Introduction:
Welcome to Vostok Inc, a game that mashes together shoot-em-up gameplay in a pseudo open world with sim/management aspects of building an intergalactic money-making empire. You'll fly around various solar systems, landing on each planet to spend your money to build structures. Each structure generates money, and can be upgraded to make more. While flying around, you'll encounter enemies to destroy for more money, asteroids to break, managers to save, bosses to fight, races to complete, and more. Watch as you go from making a few bucks a second to generating $1 quadrillion per second. This game has a very addictive gameplay loop that'll keep you invested (literally and figuratively) from start to finish. The achievements related to the main game are not really challenging or demanding at all, but there are minigames that need to be played, and they are a sharp step up in difficulty, so be aware of that. Let's get started.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The goal of this game is to make money. You need to make money to be able to reach the boss of each solar system, then spend it to open a wormhole to the next solar system. There are two ways to make money:

  • Build structures on the various planets to generate money
  • Destroy enemies, asteroids, loot crates (these are extremely rare) and bosses to pick up the money they drop
My experience was that the latter method (enemies and asteroids) never seemed to keep up with the amount of money I needed to hit the next milestone. Early on it's pretty good, but once to get to the billions, trillions, and beyond, enemies and asteroids never dropped enough to be worth it. You'll therefore want to focus the majority of the money you make on investing in structures on each planet so they generate more money.

That being said, there are other things to spend your money on that are very worthwhile. Weapon upgrades will help immensely, but they're quite expensive early on. I upgraded the starting Machine Gun a few times, then bought the blue laser in the first slot when I could afford it, as it was way stronger. Then, when you can afford the Machine Gun in the second slot, pick that up. I used two Machine Guns to make the Wide Shot, and I used that, upgrading both slots along the way, until I could afford the Machine Gun in the third and final slot. This is when you're set - once you can afford the Machine Gun in the third slot, but the Missiles in the first slot (it's cheapest there) and the blue laser in the second slot (not too expensive). With your three slots consisting of green, blue, and red (in any order), you'll have the ridiculous Laser Unicorn Attack Squad which, in my opinion, is the best weapon in the game. It absolutely ravages bosses and is great on mobs of enemies too. Just spend money on upgrading each slot (whichever is cheapest) which upgrades the overall power level of the weapon (displayed on the weapon itself). I had it up over power level 20 by the time I reached the final solar system, and I was killing everything instantly, and even bosses before they could get more than one attack off.

The other thing to mention is upgrades for the ship and radar. Top priority needs to go to the upgrade that shows Managers on your radar. You can afford it early on, and it's huge. Every time you see a yellow triangle appear on your radar, make a beeline for it. If it's a Middle Manager, it boosts your production by 3%. These add up to eventually 100%, which basically doubles your production across all planets. Or, even better, the yellow triangle is an Investor. These guys can either double your total money instantly (which is the fastest way to make step changes in your total money) or increase your production by 777% (which is almost 8 times your current rate) for nearly a minute, which is still good. You should also grab the radar upgrades for showing where everything is on your radar. It just saves so much time in looking around aimlessly. For your ship upgrades, grab the energy recharge rate as a top priority, as well as reduction in energy usage when boosting. Early on, I didn't think boosting and energy was that important, but I didn't realize that your energy is actually your shield. You don't take damage until your energy is depleted (either from being hit by enemies or boosting to use it up), so having it barely go down from boosting is really helpful, but having it recharge really fast keeps your shield up so you don't take damage. Those are huge for survivability.

As for working your way through the solar systems, build as much as you can on every planet, working your way up to your next most expensive structure. Always be checking the unlock requirements of your next structure, and work on unlocking the next one while you build your currently most expensive one. You should also immediately buy the ATM on every planet so that the money goes directly to you and you don't have to fly to each planet to pick it up. It saves lots of backtracking and revisiting planets. If you can't afford the ATM or most expensive building, that's when I would just go to a planet and idle there. Go make/eat a meal, shower, or do something productive in real life while you leave the game running to generate money. I constantly left the game running while I was eating dinner, playing with my kids, showering, and even left it idle overnight a couple times with a wired controller just to get money while doing something else. This idling isn't necessary, but it cuts down on active time significantly, so I recommend doing it whenever you're not around. The other thing you could do to idle and generate money is work on beating some of the executive minigames, but I don't recommend it. Better to wait until you've saved up tons of gifts before worrying about them.

