Introduction:
Welcome to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, a spiritual successor to the TMNT arcade games from the past. This is a beat-em-up game like you'd expect to find in an arcade, and features co-op for up to six people simultaneously. There are two modes: Arcade Mode, which plays like you traditionally would in an arcade, and Story Mode, which has individual levels broken up from a full Arcade Run, along with some collectibles and leveling and such. As far as achievements go, there are many that require co-op, since that's in the spirit of the game, but there are also many that would be very challenging by yourself. They are made markedly easier by having a co-op partner and/on playing online. Bear that in mind when going for this completion. Let's get started.

Story Mode:
I recommend starting with Story Mode. There's no need to play on anything other than Chill difficulty, but choose whatever you prefer. There are 16 episodes to play through, and it's basically the full Arcade Mode broken up level by level, making it very easy to get through even with no experience in this genre. While you play through, break all of the stuff you see, pick up the pizzas, and keep an eye out for collectibles that drop from breakable objects. No need to use a guide at this point, but beat up all enemies and break everything you see and you'll get a bunch of achievements along the way. If you're playing on Chill difficulty, you should have no real problems, but refer to Like the Old Days! (35G) for general gameplay tips if you want/need them. Beating Story Mode should take around two hours, give or take. Beating Story Mode unlocks Casey Jones as a playable character.

NOTE: there are no achievements related to the challenges for each episode. Feel free to ignore them entirely.

After clearing all 16 episodes, it's time to mop up collectibles that you missed. You can see from the level select screen how many collectibles you found. Use that, coupled with the guide in Multitasker (35G) to track down whatever you're missing and unlock a few achievements related to collectibles.

The next order of business in this mode is to see all seven different endings. Simply replay Episode 16 as all seven characters to wrap up Complete Cast! (50G).

You can now knock out any remaining miscellaneous achievements quickly in this mode. The big one is Cowabunga It Is (50G), which is really easy to do with the strategy shown in that solution. You can also take this opportunity to quickly and easily boost Who Needs A Dock? (50G) on Episode 16 with a boosting partner. Refer to that achievement for more information on making that achievement way easier. Lastly, if you didn't get INEFFECTIVE! (35G), do that quickly on Episode 5.

Arcade Mode:
Arcade Mode requires you to play through the game straight through with a set number of lives and continues, rather than breaks between levels like in Story Mode. This mode is where the hardest achievements are, such as beating this mode on the hardest difficulty, beating it without using a continue, etc. This mode will be very difficult if you're attempting to play it all solo and offline. If you're playing online with people, many achievements in this mode can be made significantly easier. I discuss this in more detail in Like the Old Days! (35G) and Master of One Quarter (50G), but basically you can join online games in progress to avoid needing to play through the entire game from start to finish, and still get applicable achievements. Refer to the guide for Arcade Mode achievements, but the main ones are the two mentioned above, and then beating Arcade in Multiplayer will happen naturally when doing the listed methods for those achievements.

Co-op Mop-up:
There are a bunch of co-op achievements, so now is a good time to mop them up before getting into the final step of grinding. Cheering a partner up, reviving, etc., is all quick and easy to do if you somehow haven't done them naturally by this point. Refer to the guide for whatever achievements you're still missing, leaving No need for Mutagen! (50G) for last.

Grinding:
Last but not least is the final grind to unlock No need for Mutagen! (50G) in Story Mode. You need to get all seven base characters to Power Level 10, and this will take around the same amount of time that you already spent doing everything else. At least it's very easy, since you can just replay the first stage on Chill difficulty over and over (although that can be pretty boring). Refer to that achievement solution for more information if needed, but prepare to spend around 8 hours grinding out Power Levels. Once you're done, that should wrap up this completion.

Conclusion:
This is a fantastic game, and perfect spiritual successor to the TMNT arcade games from childhood. It has a great retro feel to it, but enough updates to bring it to the modern age. The gameplay is solid, bosses are varied and fun (although Bebop and Rocksteady show up an awful lot), and playing co-op with friends is so enjoyable. The achievements can be incredibly challenging if you attempt to tackle them solo, but with online play, they become far more manageable. Hopefully you made it through Arcade Mode and the grind of Story Mode. Congrats on the completion!

