Ten Foot Bunny - Moon Mission Meister glitch post

Introduction:
Heelllooooooooooo Traveleeeers! Welcome (back) to the third installment in the completely excellent Borderlands franchise. In Borderlands: Pre-Sequel you can expect much of the same explosively ridiculous combat coupled with the equally ridiculous amount of weapons and loot items. The achievements are largely similar to the previous games and should not pose much of a problem for the majority of Vault Achievement Hunters.

As of release there is a glitch relating to Moonstone. Full details on how to do this can be found in This thread, but basically you can acquire an infinite amount of it. Even if the game get's a patch to fix this you will still be able to do it by clearing your cache and playing offline. This will help immensely with unlocking 'Moxxi's Sampler' and 'Lunar Looter' sooner rather than later as you will need 480 to unlock these 2 achievements. You can also purchase character upgrades with Moonstone and you'll need 600 Moonstone to buy them all. Note that you max out at 500 Moonstone, so you'll need to spend some to get more to be able to afford all of the upgrades.

Doing this glitch may help you shave quite a few hours off your 100% completion time as you will not need to keep looting Moonstone.

Be aware that there are two missable achievements, "Who You Gonna Call?" and "Guardian Guardian." For "Who You Gonna Call?" you will need to complete a particular side mission in four player co-op. See it's description for full details. For "Guardian Guardian" you will need to make a choice during a side mission to get the achievement. Choosing wrong will not unlock it. See it's description for full details.

Regarding the potentially missable achievement "Vault Hunter Superior," it should not be missable but some people are reporting that they somehow managed to finish the final mission without ever encountering it. Killing the Opha Superior is one of the final mission requirements, so you should come across it and kill it, but if you have somehow missed it, DO NOT enter the Vault without first having found and killed it to be sure you haven't missed it.

Regarding the glitched achievement, "Moon Mission Meister," it seems this achievement may not unlock if you complete some of the side missions while playing co-op. You can find details in This post. To have the best chance to avoid the glitch you should do all of the missions in your own game as host and turn them all in yourself.

Step 1 - Normal Playthrough:
Well, as you would imagine, begin the game. As stated in the above roadmap, you do not choose a difficulty but the first playthrough is technically classed as the 'Normal' playthrough. Enemies aren't that difficult and will not usually exceed the mid-late 20's in levels. You yourself will likely be around that level as you complete the game for the first time. During this playthrough you should concentrate on as many of the miscellaneous achievements as possible, although you can always return to this playthrough to complete anything that you may have missed.

Be sure to complete all of the side missions for "Moon Mission Meister" as your progress will not carry over into your True Vault Hunter Mode Playthrough and you will have to do them all again. They are much easier on the Normal playthrough. You will need to discover areas that are only accessible during certain side missions too for the various "Discover all Locations..." achievements.

Step 2: True Vault Hunter Mode Playthrough
You unlock 'True Vault Hunter Mode' after completing the game for the first time. This mode is essentially New Game + and the enemies will be at a higher level all the way up to level 50, except the Invincible bosses who will be 2 levels above at level 52. You will need to play through this second playthrough in order to reach level 50 yourself as you will not be able to do so in 'Normal' mode. It is theoretically possible, but it would take you a monumental amount of time to do so. You will also need to play this mode to defeat the 'Invincible Empyrean Sentinel' for the "The Bigger They Are" achievement as you will have to be level 50 to even stand a chance against it.

In this mode your character along with all of your weapons and equipment will carry over but the campaign progress will be reset as you are essentially starting the game again with your high level character.

Step 3: Alternative Characters
You are going to have to play the game as all 4 characters as each one has an achievement tied to them and their action skill. You can do this first and begin the game with each character and play until you unlock their specific achievement, then switch to the next character if you so choose. Doing it this way may give you a better idea of how each character plays and you can then decide on which one you will use for your full playthroughs.

Alternatively you can do this after you have done everything else, quickly getting them unlocked especially if you have little desire to use any of the other characters.

Step 4: DLC - Holodome Onslaught
Welcome to the Holodome! This wave survival mode will have you battling against the biggest and finest enemies that the Moon of Pandora has to offer. There are only three achievements and they can be done in a single sitting. one of the three achievements can prove to be a little tricky but nothing too difficult, especially for the Borderlands veterans among you.

To begin the DLC, after downloading it, you will be able to fast travel to a location called 'The Holodome.'

Step 5 DLC - Claptastic Voyage:
Welcome to the magical world of Claptrap's mind. In Claptastic Voyage you will be sent into the mind of Claptrap tasked with retrieving valuable code for Handsome Jack.

You can expect more of the same Borderlands humour and gameplay, along with a familiar looking set of achievements, including the dreaded wave defence achievements. Not to worry though as they are mostly very easy and straight-forward and can easily be done in a single sitting.

Be aware of the missable achievement "Wheely Fast" and see it's description below for details on how to avoid having to play through the DLC again to obtain it.

To start the DLC go to a fast travel station and travel to a location called 'Deck 13 1/2.' Note that you should be around level 30-35 to play this as the enemies begin at around level 31.

Link to the post with the DLC achievements can be found Here.

Conclusion:
So, if you played the previous two, you're looking at a relatively similar list of achievements, which are certainly manageable for any lone ranger to solo, but again will be more fun and a lot easier if you decide to go through the game with friends.

If you would like to find people to help you on your journey you can always consult the achievement boosting thread, found Here.

