Introduction:
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the follow-up to the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. Expanding on the scope from that game, Rise of the Tomb Raider provides a much more open game world, with a variety of collectible items, side missions and challenges available to supplement the main story. The game's achievements fall into four main categories, starting with a number of story-related achievements, then collectibles and completion of side missions/challenges, a few miscellaneous tasks and finally a few associated with a new score-attack "Expeditions Mode" in which each section of the game can be replayed.

Controls:

  •  - movement/press in to sprint
  •  - camera movement/press in to use 'Survival Instincts', or to zoom when aiming
  •     - weapon selection
  •  - jump
  •  - scramble/roll/dodge/swim faster
  •  - interact/axe attach
  •  - melee attack
  •  - aim/when swimming, submerge/dive
  •  - heal
  •  - shoot/throw
  •  - shoot alternate ammo
  •  - display map and inventory
  •  - pause/options
Step 1 - Complete a Full Playthrough (Any Difficulty):
The first step towards unlocking the game's achievements is just to complete a full playthrough, on whatever difficulty setting you like contrary to the Xbox One version of the game, there are no difficulty-related achievements in the Xbox 360 version. There are no missable achievements, so just enjoy the game! That said, I'd recommend making a point of completing the optional 'challenge tombs' in each area at a fairly early stage, as these will each provide a fairly significant bonus to aid your playthrough.

Achievements unlocked:
  • Quite a Tumble
  • Following in Father's Footsteps
  • Tougher Than She Looks
  • Strange Acquaintance
  • Taking the High Road
  • A Helping Hand
  • The Key To It All
  • Whatever It Takes
  • The Road Less Travelled
  • The Price of Truth
Step 2 - Collectibles, Challenges and Optional Missions:
The game has a number of different collectibles to go after in each location - you'll need to find all of these and complete all of the challenges and optional missions to reach 100% game completion. However, for achievements, it’s sufficient to collect only 75% of the ‘narrative assets’ (relics, murals and documents), rather than all of them. You will, however, still also need to complete all optional missions, challenges and challenge tombs, as well as finding all five crypt treasures. In particular, there are the following to seek out/complete:
  • Murals - which improve Lara's proficiency in one of three languages.
  • Relics - themed to match the setting of the game world, these are items of supposed archaeological significance. Certain relics will also improve Lara's language proficiency.
  • Documents - which also add further detail and context to the game's story. Certain documents will also improve Lara's language proficiency.
  • Survival caches - which contain bonus resources for use in crafting.
  • Coin caches - which contain coins that can be spent to purchase special equipment from the Supply Shack in the Soviet Installation area.
  • Strongboxes - which contain weapon parts.
  • Challenges - for which you'll need to find all of a certain type of item in a location and interact with it in some way (e.g., shooting targets or lighting braziers).
  • Optional missions - giving item and experience bonuses when completed.
  • Challenge tombs - nine areas with puzzle challenges of some form, with a skill bonus as a reward for completion.
  • Crypts - five hidden locations, each of which contains a special item.
You will also come across monoliths, archivist maps and explorer satchels, which will mark certain other collectibles on your map and/or provide resources for crafting - but these aren't required for 100% completion.

Achievements unlocked:
  • Keen Eye
  • Looking for Trouble
  • Good Samaritan
  • Challenging
  • Tomb Raider
  • Woman of the People
  • Trust Seeker
  • Voices of the Past
  • Fluent
  • Compulsive
  • Avid Shopper
  • No Guts, No Glory
  • The Chosen Few
Step 3 - Clean-up:
After the game's collectibles, there are then several miscellaneous achievements to go after from completing specified tasks. You may unlock some of these in the course of your main playthrough and collectible hunting, but now's the time to go after those that you don't yet have.

Achievements unlocked:
  • Firestarter
  • Bar Brawl
  • Rapid Recovery
  • Renegade
  • Triple Threat
  • A Trusty Old Friend
  • Fall Guys
  • One-Side Conversation
  • Glub Glub Glub
  • Blade of Justice
  • Was That Really Necessary?
  • Weaponsmith
  • Craftswoman
  • Self-Improvement Junkie
  • Laying Down the Law
  • Dead Ringer
  • Quick and Painless
  • Rotisserie
  • Zipper
  • Siberian Ranger
Step 4 - Expeditions Mode:
Finally comes Expeditions Mode. This allows you to replay individual sections (chapters) of the game with a score-attack format. You'll need to complete each chapter with at least a bronze medal score, including any 10 chapters with a gold medal. A selection of 'cards', which apply a specified effect to the replay and a positive or negative score multiplier, are available from the in-game marketplace, purchasable with either credits that you'll earn in-game or real money. You'll need to make use of this marketplace to unlock the game's achievements, but they're all readily unlockable without spending any real money here.

