Phantom Hunter Achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection

During the midpoint of this mission, where you are required to pilot a Hornet in order to proceed to the second objective, you will notice a Covenant Phantom (enemy Phantoms are purple, friendly Phantoms are green) deploying an Anti-Air Wraith on a plateau in the distance. After the Phantom pulls back, focus your attention on the Banshees and Wraith. Once these units have been destroyed, close in on the Covenant dropship as it retreats to the third tower. Again, focus your attention on the Banshees in this area before finally unloading the Hornet’s rockets and machine gun into the Phantom’s hull.

Since this is the only Covenant Phantom that appears in this mission, this achievement must be earned over separate playthroughs or by reloading your checkpoint. If you are loading this mission from the Campaign lobby, make sure to pick Rally Point Alpha. This will place you at the moment where you are required to pilot the Hornet. Once a total of three Phantoms have been destroyed on this mission, the achievement will finally unlock.