There are 63 achievements with a total of 1370 points

  • Completed 30 side missions.

See "Moon Mission Meister" for a full list of side missions and where to obtain them.

  • Completed all of the side missions.

    (18)

You get side missions from various characters that you meet along the journey, as well as from mission boards. Whenever you notice a yellow exclamation mark on your map you should investigate it immediately as it is a side mission. You do not have to do them right away but if you pick them up as soon as you notice them you'll have them in your journal ready to complete.

Some of the side missions will appear in your journal as 'Undiscovered' so you know that you need to go and pick it up from whichever area it is in, but not all of them do this. You should check back through all of the areas every so often to be sure there aren't any that have become available without you knowing.

Note that some side missions take you to certain areas that you otherwise would not go to, so doing them all ensures that you get all of the secret areas for the achievement 'Cosmic Completionist'.

Below is a list of all of the side missions in the order you acquire them and where from. I've noted in the lists the side missions that pertain to their own separate achievements.

NOTE: The mission "Picking Up the Pieces" is located in the Lunar Launching Station, NOT in Research & Development like the game says.

GLITCH (AND SOLUTION): There seems to be a possible glitch with balancing missions between other people's games. The host of the world you're in will get the achievement, but you won't. This has affected some players who have completed all missions, but not everyone. If you want to keep playing with your friends or co-op partners and don't want to suffer from the glitch, you must turn in the final mission in YOUR OWN GAME. Turning your final side mission in other people's worlds seems to be what is causing the glitch to occur for some people.

  • Use the grinder to create an item.

    (3)

You unlock the ability to use the grinder after finishing the side mission 'Grinders' which you get from Janey Springs after finishing the 'A New Direction' story quest. Then you just need to make a weapon combination in the grinder to unlock the achievement.

  • Defeated the Invincible Empyrean Sentinel.

    (22)

After you have completed the story you can fast travel back to Concordia and there will be a new side mission available, 'The Bestest Story Ever Told'. You will need to travel back to Eleseer where you defeated the final boss to find this new Invincible version of the boss in it's place that you then need to defeat. Good luck and if you need people to help you with this, consult the Achievement Boosting thread found Here. Note that you need to defeat this boss, completing the side mission to also unlock the "Moon Mission Meister" achievement.

NOTE: The boss will be level 28 on Normal Mode no matter what. So, if you are having trouble with him, try progressing in your second playthrough so you are a higher level with higher level gear and then returning to Normal Mode to defeat the boss with out any trouble.

The achievement will unlock after killing the boss on either playthrough.

  • Revived 10 players with oxygen.

    (6)

You will either need to play in Co-Op with a friend or otherwise have a second controller with a guest account to unlock this achievement. You will need to have your partner or second controller stand out in the open and wait until their Oz has ran out as well as their Health being depleted, then you will have the option to revive them with Oxygen by pressing . Repeat this 10 times and the achievement is yours.

This would be best done in one of the Oxygen bubbles that you can find around the maps. Have your partner or second controller stand just outside of the bubble while you wait inside it. You can do this with your second controller using a brand new level 1 character who doesn't even have an Oz kit, it will still offer you the option to revive with Oxygen.

It takes ~3-4 minutes for the level 1 character's health to fully deplete, so this method should take you ~30-40 minutes. It also costs you ~50-60 Oz to revive your partner with Oxygen, so keep this in mind and try to have your main character inside an Oxygen source.

  • Killed 100 enemies with Wolf.

    (4)

Wolf is the action skill of Wilhelm. You need to reach level 3 in order to unlock it and you can start to use it immediately to kill your enemies. It will be weak at first so you will need to upgrade it for it to be viable in combat. Otherwise you can shoot enemies until they have but a slither of health left, then use the action skill for an easy kill.

If you're desperate, you can save and quit to make the enemies in the first area of the game respawn so you can kill those enemies over and over again for the achievement.

Kill 100 enemies with this action skill and the achievement is yours.

  • Killed 100 enemies with Aspis.

    (8)

Aspis is the action skill of Athena. You need to reach level 3 in order to unlock it and you can start to use it immediately to kill your enemies. It will be weak at first so you will need to upgrade it for it to be viable in combat. Otherwise you can shoot enemies until they have but a slither of health left, then use the action skill for an easy kill.

If you’re desperate to get this achievement, you can get this by saving and quitting at the first area in the game to respawn the enemies to get this achievement as quickly as possible.

Kill 100 enemies with this action skill and the achievement is yours.

  • Experienced all Vault Hunter Modes using Vault Hunter.EXE.

    (40)

Vault Hunter.EXE is the Claptraps action skill. You unlock this as with all characters at level 3 and can immediately begin using it. How it works is that when you activate it, the game will evaluate the current battlefield conditions and assign an appropriate temporary battlefield 'care package', although this is mostly a random outcome. You will need to be level 25 with the Claptrap to have enough skill points to unlock the .EXE modes through the skill trees. After getting to level 25 you can unlock and trigger the modes in 1 of the skill trees, then re-spec your character and do the next skill tree, then again for your third and final time.

