Introduction:
Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values. By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there. The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic. Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends. However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.

Play through the story until Marisa's Journey:
There is no difficulty-related achievement, so feel free to play on Normal. There is nothing missable up until the point in the story, very late in the game, when you control a party led by Marisa. This is after "Hero Gathering 6" in the walkthrough on Neoseeker which I used HERE. If you follow along with that walkthrough, you will not miss anything including treasure chests, recruiting party members, etc. You can work on fishing, castle upgrading, and any of the mini-games along the way as much or as little as you'd like, but all those can be done post-game as well. I'd suggest making a copy of this checklist made by user "segagamer" over at TA to use to help you track things. Some of them can be tracked in-game, but it's helpful to have everything in one place.

Just before you go into the section with Marisa mentioned above, make sure you have done the following:

  • Recruited 114/120 characters (only Leene should be showing as missing when you speak with B'baba in your castle. There are 5 more story-related characters after this point, and Leene joins once you have 119/120 characters).
  • To accomplish the above, you need to complete the Beigoma storyline (but not necessarily have collected all Beigoma), completed the Cooking Battle storyline (but not necessarily cooked all recipes), and collected about 140/160 cards from the card game (you can get the rest later, and don't need to even play any opponents yet).
  • The rest of the characters can be recruited along the way in the walkthrough, though some are much more involved than others.
So long as you are currently at 114/120 characters recruited, you can now safely continue on to Marisa's Journey section of the walkthrough and complete the game, at which point we will pick back up and get to the post-game grinding section.

Missing Leene will lock you out of the achievements for collecting all characters, upgrading all weapons, and winning all card game matches, as well as the "Platinum Trophy" achievement for earning all other achievements. These are the only missable achievements in the game.

Post-Game Grind:
Once you have completed the story and recruited all 120 characters, it will now be time to finish up all the large tasks of completing everything else the game has to offer. Here is a breakdown of everything you'll need:

And that should be it! If you have any random miscellaneous achievement left, just reference the guide below to complete those now. As mentioned, so long as you have properly recruited all the characters and not gone past the "point of no return" mentioned above to ensure Leene joins the party at the end of the story, you're golden for the completion and can tackle all the end-game stuff in whatever order and at whatever pace you'd like.

Conclusion:
This was an absolutely brilliant game. If you're a fan of the Suikoden franchise, this was developed as a spiritual successor and you can really feel the love on display. For any JRPG fan, it's a must play.

There are 56 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Unlocked all achievements

    Congrats on your Platinum Trophy!
  • Cleared the game and watched the ending.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Upgraded all allies’ weapons to the highest level.

You'll need about 3 million baqua on hand to complete this task, and you need to upgrade your smithy in town to maximum level (see Town-Building Hero (40G) for info on that process). Once you have the smithy maxed, and every character recruited, you can now upgrade all their weapons to max. Unfortunately, you have to increase each character's weapon one level at a time, so this is a very boring and lengthy process of just watching the upgrade animation over and over. You should have the 3 million baqua needed for this after completing the Hero's Trial (Hero Beyond Time and Space (40G) achievement) as you'll earn a ton of money from that and be able to sell a bunch of the accessories you get from the bosses.
  • Raised Nowa’s level to 99.

As mentioned above in Hero Beyond Time and Space (40G), you'll likely get to Level 80+ doing the normal trial mode, and once you complete that you unlock Endless mode. For some reason, a single fight against normal enemies in here boosted me to Level 99 immediately! I guess they just wanted you to be prepared for Endless difficulty, though there's not much point to continue on after maxing your level as there are no achievements tied to it, unless you need boss drops or enemies for the bestiary.
  • Built a landmark.

See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info. This is one of the things you'll purchase when upgrading your HQ to maximum.
  • Earned 1 million baqua through trading.

