Introduction:
Welcome to South Park: Snow Day! This game marks a significant departure from the previous two South Park games, which were both 2.5D turn-based RPGs. This game takes a format similar to Hades, which you can tell is what the developers were playing at the time when they thought up this game. However, this game is broken into five separate chapters rather than one continuous playthrough that Hades and other roguelite games use. Similar to those game thoughs is that you'll get various perks and upgrades specific to your current run, but those are random and will vary run to run. You'll also get a currency to use on permanent perks between runs, just like a true roguelite. The combat is pretty simplistic but isn't a walk in the park. The achievements only consist of a few story related ones. Most are combat or situational miscellaneous achievements that get you to do and experience various powers and weapons in the game. Let's get started.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
This game consists of five independent chapters rather than one continuous playthrough like other roguelite games, but each chapter will take upwards of an hour on your first playthrough. Explore and look around for the shimmering breakable containers, breaking them to get Toilet Paper (TP), Dark Matter (DM), or health. The more thorough you are, the easier your playthrough will be. A quick note on the currencies:

  • Toilet Paper (TP) is for the current chapter only. When you beat the boss and return to Kupa Keep, you lose all TP. There is therefore no point to saving it up. Utilize TP to upgrade cards each time you get one from Jimmy. If you can afford it, always upgrade a card before you pick it. There's no point in saving up all that TP only to never use it.
  • Dark Matter (DM) is for upgrading permanently between runs. Dark Matter is either gotten from breakable containers or chests, where it kind of looks like coffee thermoses, or from black puddles on the ground that you can absorb with dpad-down.png when given the prompt (those puddles are really rare). Back at Kupa Keep between runs, you can interact with the port-o-potty to spend DM on upgrades. Personally, I spent all of mine on the "left" path from the center, which is the path to increase ranged damage, melee damage, and Pissed Off meter, but you can cater it to however you want
  • Platinum Points (PP) are rewards from completing various ingame challenges (such as those are correspond to achievements). These are used only for buying cosmetics from the Bazaar in Kupa Keep and are NOT needed for any achievements. Feel free to completing ignore PP and the Bazaar if you're just going for achievements
Go ahead and jump right in, since you only have one melee weapon and one ranged weapon to start with. The tutorial will walk you through all the mechanics of the game, weapons, powers, currencies, cards, etc. Go ahead and start progressing through the chapters then too. If playing solo, I highly recommending keeping the Healing Totem as one of your two powers, since it's the only reliable way to heal. If playing co-op, someone should still bring it so there's a healer present, otherwise you'll often find yourself low on health without any real way to heal unless you can find health lying around the battlefield somewhere.

As you progress, spend your TP on upgrading cards that you want so they're as strong as possible, making things easier on you, and don't forget to spend DM between chapters to make the following chapters more manageable. As you're working your way through chapters, there are a bunch of miscellaneous achievements you can work on to save time and make things more efficient, saving mop up time. Here is a list of general things to keep an eye out for.

Look for the following Bullshit cards at the start of each chapter:

  • Moon Jump - I found this largely useless, but the achievement Mooncrash (20G) is tied to it and is really easy to get as long as you try for it. Take an opportunity to do so when that Bullshit card presents itself
  • Invisibility - another card that I found not very useful, but No Tears Now, Only Dreams (20G) requires you to finish off a boss with a melee attack while invisible. It's a bit of a pain, but worth getting it out of the way if you can manage
  • On the flip side, look out for the Vampires Bullshit card from your opponents. You need to kill 10 Vampires for Van Helsing (20G) and it only counts if you kill them, not if your NPC allies do so. So, make sure if your enemy uses the Vampires Bullshit card, you beeline toward the Vampires and kill them yourself. It'll cut down on replays and grinding later
As for abilities you can use, around half of them have achievements. Here's what to pay attention to:

  • Fart Escape - there are two easy achievements you can get with this ability: The Green Seas (20G) for grossing out four enemies at once, which is really easy to do (just use the ability when four little enemies are around you), and then Put the Ass in Assassin (20G), which needs to be used on the enemies that turn invisible a cumulative total of three times
  • Healing Totem - one achievement, Powdered Cheese Bath (20G), for this power, and it's really easy to get during a boss fight. You'll likely be taking this power with you on every run though
  • Gravity Bomb - I found this power pretty useless, so I don't recommend actually using it. It's really easy to grab I'll Do It Myself (20G) right at the start of any run, rather than trying to make due with this power throughout a whole run
  • Cheesing - the two achievements tied to this power are The Escher of Necromancy (20G) and Middle Management (20G), both of which must be done on Chapter 4. Bring Cheesing power with you on that chapter and try to get both if possible so save yourself from another run of Chapter 4
Lastly, below is a chapte-specific list of what achievements to go for:

