Overview:
- Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10
- Offline: 50 [1000gs.png]
- Online: 0 [0gs.png] (All can be achieved offline, but also all can be achieved online too)
- Approximate amount of time to 1000gs.png: 40+ hours (depending on how lucky you get with rolls and world states)
- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 full playthrough, lots of partial playthroughs through Adventure mode.
- Missable achievements: Technically none, as Adventure mode allows you to reroll and replay chapters.
- Does difficulty affect achievements: No
- Unobtainable/glitched achievements: There are a lot of issues with co-op players at the moment. If you’re playing solo, or the host, the counters seem to work with no issues. If you’re a co-op player though, you might get into a bit of trouble. Hopefully there’s a patch coming soon. If not, just play solo.

Intro
The original Remnant game (Remnant: From the Ashes) was the very definition of a cult game. A game that was slow to get going, but via word of mouth, it grew to reach a pretty impressive audience. It was a game that whoever played it, loved it. Remnant 2, then, is the much more accomplished sequel from Gunfire Games. Meaning, in short, it’s bloody great!

In a nutshell, Remnant 2 is effectively Dark Souls with guns. It’s a game with procedurally generated worlds, some really creative missions and secrets, and a really satisfying action-RPG shooter loop. You’ll go from region to region shooting enemies galore, gearing up for the satisfying boss fights. It sounds great, looks pretty decent and is surprisingly deep, what’s not to love?

Walkthrough
Right, so we’ve gushed over it, now let’s get into the nitty gritty. First things first, and this is incredibly important: Remnant 2, like the original, has procedurally generated worlds. That means what we see, and where we encountered things, might not be exactly the same for you - in fact, it might be completely different. That’s great for replayability! Fantastic news! But it makes writing a guide very tricky. However, we’ve tried to include all possible outcomes for as much as we can.

We should mention in further detail too the issues that the game is having with achievements and co-op. But the rule quite simply is: play alone and you’ll have no issues; be the host and you shouldn’t have any issues; play as a guest in someone else’s game and you might come unstuck… well, until it’s patched, that is. So, our advice for now: play alone, or host someone who has already completed the game if you need assistance. If I’m being honest too, I played co-op for a bit with an underleveled friend and it made some of the boss fights harder, which is worth bearing in mind too.

Now that’s out the way, let’s run into how you should play it.

Step 1 - Play the Game You Way
The first step is quite simple: play the game, do your path through to the final boss, defeat the final boss, enjoy yourself. You should, however, keep an eye on a few things and on our few breakout guides:If you keep an eye on those, that means you won’t miss stuff that’s relevant to you. The big guides for melee weapons, guns and Aberrations we’ve split into areas too, so you can keep an eye on each of the areas when you roll your world state. As for the relics, because you only need 10 of 18, we’ve ordered them from the easiest to the hardest (pretty much).

While playing through the game naturally you should unlock multiple Archetypes (for Shhh...It's a Secret (10G)Duality (20G) and Top Performer (30G). You should also encounter a number of Traits to unlock too.

You’ll probably start upgrading your weapons (No One Should Have All That Power (40G)), crafting a boss weapon and upgrading it (The Ultimate Weapon (30G)) and upgrading your relic (Make Some Room (10G)).

Just keep playing, getting as much Scrap as you can (to go towards Scrap Hoarder (30G) ) and working your way through the game.

Once you’ve completed a world you’ll unlock Adventure mode, but I’d leave that until you complete the game once.
If I can offer a handy tip though, to make the boss fights that much easier, just remember that the game assigns the worlds and areas a level based upon your current equipped gear. So, if you save the weapon upgrades (by hoarding the various iterations of Iron) until you come to a boss you’re struggling against, or even better, a World Boss (especially the Nightweaver (Dark Designs (30G)) and the final boss (Forever is a Long Time Coming (50G))), you’ll be able to overlevel yourself against said boss. This was a strategy that helped me out from beginning to end.

Also, don’t forget to unlock that second Archetype (Duality (20G)) as soon as you can.

I will say, before you get cracking though, take a look at the structure in step 2 for the missable stuff, because if you roll the Tal’Ratha storyline first, it might save you a bit of time to choose to get devoured at the beginning of the encounter, so you can get Was This Supposed To Happen? (20G), which is rewarded for getting a World Boss’ alternate reward.

Step 2 - Use Adventure Mode to Access New Content
The next step once you’ve beaten the final boss is to go back to the areas in Adventure mode and complete what you haven’t done already… which will be a lot.

Let’s run you through the achievements (per world) you should get across multiple playthroughs - including bosses per area, and area specific achievements:

Losomn
  • Losomn has two potential storylines: The Nightweaver storyline (Dark Designs (30G)) and the One True King storyline (Traitor (30G) ). If you start in Morrow Parish, that’s the Nightweaver storyline. If you start in the Beatific Palace, you’re on the One True King storyline.
  • Make sure you actually speak to Nimue in Nimue’s Retreat to get Blue Goddess (10G).
  • If you’re on the Nightweaver storyline, don’t forget to get an item from the Nightweaver’s Web for The Web (20G).
The Labyrinth
  • Once you have the Biome Portal Key, seek out the portal that takes you back to Ward 13 to get Leto’s Stash for The Agenda (10G).
Yaesha
  • Yaesha also has two potential storylines: the Ravager storyline (Chaos (30G)) and the Corruptor storyline involving Many Faces (The God Gambit (30G)). If you start in The Red Throne, you’re on the Many Faces storyline. If you start in the Forbidden Grove, you’ve started the Ravager storyline.
  • Look out for the Flautist if you get the Withering Weald spawn to get the Familiar Face (10G) - the Flautist may appear in other variations too, so keep an eye out for blue character icon on your map when in this world.
  • Speak to Meidra in either The Far Woods/The Forbidden Growth in Yaesha (after defeating Legion, and travelling through The Twisted Chantry) and get an alignment reading for Equal Measures (10G).
  • Look out for the two Blood Moon Room locations for Red Room (10G): either the Imperial Gardens or the Cathedral of Omen.
  • Keep an eye out for the Blood Moon Altar for Bad Moon Rising (10G). We found the altar in the Far Woods (on the Many Faces storyline), after we defeated the Mother Mind in the Nameless Nest, and reemerged back into the Far Woods.
  • If you’re on the Ravager storyline, don’t forget to play the secret song on the water harp for Carnage in C-Minor (10G).
  • Also, if you’re on the Ravager storyline, choose to kill the Doe at the beginning of the Ravager fight to get Only Human (10G) too.
N’Erud
  • Again, N’Erud also has 2 main storylines: the Tal’Ratha storyline (Madman's Paradise (30G)) and the Guardian/Seeker storyline (Power Surge (30G)). If you start in the Forgotten Prison, you’re on the Tal’Ratha storyline. If you start in Seeker’s Rest, you’re on the Seeker/Guardian storyline.
  • Look out for the Ascension Spire. When you find it, head inside and speak to the Custodian for Not a Janitor (10G).