Achievements unlocked:
  • These Belong in A Museum
  • Way to Go
  • Gilded
  • Well Begun is Half Done
  • My Own Worst Enemy
  • That All You Got?
Differences From the Xbox One Release:
While the game’s content is for the most part very similar between the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions, excluding DLC there are only 50 achievements for the Xbox 360, compared to 66 for the Xbox One. The following is a list of the ‘missing’ achievements, the absence of which makes reaching 1,000 somewhat easier. Most notably, while the Xbox One version has an achievement for completing the game on the hardest difficulty setting (Survivor), there are no difficulty-related achievements on the Xbox 360, and there is no achievement for 100% completion on Xbox 360 so some collectibles need not be obtained.
  • Fearless
  • Reading the Past
  • Master Fletcher
  • English Pedigree
  • Chemical Warfare
  • Trick Shot
  • Quite the Collector
  • Golden Child
  • Iron Will
  • Paying Respects
  • For My Next Trick...
  • Quiet Time
  • Untouchable
  • Bacon!
  • Huntress
  • No Stone Unturned

Endurance Mode DLC

Introduction:
The first DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider begs the question: how long can you survive in the wilderness? Lara must eat and stay warm while trying to collect Artifacts so that Trinity doesn’t get their hands on them. The way to unlock achievements is to select the appropriate challenge (much like the base game). You can only select a maximum of five challenges for each playthrough. I recommend doing five playthroughs, but you can do it in four you’re really lucky. You can use specific cards to make your playthroughs harder or easier, though I suggest using cards that benefit you.

Conclusion:
Overall, Endurance Mode is quite fun (especially when using the Toxicity Card) and the achievements aren't that bad. Remember to select the appropriate challenge in order to unlock the achievement you're going for, or else you won't earn anything and you'll have to start another playthrough.

Baba Yaga DLC

Introduction:
Baba Yaga is the second DLC release for Rise of the Tomb Raider and is story-based on the Baba Yaga folktale. The DLC is short but awesome. Unfortunately, there have been reports of some achievements not unlocking when they’re supposed to. Right now, there are no solutions other than starting a new game and playing it over until you can re-do the Baba Yaga DLC, hoping that they unlock this time around.

Conclusion:
Overall, the Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch DLC is short and has some easy but glitchy achievements.

Cold Darkness Awakened DLC

Introduction:
Cold Darkness Awakened is the third and final DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider. The Soviets were working on their own super solider formula during the Cold War, but it didn't go as plan the facility was shut down that is until Trinity found it for their own useage. Now it’s up to Lara to shut down the facility for good while avoiding the infected trinity soldiers. This DLC, in my opinion, is the weakest and shortest of the three. Nine out of the ten achievements have to be earned by completing the respected challenges, with one lone achievement earned by completing the DLC.

Conclusion:
Cold Darkness Awakened is a very short and easy DLC.

There are 85 achievements with a total of 1750 points

  • Kill 5 enemies within 10 seconds using any rifle

If you don't unlock this naturally during your main playthrough, there are numerous chapters in which you can unlock this in Expeditions Mode. For example, "The Acropolis" is suitable (and a good place for a number of other achievements), with an enemy encounter near to the start, but plenty of others will do just as well. When you first encounter the enemies they'll be unaware of their presence, so alert them (e.g., by firing a few unsilenced shots into the air), wait for them to cluster together then take them out quickly with your rifle. Lower difficulties will of course make this easier.

  • Purchase all items from the supply shack

The Supply Shack can be found in the Soviet Installation region, with a number of items and weapons available for purchase, using coins that you'll collect during the game. Coins are found throughout the game world, often loose in small groups (most commonly in tombs), but more significantly, in buried caches which will be marked on your map after reading a nearby monolith - though these caches can be found without the monolith if you know where to look (and for this, see the "Voices of the Past" achievement).

For this achievement, you'll need to buy every available item, which requires a total of 705 coins. If you seek out all coin caches and keep an eye out for other coins as you travel throughout the game world, you should find enough coins to meet this comfortably, but if you find yourself short, I suggest returning to the challenge tombs and crypts to check for any coins that you might have missed.

  • Melee kill an enemy using a bottle

You'll need to learn the "Deadly Force" skill before this achievement can be unlocked. Once you have this, find a bottle and an, ideally, unaware enemy, then use a melee attack on them. Lara should smash the bottle on their head and kill them, unlocking the achievement.

  • Perform 25 special stealth kills with the knife

A 'special' stealth kill just requires you to have learned the Deadly Force skill from the Brawler tree before attempting it. Now, just sneak up behind an enemy and use  to carry out a stealth kill, then repeat until you unlock the achievement. If you like, you can reload the checkpoint for another opportunity after completing each kill, but there are numerous opportunities for stealth kills both during and after your main playthrough so this isn't really necessary.

  • Complete any Challenge Tomb

    See the "Tomb Raider" achievement.

  • Complete every Challenge

Most regions of the game have a number of challenges associated with them, for which you'll need to find all of a certain type of item in a location and interact with it in some way (e.g., shooting targets or lighting braziers). Completing each challenge will provide a significant experience bonus.

