Bandai Namco has announced that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has sold five million copies worldwide in just three days.
“This milestone is the result of the tremendous support from fans all over the world, to whom we express our heartfelt gratitude,” the company wrote in a press release. Shadow of the Erdtree released on 21st June, and has become a huge success, despite a fair few gripes about high difficulty.
Developer FromSoftware has attempted to remedy this a bit, releasing a “calibration update” to help balance the expansion's Shadow Realm Blessing enhancements. Shadow of the Erdtree sees you following in the footsteps of Miquella, facing new dangers and formidable bosses, using new spells, weapons, and armour.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is out now for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. And while Shadow of the Erdtree has sold five million units so far, Elden Ring itself has shifted more than 25 million since its launch in February 2022.