There are 30 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Complete the Story Mode

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

The Story Mode in this game consists of 16 episodes, which is basically the full run of the Arcade version of the game but each level is a separate entity to tackle. This makes Story Mode quite easy, as each level can be played on Chill (the easiest) difficulty, and you'll have three lives plus continues to beat a single level. Even playing solo with zero genre experience, this will pose no real challenge.

In general, roll behind enemies and/or to avoid their attacks. Save up special attacks (button-y.png) for big groups and bosses. Whenever there is downtime between groups of enemies, taunt with rb.png to fill your special meter so it's full for the next group. Likewise during bosses, if you can taunt between attacks to fill your special, then use a special attack on the boss, you can't be hit or interrupted during a special attack so it's way safer to hit bosses that way.

All of the regular bosses are pretty straightforward: watch their attacks and jump in to attack during downtime between them. The final two bosses can be intimidating but aren't too bad once you know where the safe spots are.

For the Krang fight in the Statue of Liberty, stay right in the middle of the screen (from a vertical perspective) as often as you can. Basically right where you spawn is perfect; don't move up or down. Standing in this position means Krang's fist smash/shockwave attacks will miss you every time. His gun energy ball shots will also miss you. For his head laser blasts, simply roll left and right. When he does his massive laser in the center, just move all the way to the bottom of the screen and he can't touch you. If you're reach is long enough, you can hit him while he's using his laser. If not, take that opportunity to taunt to regain your special meter. Those are his only attacks, so as long as you stay in those two positions (middle or bottom) you should be able to wail away on him.

For the Super Shredder fight, he is extremely aggressive and fast, so don't try to hit him at all except right after he finishes his ground fireball waves. He'll teleport and dash at you to try to grab you (which is a pain to avoid) or he'll just dash around the screen and leave fireballs. Stay in a bottom corner to be safest, and only move if he's coming right for you. After his fireball dashes, he'll send out waves of fireballs. You can try to get between them if you're far away, but it's safer to just jump over them. Jump and attack him as he finishes, and get a few hits in. It won't do any damage, but you need to hit him enough to make him use his energy shield, after which he finally becomes vulnerable for a few seconds. It's a slow fight because of this. Once you get him to less than half health, he'll summon four purple statues. Destroy all four quickly to make him vulnerable again, and just repeat until he's dead.
  • See all of the different endings in Story Mode.

This achievement requires you to beat Story Mode with all seven original characters (DLC characters are not required).

Fear not: you do not need to play through all 16 episodes of Story Mode seven times. Once you've beaten it for the first time, you can simply replay Episode 16 (the fight against Krang and then Super Shredder) with each of the remaining characters.

As a side note, co-op doesn't count towards your total count, unfortunately. This is because you can only see one ending per completion, obviously, so whoever gets the killing blow on Super Shredder is the ending you'll see. For example, I beat the game with a co-op partner, me as Leonardo and her as Donatello, and I was stuck at 6/7 characters done for this achievement, wondering who the seventh was. Turns out it was Donatello, since I got the finishing blow as Leonardo. Bear that in mind if playing co-op (online or couch) for Story Mode.

As another note to that, there is unfortunately no way to track which endings you've seen. On the main menu you can go to Achievements, and for this achievement it'll just show you x/7 for how many characters you've done it with, but not which characters. You'll therefore want to keep a mental note, or just go in order. Thankfully, each run of Episode 16 only takes five minutes on Chill difficulty.
  • Complete the Arcade Mode in Multiplayer.

This achievement requires you to complete the final fight against Super Shredder with at least either one couch co-op partner or one online partner. The reason I phrase it like that is discussed below.

For the purposes of this achievement, you can play on Chill difficulty to make it as easy as possible. It'll take around 1.5 hours to play through Arcade Mode from start to finish. This should pose no real problems, as I was able to do it with my five year old daughter in couch co-op first try with no continues used.

However, one way to make this way quicker and easier is to join someone's game online who is already partway or most of the way through the game. When you go into Arcade Mode from the main menu, choose any difficulty (doesn't matter for this purpose), and when you're at the character select screen, press lb.png to pull up a list of online lobbies. For some reason, it only displays five at a time, so you have to press lb.png to refresh and see five others. Do a quick scan of the five games and it'll show you the percentage complete through the game (as well as difficulty and how many players are in that group). You can jump into any game regardless of how far through the game they are, and as long as you are present when the killing blow is landed on Super Shredder at the end, you'll unlock this achievement. With a team on Chill difficulty, this should pose no problems for people of any skill level.