There's nothing missable and nothing else really to worry about. I describe the gameplay loop and progression in a little more detail in Champion of the galaxy (30G), so you can check that out. Nothing else really needs to be focused on, as the majority of the achievements are cumulative and will unlock with natural progression. Once you get to the final solar system and reach the highest achievement requirement of 1 quadrillion Moolah per second, you no longer need much money. You'll have to reach 10 quintillion for the final boss to appear (Investors are the best way for huge step changes), but you don't need to spend that 10 quintillion on a wormhole or anything. So, once you beat the final boss, you'll have more money than you'll need for anything else. Use that money to buy off the last of the ship and radar upgrades for their associated achievements. Then, it's time to mop up all remaining miscellaneous achievements that you haven't done yet.

Lastly are the minigames. I recommend doing them last because, throughout the course of your playthrough, you'll collects tons of executive gifts. Using them on executives makes them happy, which makes the minigames easier, so it's best to wait until you have more than enough gifts to give every executive to make them all happy, then do the minigames when they're at their easiest (relatively). These are the hardest part of the completion by far, but persist through some of the more annoying ones and you will get better (and lucky, in a couple minigames) and succeed.

If you haven't done the time-specific ones for making money on a Sunday and losing money on a Monday, you can wait those out or just change the time on your console. Refer to the guide to wrap up any other achievements you're missing, and that'll wrap up this completion.

Conclusion:
Vostok Inc is an incredibly addictive game. Even though there technically isn't that much to do, you'll constantly be wanting to make more money, build more stuff, explore more, and repeat, because you're watching your money amass in the corner of the screen at all times. It can be a little tougher in the beginning where you die easily and aren't that strong, but once you get the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad it'll be clear sailing for the rest of the time. The only real obstacle is the minigames (a few in particular) that will make this a tough completion. Keep at it and don't give up, and you'll get that sweet completion, as well as total control over the universe!

There are 45 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • A piece of platinum money can't buy. Complete all special objectives.

While there are nearly 600 objectives in the game, this achievement requires you to complete only the "special" ones, which are the ones with a trophy icon on them. These are the objectives tied to achievements, so this achievement essentially just requires you to unlock all other achievements.

WARNING: If you do anything to prevent completed objectives from saving, that'll prevent this achievement from unlocking. For example, if you unlock an achievement but don't let the game save after the associated objective is marked as complete, you will have to redo that achievement's requirements to get the objective marked as complete. This is especially problematic if you decide to "dashboard" to avoid the negative consequences of any achievements. You won't ever be screwed out of this achievement, but you risk having to redo some harder or longer achievements as a result.
  • Kill 5000 enemies

This is cumulative across your entire time with this game, but unless you constantly destroy all enemies you see, you likely won't have this unlocked by the time you beat the game. I wasn't even close, because once I realized that enemies didn't give me enough money to be worth it, I stopped bothering and had to grind this out. I did it on the first solar system, Sol, waiting for the big enemies to spawn that spawn like 10-20 little enemies. I left the big enemy alive and just kept killing the small enemies it spawned.
  • Build 40 buildings, one at a time, in under 5 seconds

As the description says, you need to be at a planet, pick any type of building to build (obviously making sure you have enough money to buy 40 of them, so go with the Mine or whatever is least expensive), and then you need to mash button-a.png as fast as you can to build 40 buildings in under 5 seconds. It sounds like it should be really difficult, but I had no problems doing it first try. Just wait until you have a ton of Moolah (in the millions), and you should be able to afford plenty of Mines on a new planet to get 40 without issue.
  • Build something on every planet in the Galaxy

Despite being a high gamerscore value and sounding potentially long or challenging, this is a very simple achievement. For the purposes of this achievement, you can build the cheapest structure on each planet, a Mine, but you'll be building far more than that on every planet. The main issue with getting this achievement is amassing the money to access each new solar system to reach all of the planets. I have more information on that in Champion of the galaxy (30G). Refer to that for progressing and reaching all of the available solar systems. Once you have access to them all, it's just a matter of making the short flight from planet to planet in each solar system and building something. By the time you have enough Moolah to reach the final solar system, you'll have enough money to build whatever you want on every planet.
  • Build a total of 10000 extractors

This is cumulative over your entire time with this game. Just to be clear, "extractors" just mean any type of structure, not any specific structure. So, this achievement requires you to build a cumulative total of 10,000 structures across all planets and solar systems. If you're only doing the most expensive buildings, you won't make much progress towards this, but once you have tons of Moolah you'll be able to builds dozens and eventually hundreds of the cheapest structures per planet later in the game.