There are 9 default modes that are available from the beginning, 2 of which require that you are playing in Co-Op and are marked as such below:

    • Funzerker - Dual wield weapons
    • Shhhhh... Trap - Turn invisible and a minitrap to distract enemies
    • Miniontrap - Throw down turret
    • Blightbot - Send out a flying claptrap with fire/corrosive damage
    • Mechromagician - Send out flying Punkbot, which distracts and melees
    • Meat Unicycle - Melee weapon with a buzzsaw
    • Rubber Ducky - reflect bullets and bounce
    • Med Bot - shoot laser at teammates to heal them (co-op)
    • Nonsensical Sacrifice - revives teammates that are currently down at the cost of your own life (co-op)

6 abilities can be unlocked by putting points into Claptrap's skill trees. There are two abilities in each tree:

    Boomtrap: (Left Tree)

    • Torgue Fiesta - Rapidly throws out grenades; put a point into I Am Rubber, You Are Glue.
    • Pirate Ship Mode - Cannons appear in four corners of your screen and fire; put a point into Livin' Near the Edge.

I Love You Guys!: (Middle Tree)

    • Clap-in-the-Box - Claptrap holds a bomb that detonates; put a point into Kick Him While He's Down.
    • Gun Wizard - greatly increases fire rate and reload speed for team; put a point into You're.. GOING TO LOVE ME!!

    Fragmented Fragtrap: (Right Tree)

    • One Shot Wonder - gun magazine will empty with one shot; put a point into Tripleclocked
    • Laser Inferno - disco ball will fire lasers at enemies; put a point into Rainbow Coolant.

Experience all of these with the Claptrap and the achievement is yours.

  • Killed 10 enemies in a single activation of Showdown.

    (5)

Showdown is the action skill of Nisha and you will need to reach level 3 in order to unlock it. You will need to invest in a skill called 'Ruthless' which is in the 'Fan the Hammer' skill tree. For each point invested into this you will get 0.1 second added to the time of Showdown for each kill you get while it is active. You will want at least 3 skill points added to it to have enough time to kill 10 enemies, meaning that a level 6 Nisha will be necessary for this achievement. The best place to find 10 easy to kill enemies can be found in the video below.

Huge thanks to 'Predni' for the video:

  • Had Purple-rated gear or better equipped in every slot.

    (2)

All of the equippable weapons and items in Borderlands are color coded. White is the lowest quality, while Orange is the highest. Purple, which you need for this achievement is the second highest quality gear in the game and is very rare.

For this achievement, you need to have a Purple or rarer piece of gear in each slot. That means a purple or rarer weapon in all 4 weapon slots, class mod, oz kit, shield, and grenade mod.

All of these will most likely be found with natural exploration and looting, but you might have to farm a bit for a purple class mod. I suggest buying that as the item of the day at one of the vending machines to speed up this progress.

If you're having trouble finding Purple rated gear, consider looking for help in the achievement boosting thread, found Here as someone may be willing to trade you for them.

  • Completed level 1 of all challenges with a single character.

    (43)

If you open your Journal in-game and scroll to the right you will find a list of challenges that you can complete. Doing so will give you points to your 'Badass Rank' which will allow you to add permanent upgrades to your character.

You can hover over any of the challenges to see what they entail. The majority of challenges have 5 levels, with some having as few as 1, but you will only need to complete the first level of each challenge to unlock this achievement. The challenges that have only 1 level are not required for this achievement.

There are 2 challenges that only unlock after you have completed all 5 levels of a specific challenge. The first is a Shotgun challenge called 'Over Achiever' and you need to have completed all 5 levels of the Shotgun challenge 'Take It All!' to unlock it. This requires that you kill 750 enemies at point blank range with a Shotgun, so try to be conscious of this while using Shotguns.

The other challenge that needs to be unlocked is the Rocket Launcher challenge, 'Missile Magnet' and you will need to complete all 5 levels of the challenge 'Collateral Damage' to unlock it. This requires that you kill 200 enemies via splash damage with a Rocket Launcher so try to be conscious of this when using one.

Although you need to unlock these 2 challenges, you will accumulate towards them before they are unlocked so that when you do unlock them, you may have already done multiple levels.

  • Reached level 5.

    (1)

    See "Space Lord" for details.

  • Reached level 10.

    (1)

    See "Space Lord" for details.

  • Reached level 25.

    (3)

    See "Space Lord" for details.

  • Reached level 50.

    (16)

In order to level up you will need a lot of xp which can be gained from killing enemies and completing missions. You will need to complete the game once on Normal mode to reach the mid-late 30's, as enemies in your first playthrough will peak at this level, then you will need to begin the New Game + mode (True Vault Hunter Mode) to continue to level up beyond that. This achievement will likely be one of your last achievements to unlock, so you can set it to the back of your mind for the most part and concentrate on everything else.

NOTE: When playing with other people, you will not get XP for turning in the mission. Hence, I would recommend helping people kill the final boss. I was able to fly through level 49 by playing the last mission in it's entirety with 3 other people.

  • Tried all the Moxxtails in the Up Over bar in Concordia.

    (6)

There are 8 Moxxtails in her bar in Concordia. They are all lined up on her bar and can be purchased at any time with 10 Moonstone. They are essentially temporary perks and each last a whopping 30 minutes. You will need a total of 80 Moonstone to have purchased them all, so try to keep a note of which ones you have used in order not to waste another 10 Moonstone on any.

It is worth noting that although you can only have 1 active at a time, you can buy them all at once one after another, as when you buy the next it will over-write the previous, so if you have 80 Moonstone you can do them all at once without having to wait 30 minutes between each one.

See this thread for the best method on how to get moonstones infinitely. If/when this glitch gets patched, you can keep doing it by clearing your cache and playing offline.

Huge thanks to 'Predni' for the video:

  • Looted 10 Moonstone Chests.