The Trading Post feature in the game is largely useless, and extremely tedious. You will make way more money just farming the trials or Unknown Coins and Pocket Watches from the final dungeon. But here we are, achievement hunting and doing it anyway. The guide I found HERE has the best breakdown and farming route for this that I've found. Basically, buy nearly everything from every trading post in the game, then run back through the towns and sell the items to the most optimal spots. Don't pay too much attention to the up and down arrows, as those are only in respect to the prices at that specific town, and different towns have different base prices. The towns mentioned in the linked guide are all the best option to sell to, even if the item has a down arrow next to it at the time. The video below has a nice alternate version of the written guide above as well.
  • Maxed out the Headquarters level.

See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info on this achievement.
  • Opened all treasure chests.

There are no missable chests in the game, so as long as you're following the Neoseeker walkthrough I linked in the Road Map, you should be all set with this achievement. The only thing to mention is that the "Battle Chests" ARE required for the achievement, so if you see a mention of a chest that can show up during a fight, make sure you spend time in that area killing enemies until you find it, and use the "gimmick" to attack the chest until it opens.

If you somehow do not get the achievement once you collect the last chest in the final dungeon, there is unfortunately no way to figure out where in the game you've missed it without backtracking. You can use the video below to find all of them. If you think it might be a battle chest, the second video has all of those specifically. Battle Chest encounters can be repeated, and if the chest was collected already you'll see an open chest during the fight.
  • Completed the Encyclopedia of Enemies.

There are no missable enemies in the game, and you will automatically face every enemy while doing Hero Beyond Time and Space (40G). A full bestiary can be found in the Library of your castle, and in the checklist linked in the Road Map.
  • Appraised items 10 times at the Appraiser’s Shop.

Often during battle you will get "Unknown" items (usually coins and pocket watches) that you can then take to an Appraiser's shop to reveal what they actually are and sell them for money. You'll get dozens to hundreds of these during natural play, so appraising ten of these is a small request.
  • Raised the Headquarters level for the first time.

See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info.
  • Caught all types of fish.

Ah, fishing, what RPG would be complete without it? You will receive your first fishing pole from an old man in the starting town. You can begin catching fish at any of the locations in the game, but some of the harder fish to catch will require upgrades through the town-building system (again, see Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info on that mechanic). You can even build fishing spots in the town which will have nearly every fish in the game available to you, though there are a handful exclusive to spots out in the world. See the checklist linked in the Road Map for what specific locations you may need to visit.

To actually catch a fish, simply begin the mini-game and you will cast automatically, and then simply press button-a.png when the bobber goes underwater. Fish will nip at the line and could pull it under on the first, second, or third bite, so pay close attention to when it full submerges. Because of waves and light reflections, it can sometimes be hard to see. The video below has all of the locations we'll need for this achievement.
  • Collected all runes.

A full list of runes in the game can be found in the checklist linked in the Road Map. The majority of them can simply be purchased, but some of the rarer ones will only come from boss drops during the story and/or Hero's Trial. It is extremely important to make sure if your bag is full at the end of a boss fight you make room and take the rune with you, sacrificing something else. None of these are missable since you can always replay the Hero's Trial and fight the boss again, but missing it the first try just causes wasted time.
  • Collected all runeshards.

Regular runes (needed for The Hero Whom the Runes Smile On (10G)) are equipped to your characters versus these runeshards, which are items used in battle. However, the process to obtain these are the same, which is purchasing most in stores while getting some of the rarer ones from bosses. Once again, see the checklist linked in the Road Map for specific locations of all of them.
  • Cooked all dishes at the restaurant.

This achievement requires that you cook every dish at the restaurant found in your city's Inn (called the Hero's Den). You will find a majority of the recipes by speaking to NPCs in the world and opening treasure chests, though a decent portion are also purchased as rare items in shops or by defeating opponents in the cooking battle mini-game. Once you have collected every recipe, you'll obviously then need to cook one of each. You'll get most of the ingredients from running Guild Missions, and as I mentioned in Town-Building Hero (40G) you'll want to be careful your ingredient storage doesn't max out when you're trying to farm some of the rarer ingredients. Once you have cooked a dish, its picture will go from a grey outline to a color picture of the dish to mark you've made it at least once.

