “no longer be applicable” after the end date. GAME Trade-Ins will no longer be accepted from 16th February 2024.
