Microsoft has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will indeed be a day one Xbox Game Pass release, following today's earlier Xbox Game Pass app notification outing the news earlier than planned.

“We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass,” the official announcement on the Xbox Wire reads. The post adds that “in-depth gameplay” will also be unveiled during the Black Ops 6 Direct after the Xbox Games Showcase on 9th June.

“Get eyes on the first in-depth look at gameplay in this dark new chapter of the Black Ops series,” the Xbox Wire post adds. Hopefully, we'll get a release date, too.

You can tune in to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct reveal following the Xbox Games Showcase at 10am PT on Sunday 9th June. Until then, you can check out the Black Ops 6 live-action reveal below, which reveals pretty much nothing.

  • Over CoD but will give this a look since it's launching on GP. Hopefully, they don't try to charge for the PvP or some shit.
  • Didn't realise they were up to 6. I haven't played a COD in years but if it's on GP I'll give it a go.
  • @DEG If you get a chance, try out the Modern Warfare 2019 reboot and Black Ops: Cold War. In a sea of shit, those two titles definitely stood out.
  • Would love to try out more modern COD games but the price of entry is too high and the newer ones I have played, haven't supported split-screen which is a deal breaker.
  • When Saddam Hussein lights his lighter there are numbers that flash for a single frame:
    33.249905, 44.269634
The coordinates of Saddam Hussein's Palace.
