Introduction

It's no surprise that we're cautious with film tie-in video games in the 21st century. After all, we have been burned so many times in years gone by, it’s hard not to be. Fortunately though, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is pretty damn good, which we have to say, is pretty damn surprising.

Firstly, it's bloody beautiful, and Pandora itself is a technical masterpiece. Secondly, Avatar 2 is a little bit of Far Cry, a little bit of Horizon: Forbidden West, and a little bit of Mirror’s Edge (thanks to the game's fluent parkour). And thirdly, it’s a whole lot of fun. Plus, it’s a fairly easy list.

In all, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a damn fine video game, with lots of fun to be had, and a nice cool 1,000gs.png to go along with it. You can’t really complain about that, can you?

Walkthrough

To unlock the full 1,000gs.png in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you're going to need to complete the majority of the game's content - the only thing you won't need to do is collect all of some of the game's collectibles, and do all or many of the side quests. For that, then, you're looking at around 40-50 hours, as there’s tons to collect and uncover - after all, it's a pretty big map.

It's not a particularly hard 1,000gs.png either. In fact, the hardest aspect is the game itself. Even on easy it's not a walk in the park. Thankfully, though, you can't really miss anything, although we're having issues with the One with the Clans (36G) achievement (post-game), which we’ll touch upon in the achievement guide entry below.

So, you can play the game, get collectibles as you go, or approach it however you please. We would, however, recommend the following approach…

Step 1 - Play the Campaign

The only bit of advice we'd give as you're playing through the campaign is non-essential advice but it will help you save time in the long run.

That advice is to clear and collect the following as you go:

And finally, you’re going to want to scan plants and animals as you go too, to work towards both:

On top of the above, you’ll unlock the following story-related achievements as you progress through the story:

Story-related Achievements:

Step 2 - Wrap Up Everything Else

Once you’ve finished the story, it’s time to wrap up the following collectibles (all of which we discussed earlier). They are as follows:

Collectible Achievements:

And finally, that leaves a handful of other general achievements you’ll have to mop up. You will have to go out of your way for more than a few of them, but some you can definitely get naturally.

RPG/Open-World Achievements:

The two that are going to take an absolute age and will likely be the last 2 you unlock are Reclaim Pandora (55G) and One with the Clans (36G). Now, that’s for a few reasons. Firstly, the Reclaim Pandora (55G) achievement has you scouring the map and destroying every trace of the RDA (both Installations and Outposts). Secondly, the One with the Clans (36G) achievement has you delivering progressively trickier materials to various Na’vi communities dotted around Pandora - which you have to do 3 levels of for each of the 3 main tribes. There’s also a caveat on that too, which we’ll get to in the achievement guide for that achievement specifically.

And before we wrap up, you’ll see them linked throughout the guide (both above and below), but we’ve also prepped a load of supplementary guides too:

Conclusion

So, there we have it, folks. If you stick to the above you should blitz through Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in no time whatsoever. And by no time, we mean 40-50 hours, but that’s entirely dependent on how efficient you are when it comes to clearing all the game's collectibles. A pretty good game, in all, and I can't think of many recent open-worlds as good as Pandora. Not a bad way to spend a few hours, in truth!

There are 31 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Complete the main campaign.

    Story-related. Cannot miss.

Once you've worked your way through acts 1-3 (from the Kinglor Forest to the Clouded Forest) you'll enter Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s end-game, which consists of the following 2 main quests:

    • A Hidden Weakness
    • Last Strike

Once you've completed those 2 main quests the credits will roll and you'll have completed the game. Congrats!

Don't worry about anything you've left unfinished either, as you'll be able to carry on with any unfinished side quests and collectibles that you haven't already completed after the credits roll.

  • Defeat a thanator (non-feral)

One of the toughest fauna of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is none other than the ferocious panther-like beast known as a Thanator. While you'll come across a feral Thanator in the game's campaign and various side quests, you'll need to seek out and defeat a “non-feral” Thanator to unlock the ‘No Easy Prey’ achievement.

Non-feral Thanators are perhaps the rarest predators in the whole game, but when one is close, you'll definitely know it.

You'll find a non-feral Thanator in central Cradling Pines in the Clouded Forest, just east of the Carver River (near the Budding Watcher). You'll know when you're in the right place because a.) The outlines of your screen will start to develop a white hue around them; and b.) You won't be able to use your Na’vi Sense ability, with your character saying (amongst other things) “What was that? Why can’t I focus?”

