Introduction:
A new RPG from the hugely popular manga and anime series ONE PIECE, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the series! The famed pirate, Monkey.D.Luffy, better known as Straw Hat Luffy, and his Straw Hat Crew, are sailing across the New World in search of the next island and the next adventure that awaits them. But during their voyage they are caught in a storm and shipwrecked. They find themselves washed up on a lush tropical island surrounded by constantly raging storms... Separated from his crew, Luffy sets off on a grand, new adventure to find his friends and escape the island! Dangerous new enemies, terrifying forces of nature, and more await them! Play as various members of the Straw Hat Crew in a classic RPG set in the world of the popular ONE PIECE anime!

Step 1: Complete the Story
There is no difficulty setting, but if you plan to get the full completion with the DLC achievements, you will be given a number of accessories from purchasing the Adventure Expansion that make the beginning of the game especially easy and adds a ton of stats to all of your characters. You can give them one of each (attack, defense, HP, and guts) or load up Luffy with four attack boosts to make him a powerhouse.

As you play through the story, I would highly suggest following the video under Collector (10G) to grab all the Yaya Cubes as you go through each area, as well as completing all the side-quests you see (marked with blue icons on the map), memory links (purple icons) and grab bounties from the taverns and complete those (yellow icons) so that you have less backtracking to do later on. You will need to return to earlier sections for some locked treasure chests once you get the key in Chapter 8, and probably to find some of the hidden items that you can spot while playing as Sanji, Robin, and Nami - always have one of those three as your on-screen character unless you need someone else's ability at that specific moment. Also be on the lookout for each character's specific Cube Fragments which are the glowing green pickups.

One thing this game does extremely poorly is helping you track some of the collectible and crafting achievements. The Yaya Cubes specifically mentioned above, there are 99 of these and absolutely no way in game to figure out which ones you may be missing. Similarly, cooking with Sanji and crafting with Usopp is not tracked at all, so write down which of those you do with each character and do not craft more than one of each kind of food/trick so you can avoid grinding out materials later on.

Once you unlock the ability to auto-battle shortly into the game, this can easily get you through most of the basic fights in the game. The team will use special moves, healing abilities, and even items effectively - it's one of the better auto-battle AI systems I have seen. Feel free to use that, and press rt.png in battle to speed up all the attack animations to make things go a bit quicker.

Step 2: Mop Up Collectibles and Quests
Once you are done with the story, go back through every area and ensure you have complete all of the side-quests and bounties, collected all the Yaya Cubes, character Cube Fragments, and locked chests, found enough hidden items with Sanji, Robin, and Nami, build bridges with Franky, and crafted one of each recipe with Sanji and Trick Ball with Usopp.

Step 3: Level Up and Defeat Powerful Enemies
You will want to be a minimum of Level 70, or overlevel to 80+ to really make this step simple, and defeat each of the Powerful Enemies unlocked by one of the side-quests. See Challenge Enemy Conqueror (125G) for info on how to power level and where to find each of these bosses.

Reunion of Memories DLC

To begin the Reuinion of Memories story, you will need to complete the story of the main game first, then a new blue cube will show up next to the save point at Adio's house in Waford. You can use this to enter the DLC, and you can use any save point inside the DLC (which will now glow red instead of blue) to exit the DLC, then use the cube again to return.

This DLC is fairly straightforward, though it does have two separate endings. The [A] ending consists of finding seven hidden Ninja Yoisa in the added chapters and choosing positive choices with Lim (see Cleared final chapter [A] (125G) for the exact choices). You will want to collect the ninjas as you go, but DO NOT complete the objectives in the menu to get the rewards. You want to complete the DLC once without the rewards to receive the basic [L] ending, saving prior to the final boss fight. Then, reload that save and claim all the rewards from the menu and beat the boss a second time to get the [A] ending.

Note: It is important to do the endings in this order, because if you answer with all the positive Lim choices and complete all the Yoisa challenges from the menu on the same save file, you will only be eligible for the [A] ending. The only way to then get the [L] ending is replaying the entire DLC and instead select the bad Lim dialogue choices, since the Yoisa challenges are saved to your character permanetly. To avoid a second playthrough of the DLC, pay close attention to these requirements.