As a side note, I played this game around two years after it released and I had no problems finding online lobbies at any time of day (7am on a Sunday morning or 9pm on a weekday). Granted, this game is still on GamePass as of writing this guide, but it seems to still be a reliable method of doing this.
  • Complete the Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty.

This achievement requires you to defeat Super Shredder on Gnarly difficulty, which is the hardest difficulty.

This would be quite difficult to do from start to finish, and especially hard playing solo, since losing all your health means you lose a life. In co-op, you can revive each other, which is huge for reducing the amount of lives lost.

However, there is a way to make this far simpler, although it is entirely luck-based: you can search for online lobbies, find one on Gnarly difficulty, and then join them once they're already pretty far through the game. Go into Arcade Mode, choose any difficulty (doesn't matter what you choose since you'll be joining an online game), and then press lb.png to pull up online lobbies. For some strange reason, it only displays five lobbies at a time, so you can continually press lb.png to see more. The difficulty of the lobby is displayed on on the left under the person's tag. Look for a Gnarly one, and ideally join it much later into the game. Check the percentage complete, and just for reference, the game is at 95% complete when the fight against Super Shredder starts, and it won't change until he's beaten.

As a side note, I played this game around two years after it released and I had no problems finding online lobbies at any time of day (7am on a Sunday morning or 9pm on a weekday). Granted, this game is still on GamePass as of writing this guide, but it seems to still be a reliable method of doing this. Gnarly games weren't very common, but over the few days I played this game, I found at least one or two Gnarly lobbies every day (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday), so just be patient.

If you prefer to do this "legit" from start to finish, here are a bunch of tips to help:

    • Play in co-op. If you have no couch co-op partner, at least play in an online public lobby. Playing with another person reduces the difficulty by a massive amount, both because you can revive each other to conserve lives but also because enemies can focus on one of you while the other recovers
    • On the topic of recovering, you should be abusing rb.png to taunt whenever you have downtime between fights. Every time "GO!" pops up on screen to move forward, take a moment for everyone in the group to taunt to fill their special meter so you have a button-y.png attack ready
    • During boss fights, same thing. Any time the boss is doing something where you can't hit him, or is otherwise unable to hit you, spend time to taunt and refill your special. This is far easier to do in co-op too
    • Utilizing the taunts as above, you can then restrict your attacks, especially on bosses, to only special attacks. You can't be hit or interrupted during these attacks, making them perfect for doing tons of damage but also avoiding incoming damage. For example, when a boss is vulnerable, you can usually pull off a combo of regular button-x.png attacks, and then if you try to do another combo the boss will interrupt you with an attack. To combat this, do your normal combo first, and then when the boss tries to interrupt you, do your special attack to interrupt him and do even more damage. This should be your go-to attack strategy for bosses (taunt while the boss does his thing, do a regular combo when he stops and is vulnerable, and then as soon as he tries to strike back and interrupt you, do a special attack on him, then retreat and repeat). I found this was the best strategy to avoid damage on Gnarly
    • Use and abuse button-b.png to roll around. Basically, never walk towards an enemy. Always roll towards them and either chain that right into an attack, or roll behind them any attack. You can roll nonstop and just stop to attack when it's safe
    • Save your special for when 4+ enemies are coming at you at once, or for particularly problematic enemies, such as the black foot soldiers or the large robot enemies that try to crush or grab you
    • On flying enemies (the little bots in auto-scrolling levels), the easiest way to take them out is to use button-a.png+button-x.png to shoot up into the air, and then attack again in mid air with button-x.png. This is typically enough to quickly destroy the small flying enemies. Trying to just jump and attack them is rarely effective, so use the jumping attack to take them out much more easily
    • Never let yourself get surrounded by enemies. It's the quickest way to die. Always roll to one side of them and get them grouped on the same side as you. If you ever are surrounded, that's a great opportunity to use a special attack to clear them out
    • Stay in the center of the screen as much as possible. The "obstacles" the game throws at you, such as cars, stampeding animals, etc., are at least telegraphed on the side of the screen, but sometimes enemies such as the spear-wielding foot soldiers will just come running in from the side with no warning and get a cheap hit on you. These can be really annoying, so stay in the center as much as you can to avoid cheap shots
  • Complete the Arcade Mode without using a credit.