After a short amount of time of staying in that area with the white HUD display effect, the Thanator will turn up, and let me tell you, it's a proper beast! The best way to defeat it is to find a tree in the area, and dance around it.

The AI of most beasts in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is pretty dense, so you can use the tree to quite easily see off the Thanator. Just simply use the jump button to the left and right (with it acting like a dodge) and then take pot shots at the beast with your Longbow (quick to draw, quick to fire) and you should see off the beast with relative ease.

Do that and the ‘No Easy Prey’ achievement is all yours.

  • Unlock three Ancestor Skills.

There are 12 Ancestor Skills you can unlock in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and these skills are generally powerful passive perks or abilities that will make your life so much easier.

In order to unlock an Ancestor Skill, you'll need to seek out what are known as Tarysu Flowers (not to be confused with Tarysu Saplings), which once you find them, will reward you with a new Ancestor Skill and 2 lovely skill points to spend.

As I said, there's 12 in all, but seek out just 3, and you'll unlock the ‘Talk to the Ancestors’ achievement. They’ll be usually marked on the map with a large flower icon with a purple hue around it - and when you’re close enough, you can hover the reticule over them on the map to see what skill they contain.

Below you'll find the location of all 12 Ancestor Skills:

  • Touch 20 tarsyu saplings.

Tarsyu Saplings are smaller versions of the Tarsyu Flowers where you get Ancestor Skills from (see Talk to the Ancestors (20G)). While you get an ability and 2 skill points for seeking out Tarsyu Flowers (of which there are only 12), the Tarsyu Saplings will grant you an extra skill point for each one you seek out.

Thankfully, though, the Tarsyu Saplings are plentiful in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, so don't worry too much about these (there’s a good 60 or so of them), and the good news is that they'll show on the map as soon as you're close to one.

Seek out 20 of the Tarsyu Saplings, then, and you'll unlock the ‘Sprouting Potential' achievement. In terms of shortcuts to get all 20, we've got a few hot tips for you:

    • There are 3 next to each other in eastern The Celebration Valley in the Upper Plains - the game’s second area.
    • There are also 3 next to each other on Wing Mountain in eastern The Stone Hold in the Upper Plains (again, the second area).
    • And finally, there's also an Ancestor Skill called Tarsyu Network, that you can seek out to make your life easier - it’s an ability that marks nearby Tarsyu Seedlings on your map after you grab one. You can find the Tarsyu Network Ancestor Skill north-northwest of Giant’s Bane (and the Resistance Hideout) in the Clouded Forest (in the third act). You’ll find this particular Tasryu Flower and the aforementioned Ancestor Skill near the Cascading Stones, on top of a massive mountain called the Crying Giant.

Grab 20 Tarsyu Saplings and the ‘Sprouting Potential’ achievement is all yours.

  • Touch 20 bellsprigs.

In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, there are special trees you can interact with that will boost your maximum health ever so slightly. These trees are called “Bellsprigs.”

There are 80 in all, so it's not like they're a rare commodity, and once you've interacted with 20, you'll unlock the ‘Full Bloom’ achievement.

They'll always show up as icons on the map as soon as you get close, so don't sweat this one too much either. We didn't really concentrate too much on them, only heading out of our way on rare occasions, but by the end of the game we'd easily got 40 or so.

  • Collect all windswept kites.

When you find yourself in the second of three regions in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, AKA the Upper Plains, you'll be able to start working on the ‘Tethered Kites’ achievement - just make sure you get access to your Ikran first.

If you speak to Fa’zak, a kitemaker in the Common Space of The Circle in the Upper Plains, you'll be able to initiate the side quest, “The Wind Will Carry Us,” that has you seeking out the 9 Zeswa Kites that are dotted around two of the region’s subregions: the Mother of Rivers and the Shattered Bridge.

For the exact location of all 9 windswept kites, check out our guide:

  • Complete the quest Becoming.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

The game’s fifth main mission is a quest called, Becoming, which takes place after visiting your first Tarsyu Flower in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. In it, you’ll have to sprint west to the Resistance Research Station and repel an RDA attack. The quest ends when you’ve grabbed the meds and cleared the enemies that ambush you in front of the base, before returning to your comrades to see the quest through to its conclusion.