You can see a list of challenges from the in-game map, but for specific guidance, please see the collectibles guides under the "Voices of the Past" achievement above.

  • Craft 5 pieces of Equipment

As well as weapon upgrades, at base camps Lara is able to craft new/upgraded pieces of equipment, again making use of resources collected from the game world. Simply craft any five pieces of equipment to unlock this achievement.

  • Get 25 headshots using the Bolt-Action Rifle

The Bolt-Action Rifle is the most powerful rifle in the game, but hindered by requiring reloading after each shot. Whether or not you unlock this achievement naturally depends on how much you use the gun - which in my case, wasn't much. However, this is readily unlocked in Expeditions Mode and I'd suggest "The Acropolis" as a good chapter in which to attempt the achievement, with a group of unaware enemies near to the start of the chapter providing a perfect opportunity to line up headshots. After a few shots, simply reload the checkpoint and repeat as necessary.

  • Kill 5 enemies by shooting them in the leg

This achievement is self-explanatory from its description and you're very likely to unlock this naturally during your main playthrough - but if not, just find a group of enemies in free-roam and/or via Expeditions Mode, then focus your fire on their legs. Repeat until the achievement unlocks, which shouldn't take long.

  • Defeat 2 enemies or more using a single Molotov Cocktail

Molotov Cocktails are crafted items that Lara can craft when holding a bottle. You will most likely unlock this naturally if you use Molotov Cocktails at all in your main playthrough, but if not, this can readily be unlocked later, either in free-roam or via Expeditions Mode. For example, you'll find bottles and respawning enemies in the Siberian Wilderness area. After crafting the Molotov, find a pair of, ideally, unaware enemies and throw it between the two of them. The Molotov should set them both on fire and you'll unlock the achievement when they die.

  • Fluent

    15

Reach max proficiency in any language

Throughout the game, Lara is able to improve her proficiency in three different languages - Greek (up to level 7), Russian (up to level 3) and Mongolian (up to level 2). With sufficient proficiency, she's them able to translate the writing on monoliths that appear in the game world, marking the location of certain nearby collectibles on the in-game map. This achievement requires you to reach the maximum level in any one language, though doing so for all three is readily achievable.

Language proficiency is improved through certain collectible items. Reading murals will always provide a boost in a given language, while certain documents and relics will also do so. While on the surface it may seem that Mongolian is the easiest language to maximize, the lower maximum level reflects there being many fewer opportunities to improve it, and in fact, the first language that I maximized was Greek. See the "Voices of the Past" achievement below for help with finding the game's collectibles.

  • Gilded

    15

Complete a level in Score Attack with a gold score

See the "Way to Go" achievement.

  • Drown 3 enemies using a water finisher

A 'water finisher' is carried out while swimming, by attempting a melee attack on an enemy with  when they come sufficiently close to the water. There are a couple of good locations for this, but the earliest is in the Geothermal Valley region, when approaching the enemy camp in the north-west of the region. After completing one water finisher, just reload the checkpoint and repeat a couple of times to unlock the achievement.

Here's a video guide taken from YouTube:

  • Shoot a bottle out of the air

This achievement is easier than it might sound, so long as you're using the right weapon. Pick up a bottle and throw it as high into the air as possible, then immediately arm a shotgun or rifle and fire upwards toward the bottle. Your shots should shatter the bottle, unlocking the achievement.

  • Complete 3 Missions

See the "Woman of the People" achievement.

  • Unearth 40 Survival Caches

Survival caches are one of the many types of collectible items in the game, each containing cache of resources for use in crafting. See the "Voices of the Past" achievement below for guide to help with finding these and the game's other collectibles.

  • Kill 6 enemies with the Revolver without reloading

The Revolver holds six bullets and this achievement requires you to kill an enemy with each one, requiring a head shot each time, without reloading. You're unlikely to unlock this unless you deliberately go after it, especially on survivor difficulty, so if you haven't unlocked this by the time that you complete the game, I recommend using Expeditions Mode, on Adventurer difficulty, to unlock it.

Any chapter in which you face enemies will do, but I suggest The Acropolis as a good early example, where there's an encounter with a group of unaware enemies near to the start. Playing on adventurer difficulty should allow plenty of time to line up head shots with each bullet, as Lara will be able to withstand a significant amount of gunfire herself. If necessary, though, there's plenty of space to retreat to cover and allow Lara's health to regenerate.

  • Complete 5 Challenges

    See the "Compulsive" achievement below.

  • Complete a level in Score Attack with a score multiplier of 2 or more

Expeditions Mode only, requires online connection.

For this achievement, you need to apply cards (see also "These Belong in A Museum" above) with a total score multiplier of 200% or more to a given encounter and then complete the chapter. This is most readily achieved with the chapters that focus on a single Challenge Tomb, as you're unlikely to take damage here so damage-related effects aren't problematic to deal with. I suggest in particular the cards that those which disable health regeneration (which isn't possible on Survivor difficulty anyway) and those that start Lara with no ammunition (often not required for Challenge Tombs, or readily available from ammo pickups).