  • Chapter 1 - Powdered Cheese Bath (20G) and The Green Seas (20G) should be gotten in this chapter since they're your only two available powers. You can also work on (and unlock) Death From Above (20G) in this chapter since the enemies are weaker. Might as well take care of Grave Dancing (20G) the first time your allies go down too. Lastly, this is a good time to get Tap That Maple Syrup (20G) since Ents only show up in Chapter 1 and Chapter 4, and you need to be using the Twin Daggers to get it
  • Chapter 2 - choose Fart Escape again as a power, and use it to get Put the Ass in Assassin (20G) in this chapter. Nothing else specific to this chapter
  • Chapter 3 - you'll get two story achievements in this chapter, but other than that, no chapter-specific achievements here
  • Chapter 4 - this is where Necros are for the first time, so choose Cheesing as one of your abilities so you can try for both Middle Management (20G) and The Escher of Necromancy (20G). You should also have unlocked the Wand by now, so choose it (since it's way better than the other two ranged weapons), and then you can try to unlock Fields of Flame (20G). Lastly, during the boss fight at the end of the chapter, make sure to unlock Know Thy Enemy (70G)
  • Chapter 5 - right at the beginning is a great place to get cannonball kills for Pirate Ship, Please! (30G). Other than that, make sure to get Clean Underwear (70G) during the final boss fight
The last miscellaneous achievement to call out is Impotent Vengeance (20G) for farting on a boss while you're downed. This can be gotten solo, just be aware of that. If you lose all health solo, you can wait for your NPC allies to try to revive you. While crawling around, you need to fart (dpad-right.png) on a boss. This is pretty situational, so if you do get happen to get downed during a boss fight, try for that achievement while waiting for your allies to revive you. It'll save you running a chapter just for that one achievement.

After beating the game, you get access to Nichole and her Infernal Pacts, making it possible to unlock A New Rule (20G) and Hardcore (30G). This is quite easy to do, and I recommend doing it on Chapter 5 to make it as quick and simple as possible. Refer to Hardcore (30G) for more information on how to quickly get both of those achievements, which may sound hard but they aren't really.

Now that all of those achievements are done, you likely still have some mop-up to do. Refer to the guide for whatever miscellaneous achievements you still have left to see the quickest and easiest ways to knock them out.

Lastly is Marshpooper (70G), which is technically the hardest achievement in the game. I recommend saving it for last because, by the time you complete all other achievements, you'll both be much better at the game but also have unlocked lots of Dark Matter perks in the hub to make you stronger. Refer to Marshpooper (70G) for tips on how to make that achievement as painless as possible. That should wrap up this completion, aside from playing online with someone for Socially Transmitted Distraction (20G).

Conclusion:
I personally had fun with this game, but I also went into it with low expectations thanks to some pretty harsh reviews. While it may not be as solid of a game as the previous two RPGs, it's still fun while it lasts, and thankfully doesn't requie any grinding. It definitely would've been way more fun with more weapon variety and enemy types, but even playing the entire thing solo I still enjoyed it. It definitely doesn't stand out in the roguelite genre, but if you're a South Park fan you'll definitely still enjoy this game for what it's worth: some mindless fun for a handful of hours.

There are 32 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Kill an enemy while floating with Moon Jump.

Moon Jump is one of the possible Bullshit cards you could be presented with at the start of a run. If you're just going for this achievement, you can reset runs until Moon Jump is an option.

When used, this Bullshit card gives you the ability to jump very high and gives you unlimited stamina. The description here is actually slightly wrong (the PS trophy is worded fully): you must be in the air with Moon Jump for at least one full second, then do an aerial attack that kills an enemy.

This is relatively easy to do on any regular enemy. Hit them a few times to weaken them while on the ground, if you want, then use your Moon Jump card if you haven't yet. Jump up and let yourself soar, and one the way down attack right as you get low enough to finish them off and unlock this achievement.
  • While Invisible, defeat a human boss with a melee attack.