You’ll need to complete the following main quests before Becoming is available:

    • Awakening
    • Pandora
    • Welcome to the Resistance
    • Songs of the Ancestor
  • Complete the quest Pushing Back.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s 13th main mission is a quest called, Pushing Back, where you (after bonding with your Ikran) and Etuwa will head to the Hydra-Oil Extractor Alpha - southwest of the Rising Spires - in order to liberate the Outpost and send a message to the RDA. Once you’ve liberated the outpost you’ll head after Etuwa and then back to the Hometree, which will conclude the quest and you’ll unlock the ‘Aranahe Alliance’ achievement in the process.

You’ll need to complete the following main quests before Pushing Back is available:

    • The Aranahe Clan
    • Eywa’s Blessing
    • The Missing Hunter
    • A Queen’s Vision
    • The Eye of the Eywa
    • Take Flight
    • Those Who Guide Us
  • Complete the quest Combined Forces.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

The 19th main quest of Avatar 2 is the Combined Forces quest, which is the conclusion to the game’s Upper Plains act. In it you’ll have to infiltrate the Extractor Plant, west of Zakru’s Promise. Make sure you’re a decent level for this mission, as it can be a touch challenging, as you’ll be fighting RDA mechs galore, in relatively open environments with very little cover. Once you’ve blown up the plant and made it back to Alma, the quest is over and the ‘Stronger Together’ achievement is all yours.

You’ll need to complete the following main quests before Combined Forces is available:

    • The Wandering Clan
    • Hunters Hunted
    • The Lodge
    • The Weeping Gorge
    • Call to Battle
  • Complete the quest Revelations.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

The 26th main quest of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a quest called Revelations, and is the conclusion to the Kame’tire storyline in the Clouded Forest. After uncovering the truth behind what happened to the Sarentu tribe, you’ll venture into the White Moss Forest to hunt down a Meer Deer, before plenty of revelations are made back at the Resistance Hideout. It’s a light on the action, heavy on the narrative kind of quest.

You’ll need to complete the following main quests before Revelations is available:

    • A Victory Celebration
    • Escape Plan
    • Loss and Ruin
    • The Hidden Clan
    • Shadows of the Past
    • A New Plan
    • Into the Fog
  • Complete the quest Rising Pressure.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

After unlocking the Clearing the Mist (20G) achievement and completing the main quest, Revelations, you’ll embark on a quest to takedown a drill platform in ‘A Distant Storm.’ After that quest Priya will be in touch and the next main quest, ‘Rising Pressure’ will start. Once you’ve completed this fairly lengthy quest, the ‘Eco Warrior’ achievement will unlock and you’ll be ready to move into the endgame.

  • Collect all windswept dolls.

Another of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's collectibles comes in the form of windswept dolls.

If you speak to Namtet in The Hollows in the Clouded Forest, you'll start the quest “The Dark Theatre,” where he'll talk about a series of missing shadow puppets. You may need to progress a little through the region’s main quests first for Namtet to offer you this - if it helps, we finished ‘Shadows of the Past’ and then discovered this was available.

The Windswept Dolls can be found in large stone formations, or inside large tree hollows in and around the Clouded Forest region. They're usually near water, but not always, and can be tricky to find.

For the location of all 9 shadow puppet locations, check out our Windswept Dolls guide:

  • Complete all recon retrievals.

Dotted throughout Avatar: Frontier of Pandora's large open-world are what's called Data Collectors, which is what this achievement refers to.

There are 9 Data Collectors in all, and they require you to hack a computer, and then hack 3 data collectors in the immediate vicinity to complete one. These open-world activities are usually found near large wind turbines and unique rock structures, so keep an eye out for those.

For the location of all 9 Data Collectors, check out our recon retrieval guide below:

  • Unlock 20 Hunter's Guide entries for gatherable wildlife.

Pandora is a planet packed to the rafters with exotic and alien (to us) wildlife. While some of the planet’s fauna can be friendly, a good percentage of them can be hostile. Whether you’re talking about Viperwolves and Lantern Beetles, or Direhorses and Thanators, Pandora is chock full of exotic wildlife.

There are 42 unique “gatherable” wildlife species in Pandora in all, and in order to unlock the ‘Wildlife Expert’ achievement, you'll need to scan 20 of them.

You do that by holding the rb.png button to activate your Na’vi Senses and then clicking in analog-left.png to “Inspect.” Once you’ve done that on a new species, it’ll add it to the Hunter’s Guide (the second tab in the start menu).