  • Perform a 2.5 second or longer swan dive

This achievement will come naturally in the course of working towards the challenges in the Geothermal Valley region, which include completing four dives from a high location. One of these will take place near to the Ridgeline base camp and take longer than the 2.5 seconds required for this achievement to complete. Look for a board above the waterfall a short distance from the camp; once you've found it, sprint towards the board and jump then dive (with  quickly after jumping) as you reach it.

Here's a video guide taken from YouTube:

  • Stealth kill an enemy while they are having a conversation

There are numerous opportunities to unlock this achievement during your main playthrough and I expect that this will come naturally for most. However, if you haven't unlocked it by the time that you beat the game, find a pair of conversing enemies, either in free-roam or via Expeditions mode, sneak up quietly behind them and use a stealth melee attack to kill them. For example, you'll find an unaware guard talking on the radio early on in the Siberian Wilderness chapter who provides an ideal opportunity for this.

  • Shoot 15 deer in the heart

Deer can be found in the Siberian Wilderness, Soviet Installation and Geothermal Valley regions. You're unlikely to unlock this naturally so will need to farm this to some extent. Note that you won't always find deer when visiting each location (I believe that they'll only appear in certain weather conditions), so if you don't, just fast travel to one of the other locations and return later - you should find deer before too long.

There are two specific skills that you'll want to learn before going after this achievement - "Anatomical Knowledge" will show an indicator of animals' hearts when you use Survival Instincts and "True Shot" will automatically target animals' hearts when you zoomed in and aiming at them with your bow.

  • Heal yourself in combat 3 times

On lower difficulty levels, regenerating health is available, but when playing on survivor difficulty you'll need to make use of manual healing, by holding down . Simply heal during a combat encounter a cumulative total of three times to unlock this achievement, which will almost certainly come naturally if playing on survivor difficulty.

  • Melee 5 enemies off a ledge

For this achievement, you need to use melee attacks to knock enemies off a ledge a cumulative total of five times. There are a number of places throughout the game that you can work towards this, but if you don't unlock the achievement naturally over the course of your main playthrough, you can use Expeditions Mode to replay suitable chapters. An example of a good location for this would be Copper Mill Yard in the Soviet Installation area. Once you've knocked an enemy off a ledge once, you can if necessary reload your latest checkpoint to repeat until the achievement unlocks.

Here's a video guide taken from YouTube to illustrate the achievement.

  • Purchase all skills in a single category

During the course of the game, Lara can learn skills across three different skill trees/categories to improve her abilities. Depending on your approach to playing, you may find that you're able to obtain all skills from all categories during the course of your main playthrough (or during free-roam), but this achievement requires only all skills from any one category to be learned.

Whatever you do, I highly recommend picking "Avid Learner" as one of your earliest skill choices, as this will provide bonus experience with every collectible item - and so, make further progression that much quicker. Other choices beyond this are really down to personal preference, but for Survivor difficulty, "Thick-Skinned" from the Brawler tree will provide a significant boost to combat survivability.

  • Beat 15 combat encounters after completing the game

After completing the game, groups of enemies will continue to respawn in certain locations; this achievement calls for you to defeat a total of 15 such enemy groups. The Siberian Wilderness and Soviet Installation regions are examples of areas where you'll find respawning enemies, but there are plenty of others. Be warned that there will frequently be one enemy in these groups armed with a flamethrower, who can pose a significant challenge!

  • Shoot a chicken out of the air with a fire arrow

Fast travel to the Ruins Encampment base camp in the Geothermal Valley, where you should find a group of chickens (if not, fast travel elsewhere and return). Pick one of them up (they'll run away when you approach and you'll need to give chase), then simply drop it by arming a weapon and it'll land on its head. The game seems to consider this as still being airborne, so arm a fire arrow and shoot the chicken to unlock the achievement.

  • Complete 3 Replay Challenges in one Score Attack

Expeditions Mode only, requires online connection.

When attempting each chapter in score attack mode, you can choose five challenges to aim for as you play - these might, for example, be completing the chapter, or parts of it, in a given time, achieving a certain total of a given type of kill or picking up collectibles. The challenges available vary between chapters and you can only be awarded for completing those which you select to aim towards completing; if you succeed, you'll be rewarded with credits that can be spent in the in-game marketplace.

For this achievement, you need to complete any three challenges in the course of a single chapter replay. You can choose any chapter and any challenges that you like for this, but I suggest that among the most straightforward will be "The Acropolis," with challenges for collection of score bonus pickups and stealth/melee kills.

  • Finish the game on any difficulty

This achievement simply requires you to complete a full playthrough of the game, on any difficulty. If you choose to play on higher difficulties, while there are a few challenging parts, overall none of these are too difficult if you have some experience with third-person shooting. A full list of differences between each difficulty level is as follows:

    Adventurer:

    • Aim assistance is enabled.
    • Enemies have lower health and damage.

