Alan Wake 2 - All Alex Casey Lunch Box Locations

The best collectibles in video games are those that actually have worthwhile and meaningful gameplay benefits. Thankfully Alan Wake 2 is chock full of them. While Nursery Rhymes will reward you with Charms to equip and the Cult Stashes will offer loot aplenty, Alex Casey Lunch Boxes will reward Saga with Manuscript Fragments.

Manuscript Fragments are a type of currency in Alan Wake 2, and they can be used to upgrade weapons in Saga’s Mind Place. So, you could argue, they’re more valuable than any of the other collectibles.

There are 21 Alex Casey Lunch Boxes to seek out in all: there’s 8 in Cauldron Lake, 7 in Bright Falls and 6 in Watery. However, like the aforementioned Nursery Rhymes and Cult Stashes, you’ll have to wait until the end of chapter 5, “Return 5: Old Gods,” so that you have access to the Screwdriver from chapter 3 (“Return 3: Local Girl”) and Alan Wake 2’s Boltcutters.

Once you do, you’ll have access to all the areas you need to then - like the Cauldron Lake Rental Cabins, for instance - and be able to unlock all 21 Alex Casey Lunch Boxes (and unlock the Hidden by the Trees trophy if you’ve got all the Cult Stashes too).

Below you will find the location of all of the Alex Casey Lunch Boxes, so you can get upgrading those weapons.

Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box Locations

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #1 - Next to the Mortar Falls lookout point (northwest of the Bony-Legged path) is a Lunch Box. Inside the Lunch Box are 2 Manuscript Fragments.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #2 - West of the Witch’s Hut is a camp-site. On the northern edge is a Lunch Box which has a fragment inside. Has Manuscript Fragments inside.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #3 - To the northeast of the General Store is a path that leads up to a landslide. Follow the path up to the top and the Lunch Box with 1 Manuscript Fragment inside is at the top.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #4 - Southwest of the Murder Site is a campsite, where you’ll find this Lunch Box with Manuscript Fragments inside (it’s south-southeast of the “Witch’s Ladle” text on the map). Has 3 Manuscript Fragments inside.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #5 - Once you get the Shortcut Key from the deputy, on your way to Bright Falls, about midway up is the FBC Station. Behind it, up a ledge, is a Lunch Box with 2 Manuscript Fragments inside.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #6 - East of the Witchfinder’s Station is this Lunch Box. Inside is 9 Manuscript Fragments.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #7 - With the water subsided at the end of “Return 2: The Heart,” you can take the stream north of the Witch’s Hut now. There’s a Lunch Box there, which contains 9 Manuscript Fragments.

• Cauldron Lake Alex Casey Lunch Box #8 - In the Rental Cabins area, which you can access when you unlock the Boltcutters. It’s inside cabin #2 and contains 9 Manuscript Fragments.

 

Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box Locations

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #1 - In the far north near the Radio Tower is this Lunch Box with 7 Manuscript Fragments in it.

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #2 - After crossing the bridge to get to the west side of the water, on the way to Coffee World, there’s a small picnic area (with a tent). The Lunch Box is by the tent.

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #3 - At the southern entrance/exit to Coffee World, you’ll find this Lunch Box inside the yellow easterly coffee percolator tower with 9 Manuscript Fragments in it.

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #4 - In the northwest corner of the Lighthouse Trailer Park, behind some swings. Contains 7 Manuscript Fragments.

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #5 - On the northside of the Kalevala Knights Workshop (outside), you’ll find a boat next to a shed. The Lunch Box is between the two.

• Watery Alex Casey Lunch Box #6 - Just slightly north of the Break Room just north of the Watery Lighthouse is a Lunch Box. There are 9 Manuscript Fragments inside.

 

Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box Locations

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #1 - Found by the tree near the gazebo in Founder’s Park in Bright Falls (east of town, on the corner of Harbor Street and Biltmore Avenue). There’s 5 Manuscript Pieces inside.

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #2 - Southwest of the Break Room in the Bunker Woods (west of the Cult Stash) is a Lunch Box (it’s slightly west of the paths that make a triangle shape).

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #3 - Just north of the Ranger Station, on the bottom of a D path, is another Alex Casey Lunch Box. Inside are 8 Manuscript Fragments.

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #4 - Inside the Valhalla Nursing Home. In the office to the right as you go in the main doors. Inside are 5 Manuscript Fragments.

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #5 - Southwest of the Valhalla Nursing Home, in the middle of the paths that form a loop of sorts. Contains 9 Manuscript Fragments.

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #6 - east-northeast from the Ranger Station is another Alex Casey Lunch Box, by the trees, close to the main path that leads back to Downtown Bright Falls.

• Bright Falls Alex Casey Lunch Box #7 - Just southwest of Billie’s Boat Yard (southwest of the Elderwood Palace Lodge) is a Lunch Box. Inside are 9 Manuscript Fragments.