Note that, if you're playing in co-op, this achievement requires the entire group to not use a credit throughout the entire Arcade Mode. Bear that in mind, that you can't just focus on yourself; if a teammate or party members has to use a credit, this achievement is voided on that run. This also applies to online lobbies. For example, if you join an online lobby that is already 95% of the way done with the game, if any of those party members has used a credit at all before you joined, you can't get this achievement in that lobby's run of the game.

That being said, joining a session in progress for an online lobby is still a viable method of getting this achievement quickly and easily, it just relies on luck that no one has used a credit by the time you joined, which you'll have no way of knowing. Joining a lobby that is playing on Chill difficulty with at least two people will at least minimize the likelihood that a credit hasn't been used, since Chill is pretty easy and in co-op they could revive each other. With lobbies still existing two years after the release of this game, you can pretty easily monitor and track online games and jump into a Chill lobby toward the end of a run and hope to get this achievement, but it is going to come down to getting lucky that no one used a credit.

Doing this "legit" isn't bad at all with a co-op partner. Solo, it would be very challenging. Getting through the levels themselves isn't bad considering there are typically two or three pizzas along the way to get you to full health. The problem is that you can't heal during boss fights, so you'll need to beat each boss fight without dying to minimize the chances of needing to continue by the end of the game.

In co-op, this is far easier. To put it in perspective, my very first playthrough of this game was with my five year old daughter, neither of us having played this before, and we beat the game without using a credit. We revived each other numerous times throughout the game, and there were deaths, but we each had plenty of lives and plenty of opportunities to revive each other to prevent deaths. We finished with still two lives each at the end of the game. All of the tips in Like the Old Days! (35G) can be applied here for reducing the likelihood of dying. On Chill difficulty, enemies go down really easily. Bosses can be treated the same was as described in that solution to avoid taking too much damage and dying: taunt during downtime to fill your special, wait for them to rest between attacks, do a normal combo, then use a special attack, then retreat and repeat.
  • Complete a Stage in any mode in multiplayer.

This achievement requires you to complete a single episode in either Story Mode or Arcade Mode with either a couch co-op partner or an online partner. This will come naturally considering so many other achievements either require multiplayer or are far easier in multiplayer, but for the purposes of this achievement, if you have a second controller you can just have them join right at the end of the boss fight of any level, or if you don't have a second controller, you can jump into someone's lobby online and just finish a single stage with them. It can be on Chill difficulty, so this should be no problem.
  • Perform 10 Team Attacks in multiplayer.

Team Attacks happened automatically depending on precise situations you're in. The main one you'll likely see when playing in co-op is that if you and a teammate are standing on opposite sides of an enemy and attacking them at the same time, your characters will do a shell-bump attack, smashing the enemy between the two of you. If you're playing through the game in co-op, this will assuredly come naturally, as it did for me by the halfway point of the game without trying nor really knowing what triggered them.

If you need to force it or go for this achievement specifically, with a second controller you can try to get on both sides of an enemy and press button-x.png on both controllers at the same time. It seems a little random when exactly it'll trigger, but that's the quickest and easiest way to grind out this achievement.
  • Revive a teammate in multiplayer.

As the description says, simply revive a downed teammate in either Story or Arcade, and either local or online co-op. When a teammate loses their health, they'll get a ten second countdown where you need to get nearby and hold lb.png for a few seconds to revive them. Enemies can interrupt this, so try to eliminate all enemies first (button-y.png attacks being especially effective) before reviving your teammate.

If you play in co-op you'll be doing this continually throughout your playthrough.
  • Cheer up the same teammate 3 times in a single stage.

To "cheer up" a teammate, you need to press lb.png to give them a high-five. This will transfer some of your health to them. You need to do this three times to the same teammate in a single stage. The "hit detection" with this seemed pretty finicky to me, as I would be spamming lb.png around my partner until it finally worked. It seems like you need to be facing each other and kind of lined up like you would in real life for a high five, with maybe a step between the two of you. Being right on top of each other never worked, so try to face each other when doing it to get it to work properly.
  • Find all cameos in Story Mode.