    Tomb Raider:

    • Aim assistance is disabled.
    • Enemies have normal health and damage.

    Seasoned Raider:

    • Aim assistance is disabled.
    • Heath regeneration only occurs outside of combat.
    • Enemies have increased health, damage, and senses.

    Survivor:

    • Aim assistance is disabled.
    • Health regeneration is disabled.
    • Enemies have increased health, damage, and senses.
    • More challenging enemy types will be present.
    • Resources are more scarce, and upgrades are more expensive.
    • Using a camp requires resources.

A few suggestions to help you towards completing a playthrough on higher difficulties:

    • Learn the "Avid Learner" and "Thick-Skinned" skills as early as possible - these will make further progression quicker and combat encounters much more survivable.
    • Use cover! Lara can't take much damage on Survivor difficulty, so in encounters with multiple enemies make full use of any available cover to avoid gunfire.
    • Whilst Lara's health won't regenerate, after the early parts of the game, you can afford to make fairly frequent use of manual healing as the required resources can be found very readily in most regions. You may also find it helpful to learn the skills that speed up healing.
    • The "True Shot" skill in the Huntress tree will make the bow significantly easier to use successfully later in the game, as this will automatically target arrows at enemies' heads when zoomed in, for an instant kill on those without helmets.
  • Collect 300 Cards

Expeditions Mode only, requires online connection.

"Expeditions Mode" allows you to replay individual sections ("chapters") of the game, with the ability to apply a variety of modifiers to the encounter by means of "cards", purchasable from the in-game marketplace using either in-game credit or real money. In the course of completing your main playthrough and working towards 100% completion, you'll be granted a number of free packs of cards (which can be redeemed under the "gifts" tab of the marketplace) and a significant amount of credit.

The marketplace has 6 different types of card pack available for purchase, each of which contains 5 cards - so to unlock this achievement, you'll need to 'open' a total of 60 packs. For this achievement, I'd recommend just purchasing the cheapest type of pack, which is "bronze", costing 5,000 credits each. If you do so, you should find that, together with the free packs, you have enough credit to get very close to the 300 card total required for this achievement, but will likely be around 3-4 packs short. The 15,000-20,000 credits that you'll need to purchase these packs will come very quickly as you complete chapters in Expeditions Mode (for example, each Gold Medal completion will award 10,000 credits).

In general, each card can only be used once, but you'll also find that you get some "foil" cards, which can be used repeatedly. These cards are differentiated with a gold border and a 'shine' effect that moves across them. Note that using a card doesn't remove it from the cumulative 300 total required for this achievement.

  • Complete all Challenge Tombs

There are nine "Challenge Tombs" in the game, as follows:

    • Glacial Cavern - Ice Ship
    • Soviet Installation - Ancient Cistern
    • Soviet Installation - Voice of God
    • Soviet Installation - The Red Mine
    • Geothermal Valley - House of the Afflicted
    • Geothermal Valley - The Pit of Judgement
    • Geothermal Valley - Baths of Kitezh
    • Geothermal Valley - Catacomb of Sacred Waters
    • The Lost City - Chamber of Exorcism

Each tomb provides a puzzle challenge of some form, with a skill bonus as a reward for completion. If you need help with finding or completing any of the tombs, plenty of guides are available, a good example being this written guide with screenshots from GamesRadar: https://www.gamesradar.com/rise-of-th...through-guide/

You can attempt the tombs in any order and you'll unlock this achievement after completing the last of them. While I'd suggest completing the tombs as early as possible given the bonuses that they bring, for the purposes of the achievement this can be done in free-roam if you prefer.

  • Kill 3 enemies with 1 Shotgun blast

A great place for this achievement can be found in the Soviet Installation, either during your main playthrough or via Expeditions Mode (ideally, using chapter replay elite to retain skills/upgrades). Play through the chapter until the scene with Konstantin, then immediately after this finishes there will be a pair of soldiers standing over an injured soldier on the ground - aim at these three with your shotgun and, if you get your aim just right, with a little luck you'll be able to kill all three with a single shot and unlock the achievement. If not, just reload the checkpoint and retry. Lower difficulties will make this easier. Thanks to Tassie Tiger for suggesting this method.

I've seen reports of being able to unlock this from multiple kills from blowing up a barrel with a shotgun blast, but haven't been able to do this with a fully-patched version of the game.

  • Collect 25% of all narrative assets (relics, murals and documents)

See the "Voices of the Past" achievement.

  • Collect 75% of all narrative assets (relics, murals and documents)

To unlock this achievement, you need to collect 75% of all relics, murals and documents across the entire game. A number of XBA members have kindly put together video guides to help you to locate these, alongside the other collectibles that you'll need to find for other achievements and a 100% completion score. With thanks to Baradfor compiling these in the original thread here, these guides can be found as follows:

If you prefer text/screenshot guides, I recommend this guide from GamePressure.com, which includes maps of the collectible locations for each region: https://guides.gamepressure.com/riseofthetombraider/

  • Kill any animal with an explosive

This achievement is self-explanatory from its description. Simply find any animal - rabbits and squirrels will be most frequently encountered - and fire at them using explosive ammunition, e.g., grenade arrows, to unlock the achievement.