Invisibility is one of the possible Bullshit cards you could be presented with at the start of a run. If you're just going for this achievement, you can reset runs until Invisibility is an option.

Once you have it,  make sure you save at least one until the end of a run when you reach the boss fight. I'm not sure why the wording of the achievement description specifically says human boss. All bosses are humans aside from Mr Hankey I guess. Fight the boss like normal, and when they get down to around half of one bar left, use your Invisibility card. Make sure you only use melee attacks from then on. Since you're invisible you shouldn't have any problems getting near the boss and meleeing them. Just be quick so your NPC allies don't land the killing blow on the boss.

As a side note, Kyle and Princess Kenny are pretty bad choices for this achievement since they move around so much. Stan can be a little tough too. Cartman is definitely the easiest to melee attack of the bunch. I should note that I got this on Kyle though. Invisibility lasts long enough that you can use it when Kyle (or any boss) has less than half of a bar left, and especially if you come back after beating the game and using Dark Matter upgrades, you should be able to take out that last bit of health while invisible. Just keep at it so your allies don't land the killing blow.

  • Catch an STD from another player.

    *Online viral achievement*

This is a viral achievement, but it isn't as simple as playing with someone who has this achievement unlocked. First of all, the person with the achievement needs to be wearing the Chin Diaper cosmetic item. This unlocks with the achievement and auto-equips, so unless someone manually removes it, they'll have it on with this achievement. Second, this achievement won't just unlock as soon as your join their lobby. The person with the achievement and Chin Diaper needs to be the host, and you need to join their game, and then they need to start a run with you. This achievement unlocks when you draw cards to start the run.

As a result, this is a little harder to spread naturally since it doesn't just automatically unlock if playing with someone with this achievement. I will keep this game installed for quite a while though, so feel free to message me on Live if you need help with this achievement (GT: Necrophage33).
  • Defeat 10 Vampire Kids.

Vampires is one of the possible Bullshit cards your opponents could be presented with at the start of a run. If you're just going for this achievement, you can reset runs until the enemies pick Vampires.

Once they do, start that run and play like normal. As far as I know, there isn't really anything you can do to make the enemies use their Bullshit cards. You pretty much just have to play and hope they use it, and that they choose to use Vampires (sometimes they have two Bullshit cards). Once they do use it, 1-3 enemies will turn into Vampires. They're pretty obvious and hard to miss considering they're flying around with a swarm of bats. Simply kill them to count toward this achievement. The good news is that even if your allies get the kill, it still counts for this achievement. The bad news is you're really at the mercy of a couple layers of RNG here.
  • Kill 3 enemies with cannonballs.

You'll see cannons and cannonballs here and there through the chapters, but I found them to be rare. On top of that, a situation with a cannonball and cannon that also had enemies was rarer still. Literally the only place that seemed set up to get kills with a cannon was right at the beginning of Chapter 5. There is a cannon off to the left while facing the hospital that you can use. There will always be two ranged enemies right on top of the overhang that you can shoot with the cannon. Worst case, if you only get those two, replay the chapter and repeat right at the start to get another kill and unlock this achievement. See my clip below for where the cannonball is.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/fe6RkCUt9S

As a side note, unfortunately, the cannons and Pooplets in the final fight of Chapter 5 don't count for this. As the description says, it needs to be with cannonballs, and those cannons in that boss fight use toilet paper.
  • Fart on 3 Assassins using Fart Escape.

Assassins are the enemies that'll turn invisible and dash around, making them really annoying to fight. My experience is that they can show up during Chapter 1 or Chapter 4 (at least, those are the only two chapters where I fought any). You'll need to go into the run with Fart Escape set up as one of your two powers. Thankfully, this achievement is cumulative. It doesn't need to be three Assassins at once, and it doesn't even need to be three separate Assassins. You can actually do it three times to the same Assassin if it somehow works out that way. Or, you can split it up over different runs. Typically, you'll see more than three in a single run, so just keep your meter charged and use Fart Escape when they're near you.

There are two Assassins guaranteed to spawn in Chapter 5 right after Jimmy gives you your first card and you jump up the shaft. See location below.

  • Revive an ally with a Cheesed Necro.

