Best Xbox Games of 2016

As far as years go, 2016 was a pretty seismic year, for many, many reasons. There are fewer things in the past decade or two that have had more of an impact than Donald Trump winning the US Presidential election, and the UK voting to leave the EU thanks to the bloody Brexit vote. On top of that though, 2016 was the year the Panama Papers leaked, the year of the Paris Climate Change Agreement, and perhaps the most bizarre sporting outcome in the history of sports, when Leicester City, a 5000/1 longshot, won the Premier League! 2016 was also the year that we first saw Stranger Things and Westworld, while we saw the return of Jason Bourne after a 9-year hiatus, as well as the release of the brilliant Arrival and Rogue One, as well as Batman vs. Superman. Music legends David Bowie, Prince and sports legend Muhammad Ali all sadly passed away. In terms of games, Microsoft closed legendary UK studio Lionhead, Pokemon GO launched, as did No Man’s Sky (yikes). It was also the year that saw the PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch get unveiled, while the PSVR finally launched. 2016 was a weird year! It was, however, a decent year for games though! Here’s the best Xbox games of 2016.