A full list of the recipes can be found HERE, or seen in the video below. The ones listed as "rare items" in shops will not always be available and will show up in blue with a star if they're available. You can only purchase one of these every 30 minutes of in-game time, but you can save prior to checking a shop and if the item isn't there you can keeping reloading your save until it does show up. Wait another 30 minutes before trying this same process for the next item.

The process of getting the remaining recipes from the cooking battle mini-game begins once you have built the Inn (Hero's Den) in your city. After that, you will begin seeing cooks show up at the Inn, standing right next to Kurtz. Speak to them to begin a battle, where you will need to cook three dishes and attempt to impress four random judges from the characters you've recruited. The announcer will generally give you a minor (or sometimes very specific) hint about what each judge likes, but that will generally be in opposition of what someone else likes. It is extremely rare that all four judges will like something, but prioritize hitting a favored food of someone in each round.

A list of all the items that have been found to give high scores in the cooking battle mini-game can be found HERE, but be wary that it isn't foolproof. Once you beat an opponent, you'll need to wait 10 minutes of real time for another to show up. You'll always lose Battle #10 and need to go find an item in the Seaside Cavern to continue the quest. Defeat the remaining seven enemies after returning that item to get the last of the recipes from this mini-game.
  • Created 10 different kinds of objects in the workshop.

The workshop is a facility in your town that can be built in the Drafting Studio once you recruit Syd. From there, just purchase ten different items that are used to decorate Nowa's room and the castle. The cheapest ones just require some basic or middle-tier items that come from the Guild Missions. This facility is located just south of the Inn (Hero's Den).
  • Talked to animals 10 times.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Simply press button-a.png to speak to any animal then times, or a combination of different animals a total of ten times.
  • Bred eggfoots 10 times.

Eggfoot racing and breeding is introduced in your town, built as one of the nodes in the Drafting Studio. I would not bother with either of the Eggfoot achievement until you have Town-Building Hero (40G) as you'll need the best facility and food for the eggfoots to win the races. For this achievement, you only need to breed eggfoots ten times, but you'll want to do it strategically to get the best possible eggfoot for the races. To breed two eggfoots, you need to do a minimum of six races with each of them and exhaust the "Feed" counter to zero. Only when they can't be fed anymore (which increases their stats) are they available to breed, and it takes two to tango. Repeat this process a total of ten times to get the achievement - but as I mentioned, you'll want to do this strategically, so refer to Eggfoot Race Hero (10G) for info on how to get the best breeds.
  • Won all races.

There are a total of 42 eggfoot races to get 1st place in for this achievement. The first batch will go from 1-5 yellow stars, then a second batch of 1-5 red stars. To win the final batch of 5* races, you'll need an Eggfoot with total stats maxed at 3000 and likely A or S ranks in their "adaptability" for each type of terrain. To get one with stats this high, you need to breed pairs of increasing grades. Start by purchasing a large number of Champion Eggs and hatch them by waiting real time or just running a race with any Eggfoot. You can get a max grade of B from these eggs, and you'll want to pay attention to "terrain adaptability" which shows as a letter grade on the terrain type (desert, lava, and mud). Keep breeding these to get higher ranks on all adaptabilities, then breed those until you get an overall S-Rank Eggfoot with all high rank adaptabilities. This one should win the final rounds of races.

More info on racing and the process to create the "Ultimate" Eggfoot can be found HERE. However, be aware that you don't need an S-Rank on ALL adaptabilities. The races tend to be extremely RNG based, and I've seen videos of people winning the final races with C-Rank adaptabilities. My personal final egg that won the last set of races was an S-Rank eggfoot with an A-Rank in sand and mud, and a B-Rank in lava, so you don't actually need an "Ultimate" eggfoot with all S-Rank adaptabilities to get the achievement, but the higher your ranks, the easier it will be - however, getting higher ranks takes longer, so pick your poison.
  • Defeated all beigoma trainers.

Beigoma is basically a Beyblade mini-game where you have to use spinning tops to defeat your opponent's top. There is minimal strategy to it, though the Biegoma's type and drop location have minor effects. Most of the tops will drop from enemies in the game, with the rest coming from the Beigoma storyline, which you can follow along with HERE. You can see a full list of the other NPCs to defeat in the checklist linked in the Road Map. Some enemies in the quest will not battle you until you fight a certain number of the other generic NPCs in the world.