In terms of tips, we have a few for you:

    • Firstly, you’ll unlock a load of entries when you do side and main quests.
    • You’ll also come across a load of enemies as you go for the collectibles too. For instance, you’ll find a Hammerhead Titanothere in Waterway Valley in Kinglor Forest (the southeast of the world map) by the Sarentu Totem (which gives lots of Exquisite materials when you kill it too).
    • In terms of animals, you can scan literally everything: flying animals, fish, insects, ground animals, animals in encampments, your own Ikran, and so on. The key factor here, for this achievement, however, is the word “gatherable.” So, as long as you can loot them after you’ve killed them, they’re classed as “gatherable.”

Just be aware of this achievement going into your playthrough, and scan (and inspect) where possible and you’ll sleepwalk your way towards the ‘Wildlife Expert’ achievement.

  • Unlock 30 Hunter's Guide entries for gatherable plants.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s large open-world is chock full of plantlife and fauna that puts most open-worlds to shame. From mushrooms and wind bent trees, to bioluminescent flowers and spiky brambles, Pandora has it all. All you need to get the ‘Great Gatherer’ achievement, then, is to scan just under half of the available amount of gatherable plants. What the game means by gatherable refers to the resource of a plant mainly. So, for instance, if there’s a large tree with a root, the root is the gatherable plant. Not the tree.

According to Ubisoft Connect, there are 70 different species of gatherable plants in Pandora, all of which can be tracked in your Hunter’s Guide (in the pause menu), under Type > Flora (gatherable). You only need to scan and register 30 to unlock this achievement.

Like the Wildlife Expert (20G) achievement, all you need to do is just be vigilant and scan a lot to unlock this achievement, in truth. In order to get an item to show up in the Hunter’s Guide, use your Na’vi Sense with rb.png and then click in analog-left.png to “Inspect” the item. If it’s new you’ll get a pop-up in the top right-hand corner.

Like the aforementioned ‘Wildlife Expert’ achievement too, you’ll unlock a load of these from completing side quests, main quests, and general exploration - as the game will often refer to items in quests, which will then add them to your Hunter’s Guide. We actually unlocked this when collecting designs from someone in the Circle.

So, go to the traders in all major hubs, grab their designs, as well as checking all lootable baskets and what not, and that right there is a lot of the legwork for this achievement. On top of that, just scan a lot and keep plodding on. You’ll very likely get this anyway without even trying, as the One with the Clans (36G) achievement will have you going around Pandora and getting a shopping list of materials for the various Na’vi camps.
  • Collect 30 audio logs.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora wouldn’t be an open-world game without a ton of audio logs - that’s what the unwritten rules of video game development says, anyway. Simply grab 30 audio logs and the ‘A Good Listener’ achievement will be all yours.

You’ll quickly learn when searching for them that they tend to follow a few rules that you can use to minimise the time you spend searching for them. Those rules are as follows:

    • You’ll find a ton in the main RDA hideouts and encampments you find yourself in - both main and side quest locations. For instance, the Resistance Headquarters in Kinglor Forest has more than a few.
    • You’ll also find them at Resistance Field Labs (not all the time, but every so often).
    • There’ll also likely be an Audio Log or Note in the reward room when you’ve cleared an RDA Outpost.

And if all else fails, we’ve prepared a guide with where to find all of the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s audio logs (and notes, for Story Guardian (36G)) below that you can use too:

  • Unlock an Apex Skill.

When you get a good distance into Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll have accrued enough skill points to try and unlock one of the game’s 5 Apex Skills - there’s one for each skill tree (Survivor, Warrior, Hunter, Maker and Rider).

In order to unlock an Apex Skill, you’ll have to do two things:

    • Firstly, purchase all skills within that skill tree.
    • Secondly, complete an Apex Challenge (like a side quest).

Once you’ve completed the aforementioned Apex Challenge, the Apex Skill will now be yours, as will the ‘Peak Performance’ achievement.

Now, it’ll depend on how much you focus on a specific skill tree, as to how early you’ll be able to unlock this. First things first, don’t worry about putting all your skill points into one tree - there’s more than enough in Pandora to make this unmissable. In fact, we currently have 3 Apex Skills as it stands.

When it comes to the challenges, they differ from skill tree to skill tree - as do the Apex Skills themselves. The Apex Skills for each skill tree can be found at the top of the relevant skill tree page i.e. at the top of the Survivor skill tree, you’ll see the Second Wind Apex Skill tied to that skill tree.

