Welcome to Warface, a free-to-play FPS developed by Crytek exclusively for PC & Xbox 360. The game features four versus game modes including Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Plant the Bomb and Storm which all support 16 players. A Co-op mode supporting up to 5 players is also present featuring two tutorial missions and three difficulty-tiered missions that change on a daily basis. You are able to play from four different classes each with their unique availability of weapons and roles; Rifleman, Medic, Engineer, and Sniper.

Note 1: All in-game stats, ranks, currency bank, unlocks and achievement progression are stored on realms (servers) individually. Therefore, it is recommended you choose a realm and stick to that realm as none of the above will carry over.

Note 2: You can check your progress of every achievement by going on the Main Menu > Profile > Challenges and scrolling to Achievements.

Versus
There are 6 achievements for 100 that must be unlocked in Versus game modes, this does not include achievements optional to co-op mode. Fortunately, every versus achievement can be unlocked in a private game, 3 of these can be unlocked alone ("Better Off Alone", "Da Bomb" and "Toe in the Water") whilst two achievements can be unlocked with two players ("No "i" in Team" and "Unstoppable") and the final achievement ("Top Dog") will require 6 players.

Co-op
There are 6 achievements for 65 that must be unlocked in Co-op. In addition this, there are 5 achievements for 50 that can be unlocked in either Versus or Co-op. Four of these 5 achievements with the exception of "Skirting Under the Radar" are easily unlocked in Co-op modes. The majority of the co-op achievements are simple and most will unlock through natural play. They typically require you to perform standard actions such as complete a co-op missions without getting knocked down, revive teammates, hand out ammo, get claymore kills, slide kills etc.

Contracts
Contracts are given out in three types (Easy, Hard and Insane), each with their small entry fee and reward. These contracts typically ask you to perform sometimes basic to more difficult actions in-game such as; Earn 15 kills in TDM or 25 slide kills with Machine gun in FFA etc. New contracts changed daily, you are only able to complete one per day. You need to complete 30 contracts for "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" therefore this achievement will take a minimum of 30 days assuming you complete a contract every single day.

Crowns
Crowns are a higher valued currency in the game as opposed to dollars. There are 3 achievements for 35 related to Crowns. Collect 100 Crowns, Acquire a Crown Random box (costs 450 Crowns) and Buy a Crown Weapon (costs 2100 Crowns.) Crowns are easier earned by completing Insane Contracts, but you're also able to earn some bigger Crown rewards by performing well in the co-op missions, although this is often difficult. Therefore, assuming you only earn Crowns from Contracts, the "Oooh...Shiny!" achievement will take you a minimum of 42 days.

Miscellaneous
You will unlock 3 achievements for 60 for earning all the ranked-based achievements (reach level 5, 15 and 30.) You will need to earn $10,000 which will not take very long while playing the co-op missions. Other basic achievements include creating a clan, creating a character and completing training missions.

Conclusion
Warface is fairly simple completion, but is extremely time consuming. Every versus achievement can be boosted in a private game, most of the co-op achievements are also simple if you follow the guide. In terms of difficulty, only the harder co-op missions will give you a little trouble therefore a strong team and communication is essential. Several achievements such as buying a crown weapon, completing 30 contracts, reaching rank 30 and earning 20 badges and stripes will take a long time and require you to log on to the game daily to complete the contracts, so be weary of this if you're going for the completion.

There are 36 achievements with a total of 500 points

  • Create a character

This achievement is extremely simple and is the first one you will get. The achievement is unlocked once the player has created a character, which is required in order to play the game. Simply create your character, and the achievement will pop.

  • Complete the Basic Training

Upon choosing your character for the first time, you will receive the option to play Basic Training. Accept and go through the tutorial consisting of basic actions such as sprinting, crouching, aiming and shooting. The training only lasts 5 minutes. If you do not wish to play the Training at the start, you can select it at any time later within the Play screen on the Main Menu.

  • Finish one match of any Versus mode

This achievement is quite simple. After completing the Basic training, simply select play and go to Versus. Once you have joined a match (either by selecting quick play which will put you in a random match, or by going to the join match menu and choose what specific match you want to join), simply play through to the end. The achievement will pop after completing the match.

  • Finish one round of Co-op on any difficulty level

This will unlock once you complete either Initiation 1 or 2 co-op missions. You can either create your own lobby and wait for players to join, or you can join another players lobby through quick match. Even if you drop into a mission mid-game, you will still unlock the achievement upon completion of the mission.

  • Acquire a Standard or Crown Random Box

You can buy Random Boxes from the Store, and then by selecting Random Boxes on the left. Each Random Box has a different payment method from two choices. Either 150 Kredits or 450 Crowns. If you go with the Kredits method, you will need to buy the minimum 400 Kredits pack for £4/$6. If you go with the Crowns method, assuming you only earn your crowns through completing Insane contracts, you will need to complete those contracts for 9 days.