When I beat the game, I was around 60% done with this. But, in the final two solar systems, I was only building like 10 structures per planet of the most expensive ones, to generate money. So I then went to each one, pressed button-y.png to toggle the building amount to 100 per button-a.png press, and then built 100 of each of the ten or so cheapest buildings (Mine, Farm, etc.) one after another on each planet. I went from 60% on the achievement to done in around 5-10 minutes of just boosting from planet to planet and building 100 cheap buildings in a single shot.
  • Destroy 10000 asteroids

This is a cumulative achievement, and is pretty unlikely to happen naturally unless you constantly stop to destroy asteroids. You'll be destroying 3333 to unlock one of the structures, assuming you're trying to unlock them all linearly, but after that there isn't much impetus to continue to destroy asteroids. You'll therefore almost assuredly need to grind out this achievement after you've finished the story and most other achievements. The best solar system for this is definitely Casin, which has the big cloud asteroids. These don't damage you if you touch them, and they're very easy to quickly destroy in large numbers. Use the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad weapon (green, blue, and red weapons in any order in the three slots) to mow through asteroids extremely quickly.
  • Annihilate the Architect

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

This achievement unlocks upon defeating the final boss of the game, the Architect. Since there are no other story achievements to walk through this game, I will describe the progression here.

Basically every solar system works the same way. You'll start off with making money nowhere near what you need to access the boss. Follow the tips in Galactic profiteering (90G) for boosting production rates. Basically, don't try to save up money for reaching a boss until your production rate is something reasonably close to what you need. For example, getting $1 million for the first boss, don't try to save up until your production rate is in the thousands or tens of thousands. By the time you finish the first solar system, you should be able to afford the radar upgrade for showing managers on your radar. This is pretty crucial, because middle managers increase production by 3% each, up to 100%, and investors have massive impacts to your money. For me, once I got my rates up to a couple orders of magnitude less than the boss requirements (for example, the requirement is for $500 trillion and I'm making around $100 billion per second). I would try to time my real life activities such that I was idling the game at a good production rate, so that when I came back from eating, showering, or whatever, I would have a sizeable amount. If that wasn't an option, I would return to Sol where it's safe and would grind out enemies, asteroids, and especially managers. If you're saving up money, investors are the best way to jump up to what you need to access the next boss/solar system.

Aside from the money, the other aspect is firepower to take down the bosses relatively easily. I switched to a blue laser when I could afford it, then to double green Machine Guns when I could afford the second slot. I then saved up (i.e. didn't spend money on other weapons) until I could afford the Machine Gun in the third slot. Once you can afford that, buy blue in the second slot and red in the first slot, and equip all three colors to have the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad weapon. This is by far the best weapon in the game. Spend your money upgrading each slot, knowing that your upgrades are for that slot even if you change which color is in that slot, and the power level of the weapon is the summation of the levels of all three slots. So it doesn't matter which slot you upgrade. Pick whichever is cheapest, and keep doing this as you can afford them. It makes enemies and bosses so much easier. By the time I reached the final boss, I had the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad over power level 20, and I destroyed the final boss in around five seconds. This makes the fighting aspect of the game a complete cakewalk.
  • Recruit all executives

Executives are a sort of collectible in the game. There are 12 total, two per solar system. Buying the radar upgrade to show Managers on your radar is the only way you'll find these. Every minute or two, a yellow triangle pops up on your radar (once you have the upgrade), and that triangle can either be a Middle Manager, an Investor, or an Executive. You'll need to get an Executive twice, in each of the six solar systems. This is a bit luck based, and you'll likely need at least 4-5 yellow triangles to get both Executives, but possibly more depending on how good/bad your luck is.

The good news is that, unlike Middle Managers, there's no way to lose the Executives you've found (such as from dying). Unfortunately, for tracking, it's not a simple case of the first office (in the upper left on the pause menu tab) having the two executives from the first solar system, the second office being the second solar system, and so on.
  • Fill one room with middle managers

This achievement requires you to collect 12 middle managers. To do this, you'll first need to buy the radar upgrade that shows managers on your radar. This makes yellow triangles pop up on your radar every minute or two. Collect the manager before they die, and it'll either be an executive, a middle manager, or an investor. You're a bit at the mercy of RNG here, but there are only two executives per solar system, and investors are rarer than middle managers, so over time you'll eventually amass 12 of them. The key thing here is that you must not run out of health. If your ship gets destroyed, you lose all middle managers, even if you use your escape pod to return to your mothership to get a new ship without dying.

