Sure, many of Alan Wake 2’s other collectibles have a purpose. Alex Casey Lunch Boxes give you Manuscript Fragments to upgrade weapons, the Cult Stashes give you supplies, and the Nursery Rhymes give you the game’s Charms. Then there are some that are just… fun!
Throughout Saga’s journey in Alan Wake 2, in the “Return” chapters, you may come across what the game refers to as Koskela Brothers Commercials - or Koskela Ads.
These ads are humorous and rather bizarre commercials, created by two of Alan Wake 2’s characters: Ilmo and Jakko, two Finnish locals who seem to have their fingers in lots of different pies.
While they’re amusing to watch and collect, they don’t add anything to the game per se. However, if you manage to collect all 6, then you’ll unlock The Koskela Brothers achievement. And like most things in Alan Wake 2, they are missable.
You’ll find the 6 in 4 different chapters (1, 3, 5 and 8), so, if you want the aforementioned trophy, keep an eye out for them or, follow our trusty guide.
The 6 different Koskela brothers commercials can be found at the following locations.
Adventure Tours - “Return 1: Invitation” - In the room next to the Conference Room (the Employee Lounge) in the Bright Falls Sheriff Station, you’ll find a TV with this TV show playing on it.
Return 3 Local Girl Koskela Ads
Coffee World - “Return 3: Local Girl” - In the foyer of the Elderwood Palace Lodge is a TV (near reception). This ad will be playing when you’re leaving the Lodge itself.
Ahma Beer - “Return 3: Local Girl” - Head into the Oh Deer Diner and this will be playing on the TV in there.
Parade Floats - “Return 3: Local Girl” - In the Lighthouse Trailer Park, go in the number 1 trailer, opposite the Andersons, and this will be playing in the lounge.
Return 5: Old Gods Koskela Ad
Bright Falls Blend - “Return 5: Old Gods” - In the Rec Room of the Valhalla Nursing Home.
Return 8: Deerfest Koskela Ad
Return Review - “Return 8: Deerfest” - Head into the Oh Deer Diner once again to get the sixth and final Koskelas Ad.
