Alan Wake 2 Night Springs DLC Officially Revealed, and it's Out... Tomorrow!

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2's Night Springs DLC will be dropping tomorrow, taking the eponymous tortured writer to the fictional town, where familiar things take a strange turn. Sounds about right.

The Night Springs expansion will comprise three self-contained episodes, offering three ways for Wake to try and fight his way out of the Dark Place's endless loops. Each episode has its own character - a Night Springs echo of themselves, inspired by characters you'll have already encountered.

As the Number One Fan (who resembles waitress Rose Marigold), you'll fight shadows with a shotgun, while as the Actor, Shawn Ashmore aka Sheriff Tim Breaker you'll have to defeat the villain relentlessly hunting you. The North Star episode, meanwhile, features the Sibling, faced with "cosmic caffeine mysteries - she's based upon Control protagonist Jesse Faden.

As well as combat, there will be puzzles to solve, weird dream logic and twists to contend with, as well as a playable arcade game and a comic book to experience. Night Springs will be followed up by Alan Wake 2's Lake House DLC later in the year, and comes with a Photo Mode, which also arrives as a free update from tomorrow.

The Night Springs expansion launches for Alan Wake 2 on 8th June, while a physical Deluxe and Collector's Edition will also go live for pre-order at the same time.
