Introduction:
Another Crab's Treasure is a shells-like game featuring challenging combat and platforming that is both in-depth and rewarding. In a vibrant undersea kingdom on the verge of collapse, a hermit crab embarks on a treasure hunt to buy back his repossessed shell.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Your focus should be on progressing the critcial/story path first, as you can always backtrack for anything you missed from the end of the story. You can use the Assist Mode in the settings to adjust how challenging the game is or to quickly move through it by using the one shot gun. Utilizing Assist Mode does not negate any achievements.

Mop-Up:
This will consist of any backtracking after completing the critical/story path. You may need to return to areas for optional bosses, like Grovekeeper (50G), Curdled Carbonara Connoisseur (15G), or The Consortium (50G), or to find all the Stainless Relics (Make it Shine (100G)) and Adaptations (Well-Adapted (100G)). To reiterate, you can reload your save after defeating the final boss and go back to any previous areas of the game to find anything you missed.

Conclusion:
Another Crab's Treasure is a 'fintastic' addition to the Soulslike genre, melding the challenge of those types of games with a more colorful and cartoony background that is uncommon for this style. A couple of broken achievements remaining since launch mar an otherwise great experience. Luckily, the developers are aware of the achievement issues and are working on a patch to fix this, so it will hopefully be a complete 1000gs.png soon!

There are 32 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Completed the Path of the Predator.

  • Completed the Path of the True Crab.

  • Completed the Path of the Hermit.

You'll meet the Moon Snail early in the story and can visit the Moon Snail's Domain at any time. The Moon Snail offers upgrades for your crystals, which add additional skills, moves, and stats to Kril. The upgrades are split into three paths, so purchasing all of the upgrades (you can do this all in one playthrough), will unlock Path of the Predator (30G), Path of the True Crab (30G), and this achievement.
  • Begin the treasure hunt.

Story-related; Unlocks after your first visit to New Carcinia for meeting Prawnathan in the Lower Crust and Konche in the Upper Crust.
  • Upgrade your fork to its full potential.

Your fork can be upgraded 5 times at the Hammerhead smith in the Lower Crust of New Carcinia; however, you'll need Stainless Relics to do so. There are 15 Stainless Relics to be found in the game. Below is a video guide showing all of them (Timestamps in YouTube Description).
  • Buy some shell insurance.

Shell Insurance can be purchased at Shell Desires in the Upper Crust of New Carcinia. You can buy shell insurance for any shell you have found with varying prices, which will then cause you to respawn with the insured shell whenever you die. This should unlock for the first time you purchase shell insurance.
  • Fall to your death for the first time.

This will most likely happen from normal progression, especially if you have a tough time with platforming. To get this done easily and without losing progress, turn on the assist that allows you to keep microplastics when dying then jump down one of the many bottomless pits in the game.

Additionally, make sure the assist that negates fall damage is turned off.
  • Shoot a crab with a gun.

At any point pause the game and enter the settings. Then select assist mode and choose "Give Kril a Gun". Your shell will turn into a gun, which you can shoot with button-x.png for one shot kills. Use this shell to kill an enemy.
  • Try on every shell in the game.

There are 69 shells in total to find in the game. A handy list of all shells and general locations can be found below in a video showing all 69 shells and how to find them! (Timestamps in YouTube Description)
  • Learn all Adaptations.

**If you already have all Adaptations and this hasn't unlocked, return to Topoda and reset/purchase Adaptation upgrades, which should force this to register and unlock.**

There are 8 Adaptations in the game:

    1. Bobbit Trap Adaptation - Found in the Sands Between. In the west of this area is a bunch of crab enemies near a cliff. Defeat them to find this Adaptation nearby
    2. Bubble Bullet Adaptation - Found in Flotsam Vale. Awarded for defeating the Ceviche Sisters Boss
    3. Electrocute Adaptation - Found in Flotsam Vale. Awarded for defeating the Voltai Boss
    4. Mantis Punch Adaptation - Found in the Expired Grove. Awarded for defeating the Topoda Boss
    5. Royal Wave Adaptation - Found in the Shallows. Awarded for defeating the Duchess Magista Boss
    6. Snail Sanctum Adaptation - Found in the Unfathom. Awarded for defeating the Petroch, False Moon Boss
    7. Tactical Tentacle Adaptation - Found in the Flotsam Vale. Awarded for defeating the Consortium Boss
    8. Urchin Toss Adaptation - Found in the Lower Crust. Find the Urchin in an alley near the Bottom Feeders Shop and speak with it. Then try to hug it (run into it) to trigger dialogue. Keep doing this until it gives you the Adaptation. Warning: you will take some damage each time you try to hug it

  • Find a certain hero's helmet.

**Possibly glitched as of patch on April 29, 2024. Achievement does not reliably unlock; you might get lucky, but might not**

The Knight's Helmet is found in the Old Ocean. Prior to the Throne Room, you'll ride an elevator to a room with two hermit crabs. After dealing with them head left through a doorway to find a crack in the wall to a secret staircase. At the top is a platforming challenge that will bring you to a small island with a single enemy and the Knight's Helmet. Highly recommend using the assist that negates fall damage during this platforming section.