Don't worry about this so much early on, when it's still pretty easy to die. Later on, enemies will pose virtually no threat and you'll also get an upgrade that makes it possible for managers to "drop" from killed enemies. You should still be grabbing every yellow triangle you see, because they are huge for making more money, but don't sweat it if you die and miss this. You'll need to fill all three rooms with all 36 managers for Desk drone decruiting (30G) anyway.
  • Collect 20 loot crates

You'll learn about loot crates in the tutorial - they rarely and randomly show up, and you need to shoot them with the appropriate weapon to break them open to collect the money inside. I found loot crates to not only be pretty rare, but most of the time when I would see them, I wouldn't have the appropriate weapon to even open them. Thankfully, once you get the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad (as discussed in the roadmap, with any combination of green, blue, and red weapons), since it consists of all three types, it opens all types of loot crates.

What will get you the majority of the way through this achievement is the bosses. Each time you kill a boss, they drop at least one but often up to three loot crates. There are six bosses in the game that you need to defeat, and you can replay any of them for guaranteed loot crates, if you manage to beat the game without unlocking this. Simply return to earlier solar systems and redo the boss fight for more loot crates.
  • Have 1 Billion Galactic production per second

Refer to Galactic profiteering (90G) for more information.
  • Have 1 Trillion Galactic production per second

Refer to Galactic profiteering (90G) for more information.
  • Have 1 Quadrillion Galactic production per second

These three achievements require you to up your money production to crazy amounts. But, like everything in this game, it'll come naturally over time. You'll start off with just building Mines that generate a pathetic 0.2 per second, and work your way up to structures that generate millions, billions, and then trillions per second. Here are some key things to note:

    • In general, you shouldn't save money. If you can afford the most expensive structure you have available, build more of them. As the old saying goes, you need to spend money to make money
    • Spread your expensive buildings across all available planets. For example, if a building costs $10 million to build, building a second one will be more expensive for the same production rate, but building that second one on another planet will be just $10 million on another planet with none
    • From this, what I did was, every time I unlocked a new structure that I could afford, I would return to Sol and build a single on on every planet, then the same on the next solar system, until I had one on each planet in each solar system
    • Constantly work on unlocking the next structure on the list. Scroll over it and chceck its requirements at the bottom to see how to unlock it, and spend your time doing so while money racks up in the meantime
    • Buy the ATM on every planet immediately. You don't want to have to try to keep try of what planets you need to visit to get your money, and spend time backtracking to all of the solar systems and planets
    • Idle your game whenever you need to leave for any reason, such as cooking/eating, showering, running out, etc. The game will continue to rack up money, but only if it's running. Just land on a planet or mothership and let the game generate money while you do other things
    • Collect as many managers as you can. Get the radar upgrade to show managers ASAP, and every single time a yellow triangle appears on your radar, beeline to it to collect it. Middle managers boost your production by 3% each, and once you get all 36 you'll have double the production rates from all buildings and planets
    • Even once you have all middle managers, continue to go for all yellow triangles, because Investors are even more valuable. One type will increase production by 777% for a set time, which is helpful for short term gains, but the second type will instantly double the current amount of money you have. This is huge for making big step changes in amassing money for eitther reaching a new boss, opening a new solar system, or being able to afford the next most expensive structure
    • I found most building upgrades to not be worth it. The upgrades for the expensive buildings are just way too expensive, and you won't have built enough of those expensive buildings for the upgrade to be worth it. Once you have enough money to afford the building upgrades, you'll be on to your next building anyway
    • While waiting for money to generate, you can spend time grinding out enemies and/or asteroids, since they give money and are needed for longer achievements
    • Bosses didn't seem to give me a whole lot of money, and races always seemed to be a pathetic amount, so I wouldn't bother with those
  • Fill all middle manager cubicles, then flush them all out of the airlock while escaping in the pod

This achievement has quite confusing wording. What you need to do is collect 36 middle managers without dying, so that all middle manager cubicles are filled on the pause screen tab, and then you need to let your ship get destroyed.

Considering middle managers are very helpful for boosting production, and having all 36 middle managers means double the total money production rate, I don't recommend intentionally going for this until you're done with everything money-related. Once you've got all the money you need (such as after beating the final boss and having over 10 quintillion moolah left), then you can intentionally go for this.