Right, let’s talk about the challenges themselves. The 3 main ones that we went for are as follows:

    • The Bow Master (Maker skill tree) - Craft a Energizing Longbow.
    • The Perfect Hunt (Survivor skill tree) - Take down a Feral Viperwolf and Feral Thanator with clean kills.
    • Powerful Shots (Warrior skill tree) - Defeat an AMP Commando hitting only weak points and armor with the Spear Thrower and the Heavy Bow.

Out of the above, the hardest is in fact The Bow Master, as it’s tough to get the relevant materials to make the bow, while the other two are easily obtainable.

For The Perfect Hunt, all you need to do is kill a Feral Viper Wolf and a Feral Thanator with only weak point shots - to register a “clean kill.” Doing so will complete that Apex Challenge. If you focus on the Survivor skill tree early on, you’ll have plenty of time to get this Apex Challenge completed, and you’ll likely do it without even knowing about it - like we did.

And then there’s the Warrior skill tree Apex Challenge, which is just as obtainable - although a touch harder. All you need to do for that is head to an RDA Outpost/Installation, and then scan to see if there’s an AMP Commando in the vicinity. If there is, clear out the camp of everyone else so it’s just you and the AMP Commando. Then, take pot shots at the Commando, hitting only the weak spots. The best way to do it is to get behind it, hit the weak spot, and then disappear from its line of sight, and then make your way around the back of it without being seen, to take another shot at the weak point on its back. Then, it’s just a matter of rinse and repeat. If you have the Silent Destroyer skill in the Hunter skill tree too, it’ll make this challenge a lot easier.

So, finish an Apex Challenge (whichever one you find easiest), get an Apex Skill, and unlock the ‘Peak Performance’ achievement.

  • Defeat 10 RDA installations.

RDA Installations in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are small RDA bases that you’ll need to take out for the Reclaim Pandora (55G) achievement. There’s over 20 of these in all, and they’re indicated by a small tower on the map - surrounded by pollution.

Simply nip in, destroy whatever the objective is, and the Installation will fall. A few things to note:

    • There’s usually only a handful of troops and 2 RDA mechs at these smaller outposts, so they’re super easy - plus, they won’t set off an alarm if they see you, they’ll just attack you.
    • In actual fact, you don’t have to kill anyone to shutdown an RDA Installation. You can get in and get out without killing anyone, as long as you focus on the objective.
    • And finally, as soon as you complete the objectives, the infiltration will come to a close, even if you’re in the middle of combat - and you won’t have to kill them after the cutscenes have finished either.

For a list of all the game’s RDA Installations and where to find them, check out our guide below:

  • Defeat five RDA outposts.

While the RDA Installations in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are small and super bitesize camps to infiltrate and take down (see Little by Little (36G)), the RDA Outposts are much bigger in size and scope. These are proper base infiltrations, and Pandora is chock full of them.

You’ll get this achievement naturally, as you’ll need to take down all of them for the Reclaim Pandora (55G) achievement, but the objective is very similar to the Installations: get in, complete the objectives, and then boom, you’re done.

The Outposts, however, do have a few similarities to the Installations, except things are ramped up. Thankfully, though, you only have to get in and deal with the objectives, and you don’t have to take down the enemies if you don’t want to - and yes, the infiltration ends as soon as you complete the last objective, regardless of whether you’re being attacked by 20 RDA troops or not.

The best thing about RDA Outposts though, is the rewards you get at the end. Not only will you more often than not get a note (for Story Guardian (36G)) or an audio diary (A Good Listener (36G)), but you’ll get a load of goodies too, including gear and weapons. Plus, if you get in without setting off an alarm, you’ll also get more rewards.

One note for this achievement in particular: the Hydro-Oil Extractor Alpha in Rising Spires, which is part of the ‘Pushing Back’ main quest, does not count for this achievement.

For a full list of all the RDA Outposts and where to find them, check out our supplementary guide:

  • Collect 30 notes.

Two of the more traditional collectibles in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora come in the form of audio logs and notes.