    (13)

Moonstone chests are just loot chests but they require 40 Moonstone to unlock and reveal the goodies within. Loot 10 such Moonstone chests and the achievement is yours.

When you find one such chest you can open it, save and quit, then re-open the same one, which will save you from having to find 10 unique chests. If you happen to have 400 Moonstone you can get this achievement relatively quickly on the same chest.

A good chest to boost for this can be found at the end of 'Titan Robot Production Plant' where you defeat 'Rampant Felicity' during the mission 'Let's Build A Robot Army'. When you fast travel to the area it will only take you a few minutes to run to the opposite end of the map. At the back of the room where you fight Rampant Felicity there are 2 shutters that open after you defeat her, one has a fast travel behind it, the other has the Moonstone chest. Run to it, open it, save and quit, then repeat until the achievement unlocks.

See the thread linked in the achievement “Moxxi’s Sampler” for a glitch on how to get infinite moonstones.

  • Discovered all names locations in Serenity's Waste, Triton Flats and Stanton's Liver.

    (16)

This achievement is self explanatory. You must discover every named location in the listed areas, THIS DOES NOT MEAN JUST UNCOVERING THE MAP. Some locations you might not think to look:

    • In Serenity's Waste, go up the stairs to the left of where you spawn. Follow them outside. Then, once you are outside, look to your right and jump onto the oxygen patch right there. Then there should be a long piece of metal in front of you, so jump on it and follow it all the way. Then, when you see another piece of mountain to jump on, proceed to do so. Then jump into the lava cave and land on the rocks located at the top of the lava-fall. Then jump down the hole to find the location.
    • In Stanton's Liver, run through the map until you get to the bridge. There is a cave connected to this bridge. Go into it and keep left until you see an opening that you can jump into. Platform into it, and then follow it to the end. A location should pop when you follow the cave to end.
    • In Stanton's Liver, follow the route described in the last bullet point. When you get to the end, the location called "Higgin's Gully". On the floor in front of you, you should see a bright purple pillar in the middle of the room. Walk into it to be transported to another location (this is personally what I was missing for the achievement).
    • In Triton Flats, look at your map and search for the map exit to Vorago Solitude. There is a location right in front of that map exit, which is easy to gloss over.

I recommend going for these achievements after you complete all the side missions, as some locations are inaccessible until you complete certain side missions.

  • Discover all names locations aboard the Helios Space Station.

    (9)

To unlock this achievement you will need to uncover all of the greyed areas of the map in the Helios Space Station. You will only get full access once you reach the story mission 'Home Sweet Home' and will need to have gotten to the final stage of the story mission 'Eye to Eye' to have discovered everything.

The Helios Space Station encompasses 'Hyperion Hub of Heroism', Research and Development', 'Jack's Office', Lunar Launching Station', Veins of Helios' and 'Eye of Helios'. Note that some areas will only be discovered through doing side missions on the Helios Space Station, so be sure to do them all to have discovered everywhere.

  • Discovered all named locations in Outlands Canyon, Outlands Spur and Vorago Solitude.

    (6)

This achievement is self explanatory. You must discover every named location in the listed areas, THIS DOES NOT MEAN JUST UNCOVERING THE MAP. Some locations you might not think to look:

    • In Vorago Solitude, there is a Snick-It player who gives you a quest called "The Don". Right behind him, there is a section of buildings, and the small building sticking out on the left is called the "East Pumping Station, and it DOES count towards this achievement. (This achievement popped after finding this location for me.)

I recommend going for these achievements after you complete all the side missions, as some locations are inaccessible until you complete certain side missions.

  • Discovered all named locations.

    (20)

    To unlock this achievement you will need to find every named location in the game, including all of the above locations for the other location-based achievement. A list of all the areas you will need to fully discover is as follows;

Discover every section of the map for all of the above locations and the achievement is yours.

  • Unlocked 10 Customization items.

    (1)

The customization items are the skins and unique heads for your character as well as the vehicle skins. You find these as random loot and occasionally as quest rewards. You will have them put into your inventory when you acquire them so you'll have to 'use' each one by selecting it in your inventory. As you 'use' your tenth customization item, the achievement will unlock.

This achievement can seemingly unlock prematurely, but if you have a previous save from the first 2 games, or both, you will receive bonus items at the beginning including some customization items. These DO count towards this achievement, so if you do have previous saves then you will need less than 10 for the achievement to unlock

  • Won a duel.

To unlock this achievement you will either need to play in Co-Op or have a second controller with a guest acount playing in your game. Have one of the characters melee attack the other and then the other character melee attacks back to initiate the duel. Then with the charcater you want the achievement for, kill the other player and the achievement is yours.

  • Had a Lost Legion Eternal kill 3 of his friends.

    (14)

To unlock this achievement, you will need to attack a Lost legion Eternal without killing it to force it to evolve during combat. There are 2 ways to do this.

You can get one to change into an Eternal Unstable/Instability (both names do the same thing). After you have them in this state, they will explode after a few seconds. You will need to lure 3 enemies near him and hopefully they are in it's blast radius when it explodes. The form they change into is seemingly random so it may take a few tries to get the right evolution.

The alternative way to do this is to get one to evolve into a Eternal Magus and they will shoot purple energy at you. If you try to position an enemy between you and the Eternal Magus they will be damaged by the splash of the Magus' attack. Try to have 3 such enemies killed this way for the achievement.

You can find the Lost Legion Eternals in the area Vorago Solitude and Tycho's Ribs.