    Chapter 4

Necros only appear in the middle portion of Chapter 4, on Main Street. You'll need to start a run on Chapter 4 with Cheesing set up as one of your powers. Then, progress to the second half of Chapter 4. You'll hear a comment about Necros being banned but people still playing as them. You'll also notice them casting a spell around nearby enemies. Hang out in the area but don't attack. Let your allies fight and wait for one to get downed. Once that happens, use Cheesing on the Necro so he revives your ally, unlocking this achievement.

It sounds kind of random, and it is to an extent, but as you can see in the clip below, I unlocked this achievement without one of my allies even being downed. They hadn't even spawned into the fight yet since I ran right in and Cheesed a Necro immediately. So, hopefully this is glitchy for others in a good way and you don't need to wait for one of your allies to get downed near a Necro.

  • Heal 150 points of damage with one Totem.

As the description says, with a single usage of Healing Totem, you need to heal a total of 150 HP across you and all your allies. This is quite easy to do without trying even with NPC allies during any boss fight. They will take a lot of damage and go down often. When everyone is low on health, get near them and drop your totem, and you should easily get this achievement. If you're playing solo, you should be using the Healing Totem throughout your entire playthrough since you'll need it, and this achievement will assuredly come naturally. With co-op friends, it's really easy to intentionally group up and do this.
  • You farted. Good job.

Simply press dpad-right.png at any point while playing to unlock this.
  • Finish a map with one extra Rulebook applied.

Refer to Hardcore (30G) for more information.
  • Make 4 enemies Vomit at once.

As far as I know, there are only two ways to Gross Out enemies to make them vomit: the Fart Escape power, or the Radioactive Goo Bullshit card.

Both work equally well. Use either when you have a bunch of little enemies around you and you'll gross them all out and unlock this. I did this right at the start of a new game. Let little enemies surround you and then use Fart Escape to gross them out.
  • Kill an Ent with Bleeding damage.

    Chapter 1 or Chapter 4

Ents only appear in Chapters 1 or 4, and the only way to inflict bleeding damage is by using the Twin Daggers starting weapon. You'll definitely inflict Bleeding on the Ents that you fight in Chapter 1, you just need to make sure one dies from the bleed damage. Keep attacking over and over, then step back when the Ent has low health and let the bleed damage finish it off. If playing solo, you'll need to hope your NPC allies don't take the kill. It's best to do this while there are still lots of enemies present so your allies are distracted.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/9WNYfyT2Hc
  • Increase the Rarity of 10 upgrades to Rare or better.

This achievement requires you to use TP when you find Jimmy during runs to upgrade one of his card selections to Rare or better (meaning the card needs to be at least Uncommon). This is cumulative over all chapters played.

In general, this should come naturally but this is literally the only use for TP in the game, and you should always be spending it to improve card rarity every chance, otherwise your TP is wasted. You can easily unlock this by Chapter 4 if you continually do it, but if you need to grind it out, play Chapter 1. There are a bunch of Jimmy cards. Just make sure to collect lots of TP to use.
  • Acquire a Legendary Upgrade.

Refer to Ultra-Legendary (20G) for more information.
  • Use Event Horizon with your own projectile.

This is another very situational achievement. You need to have the Gravity Bomb power equipped. Rumor is that you also need to have the bow equipped. Then, during a run, you need to get the Event Horizon upgrade card from Jimmy. This enhances your Gravity Bomb such that projectiles shot into it radiate damage.

With that all in place, you need to use Gravity Bomb and then fire your own projectile into it. However, two things to note: as mentioned, rumor is that it needs to be done with the bow. I personally did it with the bow so I can't vouch for the Staff or Wand. Second is that this achievement won't unlock unless you actually damage enemies with it, meaning you can't just do it when no enemies are around. It's relatively easy to do though. Find enemies, send your Gravity Bomb toward them, then fire an arrow into it to unlock this achievement. The clip below shows me doing this.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/cnKah8b67u
  • Defeat 10 enemies with weapon strikes from the air.

Simply get a cumulative total of 10 kills with aerial attacks for this achievement. It's best to weaken enemies and then finish them off with the jump diving attack with the daggers, or the smash with the axe is also pretty strong.
  • Light 4 enemies on fire at once.

As the description says, you need to light four enemies on fire at the same time. Don't even bother attempting this until you unlock the Wand, because the staff shoots way too slow to light one enemy on fire, let alone four.

