Introduction:
"Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a sci-fi puzzle-platformer of CATACLYSMIC proportions. You’re a Blob with mutant powers and an insatiable appetite… and you’ve escaped into the world. Consume Everything. Regret Nothing." - mutantblobsattack.com

Mutant Blobs Attack is a 2D, B-movie inspired title that has you, a blob, eating everything you can, growing to a massive size and yeah, eating more stuff. There are 24 levels to playthrough, and your blob grows and evolves as you progress, learning new skills and tricks. The game presents itself well, plays nicely and is relatively straightforward as far as achievements go.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
You will get most of the achievements by simply playing through the game, you will gain half achievements just by playing through all regular and mini game levels. The ones you have to try for will be getting gold medallions in each level for "Golden Blob" and collecting all Blob Friends for "Blob Friends Forever." For the gold medallions, you need to eat almost everything in each level, and collect the Blob Friends, although some levels are a little more forgiving. See the achievement description for "Blob Friends Forever" for a great guide for the friends. The only semi-missable achievements are "Delicious Magnetic Balls!" and "Extinction," so pay attention in level 20 and the final level.

Online/Mop Up:
You should be pretty much done now, and only have the "online" achievement left. You only have to access the leaderboards and look up a top score for "Jealous?"

Conclusion:
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is an interesting title, fun while it lasts and shouldn't give anybody any real challenge when it comes to achievements.

  • Eat the magnetic balls at the end of end of Chapter 5

Right near the end of the last level of chapter five, you will see a spike pit with four small floating magnets above it. Jump across and consume them all for this one.

  • Earn a silver medallion or better in five levels

    See "Golden Blob."

  • Look up the top score on any leaderboard

Go to leaderboards and check out the top score on the leaderboards. Simply hit  to view your friends leaderboard and it should pop right away unless you have a ton of friends that have this on their tag.

  • You will get this as you play along. Anything you eat, with exception of the blue orbs counts as an item. You will mostly get this around chapter four, so no need to grind it.

  • Eat all of the escape pods in the final level

During the last level, once you get to the outside of Earth and go to consume it, you will see ten escape pods fly out. You will have to circle the planet with boost (/) to try and get them all. The best way to do this is to hit the earth at about the 4 o'clock position. The first group of three leave at the six o'clock position, and from there you should be able to pick the rest off in a few tries. If you miss any, hit  to restart from the checkpoint.

  • Complete all mini-game levels

There are four mini games, one on each chapter. They are all straightforward, much easier than the regular levels so shouldn't give you any trouble.

  • Collect all Blob Friends in the game

Each level has two Blob Friends to find (exept the mini games which have one). Most of them can be found with a little exploring, but if you get stuck, you can refer to this fantastic guide made by rospondek over at PST. The Blobs guide starts at post three.

  • Earn a gold medallion in every level

To earn a gold medallion in a level, you will have to eat almost everything you can and get both of the Blob Friends. Some of the levels are more forgiving than others, but if you are struggling then make sure to explore as much as you can. There is no time limit, and you can die as much as you like as you are simply scored on what you eat and the Blob Friends. Use  if you miss a lot during a section where you are falling or being forced through a pipe to restart the previous checkpoint.