  • Achieve Rank 5

To reach rank 5, you need 2,350 XP.

See "Going all the way..." for more details.

  • Achieve Rank 15

To reach rank 15, you need 53,000 XP.

See "Going all the way..." for more details.

  • Achieve Rank 30

To reach rank 30, you need 423,700 XP.

This is the longest achievement in the game, and reaching rank 30 will take an extremely long time. The game generally doesn't reward average players well, and even higher performing players will still only gain a small amount of XP compared to how long it takes to rank up between levels. Overall, co-op missions, more specifically the Hardcore tier, will be the quickest way to level up. You can also purchase XP boosters from the store with real money to make levelling up substantially quicker. Assuming you consistently play and complete Hardcore missions without using boosters, a rough estimate for this achievement is 60+ hours.

  • Earn $10,000

You need to earn a total of $10,000, and you do not need a balance of $10,000 therefore you’re free to spend as you earn. You earn cash by completing co-op missions and versus matches, the better you perform, the more you will earn although it is not a large boost. You can also buy Money boosters from the store with real money to earn cash substantially quicker.

  • Collect 100 crowns

Crowns are earned in two ways; completing daily insane contracts and performing well in co-op missions (completion time, headshots, bonus objectives etc.) Insane contracts is probably the easier way to gain crowns, as they offer 50 crowns daily and the requirements for the contract are often easily boostable with a friend and sometimes even possible to complete solo. Therefore, completing the insane contract on two days will earn you this achievement.

Note: Contracts have a $1000 entry fee.

  • Buy any crown weapon

You can buy Crown items from the Store, and then by selecting the class you would like to buy an item from (Rifleman, Medic etc.) The cheapest Crown item currently available is the Crown Gloves which can be found under any of the four classes. Once you pick a class, press 8 times to reach the Gloves section and you will see the Gloves, costing 2100 Crowns. This means, assuming you only earn your crowns through completing Insane contracts, you will need to complete those contracts for 42 days.

Note: Buying the gloves will unlock the achievement for you, but the gloves themselves will only be available to you for 14 days, as stated in-game it still only a rental item costing 2100 Crowns.

  • Win 10 Free-For-All matches

This can be achieved alone in a private Free For All match. Make sure to set the game Private so no one is able to join. You will have to let the 10 minute match time run out to automatically win the match. You will get kicked out of the game after 90 seconds of inactivity, so make sure you counter this however you feel fit.

  • Win 10 Team Deathmatch matches

This can be boosted with a friend in a private Team Deathmatch match. The person winning should get 1 kill, and then have the other player leave the match, thus granting you the win. If you do not get a kill and the other player leaves, even though the game will say you won, it will not count towards your achievement.

  • Win 10 Plant The Bomb matches

This can be achieved alone in a private Plant the Bomb match. Make sure to set the game Private so no one is able to join. You should also set the Team Balancing off under Room Settings, and then choose to be on the Warface team and start the match. Now, you will have 5 rounds to defend the bomb for 3 minutes each time, simply kill yourself with a grenade in each of the round 5 rounds. Now on the sixth and final round you should plant the bomb, wait for the one minute counter for it to blow up which will grant you the win.

  • Complete the Regular, Skilled and Hardcore Co-op missions on a single day

Every day at approximately 3PM GMT, the three difficulty tiered co-op mission change (Regular, Skilled, Hardcore.) You need to first complete the two Initiation mission to unlock the Regular mission, then complete the Regular mission to unlock Skilled mission, and complete Skilled mission to unlock Hardcore mission. Once you have unlocked a mission, it is unlocked permanently, even when missions are changed over.

You need to complete all three missions in a single day within the 24 hour period. It is recommended that you wait until there are convoy missions available for all three missions, as these missions always only include minigun bosses as opposed to the much more difficult mech boss enemy.

The mission themselves typically revolve around leading an A.I. vehicle through the level. The regular missions are not too difficult, but the skilled and hardcore missions should only be attempted in a full team of five players, with everyone assigned to their necessary classes (two medics, three riflemen is a good setup in most situations.) It will also help if you have a few resurrection coins saved up, you will initially receive a free coin every day you log into the game, but more can also be bought with real money from the store.

The three co-op missions carry over the previous difficulty in the daily rotation i.e. today’s regular mission will be tomorrows skilled mission, and todays skilled mission will be tomorrows hardcore mission etc. But the difficulty of the A.I. is retained for each mission tier.

  • Kill 3 enemies with a single grenade in Co-op or Versus

This can be boosted with 4 players in a private Free For All or Team Deathmatch. Alternatively, you can easily achieve this in Initiation B (Afghanistan) co-op mission. Once you exit the chopper, select your grenade with and start sprinting forward and up the stairs where several enemies will spawn from (around 6-8.) At this point, you should huddle up close to the enemies and cook your grenade by holding , at which point you will commit suicide and with you kill multiple enemies. The enemies tend to move around and sometimes even run away once you cook you grenade, so this may take a couple attempts.