Fortunately, unlike the audio logs, the notes are much more prevalent to find around Pandora, so you shouldn't struggle too much with this achievement. Like the audio logs (A Good Listener (36G)), they follow a familiar pattern (although the notes present more opportunities to find them). Those patterns are as follows:

    • You'll find these at major Resistance bases.
    • They can also be found at Resistance Field Labs.
    • And yes, they too can be found in the reward room of completed RDA Outposts.
    • They'll also appear in unique main and side quest locations, like the Divergence Station from the Finding Homes side quests.
    • Speaking of the Finding Homes side quests, you'll at least find one at 10 of the game's Computer Terminals, and maybe even another one in the vicinity of said Computer Terminal (that's a minimum of 10 right there). You'll need to complete all of them for the Father and Son in the Stars (36G) achievement anyway.

Regardless of the above, we've also prepared a guide for all the notes and audio logs you can find in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which you can find below:

  • Unlock three recipes for specialty dishes.

    Story-related, cannot miss.

As well as craft gear and weapons in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you can also cook. While most recipes just restore a bit of energy, and maybe give you the odd perk, speciality dishes can give massive boosts across the board - they usually have 2 temporary perks, not 1. So, getting your hands on those specialty recipes is pretty important and can give you a much needed boost.

Thankfully, you'll unlock specialty recipes as you go through the campaign, and can unlock them from side quests too. You'll actually unlock the below 3 as you make your way through Pandora and the game’s main campaign, making this a story-related and unmissable achievement.

The 3 specialty recipes you receive and when you unlock them are:

    • Sweetened Niktsyey - Story-related - You receive this one towards the end of the Kinglor Forest story missions.
    • Cheesy Sahena - Story-related - You receive this one during The Wandering Clan main quest in the Upper Plains
    • Stormglider Soup - Story-related - You'll unlock this one after finishing the Hunters Hunted main quest in the Upper Plains.

Remember, you don't have to make the dishes, you just need to unlock the specialty recipes.

  • Craft a weapon or gear piece of 'superior' rarity or higher.

There are 3 different rarity values in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora:

    • Fine (green)
    • Superior (purple)
    • Exquisite (gold/yellow)

So, Fine is your standard rarity, Superior is your rare rarity, and Exquisite is your super rare rarity. In order to unlock the ‘Apprentice Crafter’ achievement, you'll need to craft either a Superior piece of gear (armor) or weapon.

Now, the first thing you need to get are designs, AKA blueprints. You'll get these as mission rewards as you go, or alternatively, you can get them from certain individuals in the game's major hub areas (like the Hometree) - to find these individuals, just use your Na’vi Sense and look for the characters with blue outlines and go speak to them, and then tab across to designs.

What you'll need to do then is craft one. Finding the ingredients to make one is perhaps the most challenging aspect of this achievement, but it's not too hard. Just make sure you loot baskets and boxes when you can, but if you need something specific, just go to the Hunter's Guide and pin the material you need to find and follow the instructions for their location (always go to the rare location) - once they’re pinned they'll then show up with a yellow/gold outline when you use your Na’vi Sense in the open-world.

Once you've crafted a Superior (or Exquisite) piece of gear or a weapon, you'll unlock this achievement.

  • Collect all treasure hunt comics.

Perhaps one of the more intensive collectibles in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are what are known as Comic Book Pages (as they're listed in the Lost Items section in your journal).

There are 11 to collect in all, but in order to pinpoint them far easier than searching without any guidance, you'll need to do a few things first.

    • Firstly, you'll need to find all 10 of the Computer Terminals in Pandora and hack them. This will initiate the exploration side quests, “Finding Home,” which points you in the right direction.
    • Then, you need to head to the location in the image that you received from the Computer Terminal.
    • And then finally, you'll need to search the vicinity of the location in the photograph to find an old abandoned RDA trailer, where inside you'll find the Comic Book Page.

The above will only work for the first 10 Comic Book Pages, and once you've picked up your 10th, the 11th Finding Home side quest will appear in your quest log. To get the last page you need to head to Divergence Station in Waterway Valley in the southeast of Kinglor Forest. Divergence Station is in an alcove to the north-northeast of the region - you can only gain access once you've got all 10 of the open-world Comic Book Pages. The final Comic Book Page can be found inside Divergence Station itself, and grabbing it will conclude the story being told - as well as wrap up all the Finding Home side quests.

Once you've grabbed the 11th Comic Book Page, you’ll also unlock the ‘Father and Son in the Stars’ achievement too.

All of the locations of the Computer Terminals and Comic Book Pages can be found in our guide below:

  • Reach an air quality level of 100%.

