Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 ‘The Final Draft’ will be launching this coming Monday, adding New Game Plus to the game, alongside a new ‘Nightmare Difficulty’ level.
“Prepare for an enhanced adventure as we introduce ‘The Final Draft’, providing you with another compelling reason to dive back into the immersive world of Alan Wake,” the announcement reads. “The Final Draft unveils a new ending to the layered story of Alan Wake, sure to spark speculation and theories among our dedicated fans.”
New Game Plus will also include new videos and manuscript pages, alongside “other subtle additions” that flesh out Wake's story and lore, while you'll retain all weapons, Charms, and upgrades accrued during your first playthrough. Nightmare Difficulty, meanwhile, will include “intensified” enemies and strategic gameplay that aims to push you to the limit.
To access New Game Plus, you'll obviously need to have completed Alan Wake 2, and you'll find all unlocked weapons in the first available shoebox for each character. The Final Draft update will be coming to Alan Wake 2 on 11th December at 10am PT/1pm ET/7pm GMT/8pm CET, with an array of bug fixes and “slight” performance optimisations.