The Wand is basically a flamethrower, and you'll need to get a group of four or more enemies so you can spray them all. To be clear, you need more than just the red circle over their heads. You need to fill that red circle up so it lights up and they are actually on fire. Unfortunately, enemies in general will beeline for deep snow when they're on fire to try to put it out, so you need to be pretty quick with this. Cards that will helps immensely are the one that increases range and recharge rate, so you can spray farther and longer, and Napalm, which drops fire all over the ground too. Then, it's just a matter of having four or more enemies group up and spraying them, which happens decently often. The first enemies of Chapter 1 are a good option via chapter replay. Below is a clip of me getting this on a random group with no special upgrades.

Secret achievements

  • Dance while reviving an ally.

When one of your allies goes down (it'll happen often, especially during boss fights) there will be a blue ring around them that you need to stand inside to revive them. While doing so, press dpad-up.png to use an emote and unlock this achievement.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/6Za5xRGYfF
  • Defeat Stan within 25 minutes of starting your run.

This achievement requires you to complete Chapter 3 in under 25 minutes from start to finish. This will likely sound pretty intimidating after your first run of this chapter likely took upwards of an hour. However, knowing what to do and intentionally going for this, as well as being stronger after getting Dark Matter upgrades, will make this far easier.

    Here's some prep to do:

    • I recommend putting all your Dark Matter upgrades into the "left" branch from the center, the whole path that increases ranged damage, melee damage, and Pissed Off meter. If you've spent DM on other stuff, refund it and put it there
    • Complete all other achievements before doing this one to maximize how much DM you have
    • I had enough DM to also buy the upgrades to raise the level of weapon upgrade cards. This was very helpful
    • For weapons, pick the Axe and the Wand without a doubt
    • For powers, definitely take Healing Totem to heal when needed. Your second power can be whatever you want, such as a Turret or Drone Bomb to help with damage. Personally, I didn't use any powers other than the Healing Totem
    • Regardless of what difficulty you've been playing on, set it to Easy for this achievement to make things easier
During the run, there are two very key upgrade cards you need to keep an eye out for:

    • Vortex - this is the best card for the Axe. It makes the Whirlwind Attack stronger, last longer, and most importantly, it pulls enemies into it. This is extremely OP, because you can just spam your Whirlwind Attack over and over, sucking enemies in and killing them really fast
    • Chain Lightning - this is the best card for the Wand. It eliminates the need to aim, and it chains to multiple nearby enemies. It will melt through groups of enemies, setting them all on fire, making progression extremely easy
A couple other cards worth looking for and grabbing:

    • Hurry-Cane - this is another good one for the Axe. It allows you to move faster and do more damage
    • Napalm - another solid one for the Wand. This drops fire all over the place while using it, and the fire doesn't hurt you. Great addition, especially with Chain Lightning
Personally, I recommend restarting the run until the weapon upgrade you start with is either Vortex or Chain Lightning. It doesn't take much time to restart runs, and it'll make the run so much easier. I also don't think you need to worry about what Bullshit card you choose. I personally never used my Bullshit cards except for associated achievements, so pick whatever you want.

As for the actual Chapter and its progression, here's how it works. You start with having to complete two random Tests of Strength out out three possibilities. Here are what they can be:

    • Steal the magazine. Grab the magazine, and then you'll be chased by fire. You need to quickly kill enough enemies so that you can open the lock to the next section. This should be no problem with either the Whirlwind Axe attack or the Chain Lightning Wand attack. Defeat enemies as fast as possible and move to the next section. In the final area, you need to activate three generators. Enemies seem to spawn infinitely, so just get "behind" a generator (use it as cover/a barrier) and turn it on while largely ignoring enemies. Only kill ones that are right next to the generators so they don't hit you and interrupt you. After all three are on, immediately get a card and leave
    • Get supplies for Jimbo. This one is probably most annoying. There are three things you need to pick up and slowly carry back to Jimbo, and enemies will be attacking you along the way (infinitely) trying to make you drop whatever you're carrying. Ignore as many enemies as you can, killing only the ones that just won't leave you alone, and get all three things back to Jimbo ASAP
    • Light the bonfires. This is the shortest one. You need to light yourself on fire, and use it to light the bonfires. Ignore literally every enemy, just running by and/or rolling past them as needed. The climb up the construction site is a little weird and easy to mess up and fall, but stay on fire (light yourself again at each fire you light) and continue to look for a glowing barrel to light up. Don't worry about being on fire. It barely does any damage. Enemies do far more, so keep moving and avoid them at all costs
With two Tests of Strength done, you'll have to progress up and across the theater. Ignore the enemies almost entirely as you climb up and cross the roof. When you get to the locked door, finish off the eneies to move on. You'll then be at the boss fight