  • Complete every level in Score Attack with a bronze score or better

    Expeditions Mode only.

Each chapter in Expeditions Mode's Score Attack mode has point thresholds above which you'll be awarded a bronze, silver or gold medal. For this achievement, you need to earn enough points for a bronze medal or better on every single chapter.

For a high score, you'll need to complete the chapter as fast as possible (an on-screen counter will show your current time bonus/penalty as you play), picking up blue score bonus pickups, killing enemies (headshots, finishers, etc., will provide a higher score) and avoiding damage. Ideally, try to achieve kills in quick succession to gain a temporary score multiplier, while replaying on higher difficulty levels will apply a multiplier to your overall score (0.5× for Adventurer, 1× for Tomb Raider, 2× for Seasoned Raider and 3× for Survivor).

Beyond this, applying modifier effects to the encounter with up to five cards (see "These Belong in A Museum") will provide a further score multiplier, which can be either positive (for effects that hinder your encounter) or negative (for helpful effects). Depending on the nature of the encounter, some of the easiest hindering effects to deal with, while providing a notable score boost, are those that disable health regeneration (which isn't possible on survivor difficulty anyway) and those that start Lara with no ammunition (not too much of a problem if early stealth kills or ammo pickups are available).

  • Fully upgrade any weapon

During the course of the game, four main types of weapon become available to Lara - bows, pistols, rifles and shotguns, with four varieties of each available to collect (the later ones requiring collection of parts from strongboxes or purchase from the Supply Shack). The climbing axe is also considered a weapon for the purposes of this achievement.

Each individual weapon can be upgraded at base camps in a number of ways using resources collected from the game world. Unless you spend a very long time grinding for resource collection, you're very unlikely to be able to upgrade all weapons fully, so I'd recommend focusing your upgrades on a small number of weapons - those which you use most. This achievement requires any one weapon to be fully upgraded and is most readily unlocked with the climbing axe, as this has only a comparatively small number of upgrades available.

  • Complete 10 levels in Score Attack with a gold score

    Expeditions Mode only.

    See the "Golden Child" achievement.

  • Complete every Mission

Alongside the main plot, there are also several optional side missions for Lara to complete, with item and experience rewards for completion. There are a total of eight missions in the game - four each in the Soviet Installation and Geothermal Valley regions - with missions given out by allied individuals who Lara encounters. After completing the last of these, the achievement will unlock.

  • Zipper

    15

Perform a manual zip line transfer

A manual zip line transfer refers to using the  button to drop off a zip line and land on another zip line. There are numerous locations in which this can be achieved - for example, in the Soviet Installation region, where there's a series of long zip lines that you'll have to descend; rather than allowing Lara automatically to drop from one to the next, prompt the transfer manually a few moments before you reach the end of one of these. Alternatively, find any location in free-roam where two lines cross each other and drop from one to the other - the zipline ascender item from the Supply Shack will male this easier as it allows you to control Lara's movement on the lines more precisely.

Here are two videos taken from YouTube to illustrate each of these suggested methods:

DLC: Endurance Mode (Store Link)

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Endurance Challenge: Collect at least 10 Artifacts

    Challenges to Select:

    • Master Archaeologist

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider: Grants all Brawler, Hunter, Survivor and Codex Skills
      or
    • Expert III: Grants all skills from all skill trees
      or
    • Survivor III: Grants all skills from the Survivor Skill Tree
      or
    • Any Outfit Card that Provides Tier 3 Survivor Skills

Having the Tier III Survivor Skill "Intuitive" is very helpful locating where all the Artifacts are in a Crypt since its Glows when you use Survival instincts.

Artifacts are mostly found in Crypts but can be found anywhere in the wilderness. There usually five to six Artifacts in each Crypt, so you can get this achievement by clearing out two to three crypts. Press to open Artifacts Boxes, Codices, and Sarcophagi.

NOTE: Codices and Sarcophagi also counts as Artifacts

  • Endurance Challenge: Open 5 Codices or Sarcophagi without getting caught in a trap

    Challenges to Select:

    • Skillful Raider

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider: Grants all Brawler, Hunter, Survivor and Codex Skills
      or
    • Well Read: Grants all Codex Skills

Having the Codex Skill "Bright Eyes" is helpful in seeing traps in crypts when you use survival instincts.

You probably will have to find more then five Crypts in order to complete this challenge; reason is because of floor traps, they seem to always trigger and making you fail the challenge no matter how far you jump over it. If you see one in a Crypt, I would turn around and find another Crypt to raid. Some Crypt Entrances have a floor trap, so be careful when going into one.