If you haven’t done so already, visit Wallace to make your secret Archetype Engram for Shhh...It's a Secret (10G).

At this point though, aside from mopping up some more Aberrations, or getting weapons you may have missed, you should be all done.

Remember, if you’re going after a specific storyline or item, or world state, keep rerolling in Adventure mode until you get the world state you want.

Also, before we wrap up, we've also prepped a load of supplementary guides to assist with your journey through Remnant 2. They are as follows:

Collection Guides

Boss Fight Guides

Safe Code Guides

Puzzle Guides

Item Guides

Miscellaneous Guides

Conclusion
Quite how long this takes you is a little luck based, to be honest. Especially if you need a specific side mission or world state to get a weapon or item you’ve missed. However, the game makes it easy to keep rolling, so all it will take is some patience.

While the achievements in the game itself aren’t too hard, we’ve given it a nice solid 6 in terms of difficulty because the game can be hard - it is a Soulslike, after all. That said, it’s an enjoyable game, and because you don’t see all the content or fight all the bosses in your first runthrough (you can’t, it’s impossible), retrying areas to see new storylines actually doesn’t get old one bit.

If you stick to the assistance in this guide though, and in this Road Map, you’ll be absolutely fine. And remember, until they’ve sorted out the achievement tracking issues, I’d stick to playing it solo.

And on that note… good luck out there!

There are 60 achievements with a total of 1500 points

  • Defeat 100 Special Enemies

Special enemies in Remnant 2 come in the form of the more elite enemies you will face. You can usually work out who a Special Enemy is based purely on their size and moveset. While standard enemies will only take a couple of shots to kill, Special Enemies will take a lot more than that. These enemy types include the big bad asses in Losomn who charge at you with the chainsaw, as well as the Fae knights, and so on.

You should encounter more than 100 of these in one runthrough of the game, so don’t worry about this one too much, especially if you’re going into dungeons to complete side missions and the like as you go. If not, just use Adventure mode, which allows you to repeat regions outside of the campaign, and you’ll rack this up in no time whatsoever.
  • Defeat a Boss in Single-Player Without Taking Any Damage

While this might seem a daunting achievement from the off, fear not, being able to step back into various areas in Adventure mode, once you’ve completed a region, makes this all the more attainable.

In fact, there is even one boss fight that you can do that allows you to get this achievement without raising a finger. That’s right, folks; if you get to the Ravager fight in Yaesha (when you start in the Forbidden Grove), you can choose to kill the Doe before the fight starts and this will not only complete this region and World Boss, but it’ll unlock this achievement too. Sure, it feels cheap, but we’ll definitely sleep soundly in our beds tonight.
  • Defeat a World Boss

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

A “World Boss” in Remnant 2 is quite simply one of the main campaign bosses attached to either Losomn, Ayesha and N’Erud.

However, because of how the game is structured, with starting points being random, this will be different for a lot of people. However, all you need to do to unlock this is complete your first world and defeat its boss, whether it’s the Nightweaver (or Faelin) in Losomn, Many Faces (or Ravager) in Yaesha, or the Guardian of N'Erud (or Tal'Ratha) in N’Erud.
  • Craft a Boss Weapon

The boss weapons that this and both the Almost There (10G) and The Ultimate Weapon (30G) achievements refer to are the weapons you can craft from the various World Boss materials that World Bosses drop once you’ve defeated them.
These include, but are not limited to:
    • The Labyrinth Sentinel, who drops Conflux Prism at the end of The Labyrinth, which makes the Cube Gun handgun.
    • The Corruptor, who drops Twisted Lazurite in The Great Bole (Yaesha), which makes the Twisted Arbalest long gun.
    • Tal’Ratha, who drops Spiced Bile when you defeat it in Tal’Ratha’s Refuge (N’Erud), which makes the Nebula handgun.
    • Nightweaver, who drops Cursed Dream Silks in The Tormented Asylum (Losomn), which makes the Nightfall long gun.
    • Annihilation, who drops the Forgotten Memory in the Blackened Citadel on Root Earth, which makes Alpha/Omega gun.

Once you’ve defeated one, head back to Ward 13 and speak to Ava McCabe and craft one of the above weapons to unlock this achievement.
  • Acquire 10 Melee Weapons

  • Acquire 20 Melee Weapons

Melee weapons throughout Remnant 2 can be acquired in a number of ways. You can find them in the open-world, you can get materials from boss fights to make them, or you can buy them from a vendor (the weapons listed below are not all there from the off, with the store supplied with new stock at various intervals, so if a weapon you seek isn’t there to start with, finish a world and come back).

