Introduction:
Here comes Capcom’s newest challenger! Street Fighter 6 launches worldwide on June 2nd, 2023 and represents the next evolution of the series. Powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE, the Street Fighter 6 experience spans across three distinct game modes featuring World Tour, Fighting Ground and Battle Hub.

World Tour:
There are three distinct game modes in SF6, and the first one I would suggest starting with is the only reason this game was on my radar at all. As an RPG afficianado and someone who hasn't played a fighting game since Soul Calibur 4 in 2008, I was surprised when this starting getting some buzz in the RPG community. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the World Tour mode is basically Yakuza: Like a Dragon except the battles are your classic Street Fighter bouts. The rest of it - the leveling, gear, even the feel of the quests, enemies, and city - they are all fully-fledged wacky JRPG.

Unfortunately, this mode is just a 200 Gamerscore add-on to the base 1000 Gamerscore list (though included with the purchase of the base game), so you'll actually be spending the most time here for the least reward. You need to complete the World Tour story (red icons on the map are main quests), at least 22 side-quests (blue icons), and then max out a bond with one of the master trainers. It's all very straight-forward, just a bit time-consuming. Most fights can be won by spamming assisted combos or ranged special moves. This step will take 15-20 hours.

Fighting Ground:
This mode is where you'll learn to actually play the game properly, which will be sorely needed for the last mode. You will need to complete arcade mode once, do a few tutorials and training modes, and complete at least 45 trials (you can just do the easiest three trials for each character). You also need to play 100 online matches through the fighting ground, though you don't need to win any of them. This will be great practice for the tournament matches you need to win in the next step though. Find a character you're comfortable with while you do the 100 matches and learn some of their moves and combos.

Battle Hub:
This mode is the basic online matchmaking for the game. It is set up like a nightclub/arcade for display purposes, but essentially this is where you'll choose to play online matches, tournaments, avatar battles, and interact with other players to make friends, give likes, etc. It's all very straightforward and you can boost some of it with friends. If you do it all legit, it could take up to 20 hours, much less if you can boost any of it.

The biggest annoyance of this piece by far is the tournaments. They only run 2-3 times per week, and it's not that easy to set up boosting sessions for them, and even if you do get only two people entered into a specific tournament, that only leaves two wins for one person and one win for the other, so it will take multiple tournaments to get the ten wins required for the achievement. See the achievement description below for more info.

Conclusion:
Well, I certainly didn't expect to ever write a Street Fighter guide, but here we are. I don't think I've played this franchise since Street Fighter Alpha 2 on SNES, but the new RPG World Tour mode drew me in and I'm pretty thankful it did. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy that mode, the rest of the modes were enjoyable as well. The franchise has certainly come a long way since the 90's! If you're not a fan of the fighting genre at all, this certainly won't be for you, but if you're even mildly okay with that AND an RPG fan, I'd highly suggest at least giving World Tour mode a shot. For a completionist, there's a bunch more of pure fighting stuff to get through, but it's not that bad.

There are 43 achievements with a total of 1400 points

  • Where's your face, dingus? Get your butt to the avatar creator and sort yourself out!

You will create your avatar upon starting World Tour or Battle Hub modes. Pick any settings you like and confirm for your first achievement of the game.
  • Welcome to the Battle Hub. Do enjoy yourself. That is the purpose for which it was built, after all.

This will unlock the first time you enter the Battle Hub section from the main menu.
  • Start with a match in the Battle Hub. Taking that first step is what matters the most.

  • Done 30 matches in the Battle Hub? Keep at it! Nobody ever got sumo strong being shy of the ring!

  • Getting used to this? Then try winning 30 Battle Hub matches. Gotta give yourself a challenge.

Well, if you're really good at this game you might unlock this at the same time as There's Always Time for Training! (40G) but likely you'll need to play a few more - win 30 total matches in the Battle Hub for this achievement by sitting down at one of the two-sided arcade machines and waiting for someone to challenge you, or find a machine with someone already sitting at it and challenge them. If you can find a friend to boost with, you can have them stand still and keep challenging each other in an empty server to get this done extremely quickly.
  • Ever hear of Extreme Battles? They're more WILD than regular fights. Let your instincts take over!

See Over the Top Victory (90G) for more info.
  • If you can't adapt, you won't survive. Fight 20 Extreme Battles. It'll sharpen your judgement.

See Over the Top Victory (90G) for more info.
  • 20 wins in Extreme Battle. Should be a snap for you! Stomp this flat, then aim even higher! Bwahaha!