The fights in this DLC can sometimes be annoying, as they often have special win conditions such as beating the enemy with a specific character, or once even harming a character to under 20% health without killing them. The fights show a recommended level of 55-70 throughout the DLC, but those estimates are way off. The final few bosses could one-shot me at Level 90+ and even had to tweak some of my accessory setups to do decent damage. More on that in the guide below.

For your party, I would suggest using Chopper to heal and stuffing him full of DEF/HP/GUTS accessories to make him a tank. Add a TP Auto-Regen and he can just throw an area-wide heal every time. I then used Zoro, Luffy, and Nami since they all had attacks that could hit every enemy in the fight, and have decent single-target attacks as well for bosses. Stuff each of them with ATT/HP and sprinkle in some extra DEF/GUTS through fusion. As mentioned above, you may need to swap accessories for certain fights to target an enemy's weakness.

Overall Conclusion:
One Piece Odyssey was quite an enjoyable RPG! I loved the combat system, though most fights I was able to just auto-battle. Once I got to the powerful enemies and the DLC it really brought some strategy into the game though. The exploration and puzzles were good. The side-quests were all quick but provided some good dialogue. The achievements aren't too bad, with only a little planning needed for the DLC endings to avoid two playthroughs of that content - the base game can be done without any worries of missables. The game is also fairly simple up to the end of the DLC, but with a little strategy and proper use of the accessory fusion system as outlined in the guide, you should have little trouble.

There are 55 achievements with a total of 1225 points

  • Got everyone past level 70.

The best place to level up in the game is the final area of Sky Tower. Be sure to have a party (see Party Animal (10G)) which gives ten fights of bonus experience. You can use either the Purity Garden as mentioned in the video below, or if you're just starting your leveling process the enemies on Strange Cube Floor Level 4 are a bit easier. I personally just ran from most fights if they did not start out with one of the unique conditions that give bonus experience if completed (such as killing a specific enemy within two turns, or liberating an area by killing all the enemies in front of a specific character). Winning a fight in the Purity Garden area with the party camp bonus and a special condition completed will often give 4-6 Million XP and a few levels at once for each character.

  • Cleared all side stories.

There are 71 total side-quests to complete in the game, and none are missable. These will be marked with blue icons on your map, though each subsequent step of the quest is up to you. Most are fairly straight-forward, but if you get lost at all you can get help from the list HERE which has all of the quests and individual videos to complete each one. While 71 seems like a lot, the quest to collect all 99 Yaya Cubes is broken up into 19 separate quests for instance, with some other quests broken up similarly, so it's not so bad.
  • Turned in all bounties.

There are 30 total bounties to complete in the game. You will unlock these after completing the third side-quest in the game, Meditator Marzin’s Quest. See Pit Stop Pro (40G) for more info on that. From there, you will find a total of 10 bounties in each of the three main memoria: Alabasta, Water Seven, and Dressrosa. You may need to move the story or complete existing bounties for more to show up, so check the bounty board in the taverns often to get new ones. Each of these will get marked on your map with a yellow icon, and are completed immediately after defeating the bounty.
  • Cleared all Memory Links.

Memory Links are introduced in Chapter 2 and can be tracked from the menu. They also show up on the map as purple icons. These are extremely short and simple side-quests (but separate from the 71 required for Pit Stop Pro (40G)) and only take a few minutes to complete - there are 14 in total. Completing these will unlock more Bond Arts for your team.
  • Made all recipes.

There are 27 total recipes to cook in the game, and you will have access to all of them once you can put six of Sanji's cube fragments into his "Cook" field skill after completing Chapter 6. You should get most of the ingredients for this naturally as you defeat enemies and pick up items off the ground, inside boxes, or by shooting down bird nests with Usopp. The game does NOT track which recipes you have cooked, so be sure to write them down as you go!

Note: The last ingredient for most people seems to be "Ringing Apple" which can spawn in a tree directly next to the "Water Seven City Central Area" fast travel point in Water Seven (possibly only this location, in fact). There is a save point just down the road you can use, then just exit the game and keep reloading until you get one. Be sure to save after getting one sucessfully, and reload again to get a second one for the other recipe that needs it as well. Thankfully, we only need the two.
  • Made all Trick Balls.