Get 20 melee weapons and this achievement is all yours. For more assistance on this achievement, check out our Remnant 2 all melee weapons guide for all the whereabouts and unlock conditions for all melee weapons.
  • Choose Your First Archetype

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

You’ll unlock your first Archetype in Ward 13 after completing the tutorial. Before you leave Ward 13 you’ll have to speak to Wallace, who will give you your first Archetype. Archetypes are essential classes that you choose, which dictate your strengths and what skills you have.
  • Slot a Second Archetype

When you reach level 10 in your first selected Archetype (see Top Performer (30G)), you’ll be able to unlock and equip a second Archetype. In order to equip a second Archetype, however, you’ll need to get your hands on one of the game’s many Engrams.

Engrams can be crafted by visiting Wallace with a special item (below), 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 Scrap. While some items that are used to craft Engrams can be purchased from traders from the off, the more useful ones will take a little bit of knowhow. The items and the classes you unlock, as well as where you get them, are as follows:
    • Medic Pin - Healer - Dr. Norah in Ward 13 sells this for 1,500 Scrap.
    • Old Whistle - Handler - Mudtooth in Ward 13 sells this for 1,500 Scrap.
    • Rusty Medal - Hunter - Brabus in Ward 13 sells this for 1,500 Scrap.
    • Old Metal Tool - Challenger - Reggie (next to Mudtooth) in Ward 13 sells this for 1,500 Scrap.
    • Broken Compass - Explorer - Obtained by defeating the last boss of the campaign.
    • Worn Cylinder - Gunslinger - After speaking to Mudtooth (and earning Tall Tales (10G)), he’ll reward you with this.
    • Mysterious Stone - Alchemist - Defeat the Manticora (the werewolf-like beast) in Losomn (either in Ironborough or Morrow Parish). The beast itself will pull you through a sewer grate in a dead end in the open-world if you get too close, just keep a look out for the locals to be making a fuss around it to know where to stand. This will take you to The Segments area, and after you beat the beast, you’ll be rewarded with the Mysterious Stone.
    • Faded Grimoire - Summoner - Can be bought from the Blood Moon Altar in The Far Woods in Yaesha, after defeating the Mother Mind in The Nameless Nest. The Grimoire needs Blood Moon Essence to purchase it, so keep an eye out for the flying purple orbs during a Blood Moon.
    • Alien Device - Engineer - You’ll find this item near the Titan’s Reach world stone checkpoint in N’Erud, in the toxic area nearby (this can either be The Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon). You’ll see it on the map as a blue icon when you get close enough. Use Purified Salve to make your way into the toxic area to grab it.
    • Wooden Shiv - Invader - Trickiest of the lot, this one. Once on Root Earth, near the Corrupted Harbor, there is a small arena (through a door where you previously had to do this area’s survival event). Use the Dreamcatcher on the large corpse in the middle of the arena (which you get by getting the Nightweaver Stone Doll from the basement prison in Morrow Sanatorium in Morrow Parish in Yaesha, and putting it into the Nightweaever’s Web in The Tormented Asylum) and you’ll receive Walker's Dream. Then, use Walker’s Dream and you’ll be teleported to a fight against Bane, an aberration of a Root Walker. Defeat it to get the Wooden Shiv. For an in-depth guide on how to find the Wooden Shiv, check out our Remnant 2 Dreamcatcher secrets guide, which explains how to get it - as well as other uses for the Dreamcatcher.
Once you have the necessary item above, along with the Lumenite Crystals and Scrap, head back to Wallace and you’ll be able to craft that Engram.
  • Reach Level 10 on Any Archetype

All you need to do to unlock this is just play the game, in truth. Playing the game, doing side quests, killing enemies, and so on, will give you XP which goes towards your Archetype level. Once you reach level 10, which is probably about 5-10-hours or so, you’ll unlock this achievement.
  • Obtain a Non-Starter Trait

Non-starter Traits in Remnant 2 are usually earned when you do a specific task/side quest of sorts. These rewards, for instance, are dished out when you go out of your way to do something notable off the beaten path.

The earliest instance we came across was in the Butcher’s Quarters in Losomn. If you find yourself there, there’s a checkpoint crystal outside so you’ll know you’re in the right place. When you head through the alleyway you’ll see a load of villagers setting fire to someone who hangs from a crucifix. Simply kill all the people there and you’ll earn yourself the Shadeskin non-starter Trait. Once you grab it, this achievement will unlock.

There are other instances of these non-start Traits all over the land, and because of the nature of Remnant 2, you may come across a different one first. These are some of the others:
    • Barkskin - Speak to Meidra in The Far Woods/The Forbidden Growth in Yaesha (after defeating Legion, and travelling through The Twisted Chantry). Do her alignment reading and answer helpful answers and you’ll get this.
    • Bloodstream - This is another Meidra alignment reading reward, which you get if you answer with selfish answers.
    • Rugged - Free Likh, High Priest of the Dead, from the Root Nexus in the Forgotten Field in Yaesha.
    • Shadeskin - Survive the Butcher’s Quarters encounter in Losomn.
    • Siphoner - Clear the Dormant N’Erudian Facility in N’Erud before the timer runs down.
    • Recovery - Return 2 Dran Children to the Dran Oracle in Morrow Parish (or Brocwithe Quarter) in Losomn, and you’ll be able to interact with the Dran Oracle, who will give you this Trait card.
  • Obtain 10 Traits

  • Acquire 20 traits

There are various different forms of Traits in Remnant 2. There are your core ones you start with, ones you get based on your class, secret Archetypes you can pick up, and of course, non-starter Traits (as in Not Your Average Trait (10G)).

Get 20 of these Traits, which you’ll get from heading off the beaten path and maxing out your character, and this achievement will unlock. Well, we say that, but it is tricky to work out which of the traits qualify for this achievement, but we finally have the solution.