Refer to Multitasker (35G) for more information.
  • Complete all of the special requests in Story Mode.

In Story Mode, each episode has a set amount of "collectibles," and your total can be seen from the level select screen. These collectibles fall into two categories:

    • Character cameos, where you essentially free a character and they pop out
    • Tradional collectibles, such as VHS tapes, crystal shards, etc. These are always just inside normal breakable containers
For this achievement and Biggest Fan! (35G) (and Opening an Antique Store? (25G)), you need to find all collectibles in Story Mode (cameos and regular collectibles). Once you find a set of cameos, they will give you a special request to find their collectibles, and once you've found them all you can turn them in. You don't have to wait until you've gotten the cameos to start tracking down the collectibles though.

My experience was that you'll likely find most, if not all, of these naturally. The cameos are always at the top of the screen, either behind a shaking door, inside a chest, etc. Always something relatively obvious. The traditional collectibles are also easy enough to happen across if you just break all the crates and such that you see, which you should be doing anyway to look for pizza to heal. You can always check a level's stats, and if you missed any collectibles, replay it and focus just on hitting everything on the screen. I personally didn't need a guide, and found all collectibles and all but two cameos on my first blind run, and then it took me 5-10 minutes to replay the two stages where I missed a cameo and easily get them.

For a full video guide showing the location of all cameos and collectibles, refer to the video below courtesy of 360GameTV.
  • Destroy 200 breakable objects.

This is cumulative across all game modes and level replays, and will therefore unlock naturally. It's highly likely that you'll unlock this naturally during your complete playthrough of Story Mode. I personally unlocked it just past the halfway point.
  • Perform a 250-hits string.

Your combo count is displayed just under your health, and like many games, it builds as you hit enemies, you have a few seconds between enemies before it ends, and if you get hit it ends automatically. For this achievement, you need to string together 250 hits without losing your combo.

You'll likely get nowhere near this naturally on your first playthrough, but thankfully there is a very easy and reliable way to get this on the first episode of Story Mode. Basically, you can juggle a defeated enemy against a wall endlessly until you reach 250 hits. See the video below for where to do this in the kitchen area of the first episode. To sum it up, when the door opens on the right side of the kitchen, three purple foot soldiers come out and hold ice blocks to throw at you. Defeat two and leave one alive. Bait the last one to jump onto the counter on the left side of the screen, and you stand on the floor against the counter. Now just mash button-x.png. The counter prevents you from moving forward while you attack, keeping you at the perfect distance to endlessly juggle that enemy. Full credit to the creator of the video below.
  • Eat 20 pizzas.

This is cumulative across all game modes and episode replays. Each episode seems to always have two or three set pizzas along the way, and one pizza right before the boss that fully heals all party members. You'll therefore be getting a solid three pizzas per episode, and considering there are 16 episodes, you'll unlock this achievement before finishing Story Mode.
  • Find 5 different collectibles in Story Mode.

Refer to Multitasker (35G) for more information.
  • Bring all characters to max Power Level in Story Mode.

This will be the longest achievement in this game.

In Story Mode, there are seven characters that count for this achievement:

    1. Leonardo
    2. Donatello
    3. Raphael
    4. Michaelangelo
    5. Splinter
    6. April
    7. Casey Jones
Note: The two DLC characters (Unagi and Karai) are NOT required for this, whether you've downloaded them or not.

During Story Mode episodes, the points that character has will be displayed above their health in the upper right corner. Max Power Level requires you to amass 2000 points with a character. How points work is that each regular enemy you kill is one point, each boss you kill is worth 30 points, and then you get a bonus for beating an episode. There is no impact from combo meter, speed you complete a stage, the difficulty, or anything else that I'm aware of. So, the only focus is on killing as many enemies and bosses as quickly as you can.

It's important to note here that the number of enemies in a stage is influenced by playing co-op. However, this is only the case for a second player. When a second player is added, there are more enemies AND they have more health. From three players to six players, there are no extra enemies, just higher health. This means that having two players gives you the most enemies to defeat toward leveling up. If you're doing this by yourself, your second controller doesn't actually need to join the game to get the benefit of extra enemies. You can just turn on the controller, press button-menu.png at the start of a stage, and leave that controller on the character selection options while you play through the stage with your main controller. You'll have more enemies to beat, which means leveling up faster. This also means they'll have more health, but on Chill difficulty this won't really matter. For the boss fight, beating a boss gives everyone in the game the point bonus, so you'll actually want to have that second controller join the game during the boss fight so they get the points too, reducing the amount of replays needed for each character.