There are 18 Trick Balls to craft in the game, and you will have access to all of them once you can put six of Usopp's cube fragments into his "Make" field skill after completing Chapter 6. You should get most of the ingredients for this naturally as you defeat enemies and pick up items off the ground, inside boxes, or by shooting down bird nests with Usopp. The game does NOT track which balls you have crafted, so be sure to write them down as you go!

I was able to craft all of these as soon as I put all the cubes into his skill, so I don't think any of the ingredients are rare. So long as you pick up glowing spots and destroy barrels/boxes/pots as you play, you'll be fine. If you don't plan to craft any after getting the achievement, feel free to remove the cubes from the Make ability and put them into his attacks.
  • Opened all the locked treasure chests.

There are 22 locked chests to find in the game. These are red and gold in appearance to set them apart from the regular chests. You will obtain the key for these after completing all of the "Quiz" side-quests (Grand Line Quiz Kid, Lady, Madam, and Mister - each with three levels). Check the side-quest list under Pit Stop Pro (40G) to get the answers. Once you have the key, you can begin backtracking to all the chests using the video below to unlock the achievement. Two of these also require that Franky build a bridge to get to them, see Franky Skywalk (10G) for help with that.

  • Won 300 battles.

This should come naturally as you progress through the story and DLC, and especially after grinding levels to defeat the powerful enemies. If not, just go to any area around Waford and kill the easy enemies there.
  • Cleared chapter 1.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Made 10 recipes.

See Top Cook (40G) for more info.
  • Made 10 Trick Balls.

See Trick Ball Whiz (40G) for more info.
  • Fused 30 accessories.

You will unlock the fusing vending machine after completing Chapter 2, and can find it while making camp, next to Robin. Pick any two random accessories and you will create one stronger one. Repeat this process a total of 30 times to unlock this achievement. If an accessory has three open slots, you will get credit for three fuses by adding each new item since you have to do them one by one.
  • Fused 5 accessories.

See Chasing Champion (10G) for more info.
  • Made an accessory with 4 effects.

You will be able to unlock this achievement once you can put six of Robin's cube fragments into her "Fuse" field skill after completing Chapter 6. From there, pick an accessory from the menu that has four total slots and then choose other accessories to fuse into it to get four different effects (you can only fuse two accessories at one time, so you'll do this three times total to get the four effects). Once you get this achievement, you can use the same accessory to complete all three of Madame Julie's side-quests.

  • Cleared 10 side stories.

See Pit Stop Pro (40G) for more info.
  • Turned in 10 bounties.

See Bounty Hunter (40G) for more info.
  • Cleared 5 Memory Links.

See Certified Fray Fixer (40G) for more info.
  • Had 30 parties.

Parties are the term they use for ending a camp event at a bonfire. This will put you back into the game, restore your HP, and will grant an XP bonus for the next ten fights. You can get this right away as soon as you unlock camping in Chapter 2 by interacting with the fire over and over, or just let it come naturally as you progress through the game. This can also be done by speaking to the bartender at a tavern. You'll go to camp fairly often to cook or craft, and you'll want the XP bonus when grinding levels to tackle the powerful enemies, so there's no need to do this earlier.
  • Collected 99 Yaya Cubes.

Yaya Cubes are collectibles that can be found inside breakable objects. Some of them will be metal boxes and require Zoro's field skill to slash them open. They are essentially useless aside from completing a sequence of 19 different side-quests for rewards. The game does NOT track this for you in any way, so if you miss something you'll be following the video below from start to finish to track it down. I'd highly suggest using the video from the start of the game and marking down which one if any you had to skip for any reason. Even doing that, I still somehow missed one and it ended up being #83 I think, and of course I started the video from the beginning and ran through the entire thing before I figured that out...

  • Collected 50 of Luffy's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 50 of Zoro's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 30 of Nami's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 40 of Usopp's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 40 of Sanji's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 30 of Chopper's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 30 of Robin's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 20 of Franky's cube fragments.

See Cube Collector: Brook (10G) for more info.
  • Collected 6 of Brook's cube fragments.