Extreme Battles are matches with unique settings that can be played in the Battle Hub or Fighting Ground. The easiest way to get your 20 wins is to start this in the Fighting Ground and set a match against a CPU Level 1 opponent with something simple such as "Down & Out" as the win condition. Use a basic sweep attack or throw to knock them down five times, and once you win choose to do a rematch with the same conditions. Repeat a total of 20 times for all the Extreme Battle achievements.
  • In Avatar Battles, you can battle others as an avatar; a self outside of your self. Try it out!

See The Struggle Over Self (90G) for more info.
  • Nothing gets my engine revving like a brawl between avatars! Let's see you do 20 Avatar Battles!

See The Struggle Over Self (90G) for more info.
  • A new form of combat, with a different path to victory. Win 20 Avatar Battles. Fight and grow.

Avatar Battles are begun in the middle of the dance floor in the Battle Hub. You can press button-b.png to ready up and wait for someone to challenge you, or if you see another avatar you can approach and challenge them instead. These fights use your character from World Tour mode, which is another reason I suggest doing that first in the Road Map. If you have fully completed the story in World Tour, you'll have a high-level character and can keep challening lower level characters here so you can easily beat them (the only caveat being they have to accept the challenge). It is unlikely you'll get a rematch with them though, so keep trying for new opponents. If you have a friend you can boost this with it will go much quicker.
  • You wanna match the one-and-only Jamie Siu? You'd better get up early. Give a Tournament a shot!

See Steely Determination (40G) for more info.
  • The will to stand in the ring turns mind and muscle into steel! Enter five Tournaments! You'll see!

For the tournament entries to count, you must not only enter but actually complete a match. If for some reason you get disconnected or fail to get to the proper server by the start of the tournament you'll forfeit and miss out on that one. For more information on when tournaments are and how to enter them, see Dominating Like a Ninja (100G).
  • Even ninjas can't shortcut training. Win 10 matches in a Tournament. Not easy, but you can do it.

For this achievement you only need to win 10 Tournament FIGHTS, not ten full tournaments. So you can keep trying to work toward this over time. A match win is counted toward this achievement if you win two rounds and get a point scored in a best of three tournament round.

Tournaments will generally run three times per day when they happen, which is not every day. You can check the full schedule HERE. Every round of the tournament is best of three matches, so if you get an easy opponent you can grab two wins from them. The tournaments are set either by rank, or "open" which means you could get matches with a veteran/high-ranked player and you're likely going to lose those. Most people are nice and if you ask in chat prior to the start of the tournament, they'll agree to trade wins in the first two matches and then fight for real in the third to move on to the next round.

You can try to boost this achievement by joining the same tournament as a friend and hope you get matched against each other. You can also try to join a tournament from a different server if the timing would help. For instance, if you join the first tournament of the day, join North America (will be 5am on the west coast, 8am on the east coast) and if you join the last tournament of the day, join Asia (will be the middle of the night over there) - this will give you the best chance to be in a tournament with less players.

Tournament sign-ups go live one hour before the scheduled time, be sure to register so you can participate, and get to the correct server at the start time that matches the tournament you signed up for!

Note: You must win 20 matches at the two-sided cabinets first before you can enter a regular tournament (A). The open tournament (B) does not require anything. Also note for the "Grand Prix" tournament type you can only enter once for the entire thing, even if it goes across multiple days. For any other tournament you should be able to join each individual session.

Note 2: It would be nice if you win your first match of the best of three, stand still and purposely lose the second to give your opponent a free win. Then obviously try legit for the third match so you can get two wins if possible and move on to the next round. However, this does run the risk of losing the third match and getting knocked out of the tournament, removing the chance of more wins in the next round. So trying to be nice is great but could run the risk of making this take longer with random opponents!
  • Kung fu is ceaseless training. Fight in the Battle Hub 100 times, and you will see results.

This counts any battle (normal cabinets, extreme cabinets, avatar battles, and tournaments), so you'll get this along the way to all the other achievements.
  • You know they've got classic games at the Game Center? They might be old, but they still slap.

Play any of the arcade cabinets in the Battle Hub for this achievement.
  • Tried the Game Center's Ranking Challenge? Give it a shot! Always challenge yourself, even in games.

Play any of the arcade cabinets in the Battle Hub while choosing "High Score Challenge" for this achievement.
  • Audiences turn mere fights into thrilling spectacles. Spectate a Battle Hub Match and witness glory.

