Introduction:
Welcome to Tinykin, an exploration/adventure with a heavy focus on collectibles. This game is very casual, with no enemies or combat whatsoever. It's an open collectathon-type adventure game with gameplay very reminiscent of Pikmin. In this game, you'll find various colored eggs that give you tinykin of the same color, and each color tinykin serves a specific purpose: purple ones move things, green ones stack to make ladders for you, red ones are tossed at things to destroy them, blue ones are used to chain electricity, and yellow ones make ramps. You'll be collecting tinykin all around each area to use to get more tinykin and complete missions for various people. The game takes place inside a house, with you as tiny as some of the bugs and other tiny residential pests. NPCs will give you quests and side quests, and there are things to collect to upgrade your hover ability. All in all, it's a simple game with a heavy emphasis on the art style and gameplay. Let's get started.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The only missable achievement in this game is Sniper (15G). The game literally tells you to do this right at the start during the tutorial, but if you don't throw a tinykin at a tinykin egg, and you finish the entire game and collect all tinykin eggs, you will need to start a new game to get that achievement. Just be aware of it and get it right away like the game tells you to do.
Aside from that, the rest of this completion is really straightforward: each new area/room you come to, your goal is to collect/do everything. That consists of:
- Completing the main missions (displayed in the center, often consisting of multiple objectives)
- Completing the side missions (typically three, displayed indented right under the main missions)
- Collect all museum relics (these are the rewards from above side mission)
- Collect all pollen (the gold bits scattered all over each area)
- Collect all tinykin (in the form of eggs or from breaking crates with them inside)
- Find and talk to Ghasper the ghost/bug
- Talk to Sikaru after collecting the required amount of pollen so that you get another Glide Bubble
Collecting all pollen will require you to do some things required for other achievements. For example:
- Delivering all letters - there are four letters per room (not including the staircase area), and each one you deliver gives you pollen)
- Lighting all candles - there are many (typically around 10) per room (not including the staircase area), and each one you light gives you pollen. Lighting them all in a room gives you a cutscene and then a large 50-pollen reward to collect
- Complete the miscellaneous achievements - there are a couple in each area, and each one gives you a large 50-pollen reward to collect

If you're missing any other miscellaneous achievements, such as But... why? (15G), you can very quickly do them at the end of the game or after beating the game. Once you've gotten all collectibles and all of the above miscellaneous achievements, you'll be done with this completion.
Conclusion:
I found Tinykin to be the epitome of a hidden gem. I knew next to nothing about it before going in, and found myself really loving it despite how simple it is and despite spending most of the game collecting collectibles. The game is really enjoyable to look at, and the gameplay loop is really fun. Exploring never once felt like a chore to me, and I was sad to be done with it when I'd gotten the completion. Some people might get tripped up if they don't do a thorough sweep of each level and have to track down some missing collectibles, but aside from that this is a very easy and straightforward completion, one that I found very fun and would highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the genre. Congrats on the completion!