As far as which stage to replay, I find the first stage to be most efficient. I can finish it in around 4 minutes and get around 150 per run. However, it's not very exciting, so if you have co-op friends, feel free to just play through the Story Mode with each character rather than grinding.

However you do it, once you get all seven base characters to Power Level 10, this achievement will unlock.
  • Deflect 10 projectiles.

Certain projectiles in the game can be deflected if you attack them. The main ones are the arrows that the archer foot soldiers shoot at you, but some other can be deflected too. I personally unlocked this naturally during Story Mode without even knowing this was an achievement, nor trying to deflect projectiles at all, but in the middle stages there are often archer enemies that show up on the sides of the screen. Attack their arrows to deflect them, and after doing ten cumulatively across both game modes and all replays, this will unlock.

Secret achievements

  • Stop the rogue Channel 6 broadcast in Story Mode.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Refer to Complete Season (35G) for more information.
  • Trespass the royal grounds of NYC sewers and defeat the Rat King in Story Mode.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Refer to Complete Season (35G) for more information.
  • Put an end to Bebop and Rocksteady's run in Story Mode.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Refer to Complete Season (35G) for more information.
  • Retreat the Triceraton empire in Story Mode.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Refer to Complete Season (35G) for more information.
  • Stop Chrome Dome before he can rebuild the old Technodrome in Story Mode.

    Story-related; cannot be missed.

Refer to Complete Season (35G) for more information.
  • Play as Casey Jones.

Casey Jones is unlocked as a playable character upon beating Story Mode for the first time. Refer to Complete Season (35G) for doing that. Once done, you'll get a notification that he's been unlocked. Simply start up a game in either mode and choose him as your character. This achievement will unlock as soon as you load into the game and start the episode.
  • Defeat the Rat King while using Splinter.

The Rat King is the boss of Episode 5. So, if you've played through Story Mode with someone other than Splinter, simply replay Episode 5 as Splinter on Chill difficulty and beat the boss to unlock this achievement. Despite the achievement name, there are no disadvantages to using Splinter in this fight.
  • Win the mini-game in Coney Island.

On Episode 8 of Story Mode, you'll be on Crisis On Coney Island, and around halfway through the episode you'll come to a screen with five balloons on pumps, and you're told to pop the balloon. Attack any of the pumps to inflate a balloon until it pops, unlocking this achievement. I'm not sure that it's possible to fail this, and I don't even think the game lets you move on until you do this, so this is essentially story related.
  • A + B

    50

Finish a boss using a Super Attack.

This achievement requires you to finish off any boss in the game with a button-y.png attack. This will likely be how you're doing the majority of damage to bosses anyway, and will therefore assuredly happen naturally. This was my first achievement in the game. Using button-y.png attacks makes you invulnerable and uninterruptable, so use them often against bosses to do significant damage and avoid some yourself.
  • Throw 16 enemies toward the camera.

This is cumulative across all game modes and level replays. To throw an enemy towards the camera, you need to walk up close to them to automatically grab them. Once grabbed, you need to hold 1LSDown.gif and press button-x.png. Throwing them at the camera is an instant kill for all foot soldiers, so it's actually handy to use this to quickly eliminate enemies on screen.
  • Got hit while performing a taunt.

You perform a taunt by pressing rb.png. This fills your special meter but leaves you immobile and vulnerable for a few seconds while it happens, and you can't stop it once you've started. This achievement simply requires you to get hit while doing it, which will likely happen often during boss fights if you try to refill your meter that way. Simply taunt during any fight and you're practically guaranteed to get hit and unlock this achievement.
  • Defeat Super Shredder without being hit.

As the description says, you need to defeat Super Shredder, the final boss of the game, without being hit. A couple points to clarify:

    • You can get hit by Krang in the fight preceding this without impacting this achievement (even though the ingame challenge for beating the episode without taking damage will fail)
    • This requirement applies to everyone in the group in you're playing co-op, not just yourself. In other words, if anyone gets hit, this achievement won't unlock for anyone in that group
That being said, there are two ways to unlock this achievement: the easy boosted way, or the very hard legit way.

