Introduction:
Most people who grew up after 1990 will be familiar with the Goosebumps series of books. Aimed at early teens, these soft-horror books sold in their millions. This game is based in the Goosebumps world, and references several of the stories and characters. A point-and-click style adventure, making it through the story isn't hard and won't take you long, but there are a bunch of misceallaneous achievements and a few that may take a little planning.
Step 1 - Playthrough 1 - Speed Run
There is one achievement for completing the game in 175 turns or less, so it is not possible to get everything in one go. A full step by step walkthrough written by Gage over at PST can be found HERE. Follow this guide to the letter, and you will guarantee you get everything done in two goes. Of course, if you would rather play blind, it is recommended to swap these two playthroughs around so you can work out your path for the optimum speed run.
Step 2 - Playthrough 2 - Casual Run
Following the guide mentioned below, this run will gain you all of the other achievements that you did not get in your speed run. Even though this is not a speed run, it should only take around 90 minutes or so.
Step 3 - Mop Up
If you managed to miss anything in your casual run, you may need another partial playthrough to get any stragglers.
Conclusion:
Goosebumps: The Game isn't a bad point-and-click adventure, but like the books it is aimed for the younger player. As most of us here are that little bit older, the story isn't terribly engaging although there are a few entertaining bits. Fortunately the game is over before you have really started and provides a very easy 1000.