During the battle, try to time your use of the Boost ability for when your opponent is a tiny sliver away from filling their own Boost gauge. They will always use it as soon as it's full, and if both of you activate Boost at the same time, a spin-off with occur with you mashing button-a.png as fast as you can to win the clash. If you win, you do a large chunk of damage to your opponent, while taking none of your own (where normally any bump of the tops will cause damage to both). This is key to winning some of the later battles, even with a full roster of Rainbow tops. Be sure to understand and learn the timing of this mechanic to be successful!

If you need help finding the NPCs to battle outside of the questline, see the video below.
  • Collected all beigoma.

A full list of Beigoma to collect can be found in the checklist linked in the Road Map. Be aware of the one unique Beigoma you can get by collecting all the Gold rarity ones, then speaking to Dr. Croque in your town. This might be your first Rainbow top, which will be extremely helpful in taking down the last few opponents of the Beigoma quest.
  • Defeated all heroes at cards.

The card game in this is fairly simple. There are three sections you can place cards, and the higher total of the cards on each side wins. Hero cards will generally have some unique skills that increase their power if you fill a section with a specific type of cards (all evens, all odds, all different colors, etc). Try to make sure you aim for those combos. Some cards also have abilities to add crowns to the pot, which is what ultimately determines who wins the match. Each "lane" is worth 1-3 crowns on their own, so play your best cards in the 3-Crown lane, but also use your Hero cards to add crowns to lanes you know you'll for sure win. The crowns are separate on each side of the board, so if you add a bunch of crowns and lose a lane, it doesn't give the crowns to your opponent, so there's little risk in going for more.

It's not a very confusing game once you play a few matches. You'll need to have recruited every hero in the game to get this achievement, and it may be less tedious if you defeat a few of the lower-tier heroes each time you return to town. Be sure to start buying some of the card packs once you unlock them to get new and more powerful Hero cards, and update your deck when you do. The video below has matches against all the toughest opponents if you need some strategy tips.

The worst part about this achievement is the time it takes. Every match is about 3-4 minutes each, and there are I believe 126 opponents to beat, so it's just an absolute slog of 8-10 hours.
  • Collected all cards.

Cards can start to be collected once you unlock the card packs for purchase in your town. Once you completely upgrade the town, you'll have four different packs and a Special pack, which has the highest odds of pulling rarer heroes. You can only earn a total of 156 out of 160 total cards by purchasing packs, with the final four cards coming from defeating a certain number of each tier of opponent. Work on Card Game Champ (10G) and you'll unlock the rest. The rarest card to pull from the packs is probably Leene. I was sat at 155 cards for about 30-40 packs before I finally got her, and once I had the best possible deck is when I started in on the other achievement for defeating all opponents, which awards the last four cards for this one.
  • Took first place in all shi’arcraft race classes.

The desert boat races are introduced somewhat early in the story, and you'll quickly find the controls for this are completely broken. Using the left thumbstick as you'd assume, you'll quickly find your craft listing and falling over. However, if you switch to using the D-Pad for sterring instead, you'll be able to manage it. Each race is fairly straightforward, just be sure to collect the powerups and use the boost ability either on a straight section, or just after a large turn to get yourself back up to speed quickly. For the final race, you really need to hit every single boost pad and use your manual boosts at the proper time to win the race. There are only four races to complete, and the video below has the route you should take for all of them.
  • Cleared all mock battles.

Mock battles can be done once you recruit Stadler and build the training grounds in the castle. There are only five of these to complete, and the first three are extremely simple. Just move your armies forward and attack the enemy with as many units as possible. The final two battles are a bit more complicated, so I'll just refer to the videos below for those.
  • Achieved “Epic Success” in all mission tasks.

This achievement is actually bugged in a good way, and only requires a single "Epic Success" result on a Guild Mission. This will result in your party receiving more rewards than normal, and generally happens when you send a highly-skilled party on a mission. For instance, send a party led by Fume on a lumber mission and you should get this first try.
  • Received an ’S’ rating at the theater.