Here is a video guide by 360GameTV:

  • While airborne, spin 360 degrees then got a kill with a Sniper Rifle without using the scope.

    (27)

Pretty much as ridiculous as it sounds. It shouldn't be too hard as the lack of gravity in the game means you will have a lot of time in the air. The difficulty lies in hitting the enemies with your sniper after your 360 degree spin.

There is a good place to get this achievement quite early on, but it is a little temperamental. Play through a few missions - mainly Springs sides - until she gives you 'Tales from Elpis'. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to complete and the award is a sniper rifle.

Now head out around the corner from the base and find a Kraggon Pebble. Double jump in the air do a spin a little over a 360, so either a 540/720. The Kraggon Pebble should 99% of the time be directly below you, so look down and shot for a 1-hit kill and the achievement.

Besides this, most simple enemies will count and you can always wait until you're a high level then return to one of the earlier stages of the game for a guaranteed 1 hit kill.

  • Used the Grinder to create a Legendary item.

    (9)

To unlock this achievement you will need to put two Orange guns and one Purple gun into the Grinder as well as Moonstone. This will give you a Legendary item which will be the same as the Purple you put in. To find recipes that will work in the Grinder please consult This thread.

  • Shattered three frozen enemies with a single slam attack.

    (16)

To unlock this achievement you will need to freeze 3 enemies at once. You can do this by having 3 enemies gather near a 'Cryo Vine' which you can find in the frozen areas and when you shoot them they explode and freeze whoever is near-by. When you have the 3 enemies frozen you need to jump up then hold to slam back down, shattering the enemies all at once.

It would be easiest to do this to 3 Kraggon Pebbles or 3 Torks as they both charge you and only melee attack you. You should be able to lure 3 of them near to a Cryo Vine then shoot it and slam them for the achievement. You may need to have leveled up a tad to ensure your slam attack is powerful enough to shatter them, or to have a better Oz kit than you started with.

A good strategy for this achievement using a Laser gun. Later on in the game you can do a side mission called 'In Perfect Hiberbation' and during this mission you are given a gun called 'Lazlo's Freezeasy' which is a very low damage Laser gun but has a huge chance to easily freeze enemies. You can acquire this gun then leave the area and look for a group of Kraggons or Torks, freeze 3 of them with ease then slam attack them. Be aware that after completing this mission, you lose the gun so try to do it while the mission is active.

  • Had an enemy frozen, corroded, ignited, and electrocuted at the same time.

    (13)

There are multiple ways to unlock this achievement, but the end result is the same. You need to have all 4 status effects on a single enemy at one time.

You can try to do it the most simplistic way and have 1 of each weapon type equipped and try to ignite/freeze/corrode/electrocute them but you likely won't have enough time especially if you can't get one of the status effects to happen. It is theoretically possible to do it this way, but it's probably the most difficult.

Another way you can do this is to use Athena. In her Ceraunic Storm skill tree there is a skill that you can unlock called 'Smite'. Basically when you're airborne and shoot at an enemy a bolt of fire and lightning shoots down from the sky and this has a chance to ignite/electrocute the enemy. With this you can then equip a freeze weapon and jump then shoot an enemy trying to freeze them and hoping that Smite ignites/electrocutes them and then quickly switch to a corrosive weapon to try and corrode them while they're frozen/ignited/electrocuted.

You can also do it with a team. Have one person use a gun of each element and blast away on a tough enemy. I personally did this with a team using the stalker who eats the guy's key card in the "Science and Violence" story mission in R&D.

You can use Fragtrap's "Rainbow Coolant" skill (bottom of the far right tree). This will ignite, corrode, freeze, and shock an enemy with one button press.

You can also use barrels that do the various elemental effects as well as grenades, slam attacks and shield Nova explosions.

Huge thanks to 'Predni' for the video:

  • Pancaked an enemy in the Stingray.

    (4)

The Stingray is a vehicle that you unlock during the story mission 'Intelligences Of The Artificial Persuasion'. The vehicle is a hover bike and you can hover upwards then slam back down as an attack.

To unlock this achievement, you need to do this slam attack on an enemy and kill it in the process. This is easily done on a Kraggon during the earlier stages of the game. This can also be done on a bandit vehicle, just be sure to shoot it first to bring it's health all the way down before slamming it for the kill.

Huge thanks to 'Predni' for the video:

  • Suffocated for five continuous minutes without dying.

    (9)

For this achievement you will need to survive in the oxygen starved outdoors of the moon for 5 whole minutes after your Oz has ran out without replenishing it. The best way for this would first to be a rather high level so that you have a lot of Health, and also that you have a Health Regeneration perk active from a Class Mod or a Co-Op partners Class Mod. As long as your Health Regeneration exceeds your slow oxygen starved death, you will survive forever in this state. Do this for 5 minutes and the achievement is yours.

You can obtain this achievement as you discover Moxxi's bar in Concordia. The drink costs 10 Moonstones, and it is the one called “Squill Syrup”. And it will give you a 0.8% health regeneration for 30 minutes. Go somewhere where there aren’t any enemies after taking the drink and remove your oz kit. The health regeneration will cancel out the damage, so you can stand there for five minutes and survive.

This CANNOT be obtained using ClapTrap as he is a robot and thus does not require oxygen to survive.

    (1)

    Story related, cannot be missed.