Of the 32 Traits there are in the game:
    • a.) the starting traits don’t count (4);
    • b.) neither do the Archetype ones, of which there are 11 (including the secret ones, which I tested as I unlocked 2 secret classes (Explorer and Alchemist) when I was on 9/10 for All These Traits… (10G) and it didn’t unlock); and finally,
    • c.) the ones that do count definitely, are the 17 Traits, which you can pick up in the open-world (1 of which is bugged in co-op too) are all that remains.
However, the Archetypes do count if you fully max out that Archetype in terms of levels (excluding the starting classes), meaning you can still do this solo, but it's tight. Very tight.

Check out our Remnant 2 all Traits guide to grab as many as you can.
  • Acquire 50,000 Scrap

  • Acquire 100,000 Scrap

In order to get 100,000 Scrap, you basically just need to kill a lot… and we mean a lot. But the crux of this achievement is basically: kill enemies, pick up the scrap that they drop, rinse and repeat.

Of course, there’s other things you can do to hurry this along. For instance, there’ll come a point when you won’t need many of the resources you’ve collected, and depending on how much you search every nook and cranny, will depend on how many you can sell. By the time we moved onto the second tier of materials for weapon upgrades, we had an abundance of Iron. Same when we moved onto the other tiers of upgrade materials too, whether that was Forged Iron, Galvanized Iron or Hardened Iron. So, if you have a ton of excess materials, sell them. Same with everything else, really.

You’re also going to want to seek out the Scavenger’s Bauble amulet ASAP, which increases Scrap pick-ups by 50%. This can be found very early on in the Forbidden Grove in Yaesha. If you’ve already done Yaesha, reroll in Adventure mode until this is the first place they give you. Then, head into the level and as the level splits left and right, head right and the amulet is nearby.

And finally, some events, like the supply ship event in N’Erud (which we found in the Eon Vault area), if you find all the caches in the open-world, some of them can net you a decent amount of Scrap.

So, in short: kill, sell excess loot, and try and complete events like the supply ship event.
  • Acquire 15 Guns

  • Acquire 30 Guns

Throughout your time in Remnant 2 you’re going to come across a lot of guns - there are 45 in all. In order to get this achievement you’re going to have to get 30 - not including starting weapons.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of all the guns (and bows) in the game. You’re not going to get all, or anywhere near all of them in one playthrough, as a lot of them will require you reroll or use Adventure mode to see different variations and areas you’ve not seen before. Fear not though, we’ve broken them down below into the many game worlds, with each of the different quests and outcomes you need to see and perform.

Our advice is: play the game through as you would on your first run, as regardless of which options you pick, you’ll get an item you need for an achievement; and then after that, keep going through the game worlds and Adventure mode until you have all the weapons/relics, etc. from that area, and then move on.

For a complete list of all the guns and where they are, check out our Remnant 2 all weapons guide to know where to go, and what to look out for.
  • Acquire a World Boss's Alternate Reward

A few of the game’s World Bosses in Remnant 2 have what are known as ‘alternate rewards.’ Alternate rewards require you to perform a specific task in a boss fight in order to unlock it at the end.

For instance, the most obvious one is if you destroy the Nightweaver’s heart in both phases of the fight at the end of the Losomn world chapter. If you do, she’ll drop an alternate reward at the end - the Nightweaver’s Finger, which makes the Nightshade weapon.

The easiest one, however, is if you face off against Tal’Ratha in N’Erud. When you get to the fight you are offered two options: be eaten, or not be eaten. If you choose to be eaten you’ll unlock the Acidic Jawbone, which creates the Gas Giant.

Not only must you get the alternate reward, but you also need to visit McCabe and create said weapon using the alternate reward material. Do that and this is yours.
  • Acquire 10 Relics

Dotted around Remnant 2’s many game worlds are many variations are what Gunfire calls Relics. These Relics can give you a boost in health, in agility, and many, many more different things. They’re basically the equivalent of Dark Souls’ Estus Flasks, but with more chances to tweak it to your playstyle.

There are 18 in all, and while you don’t need them all to get the achievement (you only need 10), we’ve compiled a guide with them all in, so that you can get this regardless of what rolls you get in terms of game worlds and their relevant missions.

Some are harder than others, so try and focus on the simple ones first before you go after the more difficult ones, like the Unsullied Heart Relic, which requires two playthroughs of the same roll, but doing things slightly differently.

Check out our Remnant 2 Relic locations guide here. Happy hunting!
  • Craft a Non-Starter Weapon Mod

While not story-related, this one is pretty hard to miss. Throughout your adventure you’ll kill bosses galore, and bosses usually drop incredibly rare resources. These resources can then be taken back to Ava McCabe to create weapon mods.

For this achievement, all you need to do is take one of those materials back to Ava, and create a mod for a weapon that is not one of your starter weapons - so, something you’ve bought, found or created from a material you found in the game’s many worlds. Do that and you’ll get this achievement - and yes, you can create them for Ultimate Edition weapons for this achievement and they still count.
  • Crafty

    20

    Craft 15 Weapon Mods

Pretty self-explanatory, this one. All you need to do for this one is create 15 different weapon mods with Ava McCabe back at Ward 13. Now, while this might sound easy, weapon mods require extremely rare resources that generally bosses only drop or you get from special missions and what not. So, fight every boss you can. Defeat them. Take their special resources, and then head back to Ava. Do the same with side missions too, as they can reward weapon mod materials too. And if you happen to redo another quest or side quest you’ve already done, one with a choice to be made in it, make a different choice this time.

There are 60 in all, so even if you don’t do every variation and see multiple rolls, you should be able to snap this one up relatively easily. It’s not like the Relic or weapon achievements.
  • Upgrade Any Trait to 10

This is potentially missable, as there’s only a certain amount of Trait points available in the game (60). So, to make sure you don’t miss this, instead of spreading the wealth around in terms of Traits early on, just focus on one Trait tree. Once you hit level 10, you’re free to then spend your Trait points as you get them.

