Deja Vu Achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection

    H3: ODST: Complete Coastal Highway on 4-player Legendary co-op, with Iron, and no 'Hog or Scorpion.

      

  • How to unlock Deja Vu

    As a pesky reoccurring achievement, most of you should be familiar with the requirements in getting this done. First, you must activate the Iron skull in the Campaign lobby and begin the eighth mission of the game, Coastal Highway, from its beginning; you cannot start at a different Rally Point. 

    With the Iron skull activated, any death will revert all players back to their latest checkpoint. As for getting down the entire highway without a Warthog or Scorpion, it must be known that the first service tunnel on the highway contains 2 Mongooses and 4 Rocket Launchers with 999 ammo each. From here, each player should grab a Rocket Launcher and pair up on a Mongoose, then proceed through the highway segments as you regularly would. 

    For additional tips on this achievement, refer below:

    • All four players should communicate via headsets; communication is vital in order to prevent deaths throughout the mission, especially since players are heavily exposed on Mongooses
    • When driving the Mongooses down the highway, avoid getting in the path of Dare and always try to take out Covenant vehicles before focusing your attention of ground units
    • Each “gate checkpoint” contains two health kits, so utilize them wisely
    • If all four players enter each “gate checkpoint” at the same time and wait for 5-10 seconds before following Dare out, you should always force/trigger a checkpoint

    With clear communication and steadfast dedication, you and your team should have no problem pulling this off. The vast amount of Rocket Launcher ammunition is even key to finishing the final firefight of the mission with ease. As soon as the friendly Covenant Phantom swoops in to pick up the group, the ending cut scene will ensue and the achievement will unlock for all four players in the game.