Cube Fragments are collectibles you will find sitting out in the open inside towns or dungeons and they glow with a bright green light. Quite a few of them will require Luffy to grab them from afar, but most can just be collected off the ground as well. Many boss fights and side-quests reward a few cubes too.

For each of the character achievements, there are more available than are required, so you can miss some and still get the achievements. Once you complete the story, if you're missing any of the achievements, start at the end areas and work backward - the later areas can often reward up to six cube fragments per pickup (usually split between two characters), versus just a single cube fragment in all the earlier areas. Specifically, check the Dressrosa Memoria and Sky Tower in Waford.

You can find videos for all of the cubes by area HERE.
  • Obtained a total of 20,000,000 berries.

Berries are the form of currency in One Piece. Twenty Million may sound like a lot, but you will likely not be purchasing much during the game, so it really starts to add up. The achievement is also cumulative so it doesn't matter if you do go on a spending spree. You'll probably have 50M+ on hand after completing all the achievements though either way.
  • Activated 20 Bond Arts.

Bond Arts are introduced after completing the first required Memory Link. You can access these in battle by pressing dpad-down.png when selecting a battle option, so long as you have at least one level of bond charge. Your bond will charge for quite a few things in battle, from simply defeating enemies to attacking an enemy in a different zone or using an attack that hits every enemy in the battle at the same time. You can use one-charge solo bond arts a total of 20 times to get this achievement to speed things up - the team bond arts cost a few levels of charge each and still only count as one.

Note: Bond Arts are the one thing the AI will never use if you put the game on auto-battle, so be sure to turn it off and manually choose this option until the achievement unlocks before letting the game auto-battle through the story.
  • Did more than 10,000 damage to an enemy with a single attack.

This should come naturally once you level up to 70+ and begin fighting the powerful enemies, and probably well before that even. I got the achievement at about Level 40, though I had two of the EX Attack accessories from the DLC on Luffy to boost his damage quite a bit.
  • Traveled with Gum-Gum Rocket 100 times.

Gum-Gum Rocket is Luffy's field skill, which allows him to grapple onto certain objects. You will see these as glowing green diamonds and can activate this skill by aiming with lt.png and then pressing rt.png to launch yourself. This achievement will come naturally as you need to use this traversal skill often to find collectibles and solve the various puzzles in the dungeons.
  • Cut 20 doors with Zoro's Door Slice.

Door Slice is Zoro's field skill and allows him to cut down metal doors. You will be able to upgrade this with cube fragments later in the game, but it's not necessarily required to get this achievement since all doors respawn when you leave the area. You can return to the Tower of Law in Water Seven to cut down all the prison doors to get this quickly.
  • Used Usopp's Shot 100 times.

Shot is Usopp's field skill and is used the same as Luffy's (aim with lt.png and shoot with rt.png). This is meant to be used to knock over bird nests and gather crafting materials, but you can also get this quickly by going to either the Dust or Ice dungeons in Waford and shooting the deactivated (red) buttons there.

  • Robin collected 20 items with Archaeologist's Appraisals.

Robin's field skill is called "Archaeologist's Appraisal" and allows her to see a unique pickup that will reward information, after unlocking it in the Tower of Law in Chapter 4. These appear as glowing purple pen and paper icons while she is the on-screen character. If she is not the current on-screen character and you come close to one of the pickups (you basically have to step directly on it), she will say "Oh, there's something here." and her dialogue box will pop up in the bottom right of the screen. You can then switch to her to locate it exactly and pick it up.

  • Sanji collected 25 items with Cook's Nose.

Sanji's field skill is called "Cook's Nose" and allows him to see a unique pickup that will reward cooking materials, after unlocking it in Chapter 2. These appear as glowing blue fish icons while he is the on-screen character. If he is not the current on-screen character and you come close to one of the pickups (you basically have to step directly on it), he will say "Well, well. Look at this." and his dialogue box will pop up in the bottom right of the screen. You can then switch to him to locate it exactly and pick it up.

  • Nami collected 25 Items with Treasure Sensor.

Nami's field skill is called "Treasure Censor" and allows her to see a unique pickup that will reward berries, after unlocking it in Chapter 2. These appear as glowing yellow currency icons while she is the on-screen character. If she is not the current on-screen character and you come close to one of the pickups (you basically have to step directly on it), she will say "Oh, my money!" and her dialogue box will pop up in the bottom right of the screen. You can then switch to her to locate it exactly and pick it up.