You'll have to wait until one of the two-sided cabinets in the Battle Hub has two people challening each other, then you can approach them and press button-a.png to spectate them for this achievement.
  • In combat, you must constantly analyze the situation. Spectate an Extreme Battle, and watch closely.

Same as the Entranced by Battle (10G) achievement, except it specifically needs to be an Extreme Battle cabinet that you spectate. These machines are not popular with regular players of the game, so you may need to boost this with two other people. Check any time you get to the Battle Hub just in case though, and then boost it after getting all the other achievements as a last resort.
  • There's nothing quite like a fight, one-on-one, in the flesh! Go spectate an Avatar Battle!

This is similar to spectating the arcade cabinets, except you'll need to find two people fighting each other on the dance floor and spectate that instead. This is extremely common.
  • Battle Hub Clubs are kinda like sumo stables! You should join one! I hope they have chanko stew...

Press button-page.png while in the Battle Hub and then choose "CFN > Clubs" to either join an open club or create your own to unlock this achievement.
  • Hrrah! To fight before a roaring crowd is a wrestler's honor! Try earning a "Nice" fan of your own!

See Spirits of Encouragement (90G) for more info.
  • Uwo! My dream's to get famous! I bet if I gather 200 "Nice" fans, Mama'll be proud! You try, too!

See Spirits of Encouragement (90G) for more info.
  • Fans are like spirits; you feel stronger if you have them. Get 600 "Nice" fans. You'll feel it too.

This is another achievement that is worded very poorly. What you need to do for this is actually get a total of 600 likes on your personal profile. This number increases with every like you receive, but also for every like you GIVE. That is where you'll do the bulk of this achievement. You can give likes to other players on the game's leaderboards, at the end of any online match, or while spectacting other matches. There appears to be a cap of about 100 likes per day, so I would suggest working on this over time. You will probably need more than six days to complete all the achievements anyway, so just go through the leaderboard each day and give out somewhere just under 100 likes, or do it in smaller chunks if the game is going to take you a few weeks.

You'll get a bunch of likes naturally as you go through all the other achievements, playing online matches and tournaments and the like, so you probably don't need to try and boost this until you have all the other achievements.

Note: For all three "like" related achievements, you must view your personal profile once you hit the 1, 200, and 600 milestones to actually unlock the associated achievements.
  • Investigation or vacation, you can learn a lot by talking to people. Try chatting in the Battle Hub.

Walk up to any other avatar in the Battle Hub and press button-a.png to interact with them, then choose to send a private message, or type something in the global chat. Be nice!
  • Reviewing replays is a great way to learn from past fights. You're bound to make some discoveries.

First you'll need to fight any type of the match in the Battle Hub, then hit button-page.png and choose "CFN" and tab over to the Replays section. Choose any fight in there to watch and unlock this achievement.
  • Earned any titles for your efforts yet? Me? Pfft. I don't need a title. I'm Jamie freakin' Siu!

This will unlock naturally in every mode of the game while doing other achievements, you'll unlock dozens of titles along the way. In fact, I got it by accepting the gifts from Capcom in the main menu before ever playing a single match.
  • A lone wolf is strong, but they're far more fearsome in a pack. So go on—try making some friends!

You need to send a friend request to someone in the CFN for this achievement. Simply view someone's profile after a match or in the Battle Hub, and send a request out to unlock the achievement.
  • Do you know who else never changes their clothes? Animals. Change your outfit. Please.

This can be done in Battle Hub or World Tour. Simply change the appearance of your avatar to unlock this achievement. It will come very naturally in Battle Hub as you equip new gear to get stronger.
  • Have you jammed out at the Battle Hub DJ Booth yet, bud? Turn up and light the dance floor aflame!

You can find the DJ booth on the upper floor of the Battle Hub. Interact with it for the first time to unlock this achievement.
  • Sit down by the Battle Hub's big screen and see what's on show. Man... Used to be me up there.

You can't miss the huge screen in the Battle Hub, straight ahead of where you spawn in. Simply walk up to it and sit on any of the stools in front of it to unlock this achievement.

Secret achievements

    DLC: World Tour (Store Link)

There are 6 achievements with a total of 200 points

    • Helping people in need's the secret to keeping any city peaceful. Go finish 22 sub-missions, got it?

Sub-missions will be marked as blue icons on the map (the menus refer to them as green but they look blue to me), and you only need to complete 22 of them. There are many extra to complete if you'd like. Most of these will serve as short tutorials for simple things like performing a throw, combos, and other special moves. Many will be simple requests to beat up another NPC somewhere and return to the quest-giver. Once you complete 22 of them, you can ignore the rest if you don't need any items or experience.