As for collecting middle managers, you'll be able to see them once you buy the radar upgrade early on that shows managers on your radar. They appear as yellow triangles every couple minutes, and you should make a beeline to them every single time. You need to get 36 without dying, which may be a little tricky early on when it's easy to die, but once you get the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad weapon, you'll tear through every enemy and boss in the game with ease, and the risk of dying is reduced significantly. The other thing that'll help much later in the game is the upgrade called Stowaway that gives a 2% chance for a manager to drop when killing an enemy. I would purposely let the screen-lock battles take place to make more enemies spawn, and then I'd easily get 1-2 managers per screen-lock battle. That, coupled with the random manager spawns, makes this go by much quicker. Once you have 36 (you can pause and check the managers tab to see if all three rooms are full), you just need to let enemies destroy your ship. Preferably do this right by the mothership so you can immediately enter it with your escape pod to get a new ship and avoid dying.
  • Complete 100 objectives

Refer to Halfway there, living on a prayer (90G) for more information.
  • Complete 200 objectives

Refer to Halfway there, living on a prayer (90G) for more information.
  • Complete 300 objectives

There are a total of 594 objectives in the game, and for achievement purposes, you need to complete 300 of them. While it sounds like a lot, you will likely unlock this achievement naturally without going out of your way for any objectives. This is because, not only is every achievement an objective, but almost every achievement is at the end of a string of objectives. For example, the achievement for destroying 10,000 asteroids is an objective, but there's also objectives for destroying 1000, 2000, 3333, and 5000. This is the case for using different weapons (five separate objectives), destroying enemies (many objectives), surviving without any weapons (for Pacifist (15G)), and there are a ton of cumulative objectives for building each of the various structures on planets that you'll unavoidably do, objectives for defeating each boss, opening each new solar system, landing on each planet, etc. I personally never once opened the list of objectives to check any. I completed probably close to 400 without going out of my way for any of them, so this achievement will come naturally well before finishing everything else.
  • Use 4 different weapons

Refer to You're my gun star hero (30G) for more information.
  • Use 9 different weapons

Refer to You're my gun star hero (30G) for more information.
  • Use all 19 weapons

There are a total of 19 weapons in the game, and they are all combinations of the three types of weapons you can have: the green Machine Gun, the blue Laser, and the red Missiles. To unlock this achievement, you'll first need to buy the green, blue, and red weapon in each of the three weapon slots. This requires a ton of money, with the red Missiles in the third slot requiring something like 10 quadrillion moolah. So, clearly this is a very late-game achievement, once you're generating enough money. Refer to Galactic profiteering (90G) for doing so.

Once you've purchased all three weapon types in all three slots, it's just a matter of going into a mothership and equipping every combination, leaving, then shooting with it. Here are the 19 combinations. Remember that the order on the weapon menu doesn't matter. For example, green in the first slot and blue in the second slot is the same as blue in the first slot and green in the second slot.

    1. Just green
    2. Just blue
    3. Just red
    4. Green + green
    5. Green + blue
    6. Green + red
    7. Blue + blue
    8. Blue + red
    9. Red + red
    10. Green + green + green
    11. Green + green + red
    12. Green + green + blue
    13. Green + blue + blue
    14. Green + blue + red
    15. Green + red + red
    16. Blue + blue + blue
    17. Blue + blue + red
    18. Blue + red + red
    19. Red + red + red
There's no way to track which ones you've used, but it takes only a minute or two to cycle through them all.
  • Play without a weapon equipped for 10 minutes

To play without a weapon equipped, you'll need to head to a mothership and cycle your weapon to none equipped in any of the three slots. Then, you need to play for 10 minutes without equipping a weapon. Some important things to note:

    • Pausing, landing on a planet, and going to the mothership all only pause the timer. They don't reset it
    • Equipping a weapon, even if you don't fire it, resets the 10 minute timer
    • Dying (both having your ship destroyed and dying entirely) have NO impact on this achievement. You could literally sit still and die over and over with no weapon, and you'll still unlock this achievement
Since the only thing that resets the timer is equipping a weapon, you'll want to keep away from the directional pad at all times. You'll also want to be careful if you go to the mothership at all, that you don't accidentally equip a weapon. Other than that, it's just a matter of killing time. Personally, I did this late game in the Sol solar system. Enemy spawns are pretty easy to deal with. For example, if it's the enemies that chase you, I simply kited them around in circled while letting time pass. If it's enemies that shoot at you (stationary or mobile), I just moved into position where they couldn't shoot me. It's best to kill time near a planet or the mothership so that if anything goes wrong, you can quickly land to despawn enemies, then leave to resume the timer.