  • Earn a kill streak of 10 in Versus

This can be boosted with a friend in a private Free For All or Team Deathmatch match. Make sure to go to their spawn and kill them there as they will keep spawning in the exact same spot.

  • Deal over 50% of the damage to any enemy boss in a Co-op mission

There are two types of bosses in the co-op missions, the heavy armoured minigun enemy, and the giant mech robot. The minigun boss is only available on Regular, Skilled & Hardcore missions, whilst the mech robot is only available on Skilled & Hardcore co-op missions. This achievement is easier done against the minigun enemy, simply work tactically with your teammate so you’re able to get in as many shots on his back as you can, as this is the only spot he will take damage from gunfire. The medic class is the best choice for this as you will have the shotgun and a defibrillator, both can do a substantial amount of damage against the minigun. It should also be noted that you will need to kill the boss after dealing half of the damage to it for the achievement to unlock.

  • Complete a Co-op mission without being knocked-down or killed

This is easiest done on either Initiation 1 or 2 co-op missions, as they do not have boss enemies and provide you with very low numbers of riot shield and sniper enemies. It will be a good idea to play with a full group of 5 players, so that your team is not overwhelmed at any point. The Initiation missions only last around 15 minutes so just hang back throughout but stay close to your teammates. The only way to get knocked down is when riot shield enemy charges at you. If you either get picked up after getting knocked down, or revived after getting kill, you will not unlock the achievement.

  • Be the first player back to the helicopter in any Co-op mission

This can be unlocked in any of the co-op missions including the two Initiation missions. The chopper appears twice in each mission, at the midpoint and again at the end of the mission, so you have two opportunities to get this achievement each time you attempt a mission. A green “Evacuation" symbol will appear on screen and the woman on the HUD will also let you know when the chopper has arrived for pick-up. Simply make sure you're the first to step inside the chopper, and the achievement will unlock immediately.

  • Create or Join a Clan

To create a clan, go to Main Menu > Profile> Clans > My Clan. It costs $2500 to create a clan. Alternatively, you can join an existing clan. Once you’re invited to one, you will receive a message on screen on weather to accept or decline the invitation.

  • Successfully complete 30 Contracts

    Contracts are given out daily in three different types;

    Easy Contract: Entry fee - $100 & Reward - $300
    Hard Contract: Entry fee - $500 & Reward - $1000
    Insane Contract: Entry fee - $1000 & Reward – 50 Crowns

You can check current Contracts either while in a lobby or on the Profile screen accessed from the Main menu. You can only choose one contract each day, and once you complete it you will see a time until new contracts are available. Simply complete contracts of your choice, on 30 different days. It is advised that you always choose the Insane contract as you will need the crowns for the "Fit for a King" and "Oooh...Shiny!" achievements.

  • Complete all class training sessions

There are three Training missions to complete, all of which are accessed in the Play screen from the Main Menu. Basic training is unlocked from the start, Medic Training will unlock once you have played 30 minutes of either public or private versus or co-op games, and the Engineer Training is unlocked once you have played 60 minutes. Once you complete the training for these classes, you will unlock their corresponding classes to use online.

  • Finish with the highest point total in any Versus match (minimum six players)

This can be boosted with 6 players in a private Free For All. Have the player going for the achievement get a couple kills then let the timer run out, as the achievement only unlocks at the end of the match. If you are not a very skilled player and can't finish in first with randoms, set up a boosting group of six other people over on the Warface Forum.

  • Customise all slots of any primary weapon

The first two attachments you unlock will be the Shared Silencer and the Reflex Sight. Once unlocked, start a game as a Medic and press to bring up the weapon attachments screen, now attach the silencer with and the scope with for the achievement. Attachments are unlocked by earning Vendor points (VP) which are earned by completing co-op missions and versus matches, similar to XP but at a slight slower pace.

Once you unlock an attachment, they are available to you straight away, you do not have to buy them. You can check the progression towards your current attachment unlock by going into the Vendor menu either while in a lobby or on the Profile screen accessed from the Main Menu. Then press to enter the Vendor catalogue, and press twice for equipment. You will also see your progress when you earn the VP at the end of missions and matches.

  • Perform 10 climbs with your teammates in Co-op

You can perform climbs on walls that have the golden climb symbols across them. You should approach them and hold to kneel and have a teammate step up on you as you follow them up as well. There are many of these climb opportunities on the two Initiation co-op missions alone, and therefore this will come naturally.

Note: Although the achievement says otherwise, you can also perform climbs and unlock the achievement in Versus game modes as well.