Although, that said, you can also visit Wallace to buy the expensive item to respec your character if you do screw it up, so technically not missable, but expensive if you forget. In terms of what to invest in, personally I found Expertise to be a great Trait to invest points into, although you can’t go wrong with Endurance and Vigor either.
  • Upgrade a Boss Weapon To +10

So, you’ve crafted one of the boss weapons and got Boss'n Up (20G) (the weapons of which I’ve included below), now all you need to do is level it up to level 10.

Levelling up a standard weapon is relatively easy (until level 20, that is) in Remnant 2, and boss weapons are no different. In fact, there’s less levels for boss weapons (they only go to 10), but each one is more expensive. To level one up to the max you’re going to need:
    • 30 x Iron
    • 35 x Forged Iron
    • 35 x Galvanized Iron
    • 35 x Hardened Iron
    • 1 Simulacrum
    • And a whopping 7,875 Scrap! Oof!
Some of the World Bosses and their weapons are:
    • Annihilation, who drops the Forgotten Memory in the Blackened Citadel, which makes Alpha/Omega gun.
Get one of those weapons, level it up to 10, get 2 achievements.
  • Upgrade a Boss Weapon To +5

  • Upgrade a Standard Weapon To +10

  • Upgrade a Standard Weapon +20

A ‘standard weapon’ in Remnant 2 is pretty much any weapon that isn’t crafted from a material that is dropped by a World Boss. The big difference between the two is that a boss weapon can only be levelled up to level 10, while a standard weapon can be upgraded to level 20.

There’s not too much to note for this here, aside from the fact that you’ll need the game’s 4 core materials to upgrade the majority of it i.e. Iron, Forged Iron, Galvanized Iron and Hardened Iron.

The general rule with those materials is that in your first game world you’ll only really come across Iron, with the odd Forged Iron as you level up and advance; and in the second world, you’ll only come across Forged Iron, with the odd Galvanized Iron, and so on.

So, progress through the game, be patient and you’ll come across enough to reach level 19 in no time. If you do get bored of searching nooks and crannies, after you’ve progressed enough, Cass will sell a selection of all 4 irons.
Yes, I did say 19. Because to go from level 19 to 20 you need a Simulacrum, which are obviously tricky to come across. So, reroll game worlds, get searching and also take down bosses until you have one.
If you haven’t already bought the one from Cass yet, do that.

Get a standard weapon up to level 20, and this achievement will unlock.
  • Upgrade Relic Capacity

After the tutorial, after you’ve spent some time in the game, simply visit Wallace again when you have the following materials and you’ll be able to upgrade your Relic Charges, which unlocks this achievement:
    • 1 x Simulacrum
    • 10 Lumenite Crystals
    • 1,000 Scrap
If you’re struggling for a Simulacrum, which is dropped by notable bosses and found in well-hidden places across the game worlds, head to Cass in Ward 13 and she’ll sell you one for 1,500 Scrap.

Once you’ve got those materials and have paid a visit to Wallace (on the docks at Ward 13) to upgrade your Relic, this achievement is all yours.

After you’ve made your way to the top of the Morrow Sanatarium in Morrow Parrish (after using the 3rd floor key), there’ll be an elven rune resembling a door on the wall. Go through it to Nimue’s Retreat in Losomn. Follow the path to the bottom to meet Nimue and get this achievement.
  • Meet the Flautist

In Yaesha, at the far end of The Withering Weald, is the door that leads to the Twisted Chantry. Outside the door to the Twisted Chantry is the Pan Flautist - you’ll hear his song as you approach. Speak to the Pan Flautist and you’ll unlock this achievement.
  • Receive an Alignment Reading from Meidra

In various instances of Yaesha, you’ll come across a character called Meidra, a Pan demigod who exists in The Far Woods or the Forbidden Growth - she’ll appear on the map as a blue icon if you get close enough to her.

If you speak to Meidra she will assess your character, asking you a number of questions and will give you an alignment reading. Now, we’re not actually sure the responses matter here, as you’re still getting an alignment reading either way, so say whatever you want.

All the responses do is dictate what reward you get. Those rewards being:
    • Barkskin Trait - Do her alignment reading and give compassionate answers and you’ll get this.
    • Bloodstream Trait - Whereas on the flip side, if you answer selfishly, you’ll unlock this Trait card.

In short: get an alignment reading, get the achievement.
  • Meet the Custodian

You’ll find the Custodian in the Abyssal Rift in N’Erud (amongst other places, depending on your roll). The Custodian is a Drzyr, who needs your assistance to save what’s left of their race.

You’ll find the Custodian in a large structure called the Ascension Spire (there is a checkpoint nearby usually).  All you need to do to get this achievement is just simply walk up to him and meet him. It doesn’t matter if you do what he asks, or if you refuse, you just need to meet him to unlock this one.
  • Listen to All of Mudtooth's Stories

As you walk into Ward 13 (after completing the tutorial), there’ll be two people on the right (they’ll show on the mini-map as blue icons). One of them is Reginald “Reggie” Malone and the other is Mudtooth (the one with the porkpie hat and the white beard).

