Introduction:
Things are going pretty good for Jesse and the crew. Days of adventuring are behind our heroes it would seem. Living cushy lives, running their own towns, and such. Jesse even has a personal assistant by the name of Radar.
Petra needs our help with something in the mine. What was supposed to be an easy romp through a mine becomes something much more. Time to head on adventure to find a solution.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Unlike season 1, all achievements are story related this time. So just make your choices how you want to and enjoy the game/story. Also, unlike other Telltale games, the combat in this game is freely controlled (as opposed to Quick Time Events in other Telltale games) and that is the only reason I've ranked this as a 2/10 in difficulty instead of 1/10, since you can't just sit back and press buttons the entire time. Lastly, each episode has a free roam section and/or puzzle to solve, so the solutions will be in the relevant chapter's achievement solution in the guide. Beating the game will net you all of the achievements though, so enjoy the story.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 1 of Season 2 starts off with some peaceful roaming around Beacontown. Eventually Petra will ask you to help her in the mines. After some playing around (racing, beating some minor enemies, etc.) things quickly escalate and it turns out you're in for more than you expected. As mentioned in the overall roadmap, if you've played the first season, all achievements in this episode and season are story related, so make whatever choices you want throughout the episode and consult the guide if you get stuck.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 2 sees you meeting a new villain, the Admin. You'll go on a quest for him, complete a challenge, and fight some enemies, but it's a pretty short and simple episode. As with all episodes, all of the achievements are story related and can't be missed, so make whatever choices you want and enjoy the story.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The third episode sees you going to prison and eventually escaping. If you're stuck on what to do to progress in the free roam section, refer to the guide below. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 4 involves a lot of combat and sees you making your way back to Beacontown to confront the Admin. If you weren't used to the combat before, you definitely will be after this episode. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
You finally confront the Admin in this episode for the finale, and you'll need to determine the fate of Beacontown. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.
Conclusion:
Season 2 of Minecraft Story Mode is now complete and it's another wild adventure for the protagonists. If you're a fan of Minecraft, then you'll likely enjoy another adventure. However, this game and its story were a bit rushed, so compared to other Telltale games it's a bit lacking, but it's still an easy and relatively quick completion.
