Introduction:
Lords of the Fallen is a Soulslike from developer Hexworks. It’s a kind of reboot of the 2014 Lords of the Fallen, and it has stiff competition this year in the Soulslike stakes, from Lies of P. It’s a challenging game, of course, and it’s also a long one. If you want to unlock all the achievements, then it is going to take you over the 80-hour mark, as it requires three playthroughs. You have to play through the game once, and then go into New Game+ with the same character the second two times.

Each of the endings has particular items tied to them, and they also each unlock a secret class. This is why you need more than one playthrough to get every item and spell and piece of gear. Plus, a lot of that actually depends on random drops, which will prolong you quite a way. Let’s jump in!

Duplication Exploit
Now, the first thing to note is: there is a duplication exploit that you can use. It’s sneaky and underhanded, but that’s sort of why it’s brilliant. It will make getting the completion that much easier and quicker, so here is what it is. A co-op player can drop Vigor Skulls – these are the items that you can use to unleash little pockets of Vigor, good for levelling up your character. You can use a cloud save to duplicate these Vigor Skulls. As the person dropping Vigor Skulls, once you have amassed them, close the game app to force a cloud save backup to occur. Launch the game, load your save, join a co-op session, and drop these to a co-op partner, but here's the important part: DO NOT close the game. With the game still running after having dropped all Vigor Skulls, press the Guide button on the controller, highlight the game and press button-menu.png, and go to Manage Games and Add-ons. From there, choose the save data at the bottom, press button-menu.png on it, choose to Delete Save Data. When prompted, ensure you Delete Local Save only! You want to keep your cloud save intact. Deleting your local save in this manner will automatically close the game app. Now, when you relaunch the game, it'll sync with your cloud save, giving you back the Vigor Skulls you had before you dropped them. Do this again and again, and you can level up in bonkers fashion. Note: This is fine for Vigor but won't work for things like armour, weapons, spells, quest items, etc. It just works for currency.

Remember that in order to receive the full 1000gs.png for Lords of the Fallen you need three playthroughs, and you need to do all of those playthroughs with the same character, going over into a New Game+.

Step 1: Go for the Adyr Ending and get as many collectibles and quests as possible
Focus on the Adyr Ending in your first run. Check out the Adyr ending guide listed in Lord of the Risen (15G)
This is the evil ending, and it means that you don't cleanse the beacons in the main quest. These are the red pillars of light that shoot up into the sky. Leave them be!

Step 2: Go for the Radiant Ending and the Kukajin Quest
The second playthrough, in New Game+, you want to go for the Radiant ending, which is where you cleanse all of the beacons. It's the "good ending" really, and it's probably the one that most people would instinctively go for. See Fallen (15G) for more details, but basically you want to complete the Kukajin quest in this run, as the previous Adyr ending run makes that impossible. See A Trace of Venom (10G) for specific detail on how to complete this quest.

Step 3: Go for the Umbral Ending, complete the Iron Wayfarer and Paladin Isaac quests, defeat all bosses
The Umbral Ending is a very sneaky one, indeed, and the hardest of the endings to obtain. Check out Back to the Void (15G) for a complete rundown of every criteria that has to be fulfilled to get this one. And you also want to make sure that you complete the Paladin Isaac quest in this playthrough. See Vengeful Reflection (10G) for how to do the Paladin Isaac quest.

Conclusion:
As is expected with any Soulslike game, Lords of the Fallen offers up a decent challenge for all players alike. However, the sheer time to complete is significantly more than many other games in the genre, thanks to needing three playthroughs and tons of random drops to collect all gear in the game. Be prepared to put your time in, and hopefully you can find a good co-op partner for the online achievements. If you made it through the three playthroughs and the grind, congrats on a well earned completion!

So you need to avenge at least four players, and will receive 12 of them. Once you have the right number, get to Skyrest Bridge, and go to the Shrine of the Putrid Mother, while you're in Umbral. There you can donate 10 Plucked Eyeballs, and this achievement will unlock.

Choose the armour to which you want to apply the Tinct and press button-a.png. Your armour is now a new colour, and this achievement will unlock.
  • Defeat an enemy with an Umbral finisher.

To unlock this achievement, you need to Soulflay an enemy. Check out our guide on how to do that in detail. Essentially, you press dpad-down.png to select the Umbral Lamp, you target an enemy (analog-right.png), you hold lt.png to aim, and you press rt.png to Soulflay them. What you need to do then is damage the enemy's disembodied soul until you see a red dot appear. This is an Umbral finisher. Press rb.png to trigger the finisher, and this achievement will unlock.
  • Use a Vestige Seed.

This achievement is a quick one. You can use Vestige Seeds to raise Vestiges in certain areas out in the world. You will often find them near the entrance to boss lairs, for example. Whenever you see a patch of white flowers on the ground, and your Umbral Lamp will begin to glow. To plant one, press dpad-down.png to select the Umbral Lamp, then hold lt.png and press button-y.png. When the Vestige is raised, this achievement will unlock.

Check out our Lords of the Fallen Where do you buy seeds? guide.
  • Reach Level 100.

This is one for the long haul – or is it? You level up by earning Vigor and taking it to a Vestige, and you earn Vigor by defeating enemies and by finding Vigor Skulls. (These are stored handily in your inventory; crack them open, and the Vigor inside is yours.) You can, however, speed up your route to unlocking this achievement by using the Duplication Exploit outlined in the Roadmap above. You need to find a co-op partner, one or both of you needs to have amassed some Vigor Skulls, and then you can use that exploit to duplicate them, allowing you to level up very fast and early in the game too.
  • Earn all achievements.

Once you’ve patiently worked your way through this colossal list, you will be duly rewarded with this extra achievement – kind of like a Platinum, but Xbox-style.
  • Offer Molhu the Bowl of Revelations.

Once you have found Molhu – check out our guide on where he is – you then need to give him the Bowl of Revelations, which can be found in Pilgrim’s Perch. Check out our Lords of the Fallen Where to go in Pilgrim’s Perch for a more detailed description of navigating this area. You will likely have picked this item up already, if you have made it through Pilgrim’s Perch. Starting at the Vestige Point Belltower, follow the path to the left of the lift, while you are in Umbral, and you will find an Umbral Belly to Soulflay, containing the Bowl.

Once you have it, head back to Skyrest Bridge and talk to Molhu; you will have the option to hand over the Bowl of Revelations. Do it, and this achievement will unlock.
  • View all Umbral stigmas.

    **MISSABLE**

Umbral Stigmas are those ghostly echoes that you find about the environment. You Soulflay them (lt.png + button-x.png), and you get a little flashback of events that led up to the sorry state of affairs in Lords of the Fallen. There are 60 of these Umbral Stigmas in total, and you will spot them as shimmers of light. Once you have found and Soulfayed all 60, over the course of the adventure, this achievement will unlock.
  • Reach the Skyrest Bridge interior.

You will unlock this achievement early on in the story, after you have beaten Pieta, and it will become your main hub. Once you are there, it is also worth finding the Skyrest Bridge key, so that you can open the place up and explore its secret areas.