I should note that you should resist the temptation to go after managers while doing this, because if the enemies spawn that create screen-lock battles, you have no way to avoid them or destroy them unless you get lucky and quickly find a planet to land on to despawn them. If a screen-lock battle starts, your only options are to either use the direcitonal pad to equip a weapon, resetting the timer but allowing you to beat the battle, or having your ship destroyed, losing all your middle managers, and attempting to flee to the mothership before you die and lose half your money (but the timer doesn't reset). Keep that in mind, and just be patient and wait it out near a planet or the mothership, and this is easy enough to do.
  • Purchased all radar upgrades

Refer to Ship upgrade elite (15G) for more information.
  • Purchased all ship upgrades

On a mothership, there is a weapon tab, a ship upgrade tab, and a radar upgrade tab. For these two achievements, you need to purchase all upgrades on the radar and ship tabs EXCEPT for four upgrades at the bottom row of the one tab:

    1. The upgrade to ship health
    2. The upgrade to ship energy
    3. The upgrade for how much money enemies drop
    4. The upgrade for how much money asteroids drop
Those four seem endless, and they don't impact these achievements. For all the rest of the upgrades, you need to buy all tiers of all ot them until they say 'SOLD OUT.' This is going to take a ton of money, especially since a few of them require quadrillions of money. However, refer to Galactic profiteering (90G), and by the time you reach that generation rate, buying all of these upgrades will be trivial.
  • Fully upgrade a building

This achievement requires you to build any structure, and then buy all five of its upgrades in the row below it. From playing, you've likely noticed that the building upgrades are incredibly expensive, especially compared to the cost of the building itself. The cheapest building to fully upgrade is the first one, Mine. Even though it only costs $33 to build a Mine, the final upgrade costs a ridiculous $25 million. So, this achievement obviously won't be possible or even practical until much later in the game when you're producing billions per second. Then, fully upgrade the Mine to get this achievement out of the way.
  • Build 400 Government Offices across 10 planets

The Government Office is a structure you'll unlock around two thirds of the way through the game, and it's actually a very efficient building. You'll first get access to it around the time you reach the Vent system, and you'll start by only being able to build one per planet most likely, based on how expensive it initially is. You'll eventually blow past the cost of these, and with there being 36 planets total in the game, you'll need to build around 12 per planet to hit 400. Note that, while the description says 10 planets, it actually means at least 10 planets. This will be a late-game achievement then, once your production rate gets from the trillions into the quadrillions.
  • Remix Vent's song set

This achievement first requires you to reach the Vent solar system. Once there, you'll have unlocked the songs needed for this achievement. Pause the game and tab over to the music tab. From there, you can scroll across the four songs that are now unlocked. Simply highlight each song, click around on the buttons underneath to remix it however, then scroll to the next song and do the same. This achievement will unlock then. Multiple reports say that four songs are required, up to and including the Vent song, but I only messed with two songs and this unlocked.
  • This achievement is tied to the WoodGuy Jr executive minigame, which I believe it unlocked from an executive found only in the final solar system. This is by far the hardest achievement in the game. This minigame has you pressing dpad-left.png and dpad-right.png to ascend a tree while avoiding branches. On top of that, you have an incredibly short timer that gives you barely any time to react or you'll run out of time.

Before really going in on this achievement, play the game a bit and practice to get the feel for it. Also, wait until you have all executives collected and are pretty much at the end game to worry about this. The reason is because you'll have collected tons of executive gifts by then (well over 100 of each). Before using the gifts though, get some practice in the game. This will be really hard and likely feel impossible, but that's because you have no experience and you haven't used any gifts to make the minigame easier. That's the point though. Practice when the game is at its hardest. I recommend spending a decent amount of time on this, and once you can get to 50 or reliably, then it's time for the next step.

With some experience and hopefully tons of gifts and all executives, go to each executives, click on Stats, and give them gifts in each of the three categories until the meter is full. You should see 14% on the top for each executive. Do this will all 12 executives. Now head back into this minigame, and your timer won't drain as fast. You can now go at a slightly more reasonable rate without running out of time. You still need to go very fast, but not ungodly fast the entire time. Don't get me wrong, this will still be the hardest achievement in the game, even with all executives fully maxed on gifts, but at least it's possible now.