    Easy/Boosted Way
The easiest way to do this is to first beast Episode 16 yourself so you can play it online, and then find a boosting partner online (can't be local). The boosting partner will play Episode 16, beat Krang, then fight Super Shredder. As soon as they land the killing blow on Super Shredder, pause the game. Press button-y.png to enter Party menu, choose to Create A Party, and then invite the person going for the achievement. As soon as that person joins the game, the pause will end (since it's now an online game, so it can't be paused). The person who joined will unlock this achievement immediately. Now simply repeat this process with the roles reversed so the other person can get the achievement in the same way.

Note that, if you don't have a boosting partner, you can still attempt to get lucky by joining an online game. You can scope out the online games and join one in progress in hopes of getting this. One way is to go to Story Mode, after beating Episode 16 highlight it, then press lb.png and it'll search for lobbies on that specific episode. You can then try to join one at the end of the fight and get lucky to unlock this achievement. However, in my experience, I virtually never found lobbies in Story Mode at all. The other option is to track lobbies in Arcade Mode. This mode spans the entire game and isn't just the final fight, obviously, but you can adjust accordingly. Track the completion percentage of each lobby to see where they are. The game hits 95% completion at the start of the Super Shredder fight and stays there until he's defeated. So, continually refresh with lb.png until you find a game at 95% completion (or one you've been watching gets that far), and then you have to try to time your joining to get it right.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The joining of an online session to get lucky ties into the second bullet above, where if someone gets hit, no one gets this achievement. How this works for this method is that, as soon as you load into an online lobby, that's when this achievement starts looking for the fail conditions for all party members. What this means is that, from the time you join the lobby until Super Shredder is defeated, NO ONE can get hit, not just you. This is where the luckiness of the timing comes in, because if you join a lobby at 95% and they're still in the middle of the fight, if they take damage you won't get the achievement. This is why the boosting method above works perfectly: you're joining at a point where it's impossible for the host to take damage. Without a boosting partner, you need to join and hope no damage is taken. Or, if they get hit, you can leave the lobby, wait until you think they've beaten Shredder, and rejoin with the hopes that it's further into the fight and no damage gets taken. This is a complete toss of the dice though, as you can tell from the description. Better to just find a boosting partner and you can do this in five minutes.

    Legit/Hard Way
Doing this legit is quite challenging. Definitely attempt it alone if you want to do it legit, because you definitely don't want to have to rely on others also not getting hit.

Super Shredder has three main attacks:

    • Teleport/dash at you to try to grab you
    • Dash around the area leaving a fire trail
    • Shoot out waves of fireballs on the ground
All three of these attacks are a pain. The first is impossible to predict. I try to roll, but if he decides to dash in the same direction as your roll, he'll still grab you. Best to double jump up or down on screen to avoid this, since he only seems to dash left or right, not up or down. For the second attack, I tend to stay in one of the corners and only move if he's coming in my direction. He seems to go to the corners pretty rarely. For the final attack, it is possible to get between the fireballs so they can't hit you, but it's way safer to just jump over them quickly. He'll finally do his little burst of energy and then be vulnerable to attack. You're basically repeating this over and over throughout the fight, trying not to make a mistake and get hit by one of his dashes or fireballs. Eventually, he'll spawn four purple statues to destroy. These are far easier. You can typically get two on the same side before they start shooting, and then roll across the screen to get the others.

This is still a pain and very challenging though. It'll take a ton of tries, and it's made more frustrating by needing to beat Krang at the start each time before you even get an attempt at Super Shredder. My experience is that practice is about 60-70% of this, and the rest comes down to luck with how he decides to teleport and dash.
  • Cheer up Raphael while playing as Casey Jones.

Casey Jones is unlocked by beating Story Mode for the first time.

Once unlocked, you need to play a co-op game (local or online) where you're Casey Jones and your partner is Raphael. Then, simply press lb.png to high five and unlock this achievement. Obviously doing this locally with a second controller so you can pick the two required characters is easiest. Otherwise, you can check Arcade Mode online lobbies. It shows which characters are being played as in each lobby. Join one with Raphael, pick Casey Jones, and high five Raph when you join the lobby.