The ‘Reclaim Pandora’ achievement is definitely one of, if not the, most time consuming achievement in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

To unlock it you need to take down every single RDA Installation and RDA Outpost - there's well over 50 of these in total.

The best way to see what you haven't completed is to zoom out on the map screen as far as you can go and look for the brown spots - these indicate polluted areas, which is a result of either an RDA Installation or Outpost.

Simply take down every RDA base and this achievement is yours. You can keep track of the percentage of how much you've done and how much you've got left to do at any Resistance Field Lab (once you've restored the power).

For a full list of RDA Installations and RDA Outposts, check out our guide through the link:

  • Tune all aeolian wind flutes.

Scattered throughout the Upper Plains, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s second area, are what Ubisoft Massive call Aeolian Wind Flutes.

The wind flutes are another of Pandora’s open-world collectibles/activities. While the Sarentu Totems and Bladewing Trails require you to perform a small activity to complete them, the flutes just require you to find them and interact with them (and then turning the stick in a 360 degree circle).

These flutes are usually found on cliff tops and offer some spectacular views. There are 13 to complete in all, and they can be found at the following locations:

  • Complete all Sarentu totem interactions.

Dotted throughout the entirety of Pandora are what’s known as Sarentu Totems, an open-world activity that will grant you Exquisite gear designs after completing certain numbers of them.

There are 12 to complete in all (with the first design coming when you've completed 3), and in order to mark them as done, you'll need to find a specific viewpoint that overlooks the totem and then “Observe” them - this will give you an insight into the formidable Sarentu tribe that once roamed the Pandora.

To get to the aforementioned overlook point you'll have to follow a series of arrows in the form of flags, that will take you around the immediate area, and lead you to the spot where you can complete the trial.

Below you will find all of the Sarentu Totem locations, as well as where to stand to complete them. Once you've got all 12, you'll not only unlock the fourth and final Sarentu clan gear design, but you'll also unlock the ‘Vision of Ancestors’ achievement.

  • Complete 10 Mycelium Network activities.

While most activities in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are one-and-done activities, there's one that you can repeat constantly if you wish - once it's had time to refresh, of course.

Those such activities can be found at Budding Watchers, which when completed, count as “Mycelium Network activities.”

To complete a Budding Watcher, you'll need to follow 4 mushroom trails from the large mushroom stack itself. Once you've followed them and interacted with the medium-sized mushrooms at the end of each trail, you'll be able to return to the giant mushroom stack and grab a reward, which usually comes in the form of a rare potion.

There are 9 dotted around the Clouded Forest to complete - yes, you'll have to complete at least one twice - and once you've finished your tenth Budding Watcher, the ‘Mushroom Navigator’ achievement will unlock. One note: make sure to grab the potion from the basket at the end - underneath the large mushroom - otherwise the task won't be considered complete.

You can find the location of all 9 Budding Watchers in the guide below:

  • Follow all the bladewing moths to their nests

One of the more interesting open-world activities found dotted around Pandora come in the form of Bladewing Trails, where you'll have to follow a bunch of Bladewing Moths from A to B.

Most of them are fairly simple, and you'll be able to amble after them, however, there are a couple that we'd recommend using your Ikran for, as the Bladewing Moths go super fast.

There are 11 to complete in all, found in all 3 of the game's regions. Once you've completed the 11th, the ‘Fleet-Footed’ achievement will unlock.

Check out our guide below for the location of all 11 Bladewing Trails:

  • Complete part 3 of the Aranahe Community, Zeswa Community, and Kame'tire Community side quests.

The ‘One with the Clans’ achievement is definitely one of the more time consuming and involved achievements that exists in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

The Community Contribution side quests require you to find a specific ingredient of a specific rarity and deliver it to a Na’vi camp - both smaller camps and main hub camps.

For instance, the Na’vi in the Foragers’ Meeting encampment will require 1 Lionberry Fiber (Fine) which needs to be found or foraged, and then donated to the community via the community basket.

Like a few other open-world activities, this  activity is three-fold:

    • Firstly, you'll need to find all the Na’vi camps (and clear the pollution nearby if it's polluted).
    • Next, you'll want to interact with the Community Basket to see what they want.
    • And finally, you'll need to find the item and deliver it to the basket, thus marking it as complete.