  • Defeated the Opha Superior.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

The Opha Superior is an enemy boss that you fight during the mission 'The Beginning of the End' in the area 'Eleseer' and you just need to kill it for the achievement. This is not a difficult enemy at all, just blast away at it and when the 'Putti's' come in to try and heal it, kill them and resume shooting the Opha Superior. Personally I killed it with my shotgun before the Putti's had the chance to heal it.

Another method on taking him out is to make the group hostile and then running back to the door leading to the area where you fight him. The group will follow you back, but you won’t be shot at by the turrets every second. Simply pump him with bullets (recommend a shock weapon) to deplete his shields and then hit him with your best weapons to take him down with minimal frustration.

Note that some people are reporting that they somehow managed to miss this achievement, so when you are in Eleseer where the Vault is at the end of the game, DO NOT enter the Vault without first finding and killing the Opha Superior. Just look everywhere around the area, it's only small.

  • Defeated the Empyrean Sentinel.

    (1)

    Story related, cannot be missed.

The Empyrean Sentinel is the final boss in the game and you kill it at the end of the story mission 'The Beginning of the End'. The boss has 2 stages with the first being harder. You will need to destroy it's shield 3 times as each time you destroy it's shield it becomes immune to damage and recharges it's shield, but the third time you destroy it, it will not recharge and you can take down it's health to defeat the first stage.

The second stage is a lot easier to do. The boss will transform into a three-headed giant and you will have to take down the shield and health of each head. The boss has surprisingly little health so if you have decent weapons this shouldn't pose much of a challenge, but it does do some attacks that can take you almost to death in very short time, so try to keep moving and jumping to avoid it as much as possible. I would leave the smaller enemies as they do little damage to you and you can use them for 'Second Wind' should you be killed.

Kill the Empyrean Sentinel and the achievement is yours.

  • Completed the mission "Return of Captain Chef".

To unlock this achievement you will need to first complete a precursor side mission called 'The Voyage of Captain Chef' that you can find in Triton Flats after the story mission 'Let's Build A Robot Army'. Then later on in the game when you are able to travel to an area called 'Vorago Solitude' you can find the mission 'Return of Captain Chef', which is the mission you need to complete for this achievement.

Both times the mission is identical. You need to hoist a flag while Captain Chef salutes it. You will be attacked and have to kill 15 enemies and you will have to keep restarting the hoisting of the flag, as well as prop Captain Chef up with a broom when he starts to get tired.

Upon turning in this side mission, the achievement will unlock.

  • Delivered Zarpedon's message.

    (3)

To unlock this achievement you will need to complete a side mission called 'Don't Shoot the Messenger' that you can find in the 'Tycho's Ribs' area. It's a pretty basic mission that will take the best part of about 10 minutes. Turn it in for the achievement.

  • Removed Excalibastard from the stone.

    (4)

Excalibastard can be found stuck in a stone in the 'Stantons Liver' area. You will need a Badass Rank of 2500 or over and you will only get the gun once, so it may be best to wait until you are level 50 so that you get the best possible version of it.

As you enter the area from Triton Flats, look on your map and notice at the top of the map there are 2 small areas not connected to the rest of the map. Excalibastard is at the tip of the most northerly area.

Huge thanks to 'Predni' for the video:

  • Completed the "Sub-Level 13" missions with 3 other players.

    (313)

This achievement is missable. Do not complete this mission without 4 other people if you want this achievement.

The first of the 2 'Sub-Level 13' mission is obtained from Pickle in the Outlands Canyon after completing the story mission 'Home Sweet Home'. The second Sub-Level 13 mission is obtained upon turning the first mission in. You will need to complete these 2 missions with 3 other players to unlock this achievement. If you need some people to play with, consult the achievement boosting thread found Here.

Note that you can do this with 2 people both using a second controller with guest accounts logged in.

Tip: At the end of the second Sub-Level 13 mission you can choose who to turn the mission in to. If you turn it into the 'Fast Travel' in the area where you finish the mission you can keep the unique 'E-Gun' which is extremely good. If you turn it in to Pickle you get an average Grenade Mod, so I would turn it in to the Fast Travel for the E-Gun.

  • Saved the Guardians from the Scav Poachers.

    (8)

This achievement is missable if you choose incorrectly at the end of the mission.

To unlock this achievement yo will need to complete a side mission called 'Guardian Hunter'. You can only get the mission when you have completed the mission 'The Beginning of the End' and thus completed the game. You will find it in 'Vorago Solitude' given to you by 'Sterwin'. Complete the mission being very careful to choose correctly.

You will be tasked with capturing 1 of each type of elemental guardian and after doing this you will need to go to a 'Drop Off' point and deliver the specimens. When you get there however you are given a choice of how to complete the mission. You can Kill the Master Poacher, saving the Guardians and unlocking the achievement, or you can give the Guardians to the Master Poacher. Of course for the achievement you will need to kill the Master poacher. When you attack him he'll be joined by a handful of Scavs, just kill them all and the achievement is yours.

  • Completed the mission "To Arms".

    (3)

This side mission is found quite early on in the 'Triton Flats' area. You need to find 50 common rarity weapons, which are the White weapons and donate them into a mailbox. You will likely not use White weapons after the beginning so you won't need them and they are hardly worth selling, so every time you see one, pick it up then when you get the chance or when your inventory is full, go and deposit them into the mailbox. After every 10 weapons you deposit you will be given another task to do in the mission, but it is usually a short task within the area where you deposit the guns.