As a side note, I have seen recommendations to cover half the screen, or focus on only one side of the screen. This did not work at all for me. You can try it, but I just got down the muscle memory and tore through set patterns (such as when it gives you one branch per side, and you just go back and forth), and would pause for a fraction of a second when the pattern changed. This allowed me to get to around 250 after maybe half an hour of attempts.
  • Score at least 666 in Cave Chopper

Cave Chopper is an executive minigame in the top middle room, and is probably the second or third hardest of the bunch. If you're familiar with Flappy Bird or Flappy Goat, this is a similar concept. The important distinction is that you must HOLD button-a.png to go up, not tap it (I lost a dozen runs before I figured that out).

I found this achievement was largely down to RNG. The level goes from wide to narrow to wide to narrow on a cycle, and throughout that, there are little walls you need to dodge that spawn in a random location. The RNG aspect is that, if you get a narrow level section with a wall right in the center, it's insanely difficult to squeeze through, especially with the horrible hitboxes. I kept getting to 400-500 over and over with a horrible unlucky wall, and then I got lucky with no bad wall spawn and got to 800 right after that. I also found this game easier as it got faster, because when it's slow, you need to hover for longer in tight gaps. Keep at it though, and you'll eventually get a good run where things line up (literally and figuratively).
  • Score 50 in Tapeworm mini game

This minigame is one of the easier ones, thankfully. It plays identical to the old videgame Snake, where you control a long figure that you move around to collect the drops, and the goal is to do so without running into the outer walls nor yourself. Basically, just keep doing big rectangles/squares in the center of the area to pick up the drops. Better to be conservative and just miss them than to turn too late and hit the wall. So, take your time and even though you speed up, there are no obstacles other than yourself, so just slowly work your way through each drop.
  • Score 99 in Balloon Popper mini game

This minigame is the easiest of them all. Balloons slowly float up from the bottom of the screen, and you need to move your crosshair and shoot with button-a.png to pop them. If one reaches the top of the screen, it's game over. For this game, just keep your crosshair at the bottom of the screen and mash button-a.png, moving back and forth to get each balloon. Some move fast, but your crosshair is always faster to catch up and get it. I had no problems doing this first try.
  • Score at least 100 in Aquatic Attack

This minigame is either second or third hardest. It's an auto-scrolling shoot-em-up where two types of enemies come in from the right side, and you need to shoot them to score points. Missing them is fine, as long as you don't touch them. The eyeballs are worth 1 point and the squids are worth 2 points. The diamonds also give you extra points. The challenge is that you fire relatively slow, and can only have a few bullets on the screen at once. Even so, I did this by just mashing button-a.png while moving up and down in a sinusoidal pattern in the center of the screen, and only moved farther up or down if enemies are there. For the first half, it's pretty simple to kill all enemies. Once it speeds up, the squids in particular get decently fast, so unless they come already lined up with you, it's best to just avoid them. All of my deaths before reaching 100 were because I tried to get in front of squids but my bullets didn't come out fast enough to kill them before they reached me. Better to be safe and stay conservative to survive than be reckless and jump in front of enemies, especially once you pass 70-80 points.
  • Kill 99 undead in a round of Zombie Combat

This minigame is definitely one of the easiest. It's basically a twin stick shooter, where zombies will spawn from any side of the screen, and you use the thumbsticks to move and shoot. Unfortunately, you can only shoot either up, down, left, or right, but it's easiest to just move up and down, shooting left and right, and if too many enemies come, get under or above them and shoot up or down at them. I got this score first try will no issues whatsoever.

All of these achievements for exploring each solar system are really easy - they just require you to land on each planet, and that's it. With the (very cheap) radar upgrade to show planets, you can pause and track an individual planet, fly directly to it to get credit for it, then repeat for the next planet in each solar system. Champion of the galaxy (30G) has more information on progressing to each solar system, but for this achievement it's just a matter of landing on all planets.
  • Have four drones circling you at once

This achievement is a very late-game achievement, because it requires you to get the ship upgrade for DERPA drones, which is in the upper right corner and is very expensive. Once you buy it, the way it works is that every set amount of enemies you kill, you get a bonus drone to circle you to help you kill enemies. If an enemy hits that drone, it is instantly destroyed. Therefore, for this achievement, you need to kill enough enemies to amass four drones, all without letting drones be destroyed.