Once you've built the theatre in your castle, you can get this achievement right away. It only requires a single script, which is also required to recruit Clarke (the Star-Crossed Lovers script) - this is all outlined in the Neoseeker walkthrough of course. Once you've built the theatre, go there and begin a production of Star-Crossed Lovers and choose the following characters to play the parts:

    • Narrator: Jorhan
    • Romeo: Leon
    • Juliet: Marisa
    • Father Lawrence: Janquis
Watch the entire play, and the achievement will unlock at the end.
  • Maxed out stowpack and resource bag levels.

See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info, you'll purchase these upgrades along the way.
  • Constructed a hero’s statue at the Headquarters.

See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info, you'll purchase this upgrade along the way.
  • Used a hot spring item to bathe in the hot springs.

You'll find a number of items that can be used wihin the hot springs to unlock this achievement. I don't know that they actually do anything, except one used while Cabana is in the party will result in a unique scene that counts toward Hot Spring Enthusiast (10G).
  • Stayed at inns 10 times.

This one is quite obvious, can be the same Inn ten times in a row in the first town if you'd like.
  • Spent 1 million baqua.

This is a cumulative achievement. I got it while working toward the trading post achievement, but you'll also spend a ton on weapon upgrading and card packs as well.
  • Went to check out allies on a mission.

Once you send a team on a Guild Mission from your castle, you'll want to check the location of where they went. Then simply head to that location in the game and you'll see the group standing around searching for items. The achievement will unlock once your approach them.
  • Dispatched allies from the mission guild for the first time.

You'll be using this function quite a bit to earn upgrade materials and cooking ingredients. See Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info on this process.
  • Attacked an enemy with a hero combo for the first time.

See Hero Combo Master (10G) for more info.
  • Foraged items 250 times.

Foraging items just means collecting something in a dungeon or world area. Grab some bones, stone, tree, etc. to get upgrade materials or cooking ingredients. You'll likely be grabbing everything you see to help you upgrade your facilities early in the game until the Guild Missions really start filling up your warehouse, so this should come naturally.

Secret achievements

  • Collected all 120 heroes

For this achievement, I'll once again point to the Neoseeker walkthrough that I linked in the Road Map. The big check to this achievement is that it requires you to have 114 characters recruited prior to a specific point in the story, which is mentioned multiple times in the walkthrough, and there are a few characters that can possibly be missed permanently (a few have been fixed in patches, but I think Aleior is still required to be recruited before a separate, earlier story event as well). It's best just to follow along with the walkthrough than try to read a guide that has all 120 characters listed out individually, so I'll avoid that lengthy mess here.
  • Unlocked all development panels in the Drafting Studio.

The Drafting Studio is run by Iris just to the right on the inside of your personal Castle/HQ (which you can name whatever you want and that's what will show up in your fast travel). You need to eventually upgrade your HQ to Level 4, and then purchase all the nodes at the Drafting Studio to build every amenity and level them all up to the best versions to unlock this achievement. Many of the upgrades will require a specific hero to be recruited so they can run the store or operation, but we'll be doing that anyway for Last One to Appear (100G).

Once you unlock the ability to do Guild Missions, be sure to assemble teams and have them running to continue earning rare upgrade materials, or press button-y.png on one of the nodes to see what other locations in the game you could farm the required materials. If you're getting resources in the wild, they respawn every ten minutes of real time. The guide located HERE has a good list of which characters to make party leaders for the best chances of success and additional materials from each mission, which take 30 minutes of real time each.

Later in the upgrade path you can purchase the ability to Convert resources from one type to another, so if you need those final Sacred Tree Chips or Orichalum, you could use that. But it's just as easy to leave your game running for a few hours and let the Guild Missions do the work for you. Be sure to pay attention to how many resources are stored in each category, as you may max out on cooking or building materials, at which point you'll want to see some of the older types that you won't use anymore to make room for the stuff you actually need.
  • Passed all trials at the Proving Grounds.