After you have deposited all 50 guns you will need to travel to Concordia and witness the 'revolution' that you are now solely responsible for. Turn it in for the achievement.

NOTE: The weapons MUST be white and they have to be guns. Shields, Oz Kits, and Class Mods do NOT count towards the counter.

  • Launched 4 rockets from Elpis.

    (7)

This achievement is tied with completing a various selection of side missions that all involve launching rockets off the surface of Elpis. The missions you must complete are as follows:

    • "Wiping the Slate" - found in Concordia AFTER completing the story mission "A New Direction"
    • "No Such Thing as Free Launch" - given by Cosmo Wishbone in Triton Flats
    • "Home Delivery" - found in Concordia AFTER completing story mission "Watch Your Step"
    • "It Ain't Rocket Surgery" - Found in Research & Development AFTER completing the story mission "Science and Violence"

After completing the four side missions listed above, the achievement will unlock. Take note that there is no set order that you have to complete the missions, so you can complete the missions in any order you desire.

  • Opened Zarpedon's Chest.

    (7)

To unlock this achievement you will need to complete a side mission called 'The Secret Chamber' that you will from Davis Pickle in Outlands Canyon. You can only acquire this mission after defeating 'Bosun' during the story mission 'Inteligences Of The Artificial Persuasion'.

You will need to find 3 Echo devices to open the door to Zarpedon's secret chamber, revealing her chest. The first Echo device (Echo #3) you can find if you back track a little bit until you are in the security room. The just outside the security room underneath the front window some enemies will spawn out of a door. Kill them and one of them will drop the Echo for you to pick up.

The second Echo device (Echo #2) can be found above the Chamber that you are trying to enter. You reach this area by first jumping on to the top of the small container building next to the jump pad in front of the chamber door with the yellow tubes coming from it. From the roof of this building look up and back towards the way you came to see a ledge that you can boost jump up to. From this ledge you will need to jump onto the very thin wall (be careful) that separates the area where you are and the area where the Chamber door is. From here you should be able to see a small area above the Chamber door with some beds and consoles as well as the Echo. Jump to here and pick it up. A Lil' Badass Scav will spawn.

The third Echo device (Echo #1) Can be found across from the Chamber. If you use the near-by jump pad to get across the chasm, the go into the elevator shaft and look up, on the side of the elevator above you can see a green glowing console. Shoot it. Then return to the jump pad and shoot the power box that it connected to it and use the jump pad, doing a boost jump as you reach the height of the jump to land on the upper most of the 2 ledges in front. From here look right and on the elevator you'll find the third and final Echo device.

Return to the door and enter to unlock this achievement.

DLC: Holodome Onslaught

There are 3 achievements with a total of 125 points

  • Complete all 5 rounds of The Holodome.

    (14)

As you can imagine from the achievement description, there will be five rounds to complete. The mission, 'Digistructed Madness: Round 1' will be obtainable from the new area, 'The Holodome.'

Each round will consist if between four and six waves of enemies, so kill all of the enemies in all of the waves to complete the round.

    • Round 1: 4 Waves
    • Round 2: 4 Waves
    • Round 3: 5 Waves
    • Round 4: 5 Waves
    • Round 5: 6 Waves

After turning in the mission after beating the sixth Wave of Round five, the achievement will unlock.

  • Complete the Badass Round of The Holodome.

After beating the first five Rounds of the Holodome, you will be given another mission 'Digistruct Madness: The Badass Round.' This is effectively a sixth round but all of the enemies you will face are Badasses.

This sixth Round consists of seven waves, so complete them all and turn in the mission for the achievement.

  • Complete the Badass Round without going into Fight For Your Life.

    (5)

The Badass Round is available after completing the first five rounds of the Holodome. It is replayable, so if you go into Fight For Your Life let yourself die, then restart the round.

I would recommend attempting this achievement on the 'Normal Mode' playthrough as the enemies will be capped at or around level 33 and you can bring in your level 50+ character to destroy everyone with ease. Be careful not to fall as there is a pit in the center of the arena which will kill you outright if you happen to fall into it.

DLC: Claptastic Voyage

There are 10 achievements with a total of 245 points

  • Kill 10 SpyBugs before they take your photo.

    (3)

You will first see the SpyBugs in the location 'The Nexus.' They do not always spawn and hae a pretty low chance to do so, so seeing 10, much less killing 10 without the taking your photograph is unlikely to happen through natural progression. Luckily there is a spot that will spawn them on occasion that you can grind the kills out at.

In 'The Nexus' if you make your way to the Recycle Bin area that you first visit during the mission 'File Search,' two enemies will spawn every time to re-visit the area. Most of the time it will be AdBugs, but on occasion SpyBugs will also spawn there. Basically, go to The Nexus, make your way to the Recycle Bin and see the two enemies that spawn. If they're SpyBugs kill them quickly as they are materializing in front of you, if they aren't then save and quit, then load your game back up and run back there, it isn't far from where you spawn in. Rinse and repeat until you've killed 10 of them.

They are pesky enemies and if you don't manage to kill them quickly enough they will become invisible and circle you for a few minutes before they reveal themselves to try to snap a photograph so if this happens, you're better just saving and quitting and trying again.

These enemies will also spawn in the 'l33t h4X0rz' arena missions, but again they are few and far between so you're better off grinding them at the Recycle Bin in The Nexus.

Kill 10 before they snap your picture, shown by your screen flashing bright white for a moment and the achievement is yours.

Secret achievements

  • Digitize into Claptrap's Brain.

