Introduction:
Experience a Toys-To-Life sensation just like Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and the successful Amiibo collection. Characters from all over the LEGO universe are joining forces to battle in worlds outside their own. Includes favorites like Scooby Doo, Portal, Ghostbusters, Batman, The LEGO Movie, The Simpsons and more! That's right, your favorite LEGO characters now come to life in LEGO Dimensions! Ascend into the portal, team up with accidental allies, journey to amazing worlds and strive to defeat the villainous Lord Vortech… all in an effort to save the LEGO humanity.

Helpful links for LEGO Instructions:
Once you start up your game, it will have instructions to go through on your TV instead of the paper instruction manual piece by piece. The Batmobile isn’t in the paper manual, but it is in the game to build when you start the story. Here are links for each Starter Pack build.

Note: These builds are completely optional as they aren't necessary for playing the game.

- Gateway Toy Pad (takes about 30-60 minutes to build)
- Batmobile
- Batman
- Wyldstyle
- Gandalf

Cheat Codes:
There are only two cheat codes for this LEGO game. To enter them, press  then select the “Extras” option and choose the “Enter Code” selection. Enter one of the following codes to activate the cheat. Cheats don’t disable achievements.

  • Rare Artifact Detector R.A.D. (Minikit Detector) - "JYJAFX"
  • The Way Of The Brick (Fast Build) - "5MZ73E"

Infinite Studs:
Refer to THIS POST for a method to accumulate millions of studs in short period of time.

Elemental Keystones:
Throughout the game, you will be required to use these to complete puzzles and access areas that you would normally not be able to.

Step 1: Build your Portal, characters and the vehicle:
Note: This step is completely optional.

Load up your game; the instructions are in-game to help. Start by building your Gateway Portal which should take around an hour. Once that is done, build your characters from the Starter Pack: Batman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf. The Batmobile will be the last thing you build. The instructions for everything are in the links above or when you start up Story Mode.

Step 2: Story Mode for Minikits to get x2 Stud Multiplier for 1,000,000 studs:
Begin with Story Mode. There are 14 story levels to complete and should take roughly 20-30 minutes each. While going through Story Mode, be on the lookout for minikits; you can actually grab them with just the Starter Pack characters. Note that you don’t need all of them for the achievement; just 30 of them. Refer to “Rare Artefacts, collected!” for more information. While in the first level, get the “Forever Alone” achievement out of the way as it might be challenging unlocking it in a later level.

Refer to THIS THREAD for a minkit guide with the Starter Pack only.

Step 3: Obtain the x2 Red Multiplier Brick and Continue Story:
Once you hit 1,000,000 studs, you will be able to purchase the x2 Red Multiplier Red Brick. At the start area in front of the portal, take the elevator at the bottom left and up the ramp to the Hub level of the Lord of the Rings (this will unlock “Home, Sweet Home”). If you haven’t done so yet, you can go and travel to Batman’s Hub world and The LEGO Movie Hub world to unlock “Dimensions Explorer”. Upon arriving in the Lord of the Rings Hub world, head toward the left you will notice a red brick icon on the mini map. A robot will be carrying the red brick. Chase the robot down with the Batmobile. Once you catch him, you can buy the red brick from the main portal where you play levels from. Don’t forget to turn it on from the Pause menu and continue playing through to Level 11.

Step 4: Unlock Model 2 Upgrade for the Batmobile before Level 12, ‘Prime Time’:
BEFORE Level 12, ‘Prime Time’, you want to upgrade the Batmobile to Model 2. Hopefully you have 370,000 studs for all the three levels of upgrades on the Batmobile. If not, just replay a level or farm for some studs. To upgrade to Model 2, each pack will cost 15,000 studs each (there are 10 packs total) plus an additional 10,000 studs to “unlock” the Model 2 for you to use. Model 3 upgrades will cost 20,000 studs each (again, 10 packs total) plus another 10,000 studs to unlock Model 3 for you to use. Once done upgrading, you should save each upgrade as a toy tag by pressing and saving it. Refer to “Na na na na na na na upgrades!” and “Holy Upgrades, Batman!” for more information.

The reason for upgrading before Level 12 is that there is a minikit at the end of the level that is only obtainable with the Batmobile Model 2. Once you have upgraded and saved the Batmobile to Level 2, you can continue on the story and getting the rest of the minikits.