The achievement will unlock once you open the fith Codex or Sarcophagus without setting off any trap in Crypts.

  • Endurance Challenge: Destroy 3 ceiling spike traps after being caught in them

    Challenges to Select:

    • Fast Reflexes

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider: Grants all Brawler, Hunter, Survivor and Codex Skills
      or
    • Well Read: Grants all Codex Skills

Having the Codex Skill "Bright Eyes" will be helpful in finding ceiling spike traps faster.

When in Crypts, trigger and destroy three ceiling spike traps. Make sure you have ammo to destroy the trap. Do not go for this while doing the Skillful Raider Challenge unless you already complete it first.

  • Endurance Challenge: Eat the meat of 5 birds, squirrels or rabbits that were killed with fire

I recommend using the card Blazing Inferno or Pyromaniac since they both give you unlimited fire arrows. You can use Molotov Cocktails or anything that causes fire damage, but it's just easier to do this with fire arrows.

    Challenges to Select:

    • Well Done

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Blazing Inferno: Grants unlimited Fire arrows
      or
    • Pyromaniac: Gain unlimited fire arrows, but less total health.

When running around the wilderness, kill five birds, squirrels, or rabbits with fire arrows and press over the dead bird, squirrel, or rabbit to eat the meat. Any combination of the three will be fine for the purposes of this achievement.

  • Nope

    15

Endurance Challenge: Escape the forest on day 1, without recovering any artifacts

    Challenges to Select:

    • Nope

As soon as you start the game, collect the supplies from the Strongbox and find a Signal Fire. Hold the to light the Signal Fire. You might have to defeat some enemies/wildlife before the helicopter arrives. When the helicopter does arrive, just press by the rope to escape the forest.

  • Endurance Challenge: Escape the forest after surviving for 7 days

Refer below to "Great Haul" for more information.

  • Endurance Challenge: Escape the forest after surviving 10 days, with at least 10 Relics

This achievement takes a while but it's not that hard to get done. It takes about two hours or so to get to Day 11.Follow my setup and you should have no problem surviving to Day 11.

    Challenges to Select:

    • Vacation
    • Great Haul
    • Happy Camper
    • Nature Retreat

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Toxicity: Grants unlimited poison arrows
    • Bloodlust: Killing enemies grants small amount of food
    • Hot Blooded: Killing enemies grants small amount of warmth
    • Tool Chest: Grants all enhancement tools and a large pool of resources.

The reason why I like this setup is because you can easily kill animals and enemies with poison arrows and they will grant food and warmth with each kill! Make sure to find at least ten Artifacts; you can find them on Day 1 or Day 10, it doesn't matter as long as you get them.

I recommend that when it's Day 10 (Night), you find a signal fire, so that way, when it becomes Day 11 (Day), you can summon the helicopter right away. Make sure you have enough supplies to light the signal fire, though; you don't want to be scrambling around to find materials to light a signal fire.

  • Endurance Challenge: Survive for 5 days

Survive for five days and this will unlock on Day 6.

Refer back to "Great Haul" for more details on how to survive.

  • Endurance Challenge: Survive for 7 days

Survive for 7 days and this will unlock on Day 8.

Refer back to "Great Haul" for more details on how to survive.

  • Endurance Challenge: Locate 5 crypts

    Challenges to Select:

    • Who Needs a Map?

This is a very simple achievement. When running around the wilderness, all you need to do is find five different Crypts. You don’t even have to go inside of them. You'll probably get this when going for "Skillful Raider."

The challenge in the Wicked Vale is shooting down ten lanterns. Please refer to"Complete History of Witchcraft" for link to a video guide.

  • Baba Yaga: Unearth all Survival Caches in the Wicked Vale

There are six Survival Caches in total, all which are marked on your world map. Take note, though, that you won't be able to get the last three until after you complete the Baba Yaga DLC. Please refer below to "Complete History of Witchcraft" for link to a video guide.

  • Baba Yaga: Collect all of the Documents in the Wicked Vale

In total, there are twenty-two documents to collect. You won't be able to get a few of them until after you complete the Baba Yaga DLC, though. For a full video walkthrough of all collectible-based achievements in this DLC, refer to this playlist guide by 360GameTV.

  • Baba Yaga: Complete every Wicked Vale Score Attacks with a gold score

There are only two Baba Yaga levels and the requirement for a gold score is a joke in my opinion. You need a score of 32,000 to get a Gold Score on both levels.

Level: Return to the Wicked Vale
    Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
    Challenges: Doesn't Matter
    Recommended Cards to Use

    • One Life to Live
    • First Aid

    Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
    Challenges: Doesn't Matter

    Recommended Cards to Use

    • One Life to Live
    • First Aid
    • Toxicity
    • Tool Chest
  • Baba Yaga: Attempt any Wicked Vale Score Attack

This is a simple achievement. Go to Expeditions and choose Return to the Wicked Vale or Witch's Cave.

You will get this while going for "Witch Trails."

