Introduction:
In this game, you play as Barbie and her sisters. You rescue puppies and find them new homes.
Customize kennels with toys, blankets, beds and decor at Rescue HQ. Tend to the puppies and learn about various breeds at Skipper's Pup Care. Groom and play with puppies at Chelsea's Puppy Day Care.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
It's a pretty simple game. You start as Barbie and you explore the neighborhood looking for lost or abandoned puppies. Take them back to your rescue and give them medical care, train them and find them homes for adoption.
The game is about as basic as it gets. Nothing in the game will give you trouble and there is no order or time constraints for your rescue adventures. A couple things to note:
1. There are tricks to getting some of the grooming and trick tasks done quicker and easier. See the Mop Up section for more details.
2. I found it easier and quicker to adopt as many puppies as I could at the time and also buying upgraded dishes, blankets, etc... to cut down on their ready time. After you play or groom the dog, they have a "rest" time where they can't be used again. Buying kennel upgrades makes the time go faster.
Mop-Up:
A couple of the achievements take a while to finish, because the tricks and grooming games are random when you first rescue a dog. However, once they are in your kennel, you can select what mini game you want to play once they dog is ready to go.
Trick training, flea control, brushing teeth, etc. can be manually chosen by selecting that area of the Rescue while you are in the lobby.
You can select any mini-game from the training menu, so long as you have a puppy at 100%. With this in mind, you can cycle through your puppies once you have a full kennel to grind any missing achievements out pretty easily (or you can just do it every time you have a puppy at 100%).
Conclusion:
The game was pretty fun actually... for 10 minutes. After that it gets really repetitive and boring. The good new is though, the game is so easy it's probably less than a 1/10. A few of the achievements can be a grind but it's a relatively quick and easy 1000.