There are three regions in all, each with their own Na’vi clan (Aranahe community in the Kinglor Forest, Zeswa community in the Upper Plains, and Kame'tire who you can find in the Clouded Forest). You'll basically need to do around 15 Community Contributions for each clan - although that doesn't mean you have to do all the Na’vi camps, there's a little bit of leeway. For instance, the Kinglor Forest only requires 3 for part 1, 5 for part 2 and 7 for part 3, when there's more camps than that to max them out.

We found the best strategy was to first locate and initaite all the camps when possible, and then as soon as you pick up an item (whether found in a basket or by killing an animal/foraging a plant) take it to said camp. A quick side note too, there'll be a few instances where you can trade favour for an item that you need at a major hub area, so keep an eye out for these possibilities.

Note: Now, let's talk about the disclaimer that I made at the beginning of the achievement guide. Basically, as it stands in my own save, I can't actually continue with the Zeswa clan's contributions quest in the Upper Plains, because the game has put a “check” on the “Zaswa Community Contributions” side quest, saying “This quest cannot be completed at the moment. Continue progressing other quests.”

Here's the weird thing: firstly, I've finished the game and I'm back in the open-world post completing the final quest; and two, I've done pretty much every Upper Plains side quest as it stands, meaning there shouldn't be a reason to stop me progressing in this particular quest. That means three things then: firstly, it's either bugged; secondly, it’s missable; or lastly, it's reliant on another side quest I've not done yet. Now, considering the other two regions are fine (post-game), we're going to put it down to a bug/glitch, which we hope gets patched.

Regardless of that, below you'll find a list of most of the region's Na’vi camps (it's just missing the Hometree from what I can tell), and what materials (and what rarity) they need, so you can start saving up as soon as possible (and don't accidentally feed them to your Ikran, like we did, ha).

  • Complete the final Steady Wings side quest

The “Steady Wings” side quest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a 3-part side quest that you can pick up along the way.

The first part we picked up from a Na’vi in the Sunshade Silks Na’vi Camp in the center of Rising Spires in the Kinglor Forest. Whether this changes and when unlocks, we're not sure - I assume it's after you've finished with act 1 and moved onto the Upper Plains (again, this is an assumption based on a few things to do with the Kinglor in the campaign’s first act in Kinglor Forest).

The side quest text says, “The kinglor are starting to return to the forest, but too many still linger in the Hometree.” To start the side quest you then have to head to the top of the Hometree and speak to Etuwa, up in the Hometree’s Kinglor Nest.

Steady Wings is basically a three-part side quest that has you walking from the Hometree to various different locations relatively near the Hometree. Yes, you have to walk, as running, combat, flying and swimming will spook the Kinglor and set you back to the beginning (or last in-game checkpoint).

The quest basically has you walking to a small Kinglor nest on a tree, and then walking to a large tree to put the Kinglor in and let them settle into their new home. It's pretty easy going, to be fair, but incredibly dull and slow. If you have guided navigation on, it's a matter of getting from A to B (you can even run as you get closer). If you have exploration navigation on, just make sure you use your Na’vi sense, and stick to the navigational directions. Once you've done part 1, head back to the top of the Hometree for part 2, and so on until you've done part 3 (parts 2 and 3 get longer with more stops, so just be aware of that).

A few notes for those using exploration navigation:

    • In Part 2, the endpoint isn’t actually on Spool Island, it’s actually on the mainland to the north of it - use your Na’vi Sense to see it when you’re a few hundred meters away from the river to spot it.
    • And in Part 3, the new home is north of the split in the Threaded River (a fair distance north of it, in fact). Again, use your Na’vi Sense as you get closer.

As long as you stay out of the water, and don't attack any predators (if you come across any dangerous fauna, just run) you'll be more than okay. Once you've finished Steady Wings - Part 3, you'll unlock the ‘Kinglor Carer’ achievement.

  • Unlock 3 skills in each skill tree

There are 5 skill trees in total in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora: Survivor, Warrior, Hunter, Maker and Rider. While you start with 4, you'll unlock your fifth when you bond with your Ikran in the main quest, Take Flight.

All you need to do then is unlock 3 individual skills in each of the 5 skill trees. You should have more than enough skill points to do this by the end of the campaign, but if you don't, you can get skill points for the following:

    • Completing main and side quests.
    • Unlocking Ancestor Skills.
    • Interacting with Tarsyu Saplings.

Get 3 skills in 5 skill trees and the ‘Becoming Na’vi’ achievement is all yours.