Step 5: Hubs:
Now enter the hub worlds; The Lego Movie, Lord of the Rings and DC Comics. In these hub worlds, you will be working on 15 renovations, 5 races and any quest. The only grind will be from getting more studs to complete each hub world renovation. Please refer to “Official Master Builder” for more information.

Step 6: Mop Up & 100%:
Only a few achievements will be left for you to go back on and complete: upgrading and painting the Batmobile, collecting the rest of the minikits, farming the keystone achievements and going back to complete the ‘Aperture Science Enrichment Center’ level within 25 minutes.

  • Travel through 20 rifts throughout the game

This will most likely come through natural play. Rifts are the portals that you enter to travel to levels and HUB worlds. 20 in total are needed for this achievement; 14 you will get through normal story and the rest should unlock with each HUB world you visit.

  • Complete ''GLaD to See You'' within 25 minutes

Note: The latest patch fixed an exploit where you could get to the “boss battle” (GLaDOS), quit the game, and when you continued, the timer was reset. You can still do this if you uninstall your game, reinstall it and not update the game. Unfortunately, since you can’t use any previous saves, you would have to start the game from the beginning.

This is probably the most difficult achievement in the game as you need to perform a near-perfect run of the level ‘GLaD to See You’ with very little room for error. Unskippable cutscenes and Wheatley’s incessant chattering add to your time, but there’s no way around it. The only cutscenes that can be skipped are the very first one and the very last one. It is recommended that you play this level a couple of times to get a feel for what needs to be done (where character actions are located, in what order to do puzzles, etc.).

There are five test chambers, each growing increasingly more difficult with how many tasks you must complete to advance to the next one. At the end of Test Chamber 05, you meet up with Wheatley, the facilities’ wandering A.I. After talking your ear off and taking you on a brief shortcut, you end up skipping three chambers and reemerge in Test Chamber 09, which is probably the most time consuming of them all.

When you complete that test chamber, you meet GLaDOS, the central core of the Enrichment Centre. She will put you through a series of tests, and if you succeed in all of them, she promises that there will be cake waiting for you at the end. Of course, this is a lie.

    1. The first stage of this boss battle, GLaDOS will try to flatten you with a big metal panel after rendering you inert. Simply move your character to another space on the toy pad so you can move again and avoid the panels. She does this three times.
    2. For the second stage, walk up to the keystone panel in the center of the chamber, activate the Shift keystone and the chamber will be divided into three sections. For the Blue and Pink sections, you will need Batman and Wyldstyle. For the Yellow section, you will need Gandalf and Wyldstyle. Solve each puzzle and the sections will disappear.
    3. For the third stage, activate the Locate keystone in the center of the chamber (the spot to locate is in the back right area of the chamber). It will open a portal and HAL-9000 (from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey) will appear and start talking to GLaDOS. While she is distracted, activate and solve the Chroma keystone puzzle which will produce a vehicle jump pad. Build it, enter the vehicle and hurdle yourself into GLaDOS. She will claim that was not fair and put you in a “time out” in the basement.

Now you are in the basement, which is essentially a giant oven. Suddenly, Wheatley appears out of nowhere and decides to save the day and help you escape. But in classic Wheatley fashion, he must talk out loud to himself on what he needs to do before he actually does it. Eventually, he will press a button and a keystone panel will drop in the center of the room. Activate the Elemental keystone and select the blue toy pad section to possess the water ability. Use this ability to shoot water at all of the flames in the oven. Once all of the flames have been extinguished, a panel at the back of the room opens, so just walk into it and the final cutscene will play. You got cake!

If you completed this level within 25 minutes, the achievement will unlock after you watch or skip the cutscene.

There are a couple of shortcuts that you can take to save you some time if you have other characters and/or vehicles:

    • In Test Chamber 02, if you have a flying character (Wicked Witch, Superman), after accessing Electricity from the Elemental keystone (and completely bypassing the Chroma puzzle), use them to fly over the gap and solve the ball puzzle. This saves about two minutes.
    • Alternately, in Test Chamber 02, if you have the TARDIS (from the Doctor Who Level Pack), after accessing Electricity from the Elemental keystone with your character (and completely bypassing the Chroma puzzle), you can fly it over the gap and solve the ball puzzle. This saves about two minutes.
    • In the final area in the “oven”, if you have the either Aquaman or Krusty the Clown, you can start putting out the fires immediately instead of having to wait for Wheatley to drop the Elemental keystone. This saves at least one minute.
    • Alternately, if you have the Ecto-1 (Build 2), the Cloud Cuckoo Car (Build 2) or the Mystery Mobile (Build 3), you can hop into one of these at the start of the oven section and put out the fires that way. This saves at least one minute.
  • Complete a level while only ever keeping one character active on the Toy Pad

The best level to do this on is the very first level, 'Follow the LEGO Brick Road'. In order to get this achievement, you need to only have one character on the toy pad at all times. The Batmobile doesn't matter for this achievement you can get this achievement with it on the toy pad; just make sure that no other character besides the one you are playing with is on it. This level is pretty short and doesn't have many keystone rifts like the other levels.