I found this easiest to do in screen-lock battles, especially with the Laser Unicorn Attack Squad weapon where you can demolish enemies without them getting a shot at you. I did this in Sol, and while any can work, the other systems can have enemies with lasers that are way too easy to pick off drones. Stick around the first system and especially if you get a screen-lock battle with just the enemies that try to run into you, this becomes really easy.
  • Fly each Luxury space yacht

Unlocking all of the space yachts just requires you to progress to each solar system. You'll therefore have all six unlocked as part of the story progression, when you reach the final solar system. Once you have them all, pause and switch ships to each of the six different ones. This is purely cosmetic, so just cycle through them all and this achievement will unlock.
  • Beat Vostok 2084

Once you beat the game (refer to Champion of the galaxy (30G) for doing so), you'll unlock this Credits sequence minigame. To access it, pause and tab over until you see the obvious screen-filling credits game. This is a short top-down shoot-em-up auto-scroller. The goal is to get to the end and defeat the boss without losing all five lives and having game over. Enemies just fly down and most pose no real threats. I'm not aware of any reason to try to kill them. Focus entirely on collecting the powerups that drop to give yourself a stronger gun for the boss. Once you reach him, stay conservative because you have almost no invincibility frames after dying. Move to the side to avoid bullets, then swoop back in to get shots in. Once you beat him, you'll unlock this.
  • Completed 10 races

In my experience, races are available until very late in the game. I'm not sure if they can theoretically spawn, but you'll need to make enough money to purchase the radar upgrade to show races on your radar. This is one of the more expensive upgrades (and on top of that, races give you barely any money when you win, so it isn't really making back what you spent), so you won't be buying it until pretty far into the game.

Once you buy that upgrade, races will randomly spawn on your radar as green flags. By the time you unlock this upgrade, you'll likely already have many upgrades to boost, energy usage, energy recharge rate, etc., making all of the races a joke. Just boost little by little to each checkpoint, and you should be able to finish them no problem. I never even came close to failing a race.
  • Reached lvl 25

Leveling up is tied to a couple things, but the main one is building structures. You'll see yourself leveling up gradually as you build more, unlock more structures, and build new ones on each planet. It seems that structures give more XP the more expensive they are, but you're also building a lot less of the expensive ones, so there's that to take into account.

When I beat the game, I was level 18 or so. I had quintillions of moolah, so I then went to each planet, toggled (with button-y.png) to set it such that it builds 100 structures in a single press, and built 100 Mines, Farms, Real Estate, etc., for the first 5-7 structures, on each planet. Within 10 minutes, I went from level 18 to level 26 just from building hundreds of buildings on each planet, making this really quick to mop up later in the game if you don't reach level 25 naturally as you progress.

Secret achievements

  • Make a total of 1 Billion moolah on Sunday

Refer to Galactic profiteering (90G) for getting your money generation rate up well over one billion. Then, you just need to play the game on a Sunday to generate at least one billion moolah.

As a side note, you can do this offline if you don't want to wait for it to be Sunday in real life. First, make sure your console is set as your home console. Once it is, go offline then restart your console. After your console fires up offline, go into System and then Time, and you'll be able to set the date and time. Change the date to a Monday, then launch the game. Once in the game, you'll see the ingame challenge complete for making one billion moolah on a Sunday. At that point, you can go online (while still in the game, if you want), and the achievement will unlock once you go back online.
  • Lose 1 Trillion Moolah in one go on a Monday

As far as I know, the only way to lose money is to die entirely (let your ship get destroyed, then let enemies destroy your escape pod). This makes you lose half of your current money. Therefore, for this achievement, you need to amass at least 2 trillion moolah, then die on a Monday. Refer to Galactic profiteering (90G) for getting up to that level. Even though it may sound like a lot, it'll eventually be trivial. Then, it's just a matter of waiting until Monday and letting enemies kill you.

As a side note, you can do this offline if you don't want to wait for it to be Monday in real life. First, make sure your console is set as your home console. Once it is, go offline then restart your console. After your console fires up offline, go into System and then Time, and you'll be able to set the date and time. Change the date to a Monday, then launch the game. Once in the game, let yourself die and you'll see the ingame objective complete for losing 1 trillion moolah on a Monday. At that point, you can go online (while still in the game, if you want), and the achievement will unlock once you go back online.

    Fly through a sun

As the description says, simply fly through the sun at the center of any solar system. You'll take a bit of damage, but even right at the start of a new game it isn't enough to kill you. Boost through the sun and out the other side to unlock this.
