Introduction:
Welcome to MotoGP 14 for the Xbox 360. MotoGP 14 takes us through all three classes of MotoGP; Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP itself. There several different game modes to concentrate on. Each will be detailed in the guide below. MotoGP career is the one you will spend most of your time on. Except for one achievement, the game is very easy to obtain the full 1000. For that I have rated the difficulty a 4/10. Someone that is not used motorcycle racing or has not played a MotoGP game before may find it to be more difficult. The only suggestions I can give in that case is brake early, lean early and use caution with the brakes and accelerator while leaned in a curve or you will end up on the pavement.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Begin your playthough of MotoGP 14 in Career. Career mode will take roughly 12-15 hours and help you to learn the tracks and bike physics. Difficulty does not affect achievements, therefore to make your life easier, play on Easy AI difficulty, 15% race length, Joint Brakes, Max Rewind and Penalty Timer OFF. The rest are up to you. You should be able to earn all career related achievements in two seasons.
Once career is complete, there is the online, two challenge achievements and mop-up.
Multiplayer:
There are five online achievements. Each will be covered in detail in the guide below. Multiplayer will take approximately 5 hours to complete. Most of your time will be focused on completing 25 races online.
Mop-Up:
Several of the “mop up” achievements can easily be obtained during your MotoGP Career or Multiplayer play. Including:
- The Exorcist
- Make no mistake…
- Play it again
- The personal touch
Others will require specific attention. These would include:
- Ah, what memories!
- It’s all coming back to me...
- The Return of the Champions
- Tick tock tick tock…
- Acrobat
- Grinding Halt
Conclusion:
MotoGP is, in my opinion, an excellent motorcycle racing simulation. The graphics, sound, presentation and physics will leave a lasting impression. If you’re looking for a relatively quick and easy 1000, this game may be for you. However, if you’re not into motorcycles or MotoGP racing itself, this game may not be for you.
