Scarab Lord Achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection

This Easter Egg can be found in the mission, Metropolis.

The Scarab Gun is a hidden egg in the aforementioned mission that looks like a standard Plasma Rifle, but holds the firepower of a Scarab’s focus cannon. This weapon has unlimited ammo, a bottomless clip, and never overheats. Take note that it is only accessible in this mission and will not carry over to any other mission in the game. With that said, be sure to follow the step-by-step guidelines below in order to acquire the Scarab Gun. It’s a very complicated procedure, so playing on a lower difficulty setting with another player may ease the tension.

• At the start of the mission, kill all of your allies
• Proceed through the mission normally
• When you get to the end of the bridge, hijack a Covenant Ghost and kill all enemy ground vehicles and troops
• At this point, there should be a Banshee flying overhead
• Lure the Banshee into the tunnel by driving the Ghost in reverse
• Fire around the Banshee to keep his interest, but do not damage the Banshee
• About halfway through the tunnel, Marines will appear in a Warthog; kill them and all other Covenant forces that get in your way
• Continue luring the Banshee through the tunnel
• Once you reach the blockade, exit the Ghost and lure the Banshee through the blockade by firing around it with your weapon
• In the detour hallway, lure the Banshee to the left path that leads to the next section of the mission
• At this point, the Banshee will get stuck due to the narrowness of the tunnel so carefully shoot off its wings
• As the Banshee attempts to move further into the tunnel, be prepared to board it
• When the "Loading ..." message appears on the screen, hijack the Banshee
  • The Banshee will disappear if you do not board the Banshee when the prompt reads "Loading...done"
• Piloting the Banshee, proceed out of the tunnel and fly towards the suspension bridges in the distance
• At the very top of the bridge, the Scarab Gun will be hovering on above an orange cone

This process is very complicated despite the simplicities of the steps detailed above. This is because the Banshee has a tendency to lose interest and flee the tunnel and at other times, the Banshee will get stuck towards the final stretch inside the detour tunnel.