Simply speak to him and keep chatting to him. If you speak to him long enough you’ll be able to ask “Can you tell me a story?” There are an absolute ton of stories you’ll need to listen to from Mudtooth, throughout your time in Remnant 2 - with certain in-game events prompting him to remember more. As soon as you get the aforementioned prompt, speak to Mudtooth to hear the following stories:
    • The first story is about old world items (and he’ll talk a lot about a can, which is where he got his name… or at least one of the stories about his name), which you can ask the first time you meet him after the tutorial.
    • You can ask him the story about Brabus too (ask him about the town, then Brabus) - not sure if this counts, but it has the word story in the dialogue, so do it just in case.
    • The next story is about Wally.
    • The next story is about his separation from Crazy 8.
    • The next story is about Ward 10 and 7 (you’ll need to wake him up mid story).
    • The next story is about his stew, and how it came to be.
After you’ve been through the crystal for the first time and returned to Ward 13 - whether naturally from the story, or if you head back to resupply - go and speak to Mudtooth for 5 new stories.
    • Speak to Mudtooth after going into the crystal for the first time. He’ll talk about Swan Creek.
    • His next story is about a Root dragon.
    • His next story is about a trip to an old hospital with the Crazy 8.
    • His next story is about Bo.
    • His next story is about the old Ward where the Root was born (Ward Gooseegg).
After defeating your first World Boss, head back to Mudtooth and he’ll have more stories.
    • His first story will be about Brabus.
    • The second story is about the fall of the world.
    • The third story is about the Wanderer.
    • The fourth story is about an old man that lives at the centre of a maze.
    • The fifth story is about how his son left him to die.
    • The sixth story is about Clementine.
    • Speak to him again and he’ll tell you another story about the other wards, but only after he’s given you the Gunslinger Ring.
    • The next story is about a tower.
    • The next story is about Ford.
    • The next story is about Sanctuary.
    • The next story is about the Shrouded King.
    • The next story is about the Moth Queen.
    • The next story is about how Mudtooth killed 300 deadwood in one go.
    • The next story is about the world before the deadwood.
After defeating your second World Boss, head back to Mudtooth once again and he’ll say he’s out of stories. At this point you’ll receive the Gunslinger Amulet (and if you’re not a Gunslinger class, you’ll also receive the Worn Cylinder).

Congrats, you’ve listened to all of Mudtooth’s stories! Achievement unlocked!

    Defeat the Ravager

The Ravager is one of two potential World Bosses in Yaesha in Remnant 2 - with the other being the Corruptor. If you start in the Forbidden Grove you’re on track to face off against the Ravager. If that’s the case, continue the story until you fight him. He’s not a missable boss if you got this roll, so just plug away until you face off against it.
  • Defeat the Nightweaver

The Nightweaver is one of 3 potential World Bosses in Losomn - with the other two being part of the One True King storyline (Faelin and Faerin). The Nightweaver storyline will take you through Morrow Parish and into the Morrow Sanatorium. If you don’t come across those locations, you’re not destined to face her so will have to reroll in Adventure mode.

If you are on the right path to fight her, just keep making your way forwards to the Morrow Sanatorium and into the Tormented Asylum where she waits. Just beware though, she’s one of the few multi-staged boss fights in the game, so don’t use all your Relic charges during phase 1. She’s also pretty tricky too, so just take your time and make sure you’re not underleveled and you’ll get past her.

The Nightweaver boss is one of the trickiest fights in the whole game, so we've prepared a Remnant 2 Nightweaver boss fight guide to offer more assistance. This guide will help with what you should do on what Nightweaver attack, as well as some of the cues to look out for.
  • Defeat the Final Boss

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

This is one of the few achievements in Remnant 2 that is actually unmissable. You’ll basically work your way through one world, then head to the Labyrinth, then do the final two worlds, before heading to Root Earth where the final boss is.

Defeat the final boss and this achievement is all yours.
  • Defeat 10 Aberrations

  • Defeat 25 Aberrations

Aberrations in Remnant 2 are effectively elite version enemies that have modifiers and such to make them tougher to beat. You’ll know when you come across an Aberration in the game as not only will they have a red glowing hue around them, but they’ll also have a boss-like health bar at the top of the screen as well.

Aberrations are hugely important too, as you’ll need to kill a ton of them (13) to get enough Corrupted Lumenite Crystals to finish off the Transmutate (10G) achievement. Good job you need to kill 25 of them for this achievement then!

The truth is though, that you won’t encounter these on one playthrough, and you’ll likely have to replay Adventure mode a few times to flush them out. First things first, though, yes, if you kill the same one twice it counts twice.

For a list of all the Aberrations and where to find them, check out our Remnant 2 Aberrations locations guide.
  • Defeat the Labyrinth Boss

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

After completing your first world, you’ll end up in the Labyrinth. At the end of said Labyrinth is the Labyrinth Sentinel, a boss fight that has you dodging rolling cubes and projectiles, all while shooting the light points on said rolling rocks. The best thing you need to know for this one is, once you’ve shot a light on the rolling cubes, it’ll leave an indent in said cube that you can stand under when it comes your way.- making the fight 100 times easier.

The key to this boss fight is simple: Work out the routes, take out most of the lights you can see in the area you start in (that 2 x 2 block) and then once you can’t see anymore, head right over the gap and take out the rest. As soon as you know the patterns, this one is a cakewalk. Just watch out for those projectiles.
  • Defeat Tal'Ratha

There are two potential bosses in N’Erud: the Guardian of N’Erud, Sha’Hala; and Tal’Ratha. If you don’t start at Seeker’s Rest, and you start in the Forgotten Prison, you’re on track to face off against Tal’Ratha at the end of this act.

Simply follow the quest and you’ll eventually end up in Tal’Ratha’s Refuge with the necessary quest item, and you’ll be given two options: be eaten, or not be eaten. The choice doesn’t matter here, you’ll fight off against Tal’Ratha either way. It does, however, change the boss’ form and the rewards. That’s about it though. We’d suggest being eaten, so you can also get the Was This Supposed To Happen? (20G).
  • Defeat Guardian of N'Erud

If you start at Seeker’s Rest with the big ass statue in N’Erud, then you’ve got the Guardian of N’Erud storyline roll, which will take you to fight off against Sha’Hala. If you’ve already got Madman's Paradise (30G) and want this, but are starting in the prison, then reroll in Adventure Mode (once you’ve completed the world) until you get this starting point.

Then, you simply need to find 3 Seeker Keys dotted around N’Erud and then head to face off with the Guardian of N’Erud. Simply defeat Sha’Hala and this achievement is all yours.
  • Defeat Many Faces

The Many Faces boss is one of 2 potential final boss fights in Yaesha. This roll usually starts at the Red Throne, and will set you up on a quest to take down the Many Faces boss.