To check your progress on this, go to your smartphone with button-page.png and choose "Missions" then tab over to the "Sub" category. Anything with a yellow check mark will count toward this. Most of the quests have multiple parts before they are actually complete, and you can see your progress toward completing them with the percentage on this page.
    • If you would call someone master, it is best to know them well. Raise the bond with a master to 100.

You can become students to all the various characters that are on the game's roster throughout World Tour mode. You will begin with Luke and Chun-Li, and it would be quickest to stick with one of them. Be sure to speak to them often to deepen the bond, complete any quests they give you, and you can give them gifts as well. Most gifts will give +1 or +2 depending on the rarity, while certain gifts will be a master's "favorite" and give +5. You can find a full list of each master's favorite gift HERE which shows where to purchase the gifts as well. You'll get plenty of gifts during the story to give out, and earn a lot of items you can sell if you need money to buy gifts at the end of story mode to finish this up.
    • I've worked a few odd jobs. They all doubled as training. You should try a part-time job, too.

Go to any of the brown map markers and complete the odd jobs you find there to earn some money and unlock this achievement. I made pizza at a food truck!
    • Something in your way? Easy fix: send it flyin' with a Master Action! One of life's li'l pleasures.

As you walk around the city, you will see many objects that have a minor glow around them which indicates they can be destroyed. Hold rt.png and press one of the face buttons that you have a master move equipped to (you'll have Luke's on button-y.png from the jump), and hit the breakable item to unlock this achievement.

    Secret achievements

    • Finished World Tour, did you? Congratulations are in order. I hope it was somehow meaningful to you.

Story related and can not be missed - simply complete all the main quests in story mode, marked with a red icon on the map. Of note, the enemies are locked at their levels and the final set of enemies are Level 58, so if you grind a bit past that you should have no trouble finishing the fight even if your actual fighting skills aren't great. You can also complete extra side-quests to earn permanent stat upgrades, and spend any money you have left to purchase better equipment or further stat upgrades from food vendors. Consume some temporary boosts before this fight as well to help out.
    • That's it for basic training! You're a full-fledged rookie now. Next move is up to you. Have fun!

Story related and can not be missed.

    DLC: Fighting Ground (Store Link)

There are 6 achievements with a total of 200 points

    • Fight 100 FG online battles. Too difficult? If you're taking on the world, there is no other path.

In the Fighting Grounds section of the game, fight any 100 online battles to unlock this achievement. If you have a boosting partner, you can do this in a custom room and change the rounds to win down to one to speed things up. However, you may need to complete one ranked or casual match through matchmaking to unlock the achievement after that (doesn't seem to be required but a few people have reported they needed to do so). Matches played in Ranked, Casual, and Custom all count toward this.
    • Head to Fighting Ground and finish Arcade Mode once, buddy! Ya gotta hear fellow fighters' stories!

In the Fighting Ground, choose "Arcade > Story" and you need to complete this with any character. You can lower the difficulty to Easiest, as well as setting one-round matches and only five stages to make it go more quickly.
    • You know of Combo Trials, yes? Finish 45 of them. It will be difficult, but I've faith in you.

In the Fighting Ground, you can complete trials for any character on the roster. You only need 45 total for this achievement, so complete the easiest 2-3 for every character to get this done with the least amount of stress possible. The later trials get progressively more difficult for each character, so unless you're pretty skilled at fighting games this is the best way to knock out the achievement:

For each character, find the set of three consecutive trials for performing the "assisted combos" and start there.
      • Combo 1: rt.png+button-x.png
      • Combo 2: rt.png+button-a.png
      • Combo 3: rt.png+button-b.png
You'll need to hit the face button a few times to complete all the steps of the combo, but you can't beat just holding a trigger and mashing a face button to complete three trials per character. Repeat this for 15 characters and you're done.
    • Swallows can fly super fast, right? Even they were chicks once. Get yourself to Training Mode!

In the Fighting Ground, simply select the Training option to unlock the achievement. Don't even need to train.
    • You seen these Character Guide things? Talk about rad! Bushinryu gets some rep too, naturally.

In the Fighting Ground, choose to view one of the Character Guides.
    • You want to learn the basics? I'm not in the mood to take on students. Go hit the Tutorials, kid.

In the Fighting Ground, simply select the Tutorial option to unlock the achievement. Don't even need to complete it.