    (4)

    Story related, cannot be missed.

This achievement is unlocked during the very first mission, 'Enter the Claptrap.'

  • Destroy the Tassiter Proxy.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

Unlocked during the story mission 'File Search.'

  • Successfully recover the Override Key.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

Unlocked at the end of the story mission 'The Psychology of a Claptrap.'

  • Give the H-Source to Jack.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

Unlocked after turning in the story mission 'END OF LINE.'

  • Defeat 5H4D0W-TP.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

Unlocked after defeating '5H4DOW-TP' during the story mission 'System Shutdown.'

  • Outrun the Wheel in the Temple of Boom.

    (6)

    MISSABLE!

To unlock this achievement you need to acquire a side mission called 'Temple of Boom' and during it outrun a giant wheel that will be chasing you down a short tunnel.

To find the mission you will need to travel to the location 'Subconscious' and head to the area that looks like a child's play area. While here, if you look east you will roughly be looking at the exclamation mark on your map that belongs to this quest. At the edge of the map, looking east in the child's play area, there will be a jump pad to gain access to the area with this mission.

You will first be able to acquire this mission during the story mission 'END OF LINE' at the point were you need to look for Claptraps 'Hope' and 'Self Esteem.' The necessary jump pad will appear at this point and send you to where the 'Temple of Boom' mission is.

This achievement is missable as if you do not outrun the wheel in a sufficient manner then you will not have fulfilled the requirements for doing so and fail the optional objective that unlocks this achievement. As you are at the part where you are told to 'RUN' just run straight through the tunnel and towards the open archway at the end. As you reach the archway jump out of it and land on the platform in front and stand there a moment and the achievement will unlock. The reason this is missable is that there is a wide area at the end of the tunnel before the archway and you can run into it and avoid the wheel, but doing this, even though the wheel doesn't get you, will void the achievement and you will have to do it again on a different character.

  • Talk to all of Claptrap's Holographic Projections.

    (4)

You will find the Holographic Projections in the location 'The Nexus.' They are podiums with the Holographic faces of some of the characters from the main game, such as Pickle and Lilith. All you need to do is walk up to them and press . There are five in total so talk to them all and the achievement is yours.

    Walkthrough courtesy of Necrophage33;

    1. Roland: From the fast-travel in Nexus, run to the right side of the giant Clap-trap to the Nurse Nina vending machine and he's on the right side of the vending machine if you're facing it.
    2. Brick: Head back to the fast-travel station, and right before it make a right. Head down the stairs to the bottom, then hang a right under the awning. He's on the right near the Russian(?) bot.
    3. Pickle: Head past Brick out the side opposite you entered from and you'll see a big pipe/tube below you. Drop down below this tube to the platform below it and Pickle is inside.
    4. Janey Springs: From Pickle, boost jump to the lowest section of the big tube and then jump up onto the platform it connects to. Run to the other side of the platform and take the jump pad to the platform below where the garbage dump is. When you land, turn around to face the jump pad leading back up and Tannis will be on your right.
    5. Lilith: From Janey Springs, turn back around and run past the garbage dump out onto the catwalk. Run past the jump pad and sign that says "Data Stream" and round the corner. Lilith, the last projection, will be there.

  • Experience all 9 Game Modes and all 9 Modifiers of the Mutator.

    (5)

See "It's Raining Cats and Hotdogs" for how to access these missions.

    The nine game modes are actually game modes as much as they are just circumstances that affect the actual Game Mode which is just a three-wave defence mission. They do spice it up a bit but this achievement is basically to complete the three-wave defence mission nine times with nine different circumstances. The Mutators give you character traits, such as more damage with certain weapons/attacks, etc. They are as follows;

    • Game Modes:
      • Half Gravity
      • Operation Vacu-Suck
      • Mag Density
      • Hyperspeed
      • Flow
      • Shoes Made of Acid
      • Vampires
      • Bloody Good
      • Glass Turtles
    • Mutators:
      • Butt Slayers
      • Rocket Arena
      • CQB
      • Rangefinder
      • TORGUE APPROVES THIS SH*T
      • Lasershow
      • Spray 'n' Pray
      • Critipistols
      • MOAR DOTS

After completing the first mission for the achievement 'It's Raining Cats and Hotdogs' you will gain free access to choose whichever Game Modes and Mutators you wish. I would suggest just starting from the beginning, choose the first of each, complete the mission, turn it in, then choose the second of each, complete that mission and so on, until you've done them all. You can also select the difficulty so be sure to set it to the easiest for to make this as smooth as possible. You do need to complete the mission, even though the achievement only suggests to 'Experience' them, as failing will not count towards Experiencing it. The first mission that you do for the achievement 'It's Raining Cats and Hotdogs' will count as one of the nine that you need to complete, so be sure to remember which Game Mode and Mutator you chose to avoid having to repeat it.

Complete all nine of each and the achievement is yours.

  • Complete a round using the Mutator.

To unlock this achievement you will need to complete your first three-wave defence mission. You access these by first completing the side mission 'h4X0rz' then when you've done that you will start a series of missions all called 'l33t h4X0rz.' They are indefinite so you can do them as many times as you want, but you only need to complete your first 'l33t h4X0rz' mission to unlock this achievement.

You will find the 'l33t h4X0rz' side mission in the location 'The Cortex' and it's pre-requisite mission 'h4X0rz' in the location 'Deck 13 1/2.' Note that these can only be accepted after completing the main story of the DLC.