To get to the boss fight, just head through The Far Woods into The Twisted Chantry into the Widow’s Court, and finally, up to The Great Bole, where Many Faces will be. Otherwise known as the Corruptor.

Not the hardest of boss fights, this one. Just shoot for the arms of the protector robot when they come at you, then evade him when he charges. Then, once you’ve done that, turn around and shoot the giant robot’s head. This will cause the Corruptor, who is the actual boss, to come and heal it. When it does, shoot into its now fully open base to deal some serious damage. Rinse and repeat this method, and you’ll make easy work of this one.
  • Defeat the Root Mantis

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

You’ll encounter the Root Mantis at the end of the tutorial, before you reach Ward 13. Simply stay and fight it at range, and dodge the spit attack to the side when he tries to attack from range too. Do that and you’ll defeat it with ease.
  • Defeat the Fae Imposter

The Fae Imposter here refers to one of Losomn’s potential World Bosses - the other being the Nightweaver. This one is part of the One True King storyline, meaning you’ll fight off against Faelin - the actual true imposter who overthrew the king. Although that said, Faerin - the other pretender - probably counts for the achievement as well.

Just to be safe, go after Faelin, as he is actually the imposter. Faelin can be found at the end of the act at the Beatific Gallery, just make your way there and put an end to his reign to unlock this achievement.
  • Discover a Blood Moon Room

The ‘Red Room’ achievement requires a bit of luck on 2 fronts. Firstly, you need to find an area with a Blood Moon Room, which depends on what world is created for you; and secondly, you need to spawn into that area when there is a Blood Moon present - this is when the moon is big and bright red, and not the usual white. And let me tell you, these are pretty rare.

First things first, Blood Moon Rooms, that only open when there’s a Blood Moon, can be found by looking for mysterious red panels on the floor as you trek through the jungle. And secondly, and more importantly, you’re going to want to find yourself in Yaesha, where the Blood Moon occurs, and only when there is a Blood Moon. If there is no Blood Moon, fast-travel away and then fast-travel back.

We’ve found Blood Moon Rooms in the following locations thus far:
    • There’s one in the Imperial Gardens (generally a Ravager roll level), near the beginning of the level. Just head straight ahead into the first stone structure, and take the first left after the first lantern. Go left again, and you’ll see the Blood Moon Room in front of the statue. Take the ladder down.
    • There’s another one in the Cathedral of Omen. Solve the puzzle to open the right small cubby hole room and you’ll get access to where the Blood Moon Room is - just look for the Blood Moon panel on the floor.
Simply entering the room will unlock the achievement, so not too hard… when you finally got the Blood Moon to occur, that is!
  • Discover Leto's Stash

In order to get Leto’s Stash in Remnant 2, you’re going to need to have completed 1 game world and finished the Labyrinth, which rewards you with the Biome Portal Key. Once you have that, you’ll be able to open a portal that actually leads to the small area on the far side of Ward 13.

Once you’ve got the Biome Portal Key, head to the Engulfed Gauntlet world stone checkpoint and head to the right towards the portal. Then, when you come out of that portal, actually turn around and go around the back of it. If you look down you’ll see another portal. Jump into it.

In the next area, follow the route around until you’re in a large room. If you look to the wall on the left (of you going through the door), you’ll notice that the rocks stick out a bit all the way up the wall. You can actually climb them to around the midpoint.

Climb up them, while using the run and jump mechanic to jump across large gaps. After climbing a few blocks you should see a hole to crouch walk through. Do that, and when you come out the other side, look across to the right and jump over the gap to another ledge (slightly right). Crawl again and follow the path until the end, where you’ll find a portal.

Use the Biome Portal Key, go through the portal back to Ward 13. Once you’re there, head to the container on the far wall and go inside it. Inside you’ll find a chest, which has Leto’s Stash inside.

    His stash includes:
    • Leto Mark II Helmet (armour 22, weight 13)
    • Leto Mark II Armor (armour 83, weight 44)
    • Leto Mark II Leggings (armour 46, weight 23)
    • Leto Mark II Gloves (armour 17, weight 10)
The Chicago Typewriter gun is also in that area. Pick up the armour stash and this achievement will unlock.

If you're after more of a step-by-step guide on where to go and how to unlock and where Remnant 2's Leto stash location is, then we've prepared a separate guide to assist you.
  • Obtain a Secret Archetype

Throughout Remnant 2 you'll find a number of Archetypes. However, there are a handful that the game has designated as "secret."

These aren't the ones that you get from vendors, oh no, you'll have to go out of your way to find these. Once you've got one of the items below, pay Wallace a visit and use the item to create an Archetype Engram, and unlock this achievement.

There are 5 in all. Here's what they are and where to find them:
    • Broken Compass - Explorer - This is the easiest, by far, and you get for defeating the last boss of the campaign.
    • Mysterious Stone - Alchemist - Defeat the Manticora (the werewolf-like beast) in Losomn (either Ironborough or Morrow Parish - it’ll pull you through a sewer grate in the wall to The Segments area) and it’ll reward you with the Mysterious Stone.
    • Faded Grimoire - Summoner - Can be bought from the Blood Moon Altar in The Far Woods in Yaesha, which you get access to after defeating the Mother Mind in The Nameless Nest. Needs Blood Moon Essence to purchase it.
    • Alien Device - Engineer - You’ll find this item near the Titan’s Reach world stone checkpoint in N’Erud, in the toxic area nearby (this can either be The Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon). You’ll see it on the map as a blue icon. Use Purified Salve to make your way into the toxic area to grab this item.
    • Wooden Shiv - Invader - Trickiest of the lot, this one: Once on Root Earth, near the Corrupted Harbor is a small arena (through a door where you previously had to do a survival event). Use the Dreamcatcher on the large corpse in the middle of the arena (which you get by finding all 3 statues in the Morrow Sanatorium in Morrow Parish in Yaesha) and you’ll receive Walker's Dream.
  • Obtain an Item From the Nightweaver's Web

In the Morrow Sanitarium in Morrow Parish, which is part of the Nightweaver storyline in Losomn, you'll eventually end up in The Tormented Asylum. Downstairs in the dungeons, near where the locked up head sister was, you'll find a mysterious web. This is the Nightweaver's Web.