The boss fight is pretty easy now that you should know what you're doing after your first playthrough. For the first phase, just grab a cannonball and shoot the shield, ignoring everything else going on. When Stan jumps down, use whichever weapon you have the most upgrades with, or a combination of the two. Personally, I just sat back with  use Chain Lightning on him nonstop. His spinning axe attack is really strong, so be prepared to roll away when he uses it, and keep that Healing Totem ready. Keep at him and he'll go down relatively quick, especially with Chain Lightning and/or Vortex.

The 25 minutes is pretty lenient when you actually try for this. I didn't see anything that showed total time when I completed it, but I got it first try (first try going for it) without any issues. Go all in on damage upgrades, beeline for objectives, use the strongest weapons, and keep popping Healing Totem, and you shouldn't have any issues either.

Here's a clip showing how devastating Chain Lightning and Napalm on the Wand can be.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/bJF4kdNmgk
  • Defeat Cartman without damaging any stationary decoy.

    Chapter 4

Cartman is the boss at the end of the fourth chapter, and this achievement requires you to beat the fight against him without YOU damaging any of his snow decoys. To be clear, this does NOT include the giant Bulrog that he summons out of snow. It's okay if you damage it on purpose or accidentally. What matters is the phase where he goes into hiding and spawns a bunch of snow versions of him around the battlefield. You need to not hit those at all. Even better is that it's okay if your NPC allies hit them or even other online players. All that matters for this achievement is that you don't hit them.

Because of this, it's far easier to do this boss fight online with others and just let them do all the work, which guarantees you'll unlock this achievement when the fight is over. If you're playing solo, this is still relatively simple to do. If you get the opportunity for the Minions Bullshit card, take it. Use it during the snow decoy phase, because it doesn't matter if others hit the decoys. Worst case, if you have no online people or Minions, just let your NPC allies attack, and you sit back and wait for that phase to end. Once Cartman reveals himself again, and he's not near any decoys, resume attacking him. When the fight is over, this will unlock.
  • Kill 50 Pooplets in one battle.

    Chapter 5

This takes place during the final boss fight against Mr Hankey. Throughout the entire fight, there will be little Pooplets jumping around coming after you. There are typically a dozen or more onscreen at a time, making it very easy to get this achievement. You can only hurt Mr Hankey with the cannons, so simply don't finish him off until you get this achievement. With the Whirlwind attack with the Axe or Chain Lightning with the Wand (or even just the regular Wand attack), you will tear through these enemies. They all die in one hit, so you'll unlock this achievement very quickly and likely without even trying during this fight.
  • Toot on an enemy faction leader while dead.

To be clear, this achievement requires you to get downed, and then while waiting to be revived, you need to press dpad-right.png to fart on a boss. This CAN be done solo, because when you get downed solo your teammates will try to revive you.

Since this must be done on a boss, you essentially need to be near them when you get downed and then you need to fart on them. There is a decent chance you'll get downed on various bosses, especially if you aren't playing on Easy, but if not, you can force it relatively easily. Kyle and Kenny are bad choices for this achievement because Kyle teleports often and Kenny hovers around constantly. Stan and Cartman are the best choices since they just run around on foot and never move too quickly. If you want to get this achievement, just hang out near the boss and let them down you (making sure your teammates aren't down too before you let yourself get downed), and then crawl over to the boss and mash dpad-right.png to get this achievement as soon as you're close enough.