  • Built a bridge 10 times with Franky Skywalk.

Franky's field skill is called "Skywalk" and allows him to build bridges in specific spots. There are exactly ten in the game for the achievement - mostly required for the story as you go through Dressrosa. You will need some materials called Junk (found nearly eveywhere), Steel Bolts (mostly in Dressrosa chests), two unique items called Wootz Steel Bolts (found near the bridge spot in Marineford - see the video below), and Carbon Bolts (also found in chests in Dressrosa). See the video below for the ten locations where you'll need to use this ability.

  • Victor

    10

    Won 50 battles.

See Battle Master (40G) for more info.
  • Ran from three battles.

As soon as any normal battle starts, press button-y.png to access the strategy menu and choose the "run from battle" option at the bottom to escape. This can fail which gives the enemy a full round of attacks before you can try again, but against normal enemies especially early in the game you shouldn't have a problem.

Secret achievements

  • Defeat all the powerful challenge enemies twice or more.

After completing the game's story, you will find a new character at Adio's house in Waford, a red-eyed version of Lim. This will start a side-quest to defeat a new powerful enemy, and takes you to a fight with Smoker in the desert started by interacting with a yellow cube. Upon completing that fight, you can finish the side-quest and then ten more powerful enemies will show up as the same yellow cube throughout the game. The video below shows the locations and fights for each enemy. I would suggest getting High Leveler (125G) before going for this as it should make most of the fights fairly trivial.

As mentioned in the Road Map, if you setup a party with Chopper as a tank/healer and three other characters with extremely high attack stats, these fights won't pose too much of a threat. If you need to, use meals during the fights to boost your attack and defense while also throwing a trick ball at the enemy to lower their defense and resistance to certain attack types. I didn't have to do that with any of these (unlike the DLC), so just overleveling a bit will be enough. You have to defeat each of these enemies twice - the first fight will always be a cakewalk that you can do with normal attacks to make sure your TP is full, then the second one you'll want to unleash everything you've got.

DLC: Reunion of Memories (Store Link)

There are 5 achievements with a total of 225 points

Secret achievements

  • Viewed Ending [A].

Ending [A] is the "True" ending for the DLC, and requires two things:
    1. Find all 7 Ninja Yoisa AND complete the objective in the menu for each.
    2. Choose all three positive choices with Lim in between chapters.
The video below runs through the locations of all the ninjas, as well as which choices to make with Lim. Please note that you should NOT complete the challenges in the menu until you have saved prior to the final boss so that you can kill the boss without the challenges complete and unlock Cleared final chapter [L] (40G), then reload your save and get this ending. If you accidentally claim the rewards for the challenges on all seven Yoisa and save your game with all the positive Lim choices, you'll need to play through the DLC a second time and make at least one negative Lim choice to get the other ending.

I mentioned earlier in the guide that I never really had to specifically worry about the enemy weaknesses or using meals/trick balls in the base game so long as I had the most powerful accessories equipped to increase the stats I wanted (HP/DEF/GUTS with Chopper and mostly ATT with Zoro/Luffy/Nami). There are some really difficult fights in this DLC, and despite being Level 99 and the "recommended" level being under 70 for some of them, I could still get one-shot or not be putting out enough damage.

The unique mechanic during these boss fights is that they can summon a cube that will power up an attack for the boss after one or two turns, and you can only target the cube during this time. It is imperative you always kill this cube. It is weak to lightning damage, so adding an accessory to Zoro for this DLC will go a long way to making these fights easier, as well as using Nami's Swing Arm. The fight against Law specifically was infuriating, and the first time I made this change. However, the fight directly after is against an enemy who is strong against lightning, so be sure to take it off afterward. These final few fights are also fhte first time in the game I utilized eating meals during the fight, and using trick balls against the enemy.

  • Viewed Ending [L].

See Cleared final chapter [A] (125G) for more info on this. Be sure to defeat the final boss without completing the objectives in the menu for finding the hidden Ninja Yoisa to get this ending and avoid two playthroughs of the DLC.