It is very important to wait a couple seconds and lift up the character off the toy pad in the air and put it somewhere away from the toy pad then switch it with the character you need. Just remember to use one character at a time and put your other characters lined up by the toy pad for easy grabs. Follow the video for an easy visual and you should unlock the achievement if done right.

  • Complete 25 'Locate Mode' puzzles

The Locate Mode keystone looks like this: ""

The keystone will unlock while playing the story normally. Locate mode is when the LEGO Toy Pad will change color based on whether they are moving toward the vortex or away from it. Red indicates the character is moving away from the vortex and green indicates the player is moving toward the vortex. The player will know they’ve discovered the invisible vortex when a button prompt appears above their character’s head. The player will follow the button prompt to open the vortex.

    Farming Method:
    - Load the Aperture Science level and play to Test Chamber 03.
    - "Save and Continue" at the checkpoint statue.
    - Solve the puzzle.
    - Once that is done, "Quit to Vorton".
    - Re-enter the level
    - Rinse and repeat as needed.

  • Complete 25 'Chroma Mode' puzzles

The Chroma Mode keystone looks like this: ""

Chroma mode is introduced very early in the game. Chroma mode changes the color of the character in order for the character to follow the color paths to paint them that color. Colors are red, blue, and yellow. Some will need to be purple, green or orange. You will need to move the character to different parts of the toy pad to do so.

    Farming Method:
    - Load the Aperture Science level and play to Test Chamber 02.
    - "Save and Continue" at the checkpoint statue.
    - Solve the puzzle.
    - Once that is done, "Quit to Vorton".
    - Re-enter the level
    - Rinse and repeat as needed.

  • Enter 'Elemental Mode' on 25 unique occasions

The Elemental Mode keystone looks like this: ""

Elemental mode gives the player Fire, Ice, Earth (nature), and Lightning properties. Activating an Elemental keystone will change the colors on the Toy Pad allowing characters to use elements in game based on the correct placement of physical LEGO minifigures on the Toy Pad. This should come naturally within gameplay but, if you need to farm for this refer to below.

  • Shift through 50 ''Shift Mode'' rifts

Shift mode rifts are in almost every level in the game. They are the pink, yellow and blue color portals that you place your character on the toy pad to the corresponding color that matches each portal for the character to teleport through. Do this 50 times for the achievement to unlock.

This will come early after the third level with natural gameplay so there isn't a need for boosting this achievement.

  • Give the Batmobile a pink paint job

The Batmobile upgrade menu is on the Gateway Portal menu. Go to Upgrades then the Build menu. In order to paint the Batmobile pink you will need 10 gold bricks. These vehicle tiers (3) cost studs and gold bricks; simply play the story until you do and have studs saved up. To unlock this achievement, you need to purchase all 8 bottom circles. The first row costs 15,000 studs each, second row cost 20,000 studs each and the last third row first two are 50,000 studs each. It is needed to buy the other locked circles for the next Batmobile upgrade.

Now that you've bought those upgrades, scroll all the way to the right, select the color wheel and change it to pink as referred to in the video. Don't forget to press  to save as a toy tag. Once it's saved the achievement will unlock as long with a new pink Batmobile!

  • Give the Batmobile a chrome paint job

The Batmobile upgrade menu is on the Gateway Portal menu. Go to Upgrades then the Build menu. In order to paint the Batmobile chrome you will need 10 gold bricks. Now that you've bought those upgrades, scroll all the way to the right, select the color wheel and change the vehicle to chrome armor. Don't forget to press to save as a toy tag. Once it's saved the achievement will unlock as long with a new chromed Batmobile!

The stud goal for this level is 185,000 studs. Just smash everything in sight and pick up all the studs you can. There is a meter at the top of the screen that shows your progress. When the counter is completely full, you will have achieved ‘Rule Breaker’ and the achievement will unlock.