  • Baba Yaga: Confuse an enemy with the Dreamstinger

Refer to "Bravo's Legacy" for more nformation.

  • Baba Yaga: Confuse 10 enemies with the Dreamstinger

In order to get this achievement, you will need to equip the Dreamstinger Bow and use Poison Arrows to Confuse your enemies. I ecommend doing this achievement in Score Attack so you can use the Toxicity Card (using the Dreamstinger Bow uses your poison arrows).

Level: The Tower or Chamber of Souls
    Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
    Challenges: Doesn't Matter

    Required Cards to Use

    • Dreamstinger
    • Wraithskin
    • Toxicity
  • Baba Yaga: Kill 50 enemies while wearing the Wraithskin outfit

While wearing the Wraithskin Outfit, simply kill fifty enemies in Score Attack or in the Campaign. I recommend doing this achievement in Score Attack so that you can use the Toxicity Card for quick kills.

Level: The Tower or Chamber of Souls
    Difficulty: Doesn't Matter
    Challenges: Doesn't Matter

    Required Cards to Use

    • Dreamstinger
    • Wraithskin
    • Toxicity
  • Baba Yaga: Speak to Nadia again before leaving the Wicked Vale

After defeating Baba Yaga, just talk to Nadia in the chamber before leaving the Vale.

DLC: Cold Darkness Awakened

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Collect all 8 documents

    Challenge to Select:

    • Uncovering the Truth

There are eight documents hidden around the level. The location of the map that shows you were all eight documents is located southeast of the central core; it's in a guard tower.

NOTE: All eight Documents must be collected before going into the third tower.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Kill 20 enemies with Dragonfire Shotgun Rounds

    Challenge to Select:

    • Give a Man a Fire

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Cat and Mouse
    • Any Level V Shotgun or you can find one in the level but you probably spend more time searching for one then killing enemies

The reason it's suggested to use the Cat and Mouse card is because all Shotgun ammo used turns into Dragonfire Shotgun Rounds. Just be aware that this also makes the enemies better at evading shots, which could be problem if you're trying to go for the "Spinning Leaf" achievement.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Pick up 6 different weapons

    Challenge to Select:

    • Armed For Bear

Throughout the level, Nadia will tell you the location of weapons. Collect any six to complete the challenge. Hold to pick up a weapon. Weapons are in random spots except for the revolver; you find near the start of the level every time.

NOTE: Six different weapons need to be collected before going into the third Tower.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Get 5 headshots with the regular arrows in 1:00

    Challenge to Select:

    • Spinning Leaf

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider
    • Any Level V Bow card or you can use the one you start off with
    • Hunter Sense

You can get this at anytime during the level as long as you get five headshots within one minute using regular arrows (no fire, poison, or explosive arrows allowed). Letting the enemies know where you are is beneficial, as it will force them to comes towards you. If you do this, I highly suggest using Hunter Sense to slow down time when the bow is fully drawn; this will allow you to to easily get a headshot.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Open 6 upgrade pry chests

    Challenge to Select

    • Legendary Gunsmith

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider

Throughout the level, Nadia will tell you the locations of chests to pry open. Open any six to complete the challenge. There is always one chest after you shutdown a tower, so you need to have five chests open by the time you shut down the last tower.

To open a chest, keep tapping the button to pry it open. Using Survival Instincts will also help you find these pry chests because they are randomly place each time you play the level.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Rescue 6 prisoners

    Challenge to Select

    • To the Rescue

Throughout the level, Nadia will tell you the locations of prisoners that need to be rescued. Rescue any six to complete the challenge. To rescue a prisoner, press or hold while standing behind them. The location of the prisoners are always different every time you play.

NOTE: The six prisoners need to be rescue before going into the third Tower.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Shutdown all the towers without making any mistakes

    Challenge to Select

    • Perfectionist

    Recommended Cards to use:

    • Tomb Raider

This is a very simple achievement. Just take your time and listen to Nadia's instructions to make sure you get the right answer during the tower shutdown sequences. You can click on to view the question as many times as you need to. Triggering Survival Instincts does highlight what you are looking for and you can review everything by pressing .

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Complete Cold Darkness

Story-related and can't be missed. Refer to "Combat Specialist" for more information.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Kill 75 enemies in a single Cold Darkness run

    Challenge to Select

    • An Ocean in Storm

    Recommended cards to use

    • Toxicity

This is another very simple achievement. Just kill seventy-five enemies before you complete the level. Using the Toxicity card is a very effective strategy in killing enemies without looking for ammo and getting seen by them.

Additionally, you should aim to work on this while going for the "Spinning Leaf" and "Give a Man a Fire" achievements.

  • Cold Darkness Challenge: Complete Cold Darkness without dying

    Challenge to Select

    • Combat Specialist

Simply shutdown all three chemical production towers as part of the main objectives in this DLC. Once that has been down, you must shutdown the central core and escape via the helicopter without dying.

It doesn't matter as to which difficulty you do this on.