    https://www.xbox.com/play/media/aKkbBhJnxb
  • Defeat Kyle in his sacred grove.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Kyle is the boss of Chapter 1, and he has a few really annoying attacks. He will send out thorn vines over and over, which you have a bit of time to react to, or he'll just spawn thorn vines from the ground, which are also telegraphed. If you get close, he'll swing his weapon at you. He'll also teleport away if you're near him long enough. It's a pretty annoying fight, and one that's best done with ranged weapons.
  • Defeat Liane at the church.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Liane is a miniboss fight halfway through Chapter 4. She's one of many zombie adults, and then there are a bunch of random normal enemies too. However, this achievement unlocks when Liane herself is defeated, and she has the same health as any other adult, and no special attacks.
  • Become an honorary Marshwalker.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This unlocks halfway through Chapter 3, after completing the two random tests of strength you are given at the start.
  • Defeat Stan at the playground.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This unlocks after beating Stan at the end of Chapter 3. The fight has two phases. In the first, you need to pick up cannonballs from the ground, put them in a cannon, and shoot the shield Stan is using up top. Ignore everything else going on and just focus on cannonballs. With that done, Stan jumps down and you fight him like normal. Beware of his spinning axe attack. It's really strong. He will also jump up and pound the ground. Jump to avoid it. Ranged attacks work great and keep you out of range of his axe.
  • Defeat Princess Kenny at the Town Square Amphitheater.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This is the boss fight at the end of Chapter 2, and it's pretty frustrating. Kenny spends a ton of time in the air. I recommend just using your ranged weapon (hopefully the Staff) nonstop. Don't even try to melee. Keep your distance and spam shots, avoiding the incoming things that charm you.
  • Defeat Cartman in the foothills.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Note: make sure to go for Know Thy Enemy (70G) in this fight.

This fight is relatively easy. Cartman relies entirely on others to do work for him, so he's easy to hit and he takes a lot of damage. Keep away from Bulrog, and the rest is pretty straightforward.
  • Defeat Mr. Hankey.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Note: make sure to go for Clean Underwear (70G) during this fight.

This fight is pretty chaotic at first, but once you know what you're doing, it's actually really short, and easy to ignore everything else going on. All you need to do is chase down a toilet paper pack, marked on your HUD, hit it (use a ranged weapon), then pick it up and take it to a cannon like a cannonball. Aim at Mr Hankey spam shots until you run out. You should only have to do this four times to defeat him.
  • Complete all Infernal Pacts in the run.

After beating the game, you will gain access to Nichole and her Infernal Pacts. She will appear randomly during chapters, and if you talk to her you can accept her Infernal Pact (which makes the game harder in some way) for extra cosmetic rewards.

To be clear on what this achievement requires, you need to beat a single chapter after having accepted all of the available Infernal Pacts in that chapter. You do NOT need to complete all five chapters with all Infernal Pacts, thankfully.

Nichole can spawn in multiple random spots in each chapter, making it difficult to provide a guide for where exactly to find her. There is one exception, however. She only spawns once in Chapter 5, and it's right at the beginning. See clip below of where to find her.

I also recommend using Chapter 5 anyway because it's probably the shortest, and in my opinion, once you know what you're doing, the boss fight is the shortest and easiest. I'm not sure if the Infernal Pact she gives is random every time (I'm assuming it is), but mine was just that Cheesy Poof health drops didn't heal as much, which barely had any impact on the gameplay. If you get a bad one, just return to Kupa Keep and try again. Beat the chapter like normal then after accepting the Pact and you'll unlock this plus A New Rule (20G).
  • Acquire an Ultra-Legendary Upgrade.

Note that these achievements do not stack, unfortunately. Acquiring an Ultra-Legendary upgrade will not unlock Legendary (20G).

These achievements refer to the cards Jimmy presents you with. You need to get a Legendary one (one step above Rare) and an Ultra-Legendary one (one step above Legendary). There is a small chance that Jimmy will present you with a Legendary option. I probably saw three or four during my time with this game. Taking one of those will Legendary (20G), but if you have enough TP, upgrade the Legendary card once to Ultra-Legendary for this achievement. Alternatively, you can upgrade a Rare card, which are way more common, to Legendary, or twice for this achievement. However you do it, you'll need a bunch of TP for the upgrades, but you'll assuredly get opportunities along the way.
  • Use Cheesy Zombies on a Necro.

    Chapter 4

This is a very situational achievement.

First, you need to play Chapter 4 since it's the only chapter with Necro enemies. Second, you need to be using Cheesing as one of your two powers. Third, you need to get lucky that one of the upgrade cards you get either at the start or from Jimmy is Cheesy Zombies, which you can only get if you have Cheesing equipped. Fourth, that all needs to happen before you reach Main Street in Chapter 4.

It's possible but unlikely to happen naturally. However, you can just restart Chapter 4 over and over until Cheesy Zombies is a card option from the start. Then, play to Main Street where the Necros are first introduced. Kill one, then use your Cheesing power on the body to resurrect it and unlock this achievement.