The Proving Ground in mention here is completely different from the story location of the same name, and is better known as the Hero's Trial. These trials can be started inside the "Mysterious Room" that can be built in the basement of your Castle through the Drafting Board (see Town-Building Hero (40G) for more info on that process).

Once you have the room built, interact with the red rune on the wall and speak with the person inside to begin the trials. I wouldn't bother doing this until you've completed the story and are around Level 60 or so. Also be sure to check out the builds for Leene and Momo I mention in Hero of Destruction (10G) as this will allow you to one-shot all the groups of mobs and maximize your damage against the bosses as well. Each round consists of two fights against normal monsters and then a boss, and once you complete all 25 rounds you'll face off against the game's super-boss, the Ancient King.

You will likely be around Level 80+ once you complete all the rounds, which is plenty to take on the final boss in Round 26. You are allowed to take a break and save your progress every five rounds, but you also get healed to full every five rounds, so there's not much reason to stop unless you need to buy items to restore your MP (you get plenty of HP and resurrect items as rewards after each fight), or you just have to take a break from the game in general. Make sure that when you defeat a boss you make room for whatever items they drop, as there are a number of runes and runeshards required for those respective achievements that only drop in the trials, and if you abandon the items, you'll have to repeat the entire trial to fight that boss again for the drops.

Note: You will fight every enemy needed for Know Thy Enemy, Know Thyself (10G) throughout the 26 rounds of trials, but be aware of the boss fights against Astrea and Goblomancer, as you can technically kill those main enemies without killing their respective summons, Slaosha and Letus, respectively. Those summon enemies are needed for the bestiary achievement, so try to kill them first.

Story related and can not be missed.
  • The night before the battle, on the castle rooftop appeared...

Story related and can not be missed.
  • Used “Auto” for 100 turns in battle.

The "Auto" option is available right from the start of the game, and will likely be your go-to for the majority of basic battles. This allows your party members to automatically select options based on your battle settings, which can be changed to focus on different things for the entire party at once, or for each individual member in the settings. Simply use this during basic battles in dungeons that you don't need to use any specific strategy on until it unlocks. You'll likely do this for the entire game, so no worries here. I changed my global settings to where my party would not use any actions that cost MP, just so I could avoid managing that with items later on.
  • Activated 20 different hero combos.

Hero Combos are introduced in the first dungeon of the game, and are combo attacks performed with two or more party members, assuming you have the appropriate amount of SP available for each character. You will unlock more automatically throughought the story as new members join, and considering there are 120 party members to collect, that is a lot of combo options, so getting 20 unique ones will certainly not be an issue. There appears to be 50+ total in the game. See HERE for a list of all possible combos.
  • Maxed out a weapon’s level for the first time.

See I Love Weapons! (60G) for more info.
  • Triggered 40 different hot spring events.

The Hot Spring is another facility you will build in your town (see Town-Building Hero (40G)) and will allow you to have your characters relax, often getting a unique scene depending on which characters are in your active party, and which you have recruited. There are a few "missable" events that require your HQ to be at a specific level, but there are 50+ events possible and we only need 40, so no worries there. Do be aware that some characters can not be placed in your active or support slots, and are simply required to be recruited to show up in the event. Similarly, if there are two characters required for an event that both go in the support slot, simply placing one of them will suffice and you'll still trigger the event. A full list of events and required characters can be found HERE.
  • Dealt over 3,000 damage in a single turn to an enemy.

I found this to be extremely easy against the Chimera boss in the Proving Grounds (Hero's Trial). There is a gimmick in this fight that allows you to shoot a cannon for 1000 damage. Make sure you use Leene's rune attack and whoever your mage is (Momo or Isha) should use Inferno Pillar on the same turn. Those will likely get you the 3k alone, but use whatever best attacks you have with the other three characters as well for an extra buffer. I found this video helpful to max out Leene's capability and this one for Momo. I got the achievement at Level 68 I think, so once you max out Nowa and company it becomes even easier.

You could also use the alternate method in the video below which has a character like Yusuke who can "charge" their attacks for two turns and unleash that on the same turn as two mages with Inferno Pillar and a few other attacks. This should work against nearly any boss in the Proving Ground.
