Halo 2: Beat the par score on every Halo 2 level.

  • How to unlock Arcade Owner

Before anything, make sure to turn on "Scoring HUD" in the Campaign Lobby before starting a mission. In order to achieve the Par Score on all ten missions with Halo 2's Campaign, you will want to take three things into account.

First, manually activate the Anger, Famine, Fog, Grunt Birthday Party, Sputnik, and Thunderstorm skulls in the lobby and set the difficulty to Heroic. You will definitely want to activate the Jacked skull on any mission that DOES NOT contain ground vehicles; this includes Cairo Station, The Arbiter, The Oracle, Regret, Sacred Icon, Gravemind, and High Charity. Activating this skull adds an additional 1.20x multiplier and since these missions do not have ground vehicles, it's essential a "free" multiplier since the skull's effects are nonexistent.

Unfortunately, Par Scores cannot be obtained in Co-Op play, so just stick with a solo playthrough of each mission here. Secondly, you will want to try completing the mission as quickly as possible (finishing under Par Time will give a x3 multiplier to your final score) while still killing everything on the battlefield via headshots and multikills; do not skip firefights or leave anyone alive. Lastly, if you do happen to run over Par Time, try picking up the pace as the time multiplier will begin to reduce significantly!

You can use the checklist below for a reference on each mission’s Par Score:

    • Cairo Station - 14,000
    • Outskirts – 8,000
    • Metropolis – 9,000
    • The Arbiter – 7,000
    • The Oracle – 16,000
    • Delta Halo – 10,000
    • Regret – 8,000
    • Sacred Icon – 7,000
    • Quarantine Zone – 7,000
    • Gravemind – 11,000
    • Uprising – 9,000
    • High Charity – 9,000
    • The Great Journey – 8,000

Once you beat the Par Score for all thirteen missions, this achievement will unlock.

Be sure to sift through the various informative posts to garner a better understanding of which specific skull sets to use on specific missions of each Campaign, especially Halo 2.

  • Okay, is anyone else having this problem? I get so far into a level and then kills stop giving me points so these achievements are absolutely impossible for me to unlock! I get the kill and the medals show, but each kill says "0" in red lettering in the bottom right of the screen where points normally are. Can anyone help? Does anyone else have this problem?
  • yeah. you died to many times. Meaning you lost so many points that its detecting its impossible to go near or over 25,000
  • It doesn't happen between deaths, though. It will be like I go to kill a few Grunts and I get the points and then kill some other Grunts and an Elite or whatever in the same life and nothing. Sometimes I have come so close to the 25,000 mark and it stops handing out points. Have you had this problem, too?
  • Ive been just playing on heroic with master blaster(am doing solo but still give score bonus) fog famin thunderstorm grunt funeral and depending on the length of the level,. Another on. Just party through it, focus almost exclusively on not dying. Just did metropolis like this and got about 41k after my time bonus. Just about any level I have gone for the score I do this. Usually works. Ce is a lite trickyer though.
  • @1 The problem is how much time you're spending in the level. As some levels have infinitely respawning enemies (especially in CE), the scoring system needs to stop point farming. As you begin, your time multiplier is 3.00 all the way up until you hit the par time. Then, it slowly ticks down to 1.00. After about 10-15 minutes of it being at a 1.00 multiplier, it will change to 0, and stop giving points. I've actually completed levels after hitting this, like The Ark and Cortana in Halo 3
  • I have gotten 21k and 25k on two different runs, but it didn't unlock. https://ia801503.us.archive.org/31/items/image1_20150323/IMG_6583.JPG https://ia601503.us.archive.org/31/items/image1_20150323/image1.JPG Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
  • The guide is erroneous, it's actually possible to get them in co-op play. There's even a little trick that makes things a lot easier (while a bit longer though). Start an online co-op play on Normal or Heroic with easy skulls like fog, famine, thunderstorm and jacked when there are no vehicles involved in the mission. Kill everything, don't pay attention to the time. When you're close to the end of the level or when your time multipier starts to decrease, if you're not close to the par score, the host can restart the level, both players will keep their score but the timer will reset back to zero! You can do this several times in a mission if needed.

  • I notice that if u do the save/quit it resets your score to zero compared to what u had last from your last checkpoint, so make sure when doing this do it all the way. Think this actually happened just recently.
  • Not sure if this is just a random bug with Halo 2, but it would seem that if you use Competitive Scoring, your score won't reset back to 0 if you save/quit. You may randomly lose some pts when you resume. Just make sure you go right to resume, and not in the mission selection menu. Also, I've noticed that you can use Iron Skull, and still do the save/quit trick to save your progress, or if you die when in Competitive Scoring. Just make to do it fast enough.