Now, there are various things you can put in the web to get an item, but the most straightforward is getting the Nightweaver Stone Doll from the Morrow Sanitorium and using that to put into the web.

Before you do that though, grab the 3 statues around the Sanitarium (because if you don’t, and don’t get the safe code for the office safe, you’ll miss the chance to get it the correct way).

The 3 statues can be found as follows:
    • The first one is in the courtyard out front, where you fight the Ripsaw Aberration.
    • The second one is on the ground floor. If you come through the main double door entrance, go right and right again. It’s in that room.
    • The third one is in the far corner of the attic room, the same floor that you go through the Elven rune door to Nimue’s Retreat - it’s literally the large room next to that door.

The key item to get the Nightweaver Stone Doll is the Prison Cell Key, which is on the front balcony, on the top floor. It’s in the attic room with a large hole in the centre of the floor. The window is open there that leads to said balcony.

Once you have all three statues and the key, give them to the sister locked in the cell (you get the passcode for the safe from her then), and finally, open the door with the key, and grab the Nightweaver Stone Doll.

All that needs to be done then, if you haven’t already, is to head to the web in the basement nearby and put the Soulkey Tribute you got from following the main path (for us, that was at the end of the Shattered Gallery) and you’ll be in The Tormented Asylum.

From there there’s a cell with the Nightweaver Web (as we explained previously) in it. Put in the Nightweaver Stone Doll and you’ll receive not only the Dreamcatcher melee weapon, but also this nice shiny achievement!

If you want to know what other items you can insert into the Nightweaver's Web and what you receive, check out our Remnant 2 Dreamcatcher location guide, which also goes into detail about not just the Dreamcatcher (and where to find the statues), but also al the other items you can get from the Nightweaver's Web.
  • Craft an Item at the Blood Moon Altar

You’ll find the Blood Moon Altar in The Far Woods in Yaesha, after defeating the Mother Mind in The Nameless Nest. As you reenter The Far Woods, you’ll have access to a previously locked off area, and straight ahead of you you’ll find the Blood Moon Altar.

Here, you can craft a number of items, whether it’s armour, an amulet, a ring, a new melee weapon and a special concoction. You’ll also be able to buy a rare material, the Faded Grimoire, from it, although it’s more expensive than the rest - this unlocks the material to create the Summoner Archetype, that’s why.

The Blood Moon Altar will take some serious rare materials to purchase these goods:
    • Lumenite Crystals - Picked up from killing special enemies (mid-boss style enemies).
    • Blood Moon Essence - Which you get from shooting the purple orbs flying around the sky in the Far Woods and nearby regions during a Blood Moon.
    • Scrap - The game’s currency.
Craft one item - the concoction is the cheapest, but you may as well purchase the Blade of Gul melee weapon (for 10 Blood Moons Essence and some Scrap), so it counts towards Edgelord (10G) and Cutting Edge (20G) - and this achievement will pop.
  • Play a Secret Song on the Water Harp

You’ll use the Water Harp in The Forbidden Grove in Yaesha, when going after the Ravager. You’ll initially use it to raise the bridge. You’ll use the code: 5, 0, 4, 0, 3, 4, 1, 0.

However, there is also a secret song you can play too (after you’ve beaten the Ravager), that will unlock a cool weapon - and also get you this achievement.

In order to play this secret song, put in the code: 1, 4, 0, 2, 5, 0, 3, 0. If you get it correct, it’ll play a song, you’ll get an achievement, and a plinth with the Bolt Driver gun will rise out the ground just behind you. Lovely stuff!
  • Acquire the Max Number of Trait Points

You’ll need to acquire 60 Trait Points and allocate them for this achievement to unlock. You can easily keep track of what you have in your Traits tab of your main menu. At the top it will say “52 Total Trait Points.” This refers to the points you have earned (the white dots) and not those that are tied to Archetypes and what not (orange dots).

You’ll get this just for playing and replaying sections to defeat World Bosses in instances that you’ve not yet experienced and so on, because you’ll not only get Trait Points for collecting Tomes of Knowledge dotted around the world, but for defeating bosses and completing events and side quests as well. Don’t stress this one, because if you’re going for the lot, you’ll get this one comfortably.
  • Upgrade Any Weapon Mutator To +10

Weapon mutators can be upgraded if you visit Dwell, the Relic Fragment Merchant in Ward 13. However, in order to upgrade a Mutator, you’re going to need to get your hands on a lot of Corrupted Lumenite Crystals.

That’s the big question then: where do you get Corrupted Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2? Well, that’s where the hard part comes in. Corrupted Lumentite Crystals are dropped by the game’s Aberrations. Aberrations are effectively glowing red, boss-like enemies that are inherently tougher versions of the game’s normal enemies.

    You’ll need 2 x 1 for levels 1-2; 3 x 2 for levels 3-5; 4 x 3 for levels 6-9 and then 5 for level 10, meaning you’ll need a total of 25 Corrupted Lumenite Crystals to fully max out a Mutator.

You’ll encounter Aberrations all over Remnant 2, and each one usually drops 2 Corrupted Lumenite Crystals - so that’s 13 Aberrations you need to kill then to get enough to fully upgrade a Mutator.

For more assistance on where to find Aberrations, see Ghost in the Machine (40G) and more specifically, our Remnant 2 Aberrations locations guide.