  • Kill 5 enemies while sliding in Co-op or Versus

To perform a slide, you must be sprinting with then press while still sprinting to initiate the slide. The easiest weapon to get kills with while sliding is the starter shogun in the Medic class, as it will kill your enemy with one shot at such a close range. This can be boosted with a friend in a private Free For All or Team Deathmatch match. Make sure to go to their spawn and kill them there as they will keep spawning in the exact same spot.

  • Revive teammates 10 times in Co-op or Versus

To revive teammates, you must be playing as the Medic class (unlocked by completing the Medic Training.) Press twice to use the defibrillator to revive players. This is easier done in co-op missions over versus, and more specifically the skilled and Hardcore missions, as your teammates will likely die more often, and therefore you should also take caution when reviving players so that you’re not killed in the process too.

  • As a Rifleman, hand out 10,000 bullets to teammates in Co-op or Versus

The rifleman class is unlocked once you complete Basic Training. To hand ammo out as the class, press then towards an teammate low on ammo. You can tell if a player is in need of ammo if their symbol is orange when you have your ammo box aimed at them. You can only carry 10 boxes of ammo, meaning 10 resupplies per life or checkpoint.

  • Get 30 kills with claymores or mines in Co-op or Versus

Claymores can only be equipped by playing as the Engineer class (cog symbol.) This can be boosted with a friend in a private Free For All or Team Deathmatch. Alternatively, you can easily achieve this in Initiation B (Afghanistan) co-op mission. Once you exit the chopper, select your claymore by pressing twice and start sprinting forward and up the stairs where several enemies will spawn from (around 6-8.) At this point simply place your claymore in the middle of that room and run away so you’re not killed in the blast. Seconds later you should get 3-6 kills depending on how many enemies were close to the blast. Repeat until you reach 30 kills.

DLC: Title Update

There are 6 achievements with a total of 100 points

  • Win 10 Storm matches

This can be achieved alone in a private Storm match. Make sure to set the game Private so no one is able to join. You should also set the Team Balancing off under Room Settings, and then choose to be on the Blackwood team and start the match.

You must now capture three command posts one at a time. Their location will be revealed on the map and each command post takes 60 seconds to capture. Once this round is over, you will be switched to the Warface team where you will now need to defend the post for 5 minutes after which you will win the game. You will get kicked out of the game after 90 seconds of inactivity, so make sure your counter this however you feel fit.

  • Complete any Co-op mission while playing as part of a Clan

This is achieved by completing any co-op mission while being part of a clan, and whether you’re the leader of the clan or just member, it does not matter. You’re also not required to play the mission with your clan members either, it can be anyone. The achievement will unlock once you complete the co-op mission. See “Buddy Up” for more details on how to create/join a clan.

  • Kill a Heavy Gunner using Defibrilators in any Co-op mission

The heavy gunner boss is available in all Regular, Skilled and Hardcore co-op missions. You must play as the medic class to equip the defibrillator by pressing twice. The best way to go about this is to let your teammates deal most of the damage to the boss. Once the gunner has about 20-30% of his health left you will need to try and get behind the gunner and shock him as quickly as possible. The defibrillator will damage the gunner on any body part, but his back is the most sensitive to damage, and because the defibrillator has a cool down time, you will need to watch the gunners health at all times to see when to next finish him off. This may take a couple attempts but on a Regular mission the gunners are not too difficult to play around with, so just be consistent with it. This should also be attempted with a group you're able to communicate with so that your teammates do not accidentally kill the gunner.

  • Collect 20 Marks

To check how many Marks you have unlocked and your progress for them, go to Profile > Challenges and the Marks menu will be highlighted. There are a total of 104 Marks including the flag packs. The easiest way to earn this achievement is to buy 20 flag packs from the store in the packs menu. Each flag pack costs $120 of the in-game currency so you only need to spend $2400 total. As the flag packs may not always be available in the store, you will need to work on the other Marks which are all Versus based and mostly involve getting kills with various weapons.

  • Collect 20 Badges

To check how many Badges you have unlocked and your progress for them, go to Profile > Challenges and press once to see the Badges menu highlighted. There are a total of 73 Badges including a single flag pack. As you can only be awarded one badge no matter how many flag packs you purchase, you will need to work on the other badges which are a little more difficult and specific compared to the Marks. Badges involve the same requirements as Marks as well as earning awards, different types of kills and performing different actions with equipment.

  • Collect 20 Stripes

To check how many Stripes you have unlocked and your progress for them, go to Profile > Challenges and press twice to see the Stripes menu highlighted. There are a total of 87 Stripes including a single flag pack. As you can only be awarded one stripe no matter how many flag packs you purchase, you will need to work on the other stripes which are significantly more difficult and complex than both the Marks & Badges. Stripes are mostly Co-op based and involve some of the Badge requirements as well as performing various actions in Co-op on Hardcore difficulty and earning higher multipliers.
