    Halo 3: View 2 different sigils on Valhalla.

      

  • How to unlock Elder Signs

    Similar to the seasonal change in the “No Swimming” sign on Halo 2’s Multiplayer map Zanzibar, you will find a unique message written in white lettering on the Forerunner wall (behind the machine gun turret) of Valhalla depending on the specific date. The following dates are when different messages can be found on the side of the base:

    • January 1st (New Year's Day): Make Love Not War
    • April 22nd (Earth Day): A skull with a recycling sign
    • May 5th (Cinco De Mayo): Toady Was Live!
    • July 4th (Independence Day): BBQ at Bob's
    • October 31st (Halloween): A grave stone that has the initials "R.I.P."
    • November 11th (Veteran's Day): Kilroy Was Here
    • December 25th (Christmas): A Christmas light with an “X” marked through it

    Approach these sigils on two different dates and zoom in to view the new messages presented. Take note that this achievement is best done in a Custom Game when the specific dates arrive. The achievement will unlock once two different sigils have been viewed.

    You will also get an unique sigil on July 7th (Bungie Day) That will count towards this achievement. :-)

    If you're doing this legit (with no date manipulation), make sure the achievement progress at 50% after looking at your first sigil.
